Young Thug Helping His Lawyer In Court During Hearing: Watch

Young Thug and YSL’s RICO case is still hanging in an odd limbo state, but that’s not letting the defense team get their spirits down. Moreover, a video recently emerged online of Thugger helping his lawyer Brian Steel with proceedings during a court hearing. Specifically, it seems like Steel enlisted the Atlanta trap pioneer to help him take some notes down, as he put pen to paper when the judge clarified some numbers. It may be a very small and, for many, meaningless task, but it’s not every day you see defendants being an active part of the courtroom process. At best, it serves as a heartening symbol for both Thug and Steel working their hardest to make their case together.

Furthermore, both have done everything they can to both move this trial forward and get the freedom they seek. The last update on this case was the defense team moving to exclude evidence of alleged goat sacrifices from the trial. Of course, this was a bizarre and concerning development, if only because of the dark and mysterious nature of the act and its ludicrousness when said out loud. Regardless, it’s similar to other motions to dismiss artifacts, statements, and other pieces of evidence that could paint Young Thug and YSL in a negative light in ways that don’t relate to the indicted charges.

Young Thug Takes Notes During Hearing

Unfortunately, many of these efforts have not worked out in their favor. The BUSINESS IS BUSINESS MC saw multiple denials of bond, the most recent of which came after a hospital scare. With jury selection still underway amid multiple delays, it could be a long time before the trial actually gets up and running. Despite the suggestion that the developments right now are moot, there’s been no shortage of wild and consequential layers added to this story.

Meanwhile, fans still appreciate any chance to see Jeffery throughout all this. Sometimes, he looks distraught, whereas on other days like this note-taking instance, he seems to keep his head up through it all. All fans can hope for is that his health is much better now, and that this long wait doesn’t take a tougher toll on him. Kodak Black Enjoys Italy Vacation While His Lawyer Goes To Court Hearing

Kodak Black is no stranger to legal trouble, and it seems like that experience has numbed him to the court setting. Moreover, his attorney Bradford Cohen recently attended a status hearing in on the Florida rapper’s drug case in Broward County according to a Local10.com report from Friday (August 11). While the court did not require Yak to attend physically, Cohen still let them know of his whereabouts during his time at the hearing. Apparently, Kodak was “enjoying himself” on a boat in Italy, specifically Capri. Considering how much this particular case has lasted, it’s understandable that he would want some space to breathe, as much as that process has been mostly his doing.

Furthermore, the hearing relates to a June arrest for failing to submit a drug test, which was part of his pretrial release terms. Authorities initially arrested Kodak Black back in July of 2022 for oxycodone trafficking, controlled substance possession, and expired driver’s license and tags. After this run-in, they released him on $75,000 bond, and officials issued a warrant for his arrest in February for failing to submit the drug test. Eventually they caught him in June for similar charges, and released him on $175,000 bond.

In addition, the judge in this case allowed for the 26-year-old to spend 30 days in a rehab facility to work on his struggles. Even though Kodak Black is assumedly having a great time overseas, this comes shortly after many fans voiced concern for his health and sent him well-wishes following a scary scenario. The Pistolz & Pearlz MC was reportedly stretchered into a hospital, based on a video on social media that seems to depict him entering the premises. It seems like things got better quickly, so hopefully Kodak is enjoying the best health possible during his trip.

Meanwhile, it’s unclear exactly how much longer he will have to reckon with these legal roadblocks. Whether it’s release term renegotiations or actually following up on these, there will likely be more updates in this case soon. After all, one would think that he would go to court as a final goodbye if it was wrapping up soon. On that note, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kodak Black.

Casanova’s Life In Danger For Renouncing Gang Affiliation, Lawyer Claims

Casanova is reportedly in serious danger according to his lawyer, James Kousouros. The news comes after Casanova was attacked at the Essex County Jail on June 14. Kousouros says his client was jumped after explicitly renouncing his association with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone gang.

Casanova was apparently in the common area of the jail doing pushups when another inmate stabbed him in retaliation for abandoning his gang affiliation. “His public renunciation of the gang has and will continue to pose a threat to his life which will make his future incarceration far more onerous than contemplated by our judicial system,” James Kousouros said, according to AllHipHop.

Kousouros also cited the testimony of a former associate of Tekashi 6ix9ine to make his argument. He noted that Roland “Ro Murda” Martin was also stabbed multiple times for abandoning the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. In that case, Judge Englemayer admitted that Martin deserved a lesser sentence. He explained his sentence was “far worse than for any ordinary inmate, more painful, more alarming and more scary.”

“[Casanova] began his distancing from the gang years ago, as we have detailed in our initial submission, as he publicly advocated against gang membership relating in detail the destruction of the gang life from his own personal experiences,” Kousouros further explained.

Casanova has been behind bars since December 2020. He was named among 18 alleged members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang charged in connection with various racketeering, murder, narcotics, firearms, and fraud offenses. Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said at the time: “As alleged in the Indictment, members of Gorilla Stone committed terrible acts of violence, trafficked in narcotics, and even engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.” Casanova’s sentencing is scheduled for June 27. Be on the lookout for more information on his case at that time.

Quando Rondo’s Lawyer Names Ray Charles & Led Zeppelin To Try To Free Him

Authorities recently indicted Quando Rondo on drug and gang-related charges, alleging he leads the Rollin’ 60s organization. During a bond hearing in Georgia on Friday (June 23), his attorney Jonah Pine argued for his prompt release from jail in court. However, his argument contained some interesting references and reasoning in relation to the Savannah native’s music career and opportunities. Moreover, he spoke of his placement on Atlantic Records, bringing up the label’s extensive and commercially gigantic history, plus their concern for the MC. Even though it may seem odd for spectators of the trial, it would be far from the first time that an artist’s success and status tried to be used as an argument for their freedom.

“He’s got the support of one of the greatest record labels in this country,” Pine remarked according to WTOC. “The same record label as Led Zeppelin and Ray Charles, that’s his label. They’ve provided a letter to us, it’s very heartfelt and talks about his career.” On the other hand, prosecutors expressed belief in Quando Rondo being a flight risk and posing a dangerous threat to his community.

As such, she delayed a decision to determine whether the 24-year-old would be able to seek bond in this case following his mid-June arrest. As far as his charges, Quando Rondo (real name Tyquian Bowman) faces two counts of conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws in Georgia. Also, charges include one count of participating in criminal street gang activity and one count of use of communication facility in commission of a controlled substance felony.

Meanwhile, the Never Broke Again affiliate recently expressed regret over putting his personal life online. While that came before his arrest, the statement certainly took on new context after it, and reflects a tough balance between his career and his alleged endeavors. In addition, there’s his long and deep feud with Lil Durk, through which these crimes he stands accused of saw frequent allusion. YNW Melly’s Lawyer Going Viral For Mugshot

Everything about the ongoing YNW Melly trial has been exceedingly viral. But today there was a whole new conversation going on surrounding it, mainly focusing on a previous mugshot of Melly’s current lawyer. This morning, the leading story from the trial had to do with Melly being denied the motion for a mistrial that his lawyers requested. Now one of those lawyers, Raven Liberty is getting attention for an entirely different kind of reason.

A mugshot of Liberty is making the rounds online and generating quite a lot of attention from those watching the events of the trial unfold. Liberty was reportedly arrested for battery in Miami resulting in the mugshot originally being taken. While the charges were eventually dropped the mugshot still exists online and fans tracked it down. Despite some suggesting that Melly might have chosen her as his lawyer for reasons other than her skill and knowledge, she does have a good reputation. She’s most well known in the rap world for representing Kodak Black numerous times during his ongoing legal troubles.

YNW Melly’s Lawyer Goes Viral

Earlier this week YNW Melly’s mother confessed that stress from the trial is taking a toll on her health. In a video posted to Instagram she claims that she’s “had one heart attack already because of stress.” Though it’s unclear when exactly this happened it is clear that the trial was the route cause. It’s also been reported that in the short time since the trial began Melly has seen a massive increase in Spotify listeners. Though the trial has only been going on for a week he’s seen an increase in over 800k monthly listeners.

The events of the trial date back to a double murder committed in October of 2018. Two of YNW Melly’s friends, YNW Sackchaser and YNW Jury were murdered in what was allegedly a drive-by shooting. Prosecutors allege that it was actually staged and that the shots were fired from inside the vehicle. Melly’s defense has focused on the lack motivation he would have for killing his own friends. What do you think about YNW Melly’s lawyer and her viral mugshot? Let us know in the comments below.

YNW Melly Has A Chance To Win His Case, Kodak Black’s Lawyer Says

All eyes are on YNW Melly’s trial for double murder, which could be the first in the state of Florida in years to result in a death penalty thanks to new state law. Moreover, streams and footage of the trial flooded social media this week as the trial began on Monday (June 12). Amid all the commotion, many wonder what the outcome of the trial will be, especially given the Gifford rapper’s antics throughout. However, this also came with legal advice thrown into the ring from Bradford Cohen, attorney for Kodak Black who offered his insight into the case. From what Cohen stated, this will be a tough case, which is in contrast to what many assumed when watching footage.

“Day 2 is coming up on the YNW Melly case,” the lawyer wrote on Instagram earlier in the week. “The first few days of trial are not that interesting in regards to a story or the real meat of the case… This case is going to be very technical with phones and date etc. But again, they can’t say someone else didn’t get in the car or someone else did the shooting. I think the case has built in reasonable doubt, and I saw a lot of the discovery while I was on the case. Like I said, this will be a tough case for the prosecution.”

Kodak Black’s Lawyer Speaks On YNW Melly Case

Now we’re at day four, and Bradford Cohen continuously commented on the trial’s development on his social media if anyone is interested. Still, he’s one of many voices chiming in, so there is no shortage of that. For those unaware, Cohen currently represents Kodak Black on drug-related charges. Surely his insights could evolve and shift as the trial goes on, but it’s important to consider that no one but those in the courtroom will really know the nature of this case.

Regardless, as the attorney stated, the “223’s” MC has a long path ahead of him when it comes to his murder case. It’s unclear how long the trial will last, but its opening days have a lot of footage without a lot of case development itself. As such, those interested in its outcome will have to be patient and understand that it could take a long time for the public to understand what allegedly went down. For the latest updates and more news on YNW Melly’s trial, stick around on HNHH.

Vybz Kartel’s Lawyer Believes His Life “Is In Danger”

According to Isat Buchanan, Vybz Kartel’s lawyer, the Jamaican musician has been kept under inhumane conditions throughout his prison stay. The lawyer shared a statement with Urban Islandz, where he also claims Vybz Kartel is being kept in solitary confinement “lockdown” for up to 23 hours each day. He was convicted of murder in 2014, and sentenced to life in prison. Vybz must serve 35 years before becoming eligible for parole.

“The concerns are two-fold,” Buchanan begins. “The Department of Corrections does not have adequate facilities to care for persons with ill health while incarcerated as a guest of the state. Mr. Palmer is under private treatment at his expense. It is within the knowledge of prison officials that his health is a concern.” He continued, “To be placed under a 23-hour lockdown as an appellant given the state of his health is most unfortunate. His medical condition requires access to clean air. Breathing is essential to life that is common sense. It is inhumane punishment [to] execute this form of punishment on Mr Palmer and others given the state of the prisons.”

Lawyer Claims Vybz Kartel Is Living In “Inhumane Conditions”

According to the artist’s parents, he’s being punished in this way due to guards finding contraband in his cell block. They claim that Vybz Kartel is the only prisoner being punished, despite other prisoners also being guilty of the offense. “Strangely enough, in addition to the 100s of cell phones found daily at that institution, thousands at lockups across the island. The supt seems to have ill will against Kartel,” a representative of the family also claims.

An Instagram post made by what claims to be the artist’s record label also similarly reads, “Since Tuesday the superintendent at tower street adult correctional centre, Superintendent Campbell has given strict orders to have Adidja Palmer aka Vybz Kartel under 23 hours lock down in a poorly ventilated cell despite his failing health at the tower street adult correctional centre as a form of apparent draconian style punishment.”

Fetty Wap’s Lawyer Speaks On Drug Charges, Says He Was “Desperate” Amid Financial Struggles

In a court filing earlier this week, Fetty Wap’s defense team spoke on the rapper’s motivation leading up to his alleged involvement with a drug ring. They cited his desperation to keep up with the financial obligations of himself and others as the cause for his involvement. The lawyers also went on to say the rapper is apologetic for his crimes, realizing that his actions were a mistake. His charges carry a minimum of five years in prison with a maximum of 40 years.

“What makes this case unusual is Mr. Maxwell’s motivation,” Fetty Wap’s lawyer said. “Personal gain was not his motivation. Rather, he was motivated by his commitment to financially support others. He now realizes that he does not have to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.” The lawyer continued, “Suddenly it felt like life was going in reverse and he became ashamed when he began to struggle to keep up the lifestyle that he created for so many.” He also claimed that “His judgment became impaired. Desperate to keep up with his financial obligations, Mr. Maxwell became involved in the instant offense for a few months in the spring of 2020.”

Fetty Wap was arrested in October 2021 on federal drug charges. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine in August. When the rapper was arrested, police recovered a myriad of illegal substances and weapons. This included 16 kilograms of cocaine, 2 kilograms of heroin, and fentanyl pills. Police also seized two 9mm handguns, a rifle, two .45 and .40 caliber pistols, ammunition, and $1.5 million in cash. He was also later labeled by prosecutors as “a kilogram-level redistributor for the trafficking organization.”

In a statement made by Michael J. Driscoll after the rapper’s arrest, he said, “The pipeline of drugs in this investigation ran thousands of miles from the West Coast to the communities here in our area.” He also added that it was “contributing to the addiction and overdose epidemic.”

Yo Gotti Puts Up Millions For 42 Dugg’s Freedom

Yo Gotti’s hoping to get 42 Dugg out of jail and he’s calling on the best attorneys possible to get the job done. The Detroit rapper recently called out the prison conditions and the treatment he’s faced from officers. During his 42nd birthday festivities, Yo Gotti stated that he’s willing to put up 7-figures to get him out. “I got 2 million for any lawyer that can get Dugg out early!!” he wrote on his Instagram page this week. “Thanks what I want for my birthday. #FreeDoggy.”

42 Dugg’s faced a handful of legal issues in recent times. Federal agents arrested the rapper after he failed to surrender for a sentence. However, in April, a judge handed down a one-year sentence after Dugg pled guilty to prison evasion. The rapper must also serve three years under supervised release, pay a $20,000 fine, and refrain from using illegal drugs. Hopefully, with help from Yo Gotti, Dugg will come home soon.

YSL RICO Public Defender Receives Pay Raise After Considering OnlyFans Career

The public defenders involved in the YSL RICO case may be working for millionaires like Young Thug, but that doesn’t mean they’re bringing in the big bucks themselves. At the beginning of the month, it was revealed that lawyers who signed on to the high-profile case were awarded a salary of just $15K for a case that’s anticipated to span at least a year. On top of the embarrassingly low income, attorneys are unable to work any other files at the time, rendering them essentially unable to bring in more income with their legal expertise.

At the time, legal representative Angela D’Williams spoke out about the situation in the media, revealing that she was considering selling adult content as a way to secure more money in this tough economy. “This case is slated to last for about a year, and if you were to do the math, it would be six dollars an hour,” she previously told WSB-TV. “I need something to survive off of. We were under the impression that GPDC was advocating for us, and once they put those walls up, I’m thinking I need to start an OnlyFans.”

Angela D’Williams Advocates for Higher Pay Amid YSL RICO Trial

According to the latest update, D’Williams won’t need to turn to OnlyFans after all. Thanks to the efforts of her and other lawyers working the YSL RICO trial, the GPDC has agreed to up their pay from a measly $15K salary to $55K, marking a substantial increase. While it’s certainly not the same amount Thugger was raking in in his prime, it’s enough to not have to begin a second career as a sex worker.

Things have only continued to grow messier in the Atlanta courtroom, with Young Thug taking two trips to the hospital in recent weeks. On top of that, we’ve also seen an attorney arrested, and another avoid jail time by purchasing chicken wings. Are you still keeping up with Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial? Let us know in the comments, and tap back in later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
