Coi Leray Resolved Nicki Minaj Beef In Private, She Claims

Coi Leray and Nicki Minaj are former collaborators who, at one point in their careers, experienced a little bit of tension. Moreover, fans brought up this alleged history again when the former started to speak on the allegedly fabricated nature of female rap beefs pushed by record labels. “Most of these female rappers not even from the same places !!!! Not from the same hoods….why are we beefing?” she wrote on Twitter. “Most of them like you, do it to get Nicki minaj support and then when she turns on you.. you don’t have any support from any fan base,” a user replied.

“Yall so stupid,” Coi Leray claimed concerning the alleged Nicki Minaj beef. “Me and Nicki spoke behind the scenes, personally, and I never brought that to the public. Business ain’t work out, that’s okay. I still wish her nothing but the best and blick blick is one of the greatest videos that will be in history.” In the comments section of the post below, you will see fans claim that tensions between them rose when Nicki released “We Go Up” with Fivio Foreign, which Coi allegedly thought was an attempt to sabotage her after releasing their collaboration, “Blick Blick.”

Of course, the nature of this is pretty muddy and speculative, and it became corny to tie every little thing in femcee beef back to Nicki Minaj a long time ago. Also, the alleged issues with Coi Leray, or rather vice versa, weren’t really super well-documented or backed up by any significant evidence or even supposed shade. The closest confirmation that we got to anything concrete was Nicki’s confirmation that she almost canceled the collab when Benzino, Coi’s father, spoiled it early. But they cleared out all their issues privately, and it left fans with some more questions.

Meanwhile, the “Can’t Come Back” creative will likely continue to draw these connections in the femcee world. She’s been very outspoken on how she’s fallen victim to these alleged label games and how she wants to promote more female unity moving forward. Maybe Coi Leray and Nicki Minaj will collaborate again sometime in the future, and expand their list of team-ups with other female rappers. Only time will tell, but we can all agree on shedding past mistakes to foster more important goals.

Kendrick Lamar has been on the clock for a while now. Ever since “Push Ups,” fans have been waiting on for Kendrick’s reply to Drake. Well, today, he just gave his response. The song “Euphoria” has just made its way to the internet, and fans cannot believe it is finally here. Overall, the track is extremely scathing, and it seems as though Drake may have made a mistake by engaging in the war. Lamar came through with a six-minute song, and there are too many bars to break it down in just one article.

However, if you want to listen to this new song, you can do so down below. The track takes aim at Drake for being a “scam artist.” Furthermore, it even addresses Drizzy for ducking the smoke with Pusha T. From there, Kendrick goes into some scathing bars about how Drake dresses, talks, and even acts. At one point, there is even a bar directed at none other than Sexyy Red. It is a whole lyrical assault that is certainly going to make waves on social media.

Fans have wanted this response for a while now, and they officially have it. Whether or not fans are going to like it, still remains to be seen. There is still quite a bit to digest here. The 2024 Tony Awards are set to go down on June 16, at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York City. Before then, though, organizers have unveiled the list of nominees today (April 31), and the music world (the part of it not traditionally or primarily associated with musicals, specifically) is well represented.

Nominated for Best Musical are Alicia Keys’ Hell’s Kitchen and the Sufjan Stevens-inspired Illinoise, along with The Outsiders, Suffs, and Water For Elephants. The Who’s Tommy is also nominated for Best Revival Of A Musical.

Maleah Joi Moon is nominated for Best Performance By A Leading Actress In A Musical for her role in Hell’s Kitchen, while Brandon Victor Dixon is up for Best Performance By An Actor In A Featured Role In A Musical also for Hell’s Kitchen. The musical also spawned Best Performance By An Actress In A Featured Role In A Musical nominations for Shoshana Bean and Kecia Lewis, and a Best Book Of A Musical nod for Kristtoffer Diaz.

Stereophonic, which has music by Will Butler, is also well-represented, including consideration for Best Play and Best Original Score. David Byrne and Fatboy Slim’s Here Lies Love is also nominated in the latter category.

As People notes, musicals that didn’t get a nomination this year include Barry Manilow’s Harmony, the Britney Spears-inspired Once Upon A One More Time, and Huey Lewis’ The Heart Of Rock And Roll.

The Game Defends Justin Bieber For Crying On IG: “He’s Human”

The Game came to Justin Bieber’s defense after the singer shared a candid picture of himself crying on Instagram over the weekend. In a comment on the post, Game explained that, at the end of the day, Bieber is still “human,” and emotions can be uncontrollable. While many users online were supportive in response to the teary-eyed selfies, others shared jokes at his expense.

“He’s human,” Game wrote, as caught by AllHipHop. “Rich or not, man or woman… he’s a person. People go through things. These things sometimes trigger uncontrollable emotions. Allow him & others to be vulnerable no matter the state. What’s funny is the folks in the comments acting like they don’t have bad days, moments or sh*t don’t get thick. Weird world.”

His wife, Hailey Bieber, also commented on the picture, simply remarking that he’s a “pretty crier.” Other fans wanted to know what could bring Justin to tears. “Plzz tell me why were u crying.. I’m dyyyiiinnggg to know !!” one user wrote. Another was supportive of his emotional expression: “I love that you’re not afraid to show your vulnerability and emotions. Drake Dethroned By Taylor Swift With Massive Album Streaming Record

Taylor Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department, fulfilled the prophecy set out by Drake on his last Kendrick Lamar diss, “Taylor Made Freestyle.” “Yeah, shout out to Taylor Swift, biggest gangster in the music game right now,” he expressed on that cut. “You know, I moved my album when she dropped, I said that already. You know, she ’bout to milli’ run through a Milly Rock on your head top, well… She got the whole pgLang on mute like that Beyoncé challenge. Y’all boys quiet for the weekend.” As such, we assume it came as no surprise to Drizzy when he heard the news that the Pennsylvania superstar broke one of his biggest records.

Moreover, The Tortured Poets Department had the biggest ever streaming week for an album in the U.S. with 891 million first week streams, a record previously held by Drake’s Scorpion in 2018 with 746 million. Taylor Swift’s latest obviously debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with a staggering 2.61 million album-equivalent units sold, and this places the two in yet another tug of war when it comes to commercial records. What’s more is that this wasn’t the only notable hip-hop crossover record-breaker, as she and Jay-Z are now tied for the most chart-topping albums by a solo artist with 14 each. The only artists that have more of these are The Beatles with 19 No. 1 projects.

Of course, this is all pretty ironic but very much unsurprising given how Drake roped Taylor Swift into his Kendrick Lamar beef, something that we don’t even know if she cares about or not. Elsewhere, though, he had other big things to celebrate when it comes to his discography. The Toronto creative recently commemorated Views‘ eighth anniversary, an album that took him to the next commercial level and that has kept his foot on that gas pedal ever since. With standouts like “Weston Road Flows,” “Still Here,” “Redemption,” “Feel No Ways,” and more, it’s no wonder some OVO fans hold it in such high regard.

Meanwhile, Drizzy is daring to do what other artists won’t by talking about Taylor Swift so openly. After all, MGK recently avoided answering a question about her because he didn’t want any “smoke” with Swifties. We’ll see whether the fanbase or their fav ever takes a strong stance on Drake’s Kendrick Lamar beef. Talk about bad blood…

The Honda Battle Of The Bands Will Invite HBCU Marching Bands To Los Angeles For Its First-Ever West Coast Showcase

For the last 20 years, the Honda Battle Of The Bands (HBOB), an invitational showcase that spotlight some of the best HBCU marching bands across the country, made its home on the East Coast. Annual showcases from its launch in 2003 to 2020 (except for a one-year hiatus in 2019) were held in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. After a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the HBOB returned in 2023 and Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama was selected as the first HBCU to host the invitational. Another break came in 2024, but now the HBOB is back as they confirmed a showcase will take place in 2025. Here’s the twist: They’re going west for the first time ever.

The HBOB will take over SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Saturday, February 1, 2025 for the 19th showcase in its history. Six bands will receive the honor of participating in the invitational for its West Coast debut. The bands for the showcase will be selected through a voting process that includes HBOB fans, HBCU band directors and students, and Honda representatives. Voting begins on July 15 and fans can cast their vote on the HBOB website. Tickets for HBOB 2025 go on sale on May 15 on the HBOB website.

“Honda continues its commitment to powering the dreams and success of HBCU students by providing experiences and opportunities like Honda Battle of the Bands,” said Yvette Hunsicker, vice president of Corporate Social Responsibility and Inclusion & Diversity at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “Bringing Honda Battle of the Bands to California will provide a platform for these young musicians while expanding awareness of the rich legacy of HBCU schools.”

Ahead of HBOB 2025, Honda showed its commitment to HBCU music education with a $50,000 grant to Thurgood Marshall College Fund. The grant is dedicated to “awarding scholarships that will power the academic ambitions of HBCU student-musicians across the country,” according to a Honda press release. Mary J. Blige Is ‘Definitely’ Aiming To Retire From Music Soon And She Gave An Approximate Timeline

At the moment, it looks like we may be in the final years of Mary J. Blige’s music career, and this is coming from Blige herself.

In an interview with Extra, Blige said, “Right now, I’m definitely gonna do some more acting and I’m definitely gonna retire in, like, five or six years.”

She also noted, “Right now, I’m still doing what I’m doing but not as often as I was doing it because I don’t have to now.” As for what she’s singing about these days, she said, “Mary is singing about life. Life… love… being stable and understanding you can have things like love. You can have a good life.”

Blige has remained relatively active in recent years: Her latest album is 2022’s Good Morning Gorgeous, which followed 2017’s Strength Of A Woman. Notably, she was part of the all-star 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance that also included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar.

It was also just announced that she’ll be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as part of the 2024 class. After the news was announced, she wrote on Instagram, “Beyond Grateful!!!!!! Chris Brown Tells Funny Story That Some Fans Think Is About Kanye West

Chris Brown is quite the hilarious and engaging storyteller, as he recently proved on his R&B Money podcast appearance. For a segment about offering a funny anecdote without naming any names, he spoke on an artist who went clubbing with him one night with a lot of women to see another artist perform. Eventually, the former unnamed celebrity took the stage and went on a 45-minute rant, which Breezy says completely killed his vibe and turned the venue into “the waiting room in hell.” There was even an clap-back from the artist about Amber Rose and fingers in their… you know. As such, a lot of people think that the R&B star was talking about his “BEG FORGIVENESS” collaborator, Kanye West.

Furthermore, the clip below shows some footage of the club night that Chris Brown is allegedly referring to, specifically the Amber Rose part of the rant. However, perhaps we’ll never really know for sure whether Kanye West was really the subject of his story, although it seems way too coincidental to interpret it any other way. Regardless, either the Virginia native just has really bad luck with going to the club with Rose’s exes or he forgot that there was readily available footage of this online. It’s also ironic because Ye praised Chris during his latest interview on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast.

“Chris is a god,” Kanye West said of Chris Brown, arguing that great artists like him are marred by “middle men” and find it harder to find massive success. Still, this is all a bit bizarre considering that the two artists have been at odds with each other in the past, such as the debacle about removing Brown from Donda post-release. It seems like right now, it’s all water under the bridge, considering their VULTURES 1 collaboration. But who knows if Ye catches wind of this interview clip and feels some type of way about it?

Meanwhile, the “Run It” multi-hyphenate is supposedly still involved in his Quavo beef, as fans accused him of buying a huge chunk of his latest show’s tickets so that very few people would show up. He hasn’t spoken on it at press time, though, so it’s just a fan theory. But if Chris Brown ever does, we’re sure that it would be quite the amusing story from his perspective. Maybe he’ll have to do so without mentioning the former Migo’s name, just like this alleged Kanye West tale.

Sukihana Claims She Only Sells Sex During Expletive-Filled Rant

Sukihana found herself in a pretty bad situation last week while out in Florida. Overall, the reality star and artist was arrested on a few drug charges, including possession of hard drugs and intent to sell. These allegations are ultimately extremely serious. However, Sukihana hasn’t been too pressed about all of this. In fact, she recently launched a merch line of sorts with her mugshot on it. This is a common move these days, however, you can’t blame Suki for wanting to capitalize on what is mostly a negative situation.

That said, it does seem as though the chatter surrounding this arrest is starting to upset her. With the allegations in place, some are speculating that she is some sort of drug trafficker. Moreover, some have tried to say that she was taking the fall for a man she is dealing with. This subsequently led to a passionate rant over on Instagram Live, where she said that she is not, a drug dealer, despite what some people are trying to say.

Kendrick Lamar Becomes First Rapper To Reach This Unbelievable Milestone

Kendrick Lamar is one of the most successful artists of all time. Overall, he is someone who doesn’t try to make commercial records. Instead, he is known for his pen, and his incredible ability to craft stories and make you think deeply about yourself and the world around you. Somehow, Lamar has been able to accrue commercial success with this approach, which is a special ability to have. His most successful album from a commercial standpoint has been Good Kid, M.A.A.D City which released back in 2012. This album was snubbed from a Grammy, but has forever lived in infamy.

In the eyes of many, this album is Lamar’s magnum opus. There are a plethora of hit songs throughout the tracklist. However, they all tell deep stories about Lamar’s life growing up in Compton. It just goes to show that Kendrick is a talented artist who can pretty much do anything he wants with his art. In fact, just yesterday, the album hit a new milestone that is certainly going to stun some of you. As it turns out, the album has been on the Billboard Hot 200 chart for 600 weeks. This adds up to about 11 and a half years.

Kendrick Lamar Continues To Win

It’s hard to believe this album is over a decade old at this point. It feels like it came out just yesterday, although this speaks to the timeless nature of the project. This album will likely remain on the charts for years to come, and for good reason. Hopefully, Kendrick gives us something new, very soon. After all, he is in a feud with Drake, and fans want that response, pronto.
