Is he or isn’t he?
He is Nick Cannon and he isn’t engaged….at least yet.
Rumors started to swirl that Cannon recently got engaged surrounding several cryptic social media posts as well as the content of a music video.
Speculation began when Abby de la Rosa, one of Cannon’s baby mamas, shares a video on Instagram of herself and Cannon on vacation in the Bahamas. In the clip, she referred to Cannon as her “newly engaged baby daddy.” However, she noted in the caption, “And NO, it’s not with me! Lmaoooo Congratulations Nick!”
This was further fueled by an Instagram post by Cannon on Thursday in which he is shown embracing a silhouette of an anonymous woman with the caption: “I said I would never do it again but…Finally doing what the world wants me to do… 
.”
However, Cannon clarified the rumors on Friday night while co-hosting Entertainment Tonight with Nischelle Turner, explaining that the cryptic post was simply a sneak peak preview of his new “Eyes Wide” music video.
In the segment, he explained: “I’m doing what the world wants me to do, I’m dropping an amazing music video.”
He further described how the video’s theme isn’t just a love song, but also a “wedding anthem” and “is about just going in with your eyes closed and being a hopeless romantic that everyone knows that I am.”
Cannon, who has already been married once to Mariah Carey, described his feelings about getting engaged again as such:
“That’s a big step, especially [with] all that I got going on in my life, just the hint of it shocked the world. If imma do that, I got to be really ready and prepared.”
Cannon had raised eyebrows a few days prior to the post when he said during the Hot Tee podcast that he was possibly open to getting back together with ex-wife Mariah Carey and even ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian, whom he dated over 15 years ago.
However, he was quick to add that he didn’t want to come between Kardashian and her current boyfriend Pete Davidson, who he referred to as his “little bro,” stating “this is controversial. She’s with my little bro.”
Cannon was still quick up note that he would “definitely spin the block” with Kardashian before stating: “Shoutout to my little bro, but I would. I mean, come on. I don’t know what their situation is. I’m not messy, I’m patient. Let’s just say that.”
Cannon has already fathered seven children and is reportedly expecting at least three more this year: his baby mama Bre Tiesi is pregnant with his eighth child and his other baby mama Abby De La Rosa is also allegedly expecting twins.

Nick Cannon has had a very extensive dating history. Despite saying he doesn’t want to be married ever again, Cannon reveals that if Kim Kardashian or Mariah Carey wanted to explore a relationship again, he would be open to it.
Speaking on the Hot Tee podcast, Nick Cannon gave love to Pete Davidson and even called him his “little bro.” Cannon said, “it was really interesting when I saw them together,” before announcing he would definitely double back on the reality star.
“It’s all love, but that’s Kim Kardashian,” Cannon said. “I’d definitely spin the block. Shoutout to my little bro, but I mean, come on. I don’t know what their situation is. I’m not messy, I’m patient. Let’s just say that.”
Cannon’s adoration for his ex-wife Mariah Carey is not a secret but he also says if she were to leave her longtime relationship, he is available.
Cannon said, “Dude is amazing with my kids. I truly respect that. But, come on, that’s my fantasy love … I will never have a love like I had with Mariah, and I appreciate that.”
In a cliche toast to their former romance, Cannon said, “Always by my baby.”
During the conversation, Cannon touches on numerous other subjects, including being the one who introduced Kardashian and Kanye West.

Mariah Carey is now a part of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The legendary hit maker took to social media to thank her fans for their love and support for over 25 years and said her favorite part of creating music is writing the lyrics.
She also credited the achievement as being the greatness honor of her career. Carey has waited three years to be inducted as the Induction and Awards Gala had been postponed each year since 2020.

According to Yahoo!, musician Andy Stone, who performs as Vince Vance as a member of Vince Vance & The Valiants, filed the lawsuit in New Orleans this past Friday. According to Stone, Carey has violated copyright infringement and misappropriation. Named alongside Carey is the co-writer Walter Afanasieff and Sony Music Entertainment.
The lawsuit states Carey’s single exploited the “style” and “popularity” of Stone’s single, which he states had massive success during the 1993 holiday season.
Stone’s single does not have the same medley or lyrics as Carey’s, which was released five years later, but he believes the titles cause confusion and she did not ask him for permission.
Stone attempted to settle with the defending parties in April 2021 but did not come to an agreement.

Nick Cannon will reportedly be a father. Again.
While it has not been officially confirmed, Cannon might be a father for the ninth (or even tenth) time.
On Friday, Abby De La Rosa (one of Cannon’s baby mamas), announced on Instagram that she’s expecting, sharing a short clip on her feed of balloons spelling out “BABY.” In the caption, she wrote:
“IM PREGNANT 
Another set of twins?!”
While De La Rosa didn’t explicitly mention Cannon, she has mentioned how she would like to have more children with him. She said that she would be answering more questions about the pregnancy on her OnlyFans. Her and Cannon welcomed twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir in June of 2021.
Cannon already has eight children, a topic he discussed in an issue of Men’s Health that came out earlier this month. In the interview, he said that: “Contrary to popular belief, I’m probably engaged throughout my children’s day, more often than the average adult can be.”
In addition to Zion and Zillion, his other children include Morrocon and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, Golden Sagon and Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, and his late son Zen with Alyssa Scott. In January, Cannon announced that he’s expecting his eighth child with Brie Tiesi.
