Freeman said in a 2016 interview, “I’m a huge fan of Elon Musk’s…I think he’s got the most incredibly forward thinking ideas about where we can go technologically.” Additionally, Freeman said, “What he’s done, nobody else has ever done. He’s landed a rocket ship so it’s reusable, do you know what a feat that is? Now we’re taking off, we’re going to be going to Mars delivering stuff to people who are going to be settling there, just like they settled the Old West, and bringing those ships back and landing them and reloading them.” Freeman was truly keeping up with everything Musk.

Elon Musk was so happy that the interview resurfaced he called Morgan Freeman “Awesome” on X (Formerly known as Twitter). Fans are, of course, split on the matter. Elon Musk fans are loving it and are reposting the clip on social media. Additionally, detractors are wondering if Freeman knows about Musk’s problematic transgressions. Once again, the video is almost 8-years old, so take it with a grain of salt. That’s two presidential terms worth of time. Overall, things have changed, but Morgan Freeman is probably still a fan of the Tech mogul.

Morgan Freeman Says He Doesn’t Like The Term, “African American”

Morgan Freeman says that he finds Black History Month to be an insult and doesn’t like the term “African American.” Freeman discussed his opinion on the matter during a recent interview with The Sunday Times while promoting Zach Braff’s A Good Person. The comments have since begun circulating on social media.

“Two things I can say publicly that I do not like,” Freeman began. “Black History Month is an insult. You’re going to relegate my history to a month? Also, ‘African American’ is an insult. I don’t subscribe to that title. Black people have had different titles all the way back to the n-word and I do not know how these things get such a grip, but everyone uses ‘African American’. What does it really mean? Most Black people in this part of the world are mongrels. And you say Africa as if it’s a country when it’s a continent, like Europe.”

In response, The Sunday Times interviewer brought up the famous remark from Denzel Washington: “I’m very proud to be Black, but Black is not all I am.” In response, Freeman added: “Yes, exactly. I’m in total agreement. You can’t define me that way.”

The comments sparked debate on social media. The Game commented on a post of the news from The Shade Room: “We gone give Unc a pass on mongrel.. what he meant is people who have multiple mixes at this point in life & not aware of their true origin because of our history.” Another user wrote: “I agree with him. I ain’t African American either. I’m AMERICAN. None of my people are from Africa. I was born here. Black people have BEEN in this country free before slavery.”

Morgan’s opinion echoes similar remarks to those made by Idris Elba, earlier this year. The star of The Wire had said that he doesn’t consider himself a “Black actor,” while speaking with Esquire. The remark sparked backlash online.

T.I. Recalls The Time Morgan Freeman Got Him Fired From A Movie

T.I. has undoubtedly held down his own among those we consider to be the greatest of all time in hip-hop. He later branched out into film but he didn’t necessarily leave the greatest impression on Morgan Freeman.

During his recent appearance on Club Shay Shay, Shannon Sharpe asked T.I about the time “a famous actor got mad at you during a table read.” Tip chuckled before responding, “Say no to drugs, kids.”

T.I. confirmed that the famous actor was Morgan Freeman, though he regarded it as one of those hard-learned lessons.

“Just to be honest, I wasn’t prepared,” he said. “That was an opportunity I should’ve taken more seriously. I completely accept accountability and I’ve grown from that.”

Tip added that Morgan Freeman made him feel terrible once he called the rapper out in front of everyone. However, he understood that he needed to grow from that situation.

“That’s something I needed in my journey because that – it was like a shock to the system,” he said. He added it was a wake-up call to ensure that no one would be able to chastise him again.

T.I. previously discussed landing a role in 2013’s Las Vegas during an episode of expeditiously. He explained that he left a studio session and got to the table read where he began nodding off. That’s when Morgan Freeman called him out in front of everyone. He later received a call from his manager who told him, “Morgan Freeman said he won’t work with you. They don’t want you.”

During his conversation with Sharpe, he said that he does feel as though he could’ve had a positive contribution to the film. However, Tip said Morgan Freeman didn’t deserve blame for the outcome.

Actor Morgan Freeman Named in List 0f Over 900 People Permanently Banned from Russia

morgan freeman min

In a random act of legislation, Kremlin, the complex in the center of Moscow that heads the Russian government, has released a list of 900-plus names that are no longer allowed in the country. Among the names are American government leaders like Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton. The surprise name that was included was Morgan Freeman.

Freeman, one of the greatest actors of all time, is believed to be banned as he directed and narrated a 2017 video about Kremlin’s involvement in the U.S. 2016 presidential election. Freeman was joined by Rob Reiner in the creation of the video. Reiner was also banned.

In addition to the aforementioned names, Mark Zuckerberg is also banned, according to Deadline. Russia also permanently banned John McCain, one of three dead senators to make the list.

You can see the video created by Freeman here and see the full release that accompanied the names below.

In the context of responding to the constantly imposed anti-Russian sanctions by the United States and in connection with incoming requests about the personal composition of our national “stop list”, the Russian Foreign Ministry publishes a list of American citizens who are permanently banned from entering the Russian Federation.

We emphasize that the hostile actions taken by Washington, which boomerang against the United States itself, will continue to receive a proper rebuff. Russian counter-sanctions are forced and aimed at forcing the ruling American regime, which is trying to impose a neo-colonial “rules-based world order” on the rest of the world, to change its behavior, recognizing new geopolitical realities.

Russia does not seek confrontation and is open to honest, mutually respectful dialogue, separating the American people, who are always respected by us, from the US authorities, who incite Russophobia, and those who serve them. It is these people who are included in the Russian “black list.”
