Ne-Yo’s music makes him sound like a loyal, romantic sort of lover, and while he certainly loves to spoil the ladies in his life, he’s not tying himself down to just one of them at this time. As The Shade Room reports, the “Closer” hitmaker looks to be cozying up with two different baddies lately. While most rappers prefer to keep their pursuits away from each other, Ne-Yo’s lovers are seemingly friends, and both of them have tattoos dedicated to the R&B vocalist.
One of the ladies got a medium-sized piece honouring the father of seven beneath her left butt cheek. As shown below, it can be difficult to make out at first, but upon closer inspection, it’s obvious that Ne-Yo’s silhouette (including his famous fedora) is permanently sitting beneath her curvaceous booty. She and the entertainer have been hanging out since at least last spring, already taking trips to Dubai and Africa together. On top of that, they also have a pet dog named Chimere together.
As for the second woman who has his attention, TSR tells us her name is Arielle. She’s been referring to Ne-Yo as her “twin flame” for some time, though the formal status of their relationship is unknown. Still, they have matching ink on their forearms, and the outlet was able to confirm that she and the 44-year-old’s mystery woman are at least cool enough to pose for photos and hang out together.
On the topic of controversial tattoos, Chrisean Rock’s Instagram follower count continues to drop after she debuted her new ink of Blueface. The Baddies star has numerous pieces dedicated to her baby daddy, though she got one of the biggest portraits covered up during their massive 2023 feud. Read more about that at the link below, and check back in with HNHH later for more music and pop culture news updates.
Today, three-time, Grammy award-winning hitmaker NE-YO unveiled a new remix to his single “Link Up (feat. Fabolous),” which is currently available to stream on all platforms HERE via Motown Records/Compound Entertainment.
NE-YO and Fabolous also dropped a fresh visual to accompany the remix, directed by Azzie Scott, view HERE.In the black-and-white visual, the duo adds their own flair to the rejuvenated sample of Michael Wycoff’s 1980s R&B hit “Looking Up To You” produced by Hitmaka, Cardiak and Wu10.
The remix showcases Fabolous’ signature wordplay paired with NE-YO’s smooth vocals in what marks the latest iteration of their longstanding string of collaborations. The creative partnership between these two titans dates back to “She Got Her Own” with Jamie Foxx and Fabolous’s “Make Me Better” [feat. NE-YO]—which rose to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Over the years, the dynamic duo have also collaborated on “Crazy Love” from NE-YO’s Libra album and “Should Be You” from the R&B hitmaker’s R.E.D. album. Earlier this year, NE-YO shined on a wide array of stages, including a headlining performance at The White House’s 4th of July celebration on the South Lawn. He also delivered his iconic hits at Michael Rubin’s renowned, Hamptons white party that brought together the biggest titans in business, entertainment, sports and music.
“Link Up” marks his first release since hiseighth studio album,Self Explanatory, which included collaborations with Yung Bleu, Jeremih and Trippie Redd. His collaboration with Jeremih on “U 2 Luv” topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for three weeks.
In his career to date, NE-YO has a combined total of over 23 BILLION streams worldwide. He has won three GRAMMY awards and been honored with a total of 14 nominations. His first single, 2005’s “So Sick,” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was certified quadruple Platinum. Since then, he has racked up a collection of hit singles – including “Sexy Love,” “Closer,” “Because of You,” “Miss Independent” and “Push Back” featuring Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don.
Ne-Yo has been a father since 2010, and over the last 13 years, the number of his kids has increased to seven. He shares his seven children with three women he was involved with at different points. The man is a multi-talented R&B icon. However, of all his many impressive titles, he has admitted that “father” is the one he is most proud of.
The singer maintains a cordial relationship with the mothers of his children. Recently, in an interview with VladTV, Ne-Yo divulged the secret to his relationships. He briefly discussed how he retains such healthy balances with all three women. Whether the ladies have contrasting opinions, we may never know. If there’s any bad blood, they certainly keep it airtight within their circle. Here’s what there is to know about the three women who co-parent Ne-Yo’s children
Monyetta Shaw is an actress, author, and philanthropist. In addition, she is the founder of The Evan Grace Group, a company that “develops and manages prominent global brands in the entertainment, publishing and fashion industries.” In November 2010, Shaw gave birth to Ne-Yo’s first child, a girl they named Madison. Her birth was complicated as she was born prematurely, arriving several weeks before she was expected. However, she was safely delivered and has grown up healthy and strong. Very soon after Madison’s birth, her mother became pregnant yet again. By October 2011, Ne-Yo and Shaw celebrated the arrival of their second child together, a boy they named Mason.
The two never got married but were engaged until they called things off. In August 2023, during an interview with Haus of Aaron, Shaw revealed the surprising reason why. She shared that they used to have threesomes, and they both agreed to it. However, according to her, the singer was beginning to enjoy them a bit too much and asked to have them frequently.
“I was like, ‘If you want that, then you don’t want me.’ I tried to keep it cute and spicy, but it wasn’t enough,” she said. After they separated, Ne-Yo and Shaw maintained a cordial relationship, co-parenting their two kids together. Shaw went on to marry Heath Carter in 2021, and the couple has been together since. She has also dabbled in the entertainment industry, starring in reality TV shows, including The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Atlanta Exes.
Ne-Yo’s ex-wife and mother to three of his children, Crystal Renay, is a former reality TV star and model. Renay has starred in the shows About the Business (2016) and The Platinum Life (2017). She is also NudeLuxeRx Skincare’s CEO and owns Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles in Midtown Atlanta. Ne-Yo and Crystal got into a relationship soon after they met, and before a year was up, they were engaged.
When they announced their plan to marry in September 2015, the couple also shared they were expecting their first child together. Subsequently, they tied the knot in February 2016, and their first son was born the following month. Two years later, in June 2018, their second child, another son, arrived. Following a divorce scare in February 2020, the couple reconciled when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The following year, they welcomed another child, a daughter, making the number of kids shared by Ne-yo and Renay add up to three.
Although the couple renewed their vows in April 2022, trouble soon hit, and divorce was back in the picture. Crystal Renay filed for divorce based on allegations that Ne-Yo cheated on her and fathered a child she was previously unaware of. On January 26, 2023, the pair finalized their divorce and parted ways. However, despite their separation, Ne-Yo and Renay both co-parent their kids, Shaffer, Roman, and Isabella.
Sade Bagnerise is a social media influencer, and up until recently, she was the latest recipient of Ne-Yo’s affection. Bagnerise is the mother of Ne-Yo’s last two kids, Braiden and Brixton, and not much else is known about her. Earlier this year, Ne-Yo filed a lawsuit against the influencer, seemingly out of nowhere. In response, she filed a lawsuit of her own in June. The lawsuit concerned the paternity of their two kids, as well as primary custody over them.
In early October, Ne-Yo was officially declared the legal father of the two kids. However, it seems the singer wants to keep the details of their custody battle private. Ne-Yo reportedly asked the court to issue Bagnerise a gag order, restricting her from sharing information about their court case. It is yet to be seen how this custody battle will affect their relationship.
Grammy Award winning singer / songwriter Ne-Yo is still in a bitter child support battle with the mother of his two youngest sons, Sade Bagnerise. After questioning if Sade’s second child belonged to him, it was revealed that it was his child. Now Ne-Yo wants a gag order on the case. He feels it would be in the best interest of his children to seal information about his finances, the location of his homes, the amount of child support he will be paying and the entire settlement agreement.
Radar Online reports:
Ne-Yo asked the court to order that his ex Sade Bagnerise not be allowed to speak about their court battle publicly — days before he was found to be the biological father of her 2 sons, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Ne-Yo [real name: Shaffer Smith] pleaded for a confidentiality order and for certain filings to be sealed in his paternity lawsuit.
Last week, the court declared Ne-Yo was the legal father to the 2 children.
RadarOnline.com has obtained the motion that Ne-Yo filed days before the development. He said he is an “international recording artist” which led to the lawsuit being examined closely.
Ne-Yo argued it would be in the best interest of his children to seal information about his finances, the location of his homes, the amount of child support he will be paying and the entire settlement agreement.
Further, he asked that Sade be prohibited from, “discussing the proceedings and any aspect of the proceedings in the media to include but not limited to social media, print media, internet, radio, and or television media in further directives held under the Domestic Relations Standing Order.”

This week Grammy Award winning singer/ songwriter Ne-Yo and the mother of his two youngest sons, Instagram model Big Sade, were ordered into mediation over their child support battle. Now it has been revealed that Sade was arrested in March for cruelty to children for helping her fight a classmate at the bus stop. Witnesses and cameras allegedly saw Sade “kick and place the child in a chokehold before spraying him in the face with pepper spray.
Radar Online reports:
Ne-Yo’s ex-girlfriend Sade Bagnerise was taken into custody on charges of cruelty to children after she allegedly helped her son fight another child at the bus stop, RadarOnline.com has learned.
RadarOnline.com has obtained a petition for a temporary protective order filed by a woman named Veronica Madison against Sade.
In the petition, Veronica claimed Sade and Sade’s son, whom she does not share with Ne-Yo, “premeditated the act” of driving from their home to her neighborhood. She alleged they went to the bus stop, hid behind the bushes, and then attacked her son after he exited the school bus.
Veronica said eyewitnesses and camera footage captured Sade allegedly punching Veronica’s son as Sade’s child also fought him.
In the petition, she said witnesses saw Sade “kick and place my son in a chokehold prior to spraying him in the face with pepper spray. Eyewitnesses notified law enforcement at which point [Sade] and her son fled the scene.”
Veronica claimed that witnesses stayed on the scene and “gave account of what they saw to police.”
She said paramedics were called to treat her son for pepper spray in his “eyes, hair and on his body.’
Since the alleged incident, Veronica said Sade’s son has continued to make verbal threats via social media. She claims Sade’s child has sent messages and attempted video calls — and even allegedly threatened to “kill my son on video.”
“He’s also made threats to breach my home and inflict harm on my son, myself, my mother, repeatedly, with gunfire,” she alleged.
Veronica added, “This is the 3rd altercation with my son” and Sade’s child. “All three times [Sade’s son] has summoned my son to fight. The last two times he’s attacked him without warning. Once at school and once at the bus stop.”
The mother said her son does not have any interest in fighting with Sade’s son.
In her petition, filed in March 2023, Veronica stated, “[Sade] has been arrested and is currently being held at Fulton County Jail. Charges have also been pressed against the child. Bond conditions state no contact with my family. This [restraining order petition] is being filed to further enforce the ruling.”
Jail records obtained by RadarOnline.com show Sade was arrested on March 27 on charges of cruelty to children – 1st degree, cruelty to children – 3rd degree, and battery.
Sade was released on March 29 after posting a bond of $31k.
The discourse that unfolded online surrounding Ne-Yo’s opinions on transgender children earlier in August proved that there are those who understand where the “So Sick” singer is coming from. His baby mama, Monyetta Shaw-Carter, however, is not one of them. The mother of two of Ne-Yo’s children spoke candidly with TMZ about her ex’s controversial comments recently, telling the outlet that his thoughts aren’t in alignment with the way she views the world or the LGBTQ+ community.
“Those views are HIS,” she declared, though Shaw-Carter still made it clear that she respects the recording artist’s right to have his own opinion. “I came from an era where a man was a man and a woman was a woman,” Ne-Yo stated in his initial viral interview. “It’s not my business, but it becomes my business when you try to make me play these games with you,” he added. While an apology did surface on his Twitter account shortly after, on IG, the multi-talent doubled down on his original perspective, making it clear that he refuses to be bullied into apologizing.
Monyetta Shaw-Carter Doesn’t Agree with Ne-Yo’s LGBTQ+ Hot Take
For her part, Monyetta would rather side with those who have experienced what it’s like to be transgender themselves. She did state that her and Ne-Yo’s co-parenting relationship has become a positive one, and that she isn’t in contact with her baby daddy’s other exes, Sade and Crystal, at this time. The “Miss Independent” hitmaker recently revealed that the way he keeps things civil amongst his blended family is to keep the bickering away from his kids.
Amid all the backlash he’s been facing for sharing his opinion on transgender children, Ne-Yo took a moment to reflect on the challenges that often come with raising seven children. According to the R&B icon, “It takes a village.” Read what else he had to say at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
Ne-Yo has found himself in hot water after controversial remarks about parenting and gender identity. In a recent interview with Gloria Velez for Vlad TV, the Grammy-winning singer expressed his opinion on parents encouraging their children to identify as the opposite gender. Ne-Yo Talks Gender Identity & Parenting Ne-Yo is facing backlash following contentious statements […]
After Ne-Yo’s comments about young children changing their gender identity during a VladTV interview went viral, the “So Sick” hitmaker has been feeling the heat. He initially doubled down on his statement that parents should think twice about giving their young ones so much freedom in that department, but later on Monday (August 7), a formal apology appeared on Ne-Yo’s Twitter account. In that, he promised to further educate himself on the LGBTQ+ community so that he could approach future conversations with more empathy. Some were happy enough with that response, but based on his latest IG post, it seems the R&B star may not have approved of the message that went out.
“Ok. This s**t is getting out of hand. FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED INTO APOLOGIZING FOR HAVING AN OPINION. AGREEING TO DISAGREE IS NOT A DECLARATION OF WAR,” the Arkansas native wrote under a black-and-white video posted to his feed a few hours ago. He went on to apologize to anyone hurt by his own imperfections and mistakes before making it clear that he’s not willing to compromise his integrity on the topic of transgender children. “My intention is never to offend anybody…but my opinion is MINE and I’m entitled to it,” Ne-Yo declared.
“I don’t care what y’all do with yours. That’s YOURS. This is how I FEEL. If one of my seven kids were to decide that [they] wanted to be something other than what they were born as, once they’re old enough and mature enough to make that decision… So be it. Not gonna love em’ any less,” the entertainer further explained. “Daddy is still Daddy and he loves you regardless. But this isn’t even a discussion until they are MENTALLY MATURE ENOUGH to have such a discussion.” At the end of his message, Yo reminded his followers that “LOVE IS THE ONLY TRUE POWER.”
Seeing as Ne-Yo is a father of seven, we can completely understand why he would want to have a say in his own children’s future. However, where critics online seem to take issue is with the singer’s condemnation of the way other people raise their little ones. See a recent photo of Yo and his family at the link below, and let us know if you think he owes upset internet users an apology or not in the comments.
