Blueface Claims Police Barred Him From Rolling Loud LA Performance

Blueface took to Twitter to claim police stopped him from performing at Rolling Loud LA this weekend. Moreover, the festival canceled his set prior to his scheduled time for no apparent reason, and he didn’t show up to perform. After the California rapper posted the update to his Twitter feed, he also announced a show in Pomona, California on March 16th. While it’s unclear whether this was scheduled beforehand or in response to his set’s cancellation, it certainly lined up time wise. Still, not much else is known about this situation, so take Blue’s words with a grain of salt.

“Sorry rolling loud they hit my bus police ain’t let us in,” he tweeted Saturday (March 4). Also, after that tweet, he also gave some interesting information on his Cardi B collab for the “Thotiana” remix. “When I got that cardi feature, I never spoke with her prior to the studio session or recording of the music video. Everything was done from management to management to ensure professional business. No money was exchanged for anything because it made cents for everyone no leverage.”

Furthermore, his set wasn’t the only one that faced difficulties at this year’s West Coast premier rap festival. In addition, Travis Scott’s set was inexplicably cut short as he performed “SICKO MODE.” Of course, these delays and scheduling changes are normal for such large-scale festivals, especially ones as wild as Rolling Loud.

Meanwhile, the “Bleed It” rapper and his girlfriend Chrisean Rock recently appeared on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast. Moreover, the boxing legend asked the couple if fighting is how they show their love to one another. Blue said that he only fights when he has to, while Rock said he “plays nice and then he switch.” Even though news surrounding the couple seems unavoidable online, maybe talking about their relationship in more open dialogues will result in a change in what many perceive as a toxic dynamic. Kendall Jenner & Bad Bunny May Have Made Out At A Los Angeles Club, Social Media Reacts

The last man publicly linked to Kendall Jenner was her on-again-off-again NBA star ex, Devin Booker. The pair appears to have called it quits for good last November. Since then, the model has been loving life in the single lane. Earlier this week, though, she caused a stir online when rumours began circulating that she was playing “tonsil hockey” with a certain Latin rapper in Los Angeles.

Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but according to a blind item submitted to DeuxMoi, there was a “famous model sister seen playing tonsil hockey with Bad Bunny at a private L.A. club last night.” As DailyMail notes, there was no revealing of the runway star’s identity in the initial post, though the gossip site did later allege that Jenner was the one getting up close and personal with the foreign star.

On the Deux U podcast, the anonymous blogger obviously had more tea to spill. “I have witnesses on the scene who saw her leave the club. Kendall left the club and got into her car. Two minutes later they pulled Bad Bunny’s car around,” they dished to listeners. So far, the reactions from fans have been anything but chill, many of them criticizing the 28-year-old for seemingly pursuing a white woman.

“These rumours about Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner making out in a club got me sick to my stomach,” one person previously wrote alongside a video of someone crying. “Ok. This 818 Tequila marketing campaign has gone too far,” another joked, bringing the reality starlet’s controversial liquor company into the conversation. Elsewhere, others took the opportunity to crack jokes about the undeniably unexpected pairing.

As one tweet points out, “Bad Bunny won’t get cancelled for throwing a phone but he might get cancelled for dating Kendall.” To start off 2023, the Puerto Rican performer firstly tossed a fan’s phone into the water after being disrespected. Shortly after he went private on Instagram, though he resurfaced on the platform earlier this week with a selfie.

Drake’s Home Burglarized In Los Angeles, Man Arrested After Stealing Unknown Item: Report

One of the undeniable perks that come with celebrity status is having the money to purchase luxurious homes. However, that same status and worldwide fame are exactly what makes public figures the unfortunate targets of many robberies and break-ins. The latest star to fall victim to the criminal antics is none other than Drake.

On Friday (January 27), TMZ broke the story. The night before, Champagne Papi’s Los Angeles residence was broken into. At the time, a man snuck into the rapper’s home, consequently alerting his security who promptly called the police.

Officers responded last night. They say that Drake’s team reportedly saw an unknown man leaving the property while carrying an unknown object. By the time authorities arrived, the suspect disappeared and a neighbourhood search began.

Sources tell the outlet that hours later, a man matching the suspect’s description walked down a nearby street. Cops took the anonymous perpetrator into custody. He was apparently still carrying the mysterious object previously taken from the mansion.

Thankfully, Drake wasn’t home at the time of the burglary, but he’s certainly no stranger to similar past experiences. As TMZ notes, a 23-year-old man was arrested at the same home as recently as July for misdemeanour trespassing. This surprise visitor was claiming that the father of one is also his dad.

News of the break-in is certainly upsetting for Drake. Thankfully, he’s got great friends in his corner to help turn that around, such as Jim Jones. Earlier this week, The Diplomats artist declared his Canadian friend the hip-hop group’s “fifth official member” following their legendary takeover at the Apollo Theatre.

03 Greedo Asks Media To Stop Calling Him An L.A. Rapper

When it comes to hip-hop media and news coverage, people try their best to remedy mistakes and avoid them. However, especially when it comes to how to represent other artists, slip-ups happen and should be treated with respect and proper care. Moreover, 03 Greedo took to his Instagram story to ask media outlets to stop referring to him as an L.A. rapper.

Of course, that’s technically the case, but the 35-year-old specifically reps the neighborhood of Watts. Furthermore, Greedo still made his love for the greater Los Angeles county clear.

“To all the media people’s,” his post began. “Yes. love California and the county of Los Angeles. And will bring my area to the top of the game this year. BUT I Am Not From LA!! (The city) NO!! I am From Watts. So La Rapper is not how y’all finna introduce me cuz.”

To be fair, such a mistake is one that even this writer made in previous reports. Still, it’s heartening to see Greedo speak his truth and clarify things as he gears up for a big year. While the conditions behind his release are murky, he still recently confirmed that he’s out of jail. However, things are easier said than done.

“Yes, I am free from prison but I am still not completely out,” he wrote. “For anyone confused I am in a halfway house for up to 6 months with a five minute phone call a week. Where I am I just want to see my daughter and record music. I wish I could have released alot more music while I was away. So, I have this chip on my shoulder to just go record n drop at least 12 tapes before my major album and I honestly just don’t want to talk to alot of people yet. I got a lot I want to clear in my head first.

“So, if I’m not recording with you or laying with you, I’m not inna rush to talk after damn near 5 years,” he continued. “Just being honest! Salute to the GeeHive and all my supporters, I love you. Thank u for keeping me alive while I was incarcerated. Yours Truly, Cheeto.”

Celly Ru Releases “Hush” With OhGeesy

Celly Ru just dropped “Hush” featuring OhGeesy, which will surely fit snugly on your West Coast playlist this week. In it, Celly and Geesy trade bars over a menacing piano loop, sharp drums, and a grandiose vocal sample. Moreover, it’s Celly’s most high-profile single in a while. Last we heard from him on HNHH, he collaborated with Mozzy and E Mozzy for the H.G.M. mixtape.

While this is one of Celly’s most notable releases in a while, the Sacramento rapper has been putting in work consistently. He already threw his name in the ring this year with the E Mozzy collab tape Middle East. Moreover, his hustle resulted in increasingly confident verses, better beat selection, and overall upward trajectory. Sure, we’re used to hearing Celly collaborate with Mozzy and company quite often, but to link with Geesy is another treat in and of itself.

Instrumentally, each element of this track is effectively understated. Still, the focus is on the bars and flows, although the beat has some creative details that make it dynamic. For example, the main piano lines go up in pitch as the flows switch up, and there are more melodic elements than the track lets on. Atmospheric and almost opera-like vocal samples, an extra key line, and Geesy’s catchy hook.

However, it doesn’t make the song feel any less cold-blooded. As Celly and his featured L.A. guest go through their performance. there’s a husk to each of their voices. Meanwhile, the sharp hi-hats and snares contrast well with the dreamy texture of the instrumental. Lyrically, there’s a lot of debauchery and hedonism to talk about, whether it’s their money-making exploits or their relationship to others in their circle. What’s clear is that Celly adds a slightly faster, more dramatic approach to this Southern sound.

Rapper Feezy Lebron Threatened By Crazy Cop

The video of yet another police officer threatening an unarmed Black man is going viral on social media. Although the incident occurred on New Year’s Eve, the bodycam footage has recently been circulating across Twitter.

The victim is rapper Feezy Lebron, who was simply sitting in his car on his phone while in Los Angeles. Two officers subsequently approach his car to question him. However, one is frighteningly quick to pull his gun and explicitly threaten him.

“You take off in this car, I’ma shoot you. I’m gonna make it super easy on you.. you put this car in drive, you’re getting one right to the chest,” the cop threatens while pointing his gun at Feezy. The rapper has his arms up and is evidently complying.

The pair of police were allegedly questioning him for smoking weed in his car. However, marijuana is legal in the state of California. It has been since 2016. Additionally, Feezy says he did have weed in his car, but claims he wasn’t smoking it.

“Unfortunately for you, you shouldn’t smoke so much weed in your car and we wouldn’t have to search you,” the officer attempts to explain. He goes on to inappropriately accuse the rapper of having anger issues based on his response and denial to these claims.

The L.A. rapper is continuing to speak about the incident on his Instagram account. “jus glad to have survived tht last encounter…-these guys are literally hunting us…Please continue to SHARE[.] This is the way I’m most likely to DIE..it will always end with HANDCUFFS or GUNS DRAWN,” he writes in the caption of a post on January 3.

The incident is evidently causing outage all across social media. Attorney Ben Crump took to his Twitter account to voice his thoughts on the unfortunate situation on Monday (January 9). “This is grossly UNPROFESSIONAL & concerning – on Dec. 31, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy reportedly threatened to shoot an LA-based rapper during a traffic stop! A complaint has been filed, & the Sheriff’s Department is investigating the deputies’ actions and language,” he writes.

Feezy Lebron was ultimately detained and put into the police car. The Los Angeles Sheriffs Department is responsible for releasing the footage. They say they did so in order to be transparent. “One deputy displayed pepper spray, then drew his firearm and used unprofessional language, which later resulted in a complaint filed by that community member,” reads part of their statement.
