Conway The Machine Announces New Album “SFK” Dropping Soon

Fans of the Griselda trio of Conway The Machine, Westside Gunn, and Benny The Butcher hardly ever have to wait long for new music. Already this year, Benny The Butcher dropped his highly anticipated new studio album Everybody Can’t Go. The project was originally intended to drop last year but ended up being delayed until late January. That came just a few weeks after Westside Gunn and Conway dropped Hall & Nash 2, their second collaborative album with producer The Alchemist.

Now fans already know when they’re getting the next taste of Griselda and they won’t have to wait long. Conway The Machine took to Instagram to announce that his next album “SFK” was dropping soon. In fact, it’s just a few weeks away with a scheduled release date of May 10. He also shared the artwork for the album, a pretty simple and crude drawing of an angry face. Fans are unclear whether the project is his previous announced WON’T HE DO IT B-sides album or an entire new record. Check out the announcement he shared and the fan reaction to it below.

Conway The Machine’s New Album Drops Next Month

While Conway hasn’t dropped a new project this year, he seemingly hasn’t stopped working for a second. He’s released a handful of singles of his own. But he’s also appeared as a featured artist on an impressive amount of material across just four months. Back in March he teamed up with Joyner Lucas for the lyrical marvel “Sticks & Stones. “ Just a few weeks earlier he dropped the similarly impressive “Veritino” where he goes back-to-back with Joey Bada$$.

He also released an entire new edition of his 38 Spesh collaborative album Speshal Machinery with Big Ghost Ltd. called The Ghronic Edition. Bladee & Yung Lean Further Their Chemistry On “TERRIBLE EXCELLENCE”

Bladee and Yung Lean go together like peanut butter and jelly. The natives of Sweden are almost always able to display synergy whenever they are on a track together. They might not have as many collaborations as Metro Boomin and Future, for example, but their creative minds do not clash and create chaos. Which is why this new track from Bladee, “TERRIBLE EXCELLENCE,” sounds great.

This is one of the duo’s latest collaborations and it lands on Bladee’s newest project, Cold Visions. It is the 19th offering and second of 2024. The last album we got from him was just last month with Lean called Psykos. Cold Visions features a massive 30-song tracklist and this is just one of the team ups with Bladee and Yung Lean.

It is the fourth out of the five outings, and we think it is the strongest out of the pack. The beat, provided by Whitearmor and F1LTHY is incredibly aggressive and bassy. It fits the rest of the tracklist really well due to its commitment of being dark in tone. Bladee and Lean are rapping about how they are essentially addicted to loneliness and being a lone wolf. “I wanna kill everything just like Chucky, the boys lucky
The shards on me shine lucky, I’m out hunting / The knife, need to find something, I’m blood hungry
,” Bladee raps.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “TERRIBLE EXCELLENCE” by Bladee and Yung Lean? Is this their best collaboration of all time, why or why not? Was this Lean’s strongest guest performance on Cold Visions? Where does this song rank amongst the rest if the project’s tracklist? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Quotable Lyrics:

Pretty violence in the silence, it’s a dark story
Living legends in the flesh, it’s all pain and glory
I don’t even put the pressure, yeah, they do it for me
Enjoy the moments from the nightmares [?]
With the boring blood tourin’, through the pressure we are foreign
Not an angel without horns, there’s no roses without thorns

Kim Kardashian Facing Fan Harassment And Mass Unfollowing After Taylor Swift Diss Track

If anyone hasn’t heard yet, Taylor Swift recently released some new music. She dropped her new album The Tortured Poets Department over the weekend to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. Just a few hours after dropping her lengthy 16-track album, she had a surprise announcement. She revealed that the album was actually two albums with the second The Anthology adding an additional 15 tracks. It was within the tracklist of The Anthology where the song “thanK you aIMee” appears. From the specific capitalization in the title alone, fans could quickly tell the song was probably going to be about Kim Kardashian.

Kim K and Taylor have a beef that dates back to 2016 and was inherited from an already existing feud the pop star had with Kanye West. While Kim has been radio silent about the alleged beef for years, Taylor refuses to let it go. She’s brought up the reality star numerous times in the years since, though often in indirect ways. And on her new song, she once again takes aim. While many online criticized the track for feeling seemingly desperate to re-spark tensions, Swift’s own fanbase unsurprisingly went rabid for it. As a result, Kim’s social media has been swarming with Swifties for days.

Swifites Attack Kim Kardashian On Social Media

According to TMZ, Kardashian has lost more than 100k Instagram followers since the song dropped. Despite the loss she still sits at an astonishing 363 million followers, compared to Swift’s 283 million. Her comments have also been flooded by devout Swifties with criticisms of the reality star. She’s not the only one who has been harassed by the fanbase. Paste Magazine published their review without a byline in an attempt to avoid Swiftie harassment. But that unfortunately ended up in the fanbase attacking an unrelated writer on Twitter.

What do you think of Taylor Swift once again dragging up old beef with Kim Kardashian? Do you think her fans are overreacting by unfollowing Kim in bulk and spamming her comments? Let us know in the comment section below.

G Perico Brings Tiny Doo, Steelz, & Wallie The Sensei For “G Slim’s Revenge”

G Perico, Los Angeles, California rapper is back with a new album this weekend called G Slim’s Revenge. For him, this is his first record of 2024 and he still has a long way to go if he wants to duplicate his 2023 output. He was on a tear during that time, releasing three albums, including one with Gangsta Grillz, Hot Shot. On G Slim’s Revenge, G Perico is bringing nothing but groovy, sun soaked, bouncy bangers.

Up until the project’s release, the now 36-year-old as of April 3 put out two promotional singles. Those began to rollout not too long ago actually. “Troll Patrol” saw its streaming debut on April 5. Then, “She Sexy” would be out just a week later on April 12. As for the feature department, its pretty slim.

Rowdy Rebel & Fetty Luciano Continue Their Joint Effort Series With “Splash Brothers 2”

Two of Brooklyn’s rap talents, Rowdy Rebel and Fetty Luciano, are reuniting for a new album Splash Brothers 2. Based on the title, this is indeed a sequel, and it follows up the original nearly a year later exactly. If you did not know, Fetty and Rowdy are close friends and affiliated with the collective GS9. So, if you were wondering why these two have such a close relationship, that is the loose backstory.

Both Fetty and Rowdy like to stay in the trap and drill lanes and you get plenty of those high energy moments here. However, if you saw our review of Splash Brothers 2, we had some issues with some lackluster effort on some of the tracks. The beginning of the record has its flashes of potential, but “2024” and “Pistons” suffer from poor mixing and attention to detail. Additionally, the features do a better job for the most part when they show up.

But overall, it is a decent offering, but maybe not as desirable as their first Splash Brothers tape. In terms of how each rapper got to this point, Rowdy was coming off a 2023 that saw him drop his solo album Back Outside and the Fetty collab tape. As for the former, he has only dropped three projects overall, and it is just his second since his 2018 debut Story To Tell. If you want to support Splash Brothers 2, check out the links above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album Splash Brothers 2 by Rowdy Rebel and Fetty Luciano? Is this the best duo rap album of the year, why or why not? Berner Grabs Conway The Machine, Jay Worthy, Paul Wall & More For “The Farmer’s Market”

One thing about a fair amount of West Coast rappers is that they know how to drop chill and relaxing tracks. Berner is one of those artists and he is doing just that on his newest project The Farmer’s Market. The veteran who hails from San Francisco, California is back with his first record of the year and is following up a bustling 2023. It was period in which he dropped two albums being Trophies and Arrogance Is Ignorance (One Shot Kill).

Berner did not release any promotional singles for The Farmer’s Market, which is a different approach compared to his collab tape with OHGEESY, Trophies. However, what he lacks in teaser tracks, he makes up for in the feature department. On this effort, Berner taps rappers from all over to help bring that similar laid-back tone. On here, you will find names like Conway the Machine, Paul Wall, Jay Worthy, Curren$y and more.

Tracks were are messing with so far include “Cases” with the Buffalo MC Conway and “Mouth Piece” with Jay Worthy. The latter has a glitzy, luxurious, and transcendent instrumental that feels like a throwback to the 90s. “Cases” picks up the energy a little with a looping piano and background vocals. Be sure to check out the album with the links above.

BbyMutha Delivers Her Experimentative Album “Sleep Paralysis”

If you have not heard of BbyMutha, you need to get hip right away. The Chattanooga, Tennessee rapper is bringing a refreshing sound to the current trap heavy scene in the South. The 34-year-old feels like that fun aunt in your family with how goofy and carefree she portrays herself in her music. Releasing material since 2017, her style has only gotten more experimental and trippier over the years. All that creativity has brought BbyMutha to this point in dropping maybe her best work to date with sleep paralysis.

Earlier this year in February, we got word that she would coming through with this project through press release. On the same day of that news, she went on to drop one of the album’s promotional tracks “go!” Furthermore, we can officially say that BbyMutha is now on her self-titled tour. It will run through June 2 and will also see her travel across the pond, a surely exciting thing for relatively small artist.

Across this album, the expressive MC is delivering some incredibly rich and colorful beats. Surprisingly, BbyMutha only brought on two producers for it. Those two names inlcude J-Rick and Rock Floyd. Big ups to them for getting wacky and presenting some truly unheard of production. BbyMutha does not get lost in the fold though that much either. Outside of “piss!” there really is not a track that she takes a backseat to. Be sure to run up sleep paralysis with the links above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album sleep paralysis by BbyMutha? Is this her strongest body of work, why or why not? What tracks are you gravitating toward right now and why? DJ Quik And Problem Are Reuniting For New Album “Chupacabra”

DJ Quik and Problem are West Coast titans from different time periods. Quik represents the G-funk heyday of the 1990s, while Problem rose to fame during the 2010s with scene-stealing guest verses. They bring different strengths to the table as rappers (and Quik as producer), but also they compliment each other in a lot of ways. It’s not surprising that Quik and Problem have announced plans for a brand new album called Chupacabra. They already linked up for the 2017 release Rosecrans, after all. A new album is exciting because it will allow them to build on their established chemistry and hone in on what they do best.

Quik and Problem announced the album on Friday, April 19. They have yet to share a release date, but they did treat fans to a brand new single called “Workout.” The single features guest verses from West Coast luminary Rodney-O, and sees the duo spit bars about self-improvement and style. “Do ya thing in the mirror and express yourself,” Problem asserts. “We all make mistakes, correct yourself/ If ya don’t like their style then dress yourself.” Lil Jon is also featured on the track, adding to its throwback energy.

Problem discussed his working relationship with Quik during an interview with Red Bull Academy. He said he was shocked to realize that Quik felt over the hill when they made Rosecrans. “[Quik] thought nobody was f**king with him, which is crazy to me,” Problem revealed. “People just want to go with the new, and they don’t understand there’s no new without that. We need to do this a whole lot more. We really need to show the world how this s**t really go.”

DJ Quik and Problem had busy years planned before they announced Chupacabra. The former is going to be an opener on Snoop Dogg’s Cali to Canada tour, which runs throughout the summer and will see him share a bill with Warren G. Quik has been extremely quiet on the music front this decade, as his last joint album was Rosecrans and his last solo album was The Midnight Life in 2014.

Between the tour and Chupacabra, 2024 is shaping up to be a comeback year for Quik. Problem has been much busier in the years since Rosecrans dropped. He released two studio albums, I Owe Myself and A Compton Story, in 2023 alone.

Mary J Blige Reveals She’s Working On A New Album, But It Will Probably Be Her Last

Mary J Blige has been putting out music for decades with a nearly uninterrupted presence in R&B since her debut in 1992. In the 32 year’s since she’s dropped 13 more projects and recently confirmed that a 15th is on the way. During a recent interview with People she spoke on her current attitude while in the studio. “I’m actually in the studio right now recording more music, and I’m having fun. I’m having fun no matter what happens,” she explained.

But that wasn’t the end of the discussion of new music. She spoke on what was currently inspiring her to create more music, saying “I believe in love for myself, love for life, love for happiness, love for God, love for peace. Know that life is full of ups and downs, and roll with the punches because life is important.” Finally, she revealed that she’s working on her next studio album. While that’s an exciting prospect for fans she also revealed some bad news. “It’s probably my last studio album,” she revealed. Check out the full interview with People below.

Mary J Blige Is Working On Her Final Album

In the same interview, Mary J Blige reacted to comments Flavor Flav made about her. The Public Enemy rapper is one of the most surprising Swifties around and he compared Blige to Taylor Swift. She completely agreed with the comparison pointing out the similar approaches they have to songwriting. Swift just released her new double album The Tortured Poets Department which could sell more than 2 million copies in its first week alone.

Blige didn’t reveal any information about when the album may arrive as it seems like work is very much still in progress. Her last studio album Good Morning Gorgeous dropped back in 2022. What do you think of Mary J Blige working on her 15th studio album? Do you think the project will actually be the final studio album of her career? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kendrick Lamar May Be Saving His Drake Response For A New Album In May

Last month, Drake sparked the biggest rap beef of the year, or at least the biggest since Megan The Stallion and Nicki Minaj went head-to-head in January. He called out both Drake and J. Cole on the Future & Metro Boomin song “Like That” and things have moved VERY quickly since then. Cole released a diss track of his own only to quickly apologize and delete it. Drake dropped a response that just hit streaming services earlier today. And now fans are anticipating Kendrick’s next move.

Rory & Mal‘s podcast has been discussing the beef as it unfolds and occasionally sharing some insight. During a recent episode Mal claimed that a “little bird” passed some information along to him. The news he shared is pretty big, claiming that the reason Kendrick hasn’t released a response yet is that he’s saving it for a new album coming later this year. In fact, he pretty confidently declared that the project was coming in May, far sooner than even some of the most optimistic Kendrick fans imagined. He took a full 5 years break between DAMN and Mr Morale & The Big-Steppers, which dropped less than two years ago. Check out the claims Mal makes in the clip below,

Kendrick Lamar May Drop A New Album Next Month

Another podcast has been talking about the Drake and Kendrick beef quite a bit, Joe Budden’s. He’s been calling together emergency podcast episodes to cover nearly every development in the rap drama so far. In his most recent episode, some more insight was shared about a potential Kendrick response. One of his co-hosts compared Kendrick’s supposed response to “Hit Em Up” by 2pac. It’s unclear if the two reports contradict each other and only time will tell which is more accurate.

What do you think of Mal sharing the rumor that Kendrick Lamar could be dropping a new album next month? If he is, do you think saving a Drake response until then is the right move? Let us know in the comment section below.
