OceanGate Submersible Used A PC Game Controller To Steer

Since this past Sunday, an OceanGate Expeditions submersible that was going to visit the Titanic wreckage in the Atlantic Ocean is missing. Five people are on board the vessel. The sub has only a few days’ worth of oxygen. Now details of the submersible’s design are coming to light. It’s safe to say that much of the infrastructure was never up to certain standards. One odd bit is they use a Logitech F710 wireless PC game controller to steer the sub. Don’t let the fancy name fool you; the controller costs around $30 on Amazon.

OceanGate’s sub made contact with the Polar Prince research ship, then dove to explore the wreckage of the Titanic. About an hour and 45 minutes into their expedition, communication went dark and they haven’t been heard from since. A segment from CBS Sunday Morning back in November 2022 shows OceanGate founder/CEO Stockton Rush giving a tour of the submersible. At one point, he holds up the game controller and explains that “We run the whole thing with this game controller.”

While the video interview in the Instagram post is fairly damning, it’s safe to assume those who opted for this expedition knew the risks involved. While there is still hope they might be found alive and well, every passing hour makes the situation more dire. The exact reason behind the OceanGate sub missing is unknown at this point. Those on board the 21-foot vessel include Mr. Rush, veteran Titanic explorer PH Nargeolet, Pakistani-born businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son, and British aviation executive Hamish Harding.

The OceanGate submersible went missing about 900 nautical miles east of Cape Cod, MA. While many people pray for the passengers’ safety, rescuers continue to scour the depths for the missing sub. Rescuers keep hearing a banging sound of sorts, but the origin of this sound is still unconfirmed. Hopefully, the location is found soon and the OceanGate passengers can reemerge to the surface.

Drake Bell Was Suicidal Prior To Disappearing, Family & Police Claim

On Thursday (April 13), reports of actor Drake Bell having gone missing practically broke the internet. Some immediately questioned the validity of the news. However, the Daytona Beach Police Department confirmed that they’ve been on the hunt for the Nickelodeon star. He apparently disappeared after 9 PM on Wednesday. Further details remained under wraps at the time, but we now know what caused so much concern among Bell’s friends and family when they couldn’t locate him. According to audio obtained by Page Six today (April 14), he threatened suicide following a feud with his wife, leaving his loved ones overcome with shock and worry.

The sound bite came from a Florida officer’s 911 call. He reported that a “celebrity who had a falling out with his wife” had been sending concerning messages to family members across the country in California. Specifically, Bell threatened to “get drunk and hang himself.” Police became involved upon hearing of the “possible attempted suicide,” opting to ping the Drake and Josh lead’s phone. This later brought authorities to a hotel in Orlando. Here, he was thankfully found alive and well around 11:30 AM yesterday.

Deputies say they’ve “taken action” to ensure that a “mental health evaluation” is scheduled for Bell. He’s been through a rough patch lately, with the separation from his estranged wife, Janet Von Schmeling, continuing to unfold. Aside from that, he’s also recovering from his previous child endangerment scandal, which he plead guilty to in 2021. The 36-year-old was ultimately sentenced to probation, though his reputation still took a serious hit.

As the internet continues to react to word of Drake Bell’s sudden disappearance and resurgence, he let fans know he’s okay by laughing about the mess on Twitter last night. “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this? 😂,” his post addressing the situation reads. Drake Bell Jokes About Missing Persons Report

April 13 saw Drake Bell reported missing and then promptly found at SeaWorld. The whole incident, which all in all lasted about two-and-a-half hours on Thursday morning, sent the internet into a frenzy. This was exacerbated by the initial police report stating that Bell was “endangered.” The report, released around 7am on Thursday, said Bell had last been seen 10 hours previously in the Daytona Highlands neighborhood of Daytona Beach.

Bell is of course no stranger to law enforcement. The former child star released finished a two-year probation for child endangerment. He also received a DUI arrest in 2015. Beyond those incidents, allegations of inappropriate conduct with a minor and abuse of his former partner have also arisen.

Bell Takes To Twitter About Ordeal

In a tweet Thursday evening, Bell addressed the day’s situation. “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this?” read the response from the Drake & Josh star. The tweet has received over 28,000 likes, with many people responding a similarly jovial fashion. According to the police report on Thursday morning, Bell had last been seen near US Route 92 in Daytona Beach around 9pm Wednesday night. According to Bell, he simply left his phone in his car. Presumably this means that Bell’s car was at his home before he left for SeaWorld the following morning. SeaWorld Orlando is about a 70-minute drive from Bell’s last reported location. TMZ placed him at SeaWorld at 9:34am, meaning Bell had arrived with his son soon after the park opened.

However, a number of questions still remain about the incident. With Drake arriving at SeaWorld Orlando around 9am Thursday morning with his son, why did no one report his son missing? Who filed the original report and why was the report filed before the traditional 24-hour time limit? And perhaps most importantly, why did the original report specify that Bell was endangered? While it is good to know Bell is safe and in good spirits about the whole thing, many things about the incident just don’t add up. However, regardless of the outstanding questions, the important thing is that Bell is safe.

Drake Bell Reportedly Safe

Earlier today, it was announced that former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell had been reported missing. Daytona Beach Police Department released a Facebook post asking for information. The post, made on the official Daytona Beach Police Facebook post and first reported by TMZ, asked the public for any information that could help find the Drake & Josh star.

According to the report, Bell had last been seen in the Daytona Highlands neighborhood near US Route 92 at 9pm Wednesday evening. Providing a description of his 2022 gray BMW, police said Bell was “missing and endangered.” Few details were given aside from a description of the car and Bell’s last known location.

Bell Spotted At SeaWorld With Son

According to information provided to TMZ, Bell was spotted by a fan at SeaWorld Orlando. The fan approached Bell, who was reportedly “nice and soft-spoken, but seemed fine.” SeaWorld Orlando is 68 miles and a 70-minute drive from Bell’s last reported location. The missing persons report did not mention Bell’s son. Bell is now in communication with law enforcement but is reportedly safe. The sighting at SeaWorld occurred a little over two hours after the police released their announcement around 7am. Given that SeaWorld Orlando opens at 9am, this indicates that Bell left Daytona Beach with his son his morning and arrived at the park as, or just after, it opened.

The incident raises a number of questions, which we hope will be answered in the coming days. Who filed the missing persons report? Was it a concerned relative or a malicious prank? The fact that Bell was with his son, who was not mentioned in the report, points to this potentially being a hoax. Furthermore, what was filed in the report that made police worried for Bell’s safety? Bell was only reported as “endangered” but not said to be a danger to the public. Once again, this speaks to a hoax. Additionally, if Drake Bell traveled to Orlando with his son after the Daytona Beach police release their statement, where we the police looking for him? Unfortunately, we won’t know for sure until the police conduct a full investigation. However, regardless of the motives, we are glad to hear that Drake Bell is safe.

3 Michigan Rappers Have Been Missing For 10 Days After Performance Is Canceled

​​Detroit police said they’re investigating the disappearance of three rappers who’ve been missing for 10 days. Per CNN, police identified Armani Kelly, 28, Dante Wicker, 31, and Montoya Givens, 31 as the missing individuals. Police said the three men went missing after a scheduled performance was canceled. Michael McGinnis, commander of major crimes of the Detroit Police, said promoters canceled the Jan 21st show. However, friends and family grew concerned after not hearing from them since.

“It’s our understanding that the performance got canceled, and from there – we just have a whole lot of unanswered questions that we are trying to find out,” McGinnis said. He confirmed that they “stopped having activity” the following morning on Jan. 22nd. McGinnis explained that the investigation began with Kelly’s mom who became extremely active in the case. She reportedly filed a missing person report the next day before tracking down her vehicle through OnStar. McGinnis said she found the car in Warren, MI, and police later recovered the car on Jan. 23rd by police.

By Jan. 27th, the case gained significant attention on social media. Once Kelly’s mom began to spread the word of her son’s disappearance, friends of Wicker and Givens also filed missing person reports. The case turned into a multi-agency investigation including departments from Detroit, Oscoda, Melvindale, and Warren. McGinnis also stated that the investigators from homicide and missing person departments are also helping try and find the three individuals.

Armani Kelly, who goes by the name Marley Whoop, reportedly called his fiancée, Taylor Perrin, around 5 p.m. to inform her the club canceled the show. Perrin explained that by 9 p.m., text messages stopped delivering to his phone, per the NYT.  She said it became increasingly worrisome, especially since they didn’t live in the same city and relied on their phones to communicate.

Fans knew Kelly as Marley Whoop, while Givens rapped under the name Jugg. We’ll keep you posted on any further updates on the case.

Kanye West Attends Church Amid “Missing” Rumours: Report

Last year, Kanye West was almost constantly in the headlines. Whether for feuding with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, or proclaiming his adoration for Hitler and his Nazis, there was no shortage of drama attached to the father of four’s name throughout 2022.

As December came to a close, however, reports surfaced claiming that the rapper is missing. According to his former business manager, Thomas St. John, Ye has been unreachable for several weeks now.

Some initially speculated that the 45-year-old could just be laying low after a chaotic year. Others immediately expressed their concerns. After so many tumultuous headlines surrounding West for months, the sudden silence feels undeniably jarring to fans.

Now one week into 2023, the father of four’s name began making rounds on Twitter. Specifically, people questioned where he could possibly be. “So are Britney Spears and Kanye West for real missing??” one user asked, addressing another ongoing dark pop culture theory regarding the “Gimme More” singer.

According to, to another tweet, Ye may be safe and sound in his happy place – church. “Eagle-eyed fans of [the Yeezy founder] spotted [him] at church after some time of missing rumours,” a post from Saturday (January 7) says.

In the accompanying photo, a man closely resembling West is seen wearing an army green jacket and a baseball cap with jeans. He stands with at least two other men, with reports stating they were conversation at the chapel.

At this time, it remains unclear if the apparent image of the Atlanta-born creative is recent. Following St. John’s prior claims, many accused him of spreading “fake news.”

Last month he revealed in court that Ye went missing as his former manager was attempting to sue him for breach of contract. The former reportedly agreed to pay the latter a $300K monthly retainer, though an “aggressive” meeting between the two ended those payments.

“[St. John] needed a guarantee that [West] wouldn’t abruptly abandon the commercial relationship, in addition to the financial costs and hazards associated with committing to [Kanye West] as client,” a lawsuit obtained by AllHipHop says. “But Mr. St. John offered to settle for a contract lasting at least 18 months.”

Theophilus London Missing Since July: Report

Hip Hop is concerned this evening after a report surfaced about Theophilus London. According to several surfacing reports, the famed rapper’s family has been searching for him.

A press release states that they haven’t had contact with London since sometime in July. With the holiday season quickly closing and still no contact, they decided to file a missing person report.

TMZ states that London’s loved ones filed the report yesterday (December 27). London was born in Trinidad and Tobago, so it’s said that several of his relatives made their way to Los Angeles to connect with the authorities face-to-face.

In a statement, the rapper’s father, Larry Moses London, made an emotional plea to his missing 35-year-old son.

“Theo, your Dad loves you, son,” said the patriarch. “We miss you. And all your friends and relatives are searching for you. Wherever you are send us some signal.” He added, “No matter what we will come get you son.”
