Cardi B Shares Unclear Words Of Advice With Fans

Cardi B often uses her social media to interact with fans in ways people don’t entirely understand. Yesterday she took the opportunity to share some words of advice with her audience. “Never let them know your next move. Just know mine is personal,” a tweet she made reads. While it’s entirely unclear what she meant by that, fans have taken the statement and run with the speculation. In the comments, fans discuss whether she could be talking about new music or something else entirely.

Cardi B started 2023 off by teasing fans about the release of her long-awaited second studio album. After a few weeks of those teases, however, things began to slow down and Cardi has shifted her focus into other artists’ songs. She lent a feature to one of the biggest rap hits of the year so far, Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again.” She also teamed up with underground star in the making FendiDa Rapper on the track “Point Me 2.” The song has already become Fendi’s most streamed on Spotify tallying over 10 million plays.

Cardi B’s Ominous Twitter Warning

Cardi B’s newest release was a collaboration with her husband Offset. The pair teamed up for a new song called “JEALOUSY.” The track played into the public visibility and history of their relationship and received overwhelmingly positive reception from fans. “JEALOUSY” will serve as the lead single of Offset’s new solo album, his first since 2019. He said in a recent interview that the current timeline for the project’s release was October of this year.

As for Cardi’s own new album, fans are still guessing. She released her first studio project Invasion Of Privacy all the way back in 2018. The album was a smash success following the breakout of her song “Bodak Yellow.” It also contained a song that would eventually become even bigger in the Bad Bunny and J Balvin collab “I Like It.” Though she has taken more than 5 years to follow it up, fans are still feverishly awaiting a new release from Cardi. What do you think Cardi B’s new tweet is hinting towards? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott Hits Huge Milestone With “Utopia”

Travis Scott impressed fans a couple of weeks ago when he dropped off his brand-new album, Utopia. Overall, this album was a huge triumph for Scott given all of the features. Moreover, it is an album that his core fanbase is appreciating quite a bit right now. Although the reviews have been fairly mixed, there is no doubt that commercial success is making up for it. For instance, in the first week, Scott was able to sell a total of 496K records. This was a massive accomplishment, even if bundles were involved.

Subsequently, many fans were interested in whether or not he would be able to carry this success into the second week. There hasn’t been a single hip-hop album to stay at number one for consecutive weeks in 2023. However, it looks like Travis Scott has gotten over the hump. According to AllHipHop, Scott sold 147,000 units in the album’s second week. This was good enough for first place as he exceeded Morgan Wallen by 50K units. Now, hip-hop finally has a multiweek number one in 2023.

If there was any artist who could have pulled this off, it most certainly would have been Travis. However, Drake is set to drop a new album as well, and he will likely go number one as well. Moving forward, it should be interesting to see how Travis does in his third week. Quavo is dropping an album this Friday and that will certainly be looking to compete for the top spot. However, Scott and Wallen appear to be immovable forces right now.

Let us know your thoughts on Utopia, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Ez Mil’s “DU4LI7Y: REDUX” Is A Dense Introduction To The Eminem & Dr. Dre Signee

Ez Mil made the whole rap game turn their heads when Eminem and Dr. Dre signed him to Aftermath, Interscope, and Shady. Moreover, the Filipino-American MC is the first artist to have done so since 50 Cent back in 2002, which already sets up high expectations. Fortunately, if you’re a fan of any of these artists, you’re probably going to like what the first release after his signing, DU4LI7Y: REDUX has to offer. Across 11 tracks, Ez showcases a lot of lyrical dexterity, narrative prowess, catchy melodic writing, and crisp but grounded instrumentals. If you hadn’t heard of this new talent yet, then let this be your first taste of someone that could rise to great heights.

Furthermore, that potential is based on pretty much every aspect of songwriting and production here. In addition, it has the additional cultural component of representing his heritage, switching between rapping in English and Tagalog on songs like “27 Bodies,” and he’s equally as fiery with both. Sometimes, the production plays with more contemporary sounds, whereas others tackle dramatic and impactful boom-bap and more classic sounds. Lyrically, Ez Mil focuses a lot on not just the rap game and his come-up, but also social issues affecting his home country and beyond. With plenty of versatile flows, deliveries, and melodic approaches, the 25-year-old lays the foundation for any style he wants to expand upon.

Ez Mil’s DU4LI7Y: REDUX: Stream

Meanwhile, it was quite a smart choice to have “Realest” with Eminem come out before this project to build up a lot of hype. While it’s definitely a standout here for the feature alone, it’s not even close to the highest peaks on DU4LI7Y: REDUX. Here’s hoping that we continue to see more greatness from this promising young talent in the future. If you haven’t heard this album yet, find it on your preferred streaming service and check out the tracklist below. Also, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Ez Mil and more great hip-hop each week.

Pusha T On Releasing A New Clipse Project: “I Really Would Love To”

Pusha T says that he’s very interested in releasing a new Clipse album alongside his brother, No Malice. He discussed the idea during a recent interview with PEOPLE. The comments come after Pusha and No Malice debuted a new collaboration at Pharrell’s first fashion show as creative director of Louis Vuitton, earlier this year.

“I really would hope so,” Push told the outlet while discussing the possibility of a new Clipse project. “I really would love to, man, I really would love to. At this point I feel like we’ve been in a space a lot together lately, and in those spaces the creativity’s just been flowing.”

“So that’s where you get songs like you heard at the [Louis Vuitton] fashion show. Really what we’ve been doing a lot of it is just contributing with our friends,” Pusha added during the interview. “Like, ‘OK, Pharrell’s a creative director of LV, he needs music for the show.’ How would we not show up for that? How would me and my brother not show up for a Nigo album? I think the creativity between us and just the collective of the family that everybody knows where this started from, is something that you can’t just stop.”

Clipse released their last album, Til the Casket Drops, in 2009; however, they’ve collaborated on a handful of occasions in recent years. When they debuted a new song during Paris Fashion Week, Pusha T started a feud with Dipset rapper Jim Jones. Jones responded to the diss with a track of his own shortly afterward, but Pusha has yet to continue the back and forth. He is currently on tour in Europe. Be on the lookout for further information on Clipse’s next album on HotNewHipHop.

Killer Mike recently reflected on JAY-Z’s reaction to hearing his latest album, Michael. Mike discussed his relationship with the legendary rapper as well as the praise he had for the new project while appearing on an episode of Math Hoffa’s podcast, My Expert Opinion.

“I be tripping out now when I wake up, get up, moving around and see a text from him just out of nowhere,” he said. “Like, ‘Peace God. I see what you did. Just sending some encouragement your way.’ He’s still a very grounded, cool human being. I appreciate all the love and encouragement.”

He continued: “As I was making the record, we sent it to him early and he sent back some real positive notes. He sent back a great compliment, he was like, ‘It feels like I went to my cousin’s house and watched a movie.’ I was really honored. I think it was about a year ago he sent that comment. And we delivered.” Mike dropped his self-titled album as his first solo project in 11 years, following 2012’s R.A.P. Music. He worked on the effort with numerous other high-profile artists including Young Thug, André 3000, Future, Currensy, 2 Chainz, and more. Check out Mike’s appearance on My Expert Opinion below.

Killer Mike On Connecting With JAY-Z

Killer Mike has collaborated on music with JAY-Z in the past. Also while speaking with Math Hoffa, Mike detailed how his feature on JAY-Z’s “Poppin Tags” came together. “I was on the tour bus with Outkast and Big [Boi] came and said, ‘Aye, Hov just called. He said he got this feature ‘Poppin Tags.’ I told him, ‘I don’t think Dre really wanna do no features right now.’ He said, ‘No, I want the young boy. Killer Mike!’” He added: “Originally I was right behind Jay and if you hear it, they clipped it. I think they put Twista between us. Because I think I showed the fuck out.”

Trippie Redd & Lil Wayne Chop Up Some Soul On New Song “I’m Mad At Me”

Trippie Redd’s A Love Letter To You 5 is finally here, and it contains no shortage of varied tracks and highlights. While many might know the Ohio singer and rapper for his more emotive, rage-heavy, or melancholy cuts, he’s got a lot of different tools at his disposal. Moreover, when you also have the help of a legend and strong influence like Lil Wayne, you can make any great song you want. Furthermore, that’s exactly what the duo brought fans on “I’m Mad At Me,” which is a soul-chopping classic cut with a lot of clean sheen and crispness. It’s a welcome change of pace for Trippie who, with every new project, seems to add another skillset to his repertoire.

Of course, the beat is what will catch you attention on first impact, sounding like some of your favorite 2000s productions. With a powerful and dramatic vocal chop, the song’s sense of immediacy and importance is heightened to another level. Sure, the crisp and vibrant drum fills don’t always pop up across the track, but it makes their hits that much more ear-grabbing on the song. Melodically, Trippie Redd allows for subtle pianos, a slinky bassline, and faint guitar strums to lead the way. Lyrically, both MCs seem to focus on a relationship that they’re trying to balance with both their hardened backstory and their current fame.

Meanwhile, both verses contain steady and expertly handled flows, especially from Weezy who sounds calmer and more focused than usual. Considering that this was one of the tracks that Trippie teased right before this album’s release, it’s great to hear that it lived up to the hype. Trippie Redd Releases “A Love Letter To You 5”

After a few pushbacks on the release date, we finally have A Love Letter To You 5. This is Trippie Redd’s fifth mixtape, as well as being the fifth installment of the A Love Letter To You series. The Canton, Ohio native also put out MANSION MUSIK at the beginning of the year in January. The project received a fair amount of negative reviews, however, that did not deter him one bit. From November through December 2021, the hitmaker dropped quite a few Instagram posts that included a variety of snippets for A Love Letter To You 5.

Furthermore, Redd and DJ Akademiks sat down to talk about the mixtape. The “Love Scars” rapper proclaims that this is his best body of work and final entry of the series after a grueling three to four years spent working on this. “A Love Letter To You 5 is gonna be, if not the best body of music I’ve ever did, one of them. For sure. This is the last one. This the last A Love Letter to You so…I done put my all into it.”
