DJ Akademiks Points Out Foolio Fans Predicting His Death Under Pre-Shooting Instagram Post

Foolio’s tragic shooting at his birthday party in Tampa, Florida over the weekend shocked and saddened many fans, although some of them already had their reservations. Moreover, a lot of folks issued warnings and predicted that some extra caution would be necessary when he shared the address to his celebratory events on social media. In fact, DJ Akademiks recently went back to the rapper’s social media post showing the address and looked at comments from fans predicting that something horrible would happen. Of course, even the most skeptical and cold-blooded of spectators probably couldn’t have really predicted that we and the Florida native’s loved ones would face this loss.

Furthermore, Asian Doll recently caught flack for making light of Foolio’s death, as she tweeted and deleted a cigarette emoji after his passing. They had a lot of issues in the past, especially over Doll’s reaction to her then-boyfriend King Von’s shooting. Overall, it was a pretty nasty and distasteful situation either way, and the propagation of it didn’t make things any less nasty. Hopefully we see less responses like this in the public eye, and detractors and enemies respect those mourning the loss regardless of what their feelings might indicate.

DJ Akademiks Revisits Foolio’s Instagram Posts

Sadly, this triumphant reaction to Foolio’s death has been a big part of the social media discussion around it, led primarily by rap rival Yungeen Ace. He elicited some disturbed and flabbergasted reactions from fans after he dropped a diss track against him following his death, which many found to be in the poorest taste. Not only that, but Ace even insinuated that he ordered this, although that’s probably more of a result of rap beef boasting than actual criminal involvement. Either way, it’s not a pretty look to witness.

Meanwhile, new footage of the attack’s aftermath is also causing a lot of Internet debate and conversation. It’s a difficult event to witness, especially as conversations range more around how Foolio lived and not about how the hip-hop community can advocate against this violence. Regardless, folks will probably continue to discuss this tragedy in the coming days, and new information might surface as well. Hopefully any further developments are far more positive than what we’ve experienced.

Destroy Lonely has fired back at his ex-girlfriend’s claims of domestic abuse with a lengthy rant on X (formerly Twitter) that he’s since scrubbed from the platform. When the woman came forward with alleged pictures of her injuries and numerous stories of his behavior, he posted several responses.

In the series of posts caught by No Jumper, Lonely described her apparent injuries as “fake” and accused her of being violent towards him. He wrote at one point: “Everybody who know me in real life knows this aint facts or me im not proving myself to the internet or no woman.”

The woman began posting about Lonely on Monday morning. “Cry baby ass n***a. Mad over Lucki you verbally abused me for an entire 21 hr flight to Germany and when I finally snapped and hit you choked me and and then called my mom to play victim,” she began in one post. In another, she shared bloody pictures of her head with the caption: “Cracked my head open in Germany after pushing me into a bed frame and then threw all my sh*t in the hallway ….. all because i was tired and didn’t want to get up at that exact second to roll a blunt.” From there, she posted several more stories of alleged abusive incidents.

In one post, the woman recalled putting on a nice outfit for Lonely’s birthday celebrations with Playboi Carti. “On HIS birthday last I wore a white dress for HIM,” he claimed. “He loved it. Then the second we get around carti he go tell me I embarrass him Im wore that dress so carti could see my p*ssy then called me a wh*re about it for months. Saweetie may be hot off the presses of her new single “NANi,” but the fiery track isn’t enough to distract some rowdy fans at her shows. Moreover, she recently performed at the Vegandale festival, and footage emerged of the crowd storming away from the stage after a fight broke out. In fact, you can hear the Icy Girl provide her best efforts to calm folks down and check in with the rest to make sure that they’re safe, but it seems like things escalated far too quickly for her to mitigate the situation. It’s unclear whether her set continued or if this resulted in an early cut.

Furthermore, this is far from the toughest circumstances that Saweetie’s had to face in her career, as she recently spoke on her difficult come-up before the fame. Fortunately, it seems like this has been a pretty fruitful year so far in this career, with fresh new singles and a whole lot of social media hype. At press time, she still hasn’t responded to this Vegandale incident, but we also don’t know how clear she or her team is on the matter to be able to respond. It all seems pretty complicated, but she’s not breaking a sweat over it.

Meanwhile, Saweetie’s most recent interview held more interesting insights into her mentality, trajectory, and next moves. Hopefully future performances don’t fall victim to combative folks in the crowd again, but it’s obviously hard to arrange for this. After all, she and her team are just one part of the multi-faceted organism that is live music. But props are in order for trying to keep things civil and fun.

It’s been 25 years since Lauryn Hill turned the music world on its ear with her solo debut album, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, and to celebrate the anniversary, Ms. Hill has announced a new run of tour dates in conjunction with her fellow Fugees, along with her son, YG Marley, as opening act. Hill announced the new run of tour dates after previously postponing her 20th anniversary tour due to health issues.

DJ Akademiks Claims Kendrick Lamar’s Camp Told Him About Stream Botters

A lot of ink, stream time, and podcasting hours have been dedicated to stream botting accusations against both Kendrick Lamar and Drake amid their beef and diss track exchanges. Moreover, DJ Akademiks is one of the main people pushing this narrative against the Compton lyricist, although he stands by his sources. In fact, he recently claimed that K.Dot’s own camp was the one who came forward with these accusations, or at least, that Ak found this connection through that group. Of course, this is all highly speculative and largely unconfirmed in a truly verifiable manner, but there are deeper things to address.

For one, no accusations of stream botting can be attributed directly to Kendrick Lamar or Drake at press time. It’s the Internet: pretty much every engagement opportunity will fall victim to at least some fake streams or overzealous Twitter bots. But it’s impossible to pin these on either artist, and the more likely scenario is that this is the result of obsessive fans trying to send their GOAT to the top. Whether or not we ever get a final word on this debate, it’s clear that it’s an un-winnable battle either way.

DJ Akademiks Speaks On Kendrick Lamar Stream Bot Accusations

Furthermore, a lot of folks think that the battle is already over no matter what, and don’t really care about stream bots either way. After all, Kendrick Lamar will drop his “Not Like Us” music video soon, and Drake will deliver a few summer bops on Camila Cabello’s upcoming album. Both MCs will likely move on to their next endeavors after this while fans continue to debate and fight. But the warring Stanbases are fighting for their own dignity, pride, and credibility, and are no longer fighting for their leaders.

Meanwhile, these next moves from two of “The Big Three” should be very exciting nonetheless, and we’re ready to speak on them outside of the beef’s context. Kendrick Lamar and Drake are two generational titans that, stream bots or not, would still be making massive numbers with their releases. What remains is whether or not either artist will dare to speak on these or other allegations at some point. That might be the only way in which we can all finally shut up about this kerfuffle once and for all.

Cardi B sparked pregnancy rumors on social media after rocking an oversized black blazer and floor-length sheer skirt to Hollywood Unlocked’s annual Impact Awards ceremony on Friday night. She was present at the event to accept the “Inspiration” accolade, at which time, she gave an impassioned speech to not only thank Jason Lee for the honor but to call out her haters as well.

Afterward, users on X (formerly Twitter) began theorizing that she’s expecting another child with Offset. “Cardi b is currently roughly 5 months pregnant,” one fan wrote, as caught by Bossip. “She won’t drop the album in the next two months because she will be full blown pregnant and can’t tour. She will drop the album in 4 months right before she deliver then go on tour 2 months post partum.” Another added: “Cardi is so annoying wtf are you doing pregnant when cheating allegations were just a few months ago stop pissing me awfffffffff.”

In short and blunt fashion, Rubi Rose was asked what her favorite love song was, given they were in the aforementioned city.

“Um, f*** love“, she told the interviewer. However, she was not referring to the song by XXXTENTACION. Instead, she was sharing how she has seemingly been feeling lately. Camila Cabello Debuts One Of The Two Drake Collaborations From Her Upcoming Album Live

We’re now just days away from the release of Camila Cabello’s upcoming album, C, XOXO. It’s set to drop this Friday, but before that, Cabello has unleashed a preview of “Uuugly,” which is one of two Drake collaborations on the album.

Cabello performed at Rock In Rio Lisboa yesterday (June 23), where she played the interlude track between songs (while bikers did tricks on stage, no less). It’s a brief, atmospheric tune that sees Drake delivering smooth sung vocals.

In a May interview, Cabello talked about working with Drake, saying, “He’s the f*cking GOAT, so it felt like shooting for the stars. I showed him the album when I felt comfortable enough and he really liked it. [The feature] came out of a non-transactional place. He had this idea of a song called ‘Hot Uptown,’ and it just felt like I was in the city. I was in Miami.”

She also spoke about “Uuugly,” saying, “Why does he have his own song? Because selfishly, I just want to hear Drake on my own album [laughs]. I love that for me — it’s like that rebellious mood. Who says I can’t do that? It’s Drake talking his sh*t.”

Latto’s Rumored Album Title May Have Been Inspired By Ice Spice And Naturally, Fans Are Losing Their Cool About It

Oy vey. Just when you thought Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert in LA finally brought the fractious energy of early 2024 to its natural conclusion, another one of the many, many examples of rap beef this year resurfaced over the weekend to potentially keep the bad vibes rolling into the summer.

According to fans attending Latto’s Birthday Bash concert in Atlanta, the “Big Energy” rapper teased the title of her next album during the show. It’s supposedly called Sugar Honey Iced Tea, and here’s why fans think it has to do with Ice Spice and her beef with Latto. Latto later seemingly confirmed that she does have something by that name “OTW” and with a CD emoji attached, it does appear to be an album.

Obviously, the phrase “sugar honey iced tea” has long been used as an acronym for a certain bad word referring to poop. This is significant here because Ice Spice’s most successful Y2K! single this year so far has been “Think U The Sh*t (Fart),” which the Bronx native admitted is a diss song about Latto. While Latto already addressed Ice Spice with her own combative single, “Sunday Service,” fans have interpreted Latto’s album title as a direct response to Ice’s accusation, acknowledging that yes, she does think she is “the sh*t.”
