Earlier this month, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz released their highly anticipated collab album Welcome 2 Collegrove. The project saw the pair officially collaborating on an album together for the first time and they delivered 21 tracks and nearly an entire hour of material. The project is also sporting some impressive features with 21 Savage, Usher, Benny The Butcher, Fabolous, Vory, Rick Ross, and Marsha Ambrosius all appearing.
Last week, the duo released the visual for one of those high-profile collaborations. They shared the music video for “Transparency” with Usher which has racked up more than 600k views in just a few days. But now they’re back with yet another video for a high-profile collaboration from the project. This time it’s the song “Oprah & Gayle” which features an appearance from Griselda rapper Benny The Butcher. In the stark black and white video the trio each take viewers through their unique worlds. Check out the entire new music video below.
Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Benny The Butcher Drop New Video
Welcome 2 ColleGrove is off to a strong start with all of its tracks racking up hundreds of thousands of streams. Some of the singles are already reaching into the millions with “Presha” in particular sitting at over 7 million streams on Spotify. Songs like “Big Diamonds” with 21 Savage and “Transparency” with Usher have also crossed the million stream mark since the album dropped earlier this month.
The extent of collaborators recruited for the album even goes beyond the artists it features. The pair recruited 50 Cent for a memorable performance as the narrator in a trailer for the album that dropped in the lead-up to the project’s release. 50 also made waves earlier this year after he collaborated with Nas for the first time in two decades on a track from his album Magic 2. What do you think of 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s new music video? Who do you think has the best verse of the three artists on the song? Let us know in the comment section below.
Ty Dolla Sign recently hopped on social media to tease something new he appears to have on the way. He shared a simple Tweet consisting of a few video camera emojis. This has led fans to believe that there’s a music video on the way for his new collab, “Vultures.”Kanye West dropped the song earlier this week, which aside from Ty Dolla Sign, also features Lil Durk and Bump J.
The premiere took place ahead of his joint album with Kanye West, which listeners have yet to hear an official release date for. Reportedly, Ye’s been spending most of his time in Saudia Arabia as of late perfecting the LP, along with his upcoming solo album. Fans expected to get their hands on the collaborative LP earlier this month at previously announced stadium listening events, however, the events were called off. This led to some speculation that the album wouldn’t drop at all, however, Ty appeared to shut down those rumors last week.
“I just landed on a flight from Saudi Arabia,” he told his crowd. “I’ve been out there recording a part of my album with my brother Ye. And that’s coming real soon.” Fans were eager to hear “Vultures” upon its release, as it’s the first music they’ve gotten from Ye in quite a while. As expected, the song features some controversial lyrics, some of which reference the backlash he’s received for his antisemitic comments. “How am I antisemitic? I just f**ked a Jewish b**ch,” he wonders in one line. Either way, fans are more curious than ever to hear what else Ty Dolla Sign and Kanye West have been cooking up.
What do you think Ty Dolla Sign meant by his Tweet? Do you think he was hinting that a “Vultures” visual is coming soon? How are you liking the track so far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
Suge Knight and 2pac have both found themselves back in the headlines recently for very different reasons. In Tupac’s case, it’s because of the arrest of Keefe D for the rapper’s notorious murder. After frequently discussing his role in the case in various interviews, Keefe was finally arrested by Las Vegas police for his involvement in the rapper’s death almost 30 years ago.
In Suge Knight’s case, his newfound attention has been entirely on purpose. He recently started a new podcast called Collect Call With Suge Knight. Even though there’s only been two episodes so far they’ve both come with tons of fascinating revelations. In the first episode Suge refuted Warren G’s story that he played a role in freeing Pac from prison. In fact, he went even further to say that the two never liked each other in the first place. In the second episode he revealed the identity of a mystery woman who actually did play a major role in connecting Pac and Suge while the rapper was in prison. But now it’s somebody else entirely making revelations about the two.
2pac And Suge Knight Fighting Over $700k Movie Check
Earlier this week Gobi M. Rahimi, a music video that 2pac worked with numerous times, sat down with The Art Of Dialogue. He used the opportunity to refute Suge Knight and 2pac being as close as they seem. “A lot of people have said they were like brothers or whatever. I only got to see the experiences of him yelling and screaming either at Suge or Death Row employees trying to find out where he money was,” he began.
Rahimi even has a specific and detailed moment to reference. “‘Cause at one point, I remember hearing that 2Pac’s $700,000 check for acting in Gridlock’d had also gone to Suge. And ‘Pac was on the phone yelling and screaming ’bout, ‘Why the f*ck’s my movie money coming to you?’” he detailed. What do you think of 2pac yelling at Suge after he tried to take a $700k check from the rapper? Let us know in the comment section below.
Drake and J. Cole came through with an incredible collaboration called “First Person Shooter.” This is a track that appeared on For All The Dogs and sparked all kinds of debates. For the most part, people feel as though Drake got washed by Cole on the track. Ultimately, it is a fair assessment to make when you consider Cole’s verse. However, there are those who continue to stick up for Drake. For instance, Cole himself said that Drizzy just wanted to focus on making the best song possible.
Yesterday, the two dropped the music video to “First Person Shooter.” Overall, this new music video has been getting a ton of praise, and for good reason. The visual is grand in scope and has some pretty cool ideas going on. Moreover, there are some interesting meme recreations that grabbed people’s attention. However, one little tidbit that seems to be going viral is the frame that claims how Drake’s height is 6’2″.
Throughout the years, Drake’s height has always been listed as 6-foot on the dot. Moreover, there have been times when he has rapped about being 6-1. However, 6-2 is a height that he has never espoused until now. Not to mention, with Cole standing at 6-3, it’s clear that Drizzy didn’t want to lag too far behind. After the video dropped, numerous fans took to social media where they roasted the rapper for his alleged lie. In the plethora of tweets below, you can see the people roasting Drake for his assertion.

Today, Drake dropped a new music video for his track alongside J. Cole, “First Person Shooter.” The fan favorite collab comes from the Toronto native’s latest album For All The Dogs, which he released in October. It quickly became one of the top-performing tracks of the entire LP, along with his collabs with Yeat, Sexyy Red & SZA, and more.
The creative Gibson Hazard-directed music video leads with an appearance from Brian Baumgartner of The Office. The two of them go on to compete in various competitions, and Drake’s seen shooting an otherworldly hoop, which conveniently beckons a mob of his “Dogs” to come cheer him on as he performs on top of the Scotiabank Arena. The video closes with a curtain being pulled from a towering stone Drake statue as the crowd goes wild.
Based off of the artist’s comments section, fans are loving the dynamic video. It follows visuals for other For All The Dogs tracks “8AM In Charlotte” and “Another Late Night” ft. Lil Yachty. It also follows the announcement of Drake and J. Cole’s 2024 It’s All A Blur – Big As The What? tour in support of the new LP. The tour will see the pair team up to hit the road together for the first time since their 2012 Club Paradise tour.
Drake and J. Cole will make 22 stops across the U.S., starting off with a couple of dates in Denver in January. They’ll go on to perform in notable cities like New Orleans, Nashville, Buffalo, Memphis, and more. Cash App card holders can purchase tickets today, while general sales begin this Friday (November 17). What do you think of Drake’s new music video for his track “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole? What’s your favorite For All The Dogs visual so far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
The Grammy for Best Music Video was first awarded to Duran Duran in 1984. Since then, several artists across different genres have won the prestigious award. However, throughout its history, only seven artists have won in this category twice. At the 2024 Grammys, Kendrick Lamar’s impressive acting in his “Count Me Out” video has the chance of making him the first artist in history to win this award three times.
Additionally, there are three first-time nominees and one previous winner in this category. With all five nominations being excellent music videos, this is pretty much anybody’s game. The competition is stiff, but it’s been a good year for music videos, and each nominee certainly deserves recognition in this category.
“I’m Only Sleeping” – The Beatles
Music enthusiasts the world over know who The Beatles are. The legendary group needs no introduction, and neither are they foreigners to the Grammy stage. One of the most iconic bands of all time, The Beatles have released music since 1962. Even though they disbanded in 1970, their musical legacy remains very much alive. Their discography contains many live and studio albums, EPs, mash-up albums, and singles. They are veterans of their craft and are largely respected in the music industry.
Among their many awards and accolades, The Beatles have won seven Grammys out of 23 nominations. One of the seven was the Best Music Video award for “Free as a Bird” in 1997. “I’m Only Sleeping” was initially released as a part of the group’s 1966 album, Revolver. However, a music video was not shared until November 2022, 56 years later. Created and directed by Em Cooper, the music video is an oil-painted masterpiece. With each frame individually painted by Cooper, it took many months to complete. A win for “I’m Only Sleeping” in this category at the 2024 Grammys would secure the 24th statuette for The Beatles and the first for Em Cooper.
“In Your Love” – Tyler Childers
Tyler Childers has been performing since he was a teen in 2010. After releasing his debut single and two EPs between 2011 and 2014, he subsequently broke through with his sophomore album. Purgatory was released in 2017, and since then, the neotraditional country musician has been on a steady rise. Besides a hiatus in 2021, Childers released an album every year from 2019 until 2023. His most recent offering, Rustin’ in the Rain, contains the Grammy-nominated “In Your Love.”
While Childers was previously nominated in the Best Country Solo Performance category back in 2018, he unfortunately did not win. This year, however, he bagged five nominations, with three for “In Your Love.” The stirring music video for the heartfelt song tells the bittersweet story of two star-crossed lovers. It has received praise for representing the LGBTQIA+ community and was brilliant enough to earn a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video. If Childers wins this award at the 2024 Grammys, he will be a first-time winner in the category.
“What Was I Made For?” – Billie Eilish
Released as a part of the soundtrack album for the blockbuster live-action Barbie movie, “What Was I Made For?” has become a sleeper hit. It comes as no surprise, as Eilish has built a reputation for releasing smash hits over the last few years. While she had never been nominated in the Best Music Video category until now, Eilish is no Grammy rookie. In 2020, Eilish famously swept up four of the biggest awards of the night in the general category.
Subsequently, she has won two more awards and is looking to take home some more at the 2024 Grammys. The music video for “What Was I Made For?” is a simple yet profound offering. It tells a beautiful tale that perfectly ties into the story of the movie it was made for. If Eilish snags this award at the ceremony next year, it would be her first win in this category.
“Rush” – Troye Sivan
Troye Sivan first gained popularity on YouTube, posting videos in 2007. The Australian singer has come a very long way since then. After coming out as gay in a YouTube video in 2013, he has come to be regarded as an icon in some circles in the queer community. Three albums and several tours into his career as a musical artist, Sivan has finally received his first Grammy nominations. “Rush,” the lead single from his third album, Something to Give Each Other, was released on July 13, 2023.
Concurrently, the music video dropped on YouTube and has amassed over 21 million views. The video, one of Sivan’s best yet, is an unabashed celebration of queerness and queer culture. A Best Music Video win for Sivan at the 2024 Grammys would be his first in the category and his first ever. He is also nominated in the Best Pop Dance Recording category, so he could potentially win two Grammys on that night.
Kendrick Lamar has been described as a generational talent, and we couldn’t agree more. The rapper has released classic after classic for years, and his discography is one of the most excellent in modern Hip Hop. His latest album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, was released in 2022 to widespread critical acclaim. “Count Me Out” appears on the second half of the album, and its music video was released on December 22, 2022.
Lamar has won several much-deserved Grammys throughout his career. Among them are two Best Music Video awards for “Bad Blood”(with Taylor Swift in 2016) and “Humble”(2018). A third win in the category for the rapper would be unprecedented, making him the most awarded artist in the category. The music video for “Count Me Out” is brilliant, so if it does win, it would be deserved. However, the same can be said for every other nominated music video. We’ll let the Recording Academy decide and find out on February 4, 2024.
Offset’s new album Set It Off is performing well in a number of commercial arenas. The project generated impressive first-week sales which were enough for a top 5 debut on the Billboard 200. But he also made a splash on the singles charts placing two tracks from the album in the Hot 100 the week after it was released. The biggest hit so far has been “SAY MY GRACE” featuring Travis Scott which was also the only track to spend two consecutive weeks on the chart.
The track also got a highly successful music video which dropped shortly after the record itself. In just three weeks the video has already racked up more than 5.3 million views. To celebrate, Offset shared a series of behind-the-scenes pics from the filming of the video to his Instagram. “Why I lose my brother to bullets…why I lose my grandma to cancer,” he captioned the post. Among the pictures are numerous snaps of the former Migos rapper and one of Travis Scott. Check out the full post and various fan reactions to it below.
Recently, Offset made headlines for an entirely different video. He and his son recently teamed up for a performance of his song “ON THE RIVER” for Vevo. The clip features the rapper’s two-year-old son Wave serving as his hype man and fans found it absolutely adorable. They’ve already watched and shared the clip almost 200k times in less than two days since it dropped.
Offset might also have new music on the way soon. He teased fans with the possibility that he might drop a new album next year, as early as February. On top of that he also teased that he may collaborate with his son Wave on the project. Following Drake letting his son appear on For All The Dogs it seems fans can’t get enough of rappers collaborating with their kids. What do you think of the new pics Offset shared from his new music video shoot? Let us know in the comment section below.
Cochise is back with another fun track, “Hop In The Whip.” The carefree single is accompanied by a creative music video, which sees Cochise roaming around the city, spitting witty bars on a rooftop, and more. The single arrives only a few days after his October release, “Lukaku,” which is yet another easy listen. “Hop In The Whip” also follows his seven-track EP, No One’s Nice To Me, which he unveiled in full back in May. The song combines sunny, laid-back lyrics and playful ad-libs with a relaxed beat and an experimental melody.
“I count money, forgot how to read / I can buy what I want and I need,” he rhymes, reveling in the fruit of his labor. Similarly braggadocious, albeit light-hearted, lyrics make up the entirety track. He details feeling “so blessed” for his lifestyle, noting how he’s sure to “thank God every morning and night.”
Aside from dropping new music, Cochise is also gearing up for his tour in support of No One’s Nice To Me alongside special guest TisaKorean. The pair will make their way around the U.S., with notable stops in Miami, Jacksonville, New Orleans, and more. They’ll wrap things up at the end of this month with a performance in Philly.
Cochise has been on a roll this year, and the Palm Beach performer doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. What do you think of Cochise’s new track? Will you be adding “Hop In The Whip” to your playlist? Are you looking forward to more new music from Cochise? “taking it back to 09 baby” is what Kid Cudi tweeted before dropping his new music video. It’s for the track “ILL WHAT I BLEED” which originally dropped on Soundcloud last month. Now, he’s finally releasing the song onto streaming and celebrating with an accompanying music video. Cudi insists that this isn’t the second single from his upcoming album INSANO, just something from the album to tide fans over.
In the video itself, Cudi takes an impromptu trip around Seoul, South Korea. he makes stops at clothing stores, food markets, and just on any random street corner dancing and rapping along to the track. It’s a video that’s effortlessly fun and cool which fans were quick to point out in the comments. “Kid cudi radiates cool older brother energy,” and “Glad to see Cudi in a better place and just having fun with everything. You can really tell as of lately, much love,” two of the top comments read. The video has only been out for a few hours and already racked up more than 18k views. Check out the entire video below.
Kid Cudi’s new album INSANO was supposed to come out earlier this year. but it’s been delayed. Thankfully, he’s done a pretty good job at keeping fans engaged with the process sharing new music and info about the project. A few weeks ago he dropped that the final tracklist was expected to span more than 40 tracks.
The even bigger revelation came when Cudi teased the artists that will be making appearances on the project. Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, Young Thug, Pusha T, and Lil Yachty, are just some of the names he announced are due to appear on INSANO. The album doesn’t yet have an official release date though. What do you think of Kid Cudi’s new song and accompanying music video? Let us know in the comment section below.
Ne-Yo may be more well-known for his relationship troubles when it comes to headlines these days, but don’t sleep on his music because of it. He built up a pretty long-lasting legacy within R&B and pop, and remains one of these genres’ most popular figures. Moreover, fans are looking back at the now-iconic music video for “Knock You Down” and realizing that the singer deserves more credit than they gave him when it dropped in 2009. The track, from Keri Hilson and also featuring Kanye West, is quite the fun banger, but that’s not what people are focusing on here.
Instead, fans can’t believe that Ne-Yo moves his hands so fast in one point of the video, then raising one up to flex it. It sounds pretty bizarre for people to harp on this, but it resulted in some pretty funny commentary about it on social media. For example, some compared it to other moves by artists like Tyrese, and also made jokes about him being like Floyd Mayweather with his punches. Overall, it’s just another instance of people making old hits find new life in the social media age to pretty comical results.
What’s more is that this arm-spinning is actually kind of a common thing within R&B and rap, especially during this time. One fan pointed out that Ne-Yo’s moves are similar to that of MCs like Kevin Gates, who surely spun arms around in similar fashion to pay homage. Of course, that’s not to say that there’s a sole entertainer who holds the copyright to these moves, which might have other origins beyond music. Still, it’s kind of astonishing to see just how many people remember this and feel so strongly about the moves.
Meanwhile, the Arkansas native is focusing more on his live performances these days rather than putting out a lot of new material. He’s clearly having fun, as a wild clip emerged of a fan twerking on him during a recent concert. We’ll see if these shows bring back some arm-spinning choreography, or if the R&B star realizes how much people admire it. On that note, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Ne-Yo.
