Fousey Reveals He Attempted Suicide, In Heartbreaking Letter To Fans

Fousey is someone who had an incredibly difficult 2023. Overall, this was due to his manic episode that was broadcast to thousands upon thousands of people. If you remember, he was going viral thanks to a Streamathon in which he was live on Kick 24 hours per day. He was always streaming, and fans got to see every single interaction and ever single moment of his day. Unfortunately, it all came to an end when Fousey was arrested on stream after making terroristic threats over the phone. Months later, Fousey has taken to Twitter to share where he’s at right now.

“As you know, it’s been almost a year since I’ve been on social media, and I need to be brutally honest about where I am,” Fousey began. “Ever since the live streaming incident last year that changed everything (again), I have been suffering deeply, and I don’t know how to escape this pain. Every day, I feel trapped in my own mind, suffocating, and battling suicidal thoughts. I even attempted to take my own life this year and failed. Now, I feel like a dead man walking—emotionless, empty, and stuck in a cycle of despair.”

It’s a complete lack of feeling that strips you of your desire to do things that are fun and exciting. Moreover, Fousey says he is still trying to get better, but acknowledges that depression is something he will have to battle for the rest of his life. These are heartbreaking admissions that many can empathize with.

Detroit Casino Forced To Cancel Brian McKnight Show Amid Backlash Over Family Drama

brian mcknight kids tout 102423 576f7b05724142f0be0abd9afff6a632

Earlier this month, R&B singer Brian McKnight was forced to cancel his show in Detroit after former fans collectively refused to buy tickets, citing his notorious mistreatment of his biological children. The controversy intensified when McKnight claimed his ex-wife Julie McKnight was preventing him from assisting their son Niko with his cancer battle.

Fans began calling Brian out last week after he referred to his biological children as “evil.” The backlash was sparked when Brian congratulated his second wife, pediatric neurophysiologist Dr. Leilani Mendoza’s daughter, on her birthday and graduation, stating he couldn’t ask for a better daughter. This comment was seen as a harsh implication towards his biological daughter, igniting a wave of criticism.

Brian’s longtime fans took exception to his comments, flooding his social media comment sections with accusations and disapproval. Unable to ignore the backlash, Brian engaged with the critics, further fanning the flames of controversy.

The tipping point came when the Motor City Casino in Detroit announced Brian’s upcoming appearance on Facebook. The post was inundated with unfavorable comments about the singer’s family issues and mistreatment of his children. Faced with overwhelming negative feedback, the casino took down the post and announced the show’s cancellation.

The fallout extends beyond Detroit. Concertgoers in other cities, such as Washington, D.C., are also turning on the R&B singer for his outlandish comments and public family disputes. The situation highlights the powerful impact of public opinion and the importance of maintaining a positive personal image, especially for public figures.

For now, Brian McKnight’s future concert plans remain uncertain as he navigates the fallout from this controversy and attempts to repair his fractured public image.

Lizzo Claims Her Mental Health Is Recovering From Last Year

Lizzo had a pretty turbulent 2023 by her standards. After a few years of being one of the biggest and most beloved stars in music on the back of hits like “Juice,” “Truth Hurts,” and “About Damn Time” she hit some rocky waters. It began with a pretty serious accusation leveled by former dancers accusing the pop star of both participating in and tolerating abusive behavior towards her dancers. The allegations seemed to divide fans with some believing the claims outright and others believing the singer’s public image as a beacon of positivity implying that she wouldn’t tolerate anything of the sort.

Regardless of how each individual fan felt, it clearly took a bit of a toll on Lizzo herself. She stayed out of the public spotlight for a few weeks following the allegations. When she did pop up in public she was occasionally visibly emotional about the whole thing. She’s slowly worked her way more and more back into the public light and recently took to Instagram with an update on how she’s doing. “I’m the happiest I’ve been in 10 months. The strange thing about depression is you don’t know you’re in it until you’re out of it,” the post begins. It’s accompanied by a basic mirror selfie of the singer. Check out the full post below.

the functionality of weighted wearables, and also explore new avenues of accessible and
adaptive apparel that can have a massive impact on the community at large.”

Maintaining Champion’s legacy of quality, the hoodie is crafted from the brand’s signature Reverse Weave Fabric, known for its cozy vintage comfort. The proprietary C Onion Quilt construction ensures the weight is balanced perfectly, enhancing the hoodie’s therapeutic benefits.

Netflix Wins Bidding War For 50 Cent’s Diddy Documentary ‘Diddy Do It’

Screen Shot 2024 05 22 at 11.07.47 AM

In the age of streaming platforms vying for content, Netflix has emerged triumphant in securing a highly anticipated docuseries delving into the tumultuous allegations surrounding rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Months of speculation and social media buzz have finally resulted in the revelation that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s production company, G-Unit Film & Television, will spearhead this riveting exposé, set to unravel the intricate web of accusations against Combs.
The genesis of this project traces back to December when Jackson first hinted at the possibility of shedding light on the dark shadows clouding Combs’ legacy.

Fueling the anticipation, faux posters teasing a documentary began circulating on social media, igniting fervent discussions among netizens. Amidst the buzz, Jackson confirmed in a tweet that Netflix had emerged victorious in the heated “bidding war,” securing the rights to the series. However, with a poignant caveat, Jackson acknowledged that should more victims come forward, the narrative might necessitate additional episodes—a testament to the gravity of the allegations at hand.
Central to the documentary’s focus are the distressing accounts of sexual abuse, rape, and sex trafficking leveled against Combs by multiple women over the past six months.

Combs, vehemently denying these claims, finds himself ensnared in a storm of accusations, with the latest lawsuit surfacing on the very day of Netflix’s announcement. The documentary promises an unflinching examination of these allegations, juxtaposed against Combs’ staunch denials.
Testimonies of individuals once entrenched within Combs’ inner circle, including former rapper Mark Curry, who divulged unsettling anecdotes from their time under Combs’ tutelage. Notably, lyrics from a Rick Ross song, eerily echoing themes of drugging and sexual assault, underscore the chilling allegations permeating the documentary’s discourse.

A pivotal moment occurred with the release of surveillance footage depicting Combs’ altercation with his former girlfriend, R&B singer Casandra Ventura—a visual testament to the dynamics overshadowing their relationship. Combs’ subsequent apology video signifies a recognition of past transgressions, yet leaves lingering questions regarding accountability. Netflix’s decision to greenlight this docuseries reflects a commitment to amplifying voices long silenced by power dynamics within the industry.

Meek Mill Says He Doesn’t Believe In Hell Because His Heart Is Gold

Meek Mill Returns to Funk Flex for Another Fire Freestyle

Philadelphia-born rapper Meek Mill— known for his candidness on social media, recently took to the X platform to share his thoughts on a range of topics from spirituality to mental health in the Black community. The 37-year-old recording artist, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, opened up about his personal beliefs and the societal issues he observes, sparking discussions among his followers.

In a tweet on Tuesday, May 21, Meek Mill delved into his views on religion, revealing his reasons for distancing himself from organized faith. “I don’t have a religion due to the simple facts of racism and [judgment] and now war,” he wrote. Reflecting on his formative years, he continued, “I made my mind up at the age of 15 living in treacherous conditions. I strongly believed in god. He answered every prayer… I don’t believe in hell and I don’t need [to] because my heart [is] gold.”

Meek’s comments highlight a journey of personal faith that rejects traditional religious structures, instead emphasizing a direct, personal connection with God. His mention of “treacherous conditions” alludes to his challenging upbringing in Philadelphia, where he faced numerous hardships that shaped his worldview.

Beyond his spiritual reflections, Meek Mill also addressed accusations of being a puppet for white billionaires, specifically Michael Rubin, a prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist. Dismissing the claims, Meek defended his independence and the genuine nature of his partnerships.

Additionally, the rapper voiced concerns about the impact of social media on mental health, particularly within the Black community. In a tweet from May 16, he stressed the importance of therapy over the constant chatter of social media. “The Black community needs therapy over social media point blank… The points we be trying to make don’t lead to anything,” he asserted. Highlighting the nature of online interactions, he added, “Just a bunch of people pointing fingers all day… I talk because I see a generation run by computers… Computers don’t suffer but people do!”

Meek Mill’s advocacy for mental health awareness is in line with his role as Co-Chair of the Reform Alliance, an organization dedicated to criminal justice reform. His call for therapy reflects a broader concern about the well-being of the community, urging individuals to seek meaningful support rather than superficial online engagement.

[WATCH] Stacy Dash Celebrates Seven Years of Sobriety

Stacey Dash Says Damon Dash Has No Authorization to Use Her for Upcoming Film 'Honor Up'

In the whirlwind of Hollywood, actress Stacey Dash has navigated her share of ups and downs. From her provocative persona on political views to her tumultuous personal battles offscreen, Dash’s journey has been anything but ordinary. However, in a recent revelation on TikTok, the Clueless star opened up about a significant milestone in her life: nearly eight years of sobriety.

It’s a stark contrast from the controversy that surrounded Dash eight years ago when, as a vocal far-right conservative, she famously joined comedian Chris Rock in a trolling stunt targeting Black people at the Academy Awards. Yet, as the dust settled on those tumultuous times, it seems Dash was battling her own demons behind closed doors.

In a candid TikTok video, Dash addressed concerns raised by social media users about her well-being, particularly speculation regarding drug use. Dispelling the rumors, she proudly declared, “I am 7 years and 9 months clean. Yayy!” Her declaration wasn’t just a proclamation of personal triumph; it marked the beginning of her journey to share her experiences with addiction and recovery openly.

Acknowledging the support and concern of her fans, Dash expressed her intention to shed light on her journey, emphasizing the transformative impact on her “mind, body, and spirit.” “I hope by doing this, I help somebody else. Cause I know the struggle’s real,” she added, a testament to her newfound commitment to advocacy and support.

Dash’s path to sobriety hasn’t been easy. She revealed her history with drug use during a 2016 interview, tracing it back to her upbringing in a household where both parents were drug users. Her mother’s initiation into cocaine use at just 16 years old marked the beginning of a long and arduous battle with addiction. It wasn’t until the birth of her son, Austin Williams, in 1991, that Dash found the resolve to confront her demons and commit to sobriety.

However, the road to recovery has been fraught with challenges. In 2021, Dash candidly admitted to relapsing after being prescribed Vicodin by a doctor, sometimes consuming up to 20 pills a day. Her honesty about her struggles resonated with many, creating a platform for open dialogue about addiction and mental health.

While Dash’s journey to sobriety is deeply personal, her decision to share it with the world reflects a newfound sense of purpose and resilience.

[WATCH] Whoopi Goldberg Reveals Dramatic Weight Loss

Whoopi Goldberg Confirms 'Sister Act 3,' Wants Lizzo and Nicki Minaj in the Movie

Whoopi Goldberg, legendary actress, comedian and co-host of “The View,” has stunned fans with her dramatic weight loss, revealing that she shed nearly 200 pounds with the help of the diabetes drug Mounjaro.

In a recent appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the 68-year-old icon opened up about her transformative journey. Goldberg candidly shared that she once tipped the scale at 300 pounds, but thanks to Mounjaro, she has shed the weight of “almost two people.”

During the interview, host Kelly Clarkson couldn’t help but remark on Goldberg’s youthful appearance. “Every time I run into you, you look younger! You’re like Benjamin Button,” Clarkson exclaimed.

Goldberg credited Mounjaro for her remarkable transformation, emphasizing its effectiveness for individuals like herself who face health challenges. She recounted an incident on a movie set where a woman mistook her weight loss for wearing a fat suit. Reflecting on the encounter, Goldberg admitted that she initially felt indignant but later realized the extent of her transformation.

Addressing the recent backlash faced by Clarkson for her weight loss journey, Goldberg came to her defense on “The View.” She highlighted the importance of destigmatizing weight loss methods, emphasizing that individuals have diverse reasons for seeking medical assistance.

“Kelly is getting backlash over this from people who say she previously claims she was losing weight by walking. Here’s a point about that: a lot of people are taking this shot because they need it,” Goldberg stated. “Some people need bodies jump-started, some have diabetes, there’s lots of reasons. She has been walking. But this has helped.”

While Clarkson has chosen not to disclose the specific diabetes drug she is taking, her openness about her journey serves as a reminder of the importance of destigmatizing health issues

BLK Dating App Launches Summer “MBA” Program For Recent HBCU Graduates

Screenshot 2024 05 15 at 9.37.29 AM

BLK, the number one dating and lifestyle app for the Black community, proudly unveils their new endeavor: The BLK MBA (Master of Black Affection) Program. Created to empower and support recent graduates from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) facing post-graduation employment challenges, this innovative initiative seeks to redefine both professional and dating dynamics, while providing financial support to young job-seekers.

At its core, the BLK MBA Program creates an opportunity for recent HBCU graduates to navigate the journey from academia to the workforce. Despite improving graduation rates, systemic and cultural obstacles often obstruct the path to employment for Black graduates. African-Americans with college degrees are twice as likely to be unemployed as other graduates, with 12.4 percent of Black college graduates being unemployed, a rate significantly higher than the 5.6 percent average for all college graduates. BLK recognizes the need for solutions to fix this gap.

Enter the BLK MBA Program – a purpose-driven initiative designed to empower and support recent HBCU graduates struggling to find employment after college. But this isn’t your traditional MBA program – there will be no coursework or thesis statements. Instead, BLK will select three outstanding graduates from HBCUs, inviting them to embark on a summer of growth and discovery. These participants will immerse themselves in the vibrant BLK community, exploring networking and connections on the app. Along the way, they’ll share feedback to make the user experience even better, working alongside the brand to gain a deeper understanding of how Black Gen-Z approaches dating, networking and creating connections. Each participant will be awarded a stipend to support them during their journey.

“Our commitment to the Black community transcends the realms of just dating,” says Jonathan Kirkland, Head of Marketing at BLK. “The BLK MBA Program showcases our dedication to creating opportunities for professional growth and personal development for recent HBCU graduates. Through this initiative, we hope not only to address the employment challenges faced by Black graduates but also to enrich our platform with diverse perspectives and experiences.”

The application process for the BLK MBA Program commences in May, inviting recent HBCU graduates to apply. Applicants will be required to submit their resumes and a personal statement that showcases both their desire and need to be a part of the program. A panel of judges, comprising BLK brand team members and Black leaders from the BLK Advocacy Council, will evaluate applications to select three participants based on academic achievements, personal statements, and potential contributions.

Selected participants will embark on a transformative journey throughout the summer, immersing themselves in the vibrant BLK community to hone their networking skills and forge meaningful connections with other Black singles, recent graduates, young professionals and Black business leaders. Participants will proactively network, arrange meetings, and go on dates with the goal of fostering relationships that could lead to meaningful relationships and valuable job opportunities. As they navigate the digital dating landscape, participants will not only shape the future of dating experiences for Black Gen-Z individuals but also gain invaluable insights into effective networking strategies.

For further information about the BLK MBA Program and details on how to apply, please visit https://www.theplugbyblk.com/blkmba2024. Stay tuned for updates and announcements via our press releases, social media channels, and in-app notifications.
