Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, has gotten a judge’s permission to join her on the international leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, which will kick off later this month. In a filing to the court, Petty argued he needed to accompany the family for “various purposes, including childcare.” The two share a 3-year-old son.
“Defendant Kenneth Petty (‘Mr. Petty’), by and through counsel, hereby applies to the Court for an Order allowing him to travel out of the country with his family for his wife’s tour and her professional purposes,” the filing reads, as shared by Meghann Cuniff. “Mr. Petty and Mrs. Petty believe Mr. Petty is necessary to accompany the family on the tour for various purposes, including childcare. The anticipated travel schedule begins on April 17, 2024, and continues periodically to July 14, 2024. The travel schedule calls for travel to several countries including Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Austria, Ireland, Switzerland, and Romania. The Government has been notified about this application and takes no position. Mr. Petty’s probation officer has been notified of this application and has no objection to the travel request.”

Los Angeles Judge Michael Fitzgerald approved the request on Tuesday. Petty will have to supply his probation officer with the exact details of his travel arrangements and return to Los Angeles as soon as the tour concludes in July. The drama stems from Petty being a registered sex offender for the 1994 rape of Jennifer Hough, who was 16 years old at the time. Additionally, he was sentenced to 120 days of house arrest in 2023 for threatening Offset.

To be clear: As far as we can gather from publicly available information, Kanye West does not wear diapers. That hasn’t stopped Jack Antonoff from jokingly making that assertion about Ye, though. He did so in a Los Angeles Times interview from February, and he did so again yesterday (April 16) on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
The discourse started when Kimmel rattled off a list of some of Antonoff’s collaborators, all of whom were women. He jokingly asked what Antonoff has against men, and then more seriously wondered if there’s something that makes him more inclined to work with female artists over male ones.
Antonoff attested that he works with a lot of men, too. He then went on to try to explain his perspective to Kimmel, and after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at getting Kimmel to understand, he eventually said:
“I think men… There’s two people that I think are are almost too over-sensitive to even function, and it’s men and members of the music industry. The amount of sensitivity… it’s sort of like watching Kanye. By the way — and Jimmy, you might like this because I know that you have your own relationship with the right and how you interact with them, and you’re much closer to how I see these things than other people. I don’t like going to people and, ‘You do this, you do this, blah blah blah,’ because that’s what they want, you know, this sort of type of over-sensitive man. So I just do more of this, like… like if I saw Kanye, I would run up to him and be like, ‘The diaper… your diaper is so full, we have to change your diaper. Your diaper needs to be changed, there’s a huge problem.’”
He then compared that mindset to Kimmel’s famously antagonistic approach to Donald Trump and his supporters, assessing that, like Kimmel, he prefers to “up the trolling” instead of being “overly offended.”

Rick Ross uncovered footage of Drake saying the n-word from years ago and posted the clip on his Instagram Story, on Tuesday. The move comes amid the ongoing feud between the two, which has devolved into nonstop taunting on social media, following a pair of diss tracks last week.
With his latest antics, Ross began by accusing the Toronto rapper of having ghostwriters for even his Instagram captions. “BBL Drizzy, just pick your phone up and talk to the people. You’re okay,” Ross said. “We know you may be shallow but everything’s fine.” From there, he called Drake a “white boy” and played the aforementioned clip.

It isn’t the first time Ross has labeled Drake a “white boy.” On his diss track, “Champagne Moments,” he echoed a similar sentiment. For the last two years, NBA YoungBoy has been under house arrest in Utah. Overall, this stems from a charge in Louisiana that he is currently awaiting trial for. During this time, he has continued to make music and record music videos on his property. However, it seems as though the legal issues for YoungBoy have taken a significant turn for the worse. According to DJ Akademiks, the rapper was arrested on Tuesday, and he has been hit with numerous charges.
The charges in question are “patterns of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon.” Previously, authorities had accused YoungBoy of doing drugs in his home, and they were looking to use this as a reason to revoke his house arrest. With this latest arrest, it seems like he will have to be behind bars for a while. As Akademiks notes in his reports, he is currently without bond at this time.

Drake and The Weeknd are two of music’s biggest stars right now. The two first crossed paths in the early 2010s when The Weeknd was hardly known. Since then, their relationship surprisingly seems to have gone bad. Now, it looks like The Weeknd has taken the beef to the studio.
While they started off as collaborators, their friendship slowly deteriorated over the years, possibly to a point of no return. In the last few weeks, Drake has been dissed by a handful of rappers. With the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s latest collab project WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, fans are wondering if The Weeknd also took a shot at Drake. Here’s a timeline of the two’s relationship over the years.
The story of Drake and The Weeknd begins in 2010, the start of a significant decade for both artists. In December 2010, Drake introduced his fans to The Weeknd, who, at the time, had very little following. Two of the singer’s songs were shared on Drake’s October’s Very Own blog with the caption “Introducing The Weeknd.” Subsequently, the two linked up in 2011 during one of The Weeknd’s shows in Canada and began working together soon after. When Drake’s sophomore album eventually dropped in November 2011, the pair’s first collab was shared with the world. “Crew Love,” a standout track from Take Care,introduced a host of new fans to The Weeknd and his music. The song was the first of a handful of collaborations between the two iconic artists.
2012: The Weeknd Turns Drake Down And Signs A Deal With Republic Records

What counts to me is the fact that the affiliation is so known, and that’s all I really care about.”

However, in a surprising turn of events, the singer chose to go with Republic Records instead. Following a cryptic tweet from Drake on December 11, 2012, fans speculated that the rapper was displeased with The Weeknd’s decision. However, the following year, the two were back to working together like nothing happened.
2015: The Weeknd Says He Gave Up Half Of His Album For Drake
During an interview with Rolling Stone in October 2015, The Weeknd shared some interesting news. The singer revealed that he made significant contributions to Drake’s 2011 album Take Care. “I gave up almost half of my album. It’s hard. I will always be thankful—if it wasn’t for the light he shined on me, who knows where I’d be. And everything happens for a reason. You never know what I would say if this success wasn’t in front of me now,” he said. The revelation was particularly damning for Drake because he had been facing ghostwriting allegations. Following this interview, there was a noticeable rift between Drake and The Weeknd.
After the two barely interacted for over a year, they seemingly reunited in February 2017. The Weeknd made an appearance during a stop in Germany on Drake’s Boy Meets World tour. However, tension arose again later in 2017 when rumors started spreading that Drake was dating Bella Hadid, The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend. In October 2017, Page Six reported that Bella Hadid hooked up with the “Hotline Bling” rapper. Subsequently, Hadid commented that she was friends with Drake and nothing more. However, fans claimed to notice that Drake and The Weeknd were not on the best terms following the rumors.
Later, on November 15, 2017, Drake celebrated the six-year anniversary of Take Care. He shared a photo of a rare draft of the album’s tracklist on his Instagram account, evidently happy. However, his mood was subsequently dampened when his attention was called to a comment someone left under the post. The commenter discredited Drake’s work on the album, claiming that The Weeknd wrote most of it. “Abel Tesfaye CO WROTE on ‘Shot For Me’ and ‘Practice,’ obviously was featured on ‘Crew Love’ and ‘The Ride’ and that’s it. There’s 20 songs on that album … don’t try me,” Drake responded.
January 2019: The Weeknd Seemingly Disses Drake On “Lost In The Fire”
On January 11, 2019, The Weeknd released “Lost in the Fire” a collab track with French DJ Gesaffelstein. The track contains a lyric that sparked debate among listeners soon after its release. “And I just want a baby with the right one / ‘CauseI would never be the one to hide one,” The Weeknd sings. Fans speculated that the line was aimed at Drake who had recently been revealed to have a son.
December 2019: Drake Clears The Air About Beef With The Weeknd
Several months later, Drake seemingly addressed the feud rumors on the track “War.” The song was released on December 24, 2019, and contains lyrics fans were convinced were about The Weeknd. “And the boy that sound like he sang on ‘Thriller,’ / You know that’s been my n***a, yeah / We just had to fix things, family, 6 tings, we can’t split up,” Drizzy raps on the track. Many listeners believed that he was alluding to wanting to leave their feud behind in 2019. “War” seemed, to most fans, as a peace offering from Drake to The Weeknd.
July 2022: Drake Reminisces About The First Time He Heard The Weeknd
On July 8, 2022, Drake shared a series of videos on his Instagram story where he spoke about listening to The Weeknd for the first time. “Okay, look. This right here, this little driveway area right here was the first place that I ever heard The Weeknd’s music. Shoutout to Oliver, of course, my brother. Oliver played me The Weeknd right here. This is my old building in Toronto. We were parked out here. It was raining,” the rapper recalled. “That same guy is selling out the SkyDome tomorrow. That man is selling out the SkyDome tomorrow,” he continued. Many fans were happy to see him celebrate The Weeknd’s win and reminisce on his journey like that.
April 12th, 2024: The Weeknd’s Subtle Shots
On April 12, 2024, Metro Boomin and Future released WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU. The 25-track album is a follow-up project to their earlier release, WE DON’T TRUST YOU. The Weeknd appears on two tracks in the album: the title track, and “All to Myself.” The latter is the song that has sparked debate about whether or not the singer dissed Drake. According to listeners, some of the lines he delivers on the track seem undeniably directed at Drizzy.
“Ooh, look at how we movin’, baby (Movin’, baby) / They could never diss my brothers, baby (Future) / When they got leaks in they operation / I thank God that I never signed my life away / And we never do the big talk (No, no, no, no, no) / They shooters makin’ TikToks /Got us laughin’ in the Lambo (Yeah) / I promise that I got your back,” The Weeknd croons.
Admittedly, The Weeknd did not directly mention Drake on the track. However, it is very hard to ignore the line about signing his life away, considering that Drake tried to sign him to OVO Sound several years ago. So, did The Weeknd diss Drake on this track? Well, we can’t say for certain, but by Drake’s reaction, it sure looks like he did.
April 13th, 2024: Drake Claps Back At The Weeknd On Diss Track
After WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU dropped, Drake supposedly responded to all the disses he’d received with a track of his own. On April 14, 2024, Drizzy’s “Push Ups” was leaked on the internet. On the song, the rapper fired back at everyone who had previously come for him, including The Weeknd. “Claim the 6 and boys ain’t even come from it / And when you boys got rich you had to run from it / Cash blowin’ Abel bread, out here trickin’ / S**t we do for b***hes he doing for n***as,” the rapper spits, even firing at The Weeknd’s manager, Cash XO. In response, The Weeknd shared a photo of himself laughing on a couch with a bowl of popcorn on his life while Cash simply posted a flick of himself with Future and Metro Boomin.
Coi Leray is someone who fans have become obsessed with over the past year or so. Overall, it is mostly because she has completely changed up her look. She is consistently going on Instagram or Twitter showing off these looks, and male fans thirst over her any chance they get. Furthermore, Leray’s career has been taking off thanks to some massive singles and viral TikTok sounds. Needless to say, she has come a long way from the tepid receptions of Rolling Loud crowds of years past.
With her fame comes a lot of men throwing themselves at her. For instance, boxer Adrien Broner was all up in her comments during a recent Instagram Live session. Yesterday, Leray was trying to connect with her fans, when Broner chimed in, asking her to come to his fight. “Be at my next fight in Miami May31st at the Hard Rock on me,” he wrote. It seemed like an attempt at shooting his shot with the artist, but perhaps also an attempt at doing promo for his fight. After all, that is a great way to get people’s attention, even if for negative reasons. As for Leray, she did not appreciate this very much, as she handed down a brutal rejection.

She was obviously not into what Broner was doing at all, and she made that be known. Some people on Twitter made jokes about the situation, with “the worst she can say is no” being the prevailing gag. Either way, more people know about Broner’s upcoming fight now, which is certainly a win for the boxer.

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world, and over the years, he has certainly had his fair share of run-ins with hip-hop media. Overall, it has been a while since he has actually sat down with a hip-hop publication. Instead, he has mostly focused on doing interviews with the likes of Bobbi Althoff and Barstool Sports. However, he is clearly paying attention to the landscape right now, and he is aware of all of the big names. Consequently, he could probably tell you who his favorite personalities are, right off the top of his head.
In fact, the Big Three of hip-hop media has become a discussion point thanks to Adam22. Recently, he said that the Big Three is himself, DJ Vlad, and DJ Akademiks. He even dissed Joe Budden in the process, which led to an interesting reply from the man himself. Since then, Adam has asked Drake to get in on the fun. While speaking on a recent podcast, Adam says Drake told him who his Big Three is, or at least he implied it. Adam suggested his own list, and it led to Drake saying “Nah you got to give it to [Joe Budden] over Vlad.”
While Drizzy might hate Joe Budden, and for obvious reasons, it seems like he still respects him as a podcaster. Apparently, Drake isn’t too fond of Vlad, who is definitely a polarizing figure. Some love him and his interview style, while others have always felt conflicted by it. No matter what, this debate has been pretty interesting to watch play out. For now, however, it seems like Akademiks is through line for everyone who is taking part in the debate. Given his public perception, it is a unique thing to note.
