Lil Yachty And 1017 ALYX 9SM Team Up For “Warriors”

Lil Yachty continues to keep fans fed with his latest single, “Warriors.” The track is part of a collaboration with clothing brand 1017 ALYX 9SM. According to the brand’s website, the song will be featured on a compilation album featuring several other artists, including folk artist Ethel Cain. At the time of this writing, none of the other expected appearances had been announced.

As well as defending his position in Hip Hop, Yachty is on the lookout for love in the track. Additionally, it suits the album’s dark and moody tone. Lil Yachty speaks of the loneliness of being a rapper and how he’s searching for a connection with someone who can understand and appreciate his life. It’s a vulnerable side of Yachty that we haven’t seen before, and it adds a new dimension to his music.

The Track Is Part Of A Compilation Album

It is not known when the project will be released, but it is likely to be sometime this year. The brand appears to be making its first foray into music, so it will be interesting to see how it goes. It is yet to be seen if the project will be successful. However, the music industry is highly competitive, and the project will have to stand out in order to be successful.

In other related news, the rapper also dropped off his latest full-length LP at the beginning of this year, Let’s Start Here. It debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, going on to sell 36K album-equivalent units in its first week. In July, Lil Yachty then leaked six songs on his alternate SoundCloud account, leading fans to believe that he was working on new music. Let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Miguel And Lil Yachty’s “Number 9” Is Pure Euphoria

A collaboration that maybe most might have not seen coming, Miguel and Lil Yachty. They have just dropped a brand new single called “Number 9.” This is the R&B star’s second single of 2023 and his first collaboration with Lil Boat. With the Georgia native exploring more left-field sounds with his latest release, Let’s Start Here., Yachty has proven to be one of the best artists this year. Now, the colorful rapper teams up with a top-tier singer for an angelic cut, “Number 9.”

The Californian’s last song “Give It To Me” was well-received with tremendous production that includes drums, guitars, and oh, of course, Miguel’s heavenly voice. The vibe on that track is similar to what we are getting here with this latest effort. “Number 9” possesses more of an R&B vibe than “Give It To Me,” but honestly it does not make the track any worse. The beat is more simple, however, still feels like there are layers upon layers to peel back which makes for a terrific listen.

Miguel And Lil Yachty Take Us On A Trippy Journey With Their New Single, ‘Number 9’

At long last, we finally have new music from Miguel. After giving us the first taste of his upcoming album back in April with “Give It To Me,” Miguel has followed it with a trippy new track, “Number 9.”

Over a trippy, psychedelic beat, Miguel embraces change within himself, as he embarks on a journey of rebirth.

“Brake lights off / In the distance don’t follow me / And thе sky / Came crawling out beneath thе waves / Crashing into the sun ain’t no stopping me / And when the checkered flags are waved / There’ll be no one else / And nothing left of me,” sings Miguel on the song’s opening verse.

Joining him on the song is hip-hop artist Lil Yachty, who, this past January, released a psychedelic-inspired project of his own called Let’s Start Here.

On his verse, Yachty encourages the listener to “Feel your deep-rooted emotions / Fulfill the devotions
Don’t you get away, I’ll be on your skin like lotion / Living inside your brain.”

According to a statement from Miguel, “Number 9” is “about end[ing] the old, starting new, and the cylindrical nature of change.”

Fans can also expect a new album from Miguel this coming fall.

Sexyy Red Gets A Call From Her Baby Daddy In Jail In The Middle Of An Interview

In a new interview clip that’s going viral today, Sexyy Red is in the middle of an interview when she gets a call from her baby daddy. When she picks up the phone their conversation goes to some pretty NSFW places, but the pair are surprisingly cute. At first, she tells him they also want to interview him, which he responds to with charming confusion. They ask him questions like how he’s doing and what he ate today, but the real meat of the interview came on their next question. They ask him what he WANTS to eat, but Red chimes in and answers for him saying “he wanna eat me baby.”

Fans in the comments thought that the video was hilarious. “Put them on Love During Lockup!” reads one of the top comments on the post. “She’s ghetto down and I love it” another commenter agreed. Elsewhere in the comments, fans stood up for Sexyy Red in the face of against hate she gets online. “Gotta love Sexyy 😂. Idc what the haters say she’s lit,” one of the top comments says. “Ahhhhh leave the girl alone. People have careers to sustain. Her fan base loves her for this reason and her kids are well taken care of and getting rich. Let them live,” another one agrees.

Sexyy Red Gets A Surprise Phone Call

In the same interview, Sexyy Red made another strange reveal to Lil Yachty. She declared that she doesn’t use condoms and labeled herself the “raw dog queen.” Unsurprisingly, that generated some questionable attention to her. Many quickly connected it to an extremely weird bar about STDs that she once posted on her Instagram story.

Earlier this year in June, Sexyy Red released her debut album, Hood Hottest Princess. The album featured the hit song “Pound Town 2” featuring Nicki Minaj which has stuck around on the back end of the Hot 100 since being released. What do you think of Sexyy Red’s boyfriend being surprise interviewed in a new clip? Let us know in the comment section below.

Southside Previews New Music With Future And Lil Yachty

One of the undisputed G.O.A.Ts (greatest of all time) in the Atlanta rap scene, especially when it comes to producers, is Southside. He has worked alongside the most popular rappers of this generation like Young Thug, Drake, Travis Scott, and countless others. The biggest hits will easily go down as the best trap rap songs of this decade and maybe ever. Those include, “Both” with Gucci Mane and Drake, “Met Gala” by Offset and Gucci Mane, there are just too many to name.

However, it is hard to ignore arguably his most frequent collaborator, Future. His recent efforts on Pluto’s latest record I NEVER LIKED YOU, were absolute heat and debatably the most well-produced tracks. Southside’s fingerprints were on “I’M DAT N****,” “WE JUS WANNA GET HIGH,” and “VOODOO,” featuring Kodak Black. With the success of that album and the camaraderie that the Atlanta superstars possess, they are continuing to combine their talents in the studio. However, Lil Yachty is teaming up with the legend as well and both sound incredible in this latest Instagram video.

Miguel And Lil Yachty Will Unite For Their Upcoming Single, ‘Number 9’

In April, Miguel returned after a long hiatus with the song “Give It To Me,” followed by “Sure Thing” in June. It’s only getting better from here after the announcement of another new single featuring an artist who this year has been on a lot of people’s minds.

“Number 9” is arriving Friday, August 11, and it features Lil Yachty, whose January record Let’s Start Here was a polarizing release. Miguel shared an alluring teaser to Twitter that previews a catchy harmony and shows the blue single art with a scorpion on it.

At the Let’s Start Here listening event, Lil Yachty explained why the record was important to him. “This album is so special and dear to me,” he said. “I think I created it because I wanted to be taken seriously as an artist. You know? Not just some SoundCloud rapper. Not some mumble rapper. Not some guy that just made one hit. I wanted to be taken seriously because music is everything to me, and I respect all walks of music. Not just rap and hip-hop but everything. I wanted to make something that showed the world that shows it, just how great music is to me.”

“Number 9” is out 8/11 on Sony Music. Find more information here.

Lil Yachty Gets In Touch With His Spirit In His New ‘Solo Steppin’ Crete Boy’ Video

Back in January, rapper Lil Yachty released his album Let’s Start Here. Let’s Start Here marked a shift in artistic direction for Yachty, as he tapped into more rock-and-psychedelic-influenced sounds. But today (August 9), Yachty has shared a new single, “Solo Steppin Crete Boy,” which seems to mark a return to his melodic rap sounds.

On “Solo Steppin Crete Boy,” Yachty delivers rapid-fire bars over a smooth, downtempo beat.

“Anywhere, everywhere, he don’t give a damn / Empty the clip, reload the clip, we call it sleight of hand / My memory bad, so I’m f*ckin’ baby on cam’ / Bottega coat, I copped, R.I.P to couple M’s,” he raps.

In the song’s accompanying visual, Yachty is wrapped up in an American flag and later seen vibing outside of a Buddhist monastery.

This summer has been quite eventful for Lil Yachty. Over the summer, he met singer Pinkpantheress, who thanked him for supporting her from the beginning of her music career. He also performed his viral hit, “Poland” six times in a row, in Poland.

Currently, Yachty is gearing up for his Field Trip Tour, which kicks off next month.

In the meantime, you can see the “Solo Steppin’ Crete Boy” video above.

Lil Yachty’s Self-Assured ‘Slide’ Video Is A Subtle Reminder Of His Unfazed Swag

On Lil Yachty’s latest album, Let’s Start Here, the musician explored his inner rocker. But don’t think he has completely turned away from rap music. With the release of his new single, “Slide,” Yachty effortlessly glides back into the genre. As GENT! and Bangs’ production still pulls from the psychedelic elements of Let’s Start Here, it is the bravado of hip-hop that makes “Slide” pop.

In the official video for the track, Yachty and the visual’s director provide fans with a subtle reminder of how much cooler he is compared to other rappers. Whether he’s lounging around eating pizza or hanging out with friends, Yachty isn’t fazed by what others are doing because he’s in a lane all his own.

That mindset shows up throughout the song’s lyrics, especially in the stanza, “Yeah, keep it intact, all of my n****s know just how to act (Yeah)
These n****s act like thеy ain’t never had b*tches, thеy ain’t keepin’ it player (‘Kay) / Beatin’ that sh*t out the square, ain’t even playin’ it fair (Yeah) / Ain’t gotta worry, ain’t sayin’ sh*t, shit like I wasn’t even there (Huh).”

This “cooler than the other side of pillow” energy is sure to show up when Yachty hits the road in the fall for his Field Tribe Global Tour.
