Donald Trump Hopes To Secure Black & Latino Votes With Hip-Hop & Athlete Endorsements At Massive Madison Square Garden Event

Donald Trump reportedly wants to hold a massive campaign event at Madison Square Garden in New York City featuring Black hip-hop artists and athletes. According to a new report from the Associated Press, the former President of the United States hopes the move can help him earn key votes from Black and Latino Americans that could push him over the edge in this year’s election.

Lynne Patton, a senior adviser on the campaign overseeing coalitions, says the Trump team is laying the groundwork for an expansive outreach toward minority voters. “We are speaking with Black leaders, we are speaking with small-business owners, we’re speaking with famous athletes, hip-hop artists, some of whom I think you’d be surprised if you knew who was talking with us right now,” she said in an interview according to the AP. “These are people who are expressing openness to supporting President Trump both publicly and privately.”

Plenty of artists in hip-hop have voiced support for Donald Trump over the years including Kanye West, Kodak Black, as well as Lil Pump, and more. Former President Barack Obama theorized why some rappers support Trump during an interview with The Atlantic in 2022. At the time, he previously suggested that, for some artists in the genre, “it’s all about the bling, the women, the money. A lot of rap videos are using the same measures of what it means to be successful as Donald Trump is. Everything is gold-plated. That insinuates itself and seeps into the culture.”

Jasmine Harris, who works as Joe Biden’s campaign director of Black media, labeled Trump a “fraud” in response to the report. “Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans proudly admitting that they have no real strategy to reach Black voters because they believe all they need is rap concerts and free chicken is only surprising if you haven’t paid attention to Trump’s fraudulent relationship to Black America for years,” they told the AP. Suge Knight Admits Diddy Allegations Are Bad For Hip-Hop: “It Makes Us All Look Bad”

Suge Knight says he was disappointed when he learned of the allegations against his long-time rival, Diddy. Speaking with Harvey Levin for TMZ’s new The Downfall of Diddy special on Tubi, the co-founder of Death Row Records explained why he wasn’t celebrating when he learned of the lawsuits Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr., Cassie, and more filed against the Bad Boy mogul.

“My first reaction, it’s not the reaction I thought I would have when it came to Puffy,” Knight said, as noted by Complex. “I thought it’d be a reaction like he got what he got coming because everybody know what’s been going on. My reaction was actually different because I felt like, damn. The first thing that came to my mind was he has his sons, he has his daughters. My reaction was first about the kids. The thing is, I feel it’s a bad day for hip-hop, a bad day for the culture. Because it makes us all look bad.”

When Harvey Levin appeared surprised about Knight’s reaction, he explained he doesn’t enjoy watching his enemies’ downfall. “I’m not the type of guy to cheer for people’s downfall,” he added. “If somebody gets killed or something happens to them, I’m not gonna pop champagne bottles. If I have a problem with Puffy, that’s for him and I to sit down in a room and resolve it. Lil Nas X and Baby Storme went at it on Twitter, over the weekend, regarding the inspiration for one of Nas’ recent looks. Storme, who previously has claimed to be an ex-best friend of Ice Spice, says Nas copied her “identity” during his Christian era. She also recalled him being “the first major celebrity to discover me.”

“Lil Nas X i’m not even gonna address you,” Baby Storme wrote on Twitter. “Another clown ass barb who tried to steal my identity. he stole my TCIAG look that i INVENTED & then used it to launch his new era, ‘J Christ.’ but he doesn’t walk in light. which is why you can never be me. Nas eventually caught wind of the accusations and fired back in a post of his own. “I am flattered that you think my outfit was genuinely inspired by your party city monster high dress. Log off the internet and have your psychotic breakdown without an audience like the rest of us baby girl,” he wrote. From there, Storme admitted she only called out Nas to get attention from his fanbase. “I already knew Lil Nas X would be the one celebrity to respond,” she wrote. “I baited him. New York multi-hyphenate A Boogie Wit da Hoodie is in the midst of an exciting 2024. The hitmaker has been dropping a lot of new music lately, including a four-track EP ALONE that saw him go in his R&B bag. It was a taster for his upcoming full-length project Better Off Alone, his first LP since 2022’s Me vs. Myself. The supposed album with a mix of rap & R&B will be out on May 17, but the Artist is already on tour as we speak. It is a massive expedition, as the 28-year-old MC started out in New Zealand and Australia, he will head to North America after the album drops, and he is currently wrapping up shows in the UK and Europe.

Last night (April 28), A Boogie wanted to wind down with a chill evening in Paris at a local nightclub. He had performed earlier that same day at Zenith Arena. However, the night out turned sour after a pretty intense altercation with the club’s bouncers. According to the video obtained by AllHipHop, the two-minute clip was taken by a witness of the heated altercation and uploaded to TikTok. A Boogie is seen drinking alcohol straight from the bottle while walking up with his entourage trying to gain entry to the club. But his boys were already having issues of their own getting in. So, the rapper says, “we out,” and walks back to chauffer.

One of the bouncers grabs a pole, another one sprays one of Boogie’s friends with something (pepper spray?), and a lot of pushing ensues. After Boogie was separated far away from the madness, he breaks the bottle he was originally holding and begins using it as a weapon. Drake & 21 Savage’s “Jimmy Cooks” Cited In Chicago’s Lawsuit Against Glock

The city of Chicago referenced both Drake and Lil Zay Osama in its 41-page complaint against gun manufacturer Glock. The lawsuit accuses the company of violating the Illinois Firearms Industry Responsibility Act by allowing their firearms to be altered into illegal machine guns. The law, which passed last year, allows gun manufacturers to be held accountable for public harm caused by action or inaction from their unsafe and unlawful sales and marketing practices.

The city mentions a cultural embedding of such firearms by referencing Drake and 21 Savage’s “Jimmy Cooks.” In the song, 21 raps: “This Glock .45 came with a switch / If I was Will Smith, I would’ve slapped him with a stick / Put your hands in the air, it’s a stick-up.”

“While Chicago has long struggled with an epidemic of gun violence, it is unquestionable that the ease of modification of Glocks and the resulting prevalence of Modified Glocks have made the situation worse,” the city said in its lawsuit. It also argues: “Glock also knows it could fix the problem, but has chosen not to, putting profits over public safety and violating the law.” The filing also claims that Chicago police recovered over 1,100 modified Glocks between 2021 and 2023. Chicago Deputy Mayor of Community Safety Garien Gatewood said, according to the Washington Post: “We have been a punching bag nationally on violence. It’s important that people understand that we’re dealing with mass shootings at a level not seen anywhere else in the country.”

Kanye West Makes Nice With Kai Cenat By Sending Him Yeezy Pants That Actually Fit

Kanye West and Kai Cenat had been in a bit of a feud recently. Overall, it all centered around Ye’s Yeezy clothing and the pair of pants Cenat received on stream a few months ago. Although he got the pants he wanted, they did not fit particularly well. Instead, Cenat was unable to wear them, and he could not help but roast Kanye for it. West subsequently sent Cenat a DM where he made the claim that Cenat was being paid off by Adidas to say bad things about his clothing.

Recently, while speaking to Justin Laboy, Ye straight up said that Cenat was some sort of industry plant. Cenat did not take too kindly to these comments, and he gave Ye a piece of his mind. Now, it seems as though the two have officially let bygones be bygones. In the video down below, you can see that Cenat was gifted a brand-new pair of Yeezy pants. In fact, the pants actually fit him quite well. Throughout the clip, Cenat showed gratitude towards Ye. Clearly, he was actually happy with the pants and how they ultimately came together.

This was a very obvious peace offering from Ye, who was not making himself look very good by calling Cenat an industry plant. Kanye has been known to be impulsive and a bit defensive, so you can’t blame him too much for all of this. Having said that, we are glad to see that the two are on their way to being on good terms.

At a recent Quavo concert, it appeared as though the crowd might as well have been empty. This subsequently led to people believing that Chris Brown had bought out the tickets so that no one could actually attend. From there, people would see the images of Quavo’s concert, and assume that he had fallen off. It is a pretty interesting move, that does nothing but put money in Quavo’s pockets. Consequently, not everyone is convinced that this is what is happening. However, Fif couldn’t help but give his take on all of this.

“Oh this shit getting different,” 50 said. Overall, the legendary artist seems to be very amused by all of this, and it is easy to see why. Ne-Yo’s Ex Accuses Him Of Assault & Child Neglect: Breaking Down Her Accusations

R&B royalty Ne-Yo is currently in the eye of a storm of controversy after being hit with some damning allegations by an ex. On April 25, 2024, Sade Bagnerise, one of Ne-Yo’s exes and baby mothers, took to Instagram to get some things off her chest, alleging both physical abuse and child neglect. The video of their exchange has gone viral on social media and Bagnerise has since apologized. While fans wait to see if Ne-Yo will publicly address this, here’s what his ex accused him of.

The verbal dispute between Ne-Yo and his ex went down during a livestream on Bagnerise’s Instagram account. During their argument, Bagnerise accused Ne-Yo of physically assaulting her, even calling him “Diddy Jr.” “Diddy Jr., tell them about the freak-off,” she says as the video begins. “You know what you did. You body-slammed me on the floor… Tell them the real you and why we’re here today,” Bagnerise continues. Throughout the ordeal, Ne-Yo can be heard responding to the accusations. However, most of what he says goes unheard as Bagnerise is louder. Nevertheless, it is pretty clear that, at some point, he threatens to call the police on her because of “the commotion.”

Later in the video, Sade takes a shot at Ne-Yo for allegedly neglecting the two kids they share. “He wants ho*s over the house while his kids is here. You f**king like to have ho*s, drugs and weed, alcohol, mushrooms, and prostitutes in the house while your kids are here,” she said. For the most part, Ne-Yo tried to ignore her by gaming, but that proved unsuccessful as she pressed him further.

“Everyone has asked him to stop, but he will not listen to nobody,” she continued. “This is what’s going on, this is the tea. While the b*tches in the house, I asked him not to bring no b*tches in the house. I even came over here to help him with these f**king kids because he won’t watch these kids.” Later in the video, she’s heard saying, “He don’t care about these kids. All he care about is doing drugs, drinking alcohol, and f*cking these ho*s.”

Several hours after Ne-Yo was dragged by his ex on Instagram Live, Bagnerise apologized for her actions. In a series of posts on her Instagram story, she stated that her emotions were high. “Full moon was out, cycle on, postpartum built with frustration and a lot of underlining issues that we needed to be addressed. Trying to do that with the problem present made heightened emotions. I’m human. I hurt too. & i want the best for everyone. That’s all I was fussing for. Nothing more,” she wrote. Tagging Ne-Yo, she wrote, “Sorry for how I communicated my frustration with you. Let’s do better.”

Kanye West Battery Investigation Gets Key Update

Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori found themselves in a bizarre situation a few weeks back. Overall, it all started with a TMZ report that Ye had punched a man in the face in Los Angeles. This subsequently sparked an investigation into the legendary artist. However, it was then stated that one of the men sexually assaulted Censori, which is what sparked Ye’s violent outburst. Of course, this shifted the public perception of the incident, and fans were largely on Ye’s side.

Since the incident, new details have surfaced, with the Twins at the center of this being identified as the Houston twins. Furthermore, witnesses claim that they never actually saw the Houston twins interact with Censori in a sexual way. This has led to a bit of confusion as to what truly went down here. What’s more, TMZ is now reporting that both sides have become uncooperative. The Houston twins won’t speak with the LAPD, and neither will Kanye. This has led to some speculation that the two parties are having conversations with one another as a means to resolve this.

Coi Leray Theorizes Labels Are Behind Female Hip-Hop Beefs

Coi Leray says she thinks music labels are running fan pages that instigate drama between female hip-hop artists on social media. She explained on Twitter that she can’t understand why else so many artists would be feuding, despite not even being from the same region. Leray also asked whether it’s the same for artists in other genres.

“Idk if you ask me it seem like these labels are behind the female controversy. They see it helps push the music, I wouldn’t be surprised if they the ones behind the fan pages,” she wrote in one post. “Most of these female rappers not even from the same places !!!! Not from the same hoods….why are we beefing?” From there, Leray asked: “Do female pop stars have just as much beef as the female rappers?” When one fan put forth the idea of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga beefing, Leray responded: “I can’t. I just can’t.”

Despite the innumerable amount of feuds going on in hip-hop right now, Leray recently told Forbes that she’s focused on becoming the best version of herself she can be. “I have great intentions,” she told the outlet in March. “And I know that at the end of the day, if I just pushed myself to focus on becoming a better me whether it’s in my tone, my delivery, my attitude, my routine of waking up in the morning, waking up earlier, going to church every Sunday, writing in my journal, that’s how I got to this place now.”
