Recently, Ray J got to sit down with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay. It was here where Ray J spilled the beans on his interpersonal relationships and some of the situations he has dealt with over the years. During the interview, Sharpe asked if he could recall the moment he found out his sex tape had leaked. Instead of giving a serious answer, the artist said all he could remember was how it smelled. The artist was referring to Kim’s private parts, and the NSFW confession had him jokingly cowering behind Sharpe’s couch.
The singer subsequently hopped back over the couch and said that “it smelled good.” Sharpe didn’t really seem to understand what was happening, although it was all very humorous. Ray J is known for being an eccentric guy, and this interview was definitely a great example of this. There were many great tidbits throughout the talk, and it is yet another example of Club Shay Shay getting the rawest version of its guests.
Let us know what you thought of Ray J’s appearance on Club Shay Shay, in the comments section down below. Did you feel like this was the best platform for him to come on and talk about his past? Ray J is still relevant in 2024. The former R&B singer hasn’t scored a hit in over a decade, but he has continued to remain a cultural presence through interviews and reality TV shows. Why? Well, if you let Ray tell it, because he helped to create the pop culture world in which we currently live. Ray J recently went on Club Shay Shay, and he detailed the very specific ways in which his decisions back in the mid-2000s shaped the way that we consume media.
The bold declaration stemmed from the Kim Kardashian sex tape that was released in 2007. Club Shay Shay host Shannon Sharpe asked about the impact of the tape, and the “One Wish” singer didn’t mince words. “How different would we all be,” he asked in return. “How different would this whole f*cking thing be…How different would this industry be… Everything would be different.” The singer then went on to detail the ways in which pop culture would have differed. “There might not be any OnlyFans and all the things like that,” he posited. “All the opportunities like that… Probably more people would be going to college.”
Ray J Claims “Everything” Would Be Culturally Different
Ray J said the sex tape changed his career, but acknowledged that its impact was not entirely positive. “Are we a part of the cure or [are] we a part of the disease,” he wondered aloud. “I don’t know. All I know is I’m trying to make it right. Shannon Sharpe asked Ray J if he was embarrassed by the tape now, and he took a long pause before answering. “Yes,” Ray J admitted. “I have kids now… Everything I did now when we have kids is just totally different. The whole thing is wacky. With my kids it’s not ok.”
Ray is not the only person who feels as though the sex tape changed everything. Vince Staples has put forth a theory that the R&B singer is the most important person in pop culture over the last two decades. He had an entire GQ interview based around this theory in 2015. “Kim Kardashian is a great person, but Ray J does have a part in giving her such notoriety,” Staples posited. “Ray J is someone whos always in the mix. If you really think about everything thats going on today, Ray J is very, very good at making himself part of the conversation.”
Disney added yet another celebrity child to their casting ranks. This coming December, Blue Ivy Carter will co-star alongside her mother, Beyoncé, in Mufasa: The Lion King. Before the CGI-animated prequel hits theaters, lovers of The Lion King were treated to another musical dose of the classic film.
Yesterday (May 24), North West joined in on the fun as part of the film’s 30th anniversary show (Disney’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event) at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. In the role of Young Simba, West displayed both her acting and singing skills performing one of the movie’s breakout song, “I Just Can’t Wait to be King.”

In the sold-out crowd, West received support from both of her famous family, including dad Ye (better known as Kanye West), mother Kim Kardashian, and grandmother Kris Jenner. As she left the stage, Kim was waiting close by to embrace her daughter following her major accomplishment.
On Instagram, Kim continued the love by uploading images of the flower arrangement sent to West, along with custom cookies made with West’s face.
This is not West’s first venture into entertainment. Near the top of the year, she appeared on her father and Ty Dolla Sign’s song “Talking/Once Again.” However, West’s casting marked her debut musical role.
According to reports, for those who can’t catch the second performance today (May 25) starring North West, Jennifer Hudson, Heather Headley, Lebo M., Billy Eichner, Jason Weaver, and more, the special will air on Disney+. Find more information here.
Grand opening, grand closing. Just about two months after Kim Kardashian and Odell Beckham Jr. were considered to be getting serious, insiders next to the couple have revealed it has wrapped up.
Kardashian (43) and OBJ (31) decided that being platonic friends was better for them, highlighting that Kardashian is happy to focus on her family and career.
A previous insider stated, “Odell’s personality is much more private,” citing the star wide receiver is “low-key, while Kim’s more accustomed to the limelight.”
Over Grammy weekend, the two were spotted pulling up to JAY-Z’s party in the Hollywood Hills.
Kim Kardashian’s latest hairstyle has sparked some observers’ sense of déjà vu. Known for her ever-evolving style, the 43-year-old SKIMS founder showcased a fresh look on her Instagram, sporting a short pink haircut paired with an all-black ensemble.
However, the striking resemblance to her ex-husband Ye’s wife, 29-year-old Bianca Censori, hasn’t gone unnoticed. Social media users were quick to draw comparisons, pointing out similarities in lighting, background, expression, and the short hairstyle.
Despite their apparent similarities, Censori and Kardashian maintain a cordial relationship. They were recently photographed standing next to each other at Ye’s Vultures 2 listening party in San Francisco.
Meanwhile, recent events have brought Ye into the spotlight for a different reason. An LAPD investigation was initiated after the 46-year-old rapper allegedly punched an unidentified man who purportedly assaulted Censori at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
Ye provided his perspective on the incident during an interview with Justin Laboy for his podcast “The Download.” Describing the altercation, Ye recounted how he intervened after learning of the incident from his wife. Despite attempts to resolve the situation peacefully, Ye ultimately took matters into his own hands, ensuring the perpetrator left the premises.
Anyway, back to those Kim K-Bianca Censori comparisons. Here are the pics from Kim’s IG. You can be the judge.
Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram. As is almost always the case what she delivered left people talking though it wasn’t for any provocative reason this time. It had more to do with the fact that she debuted a new hair look. Sporting an otherwise all black and largely skin tight fit, her new pink hair pops out of the collection of pictures she shared. Anytime a celebrity as big as Kim K makes a fashion change it’s going to be big news and her new hair color was no different.
Fans piled into her comment section sharing their thoughts on the new look. That included some fellow celebs, like Khloe Kardashian, showing love. But it also included quite a few Kanye West fans attempting to bring up the rapper’s new wife Bianca Censori. “It’s giving kaynes gf if it was nude nylon” one comment reads. “I couldn’t tell if this was his ex wife or his current wife” another comment agrees. Since Censori isn’t particularly known for pink hair or the type of black fit Kardashian is sporting, it’s hard to see when West’s fans are talking about. Check out the post she shared and all the fan reactions in the comments below.
Much of the recent discussion of Kim has surrounded Taylor Swift. The second disc of Swift’s critically maligned new record The Tortured Poets Departmentfeatures a diss track aimed at Kardashian. Their beef was sort of inherited from a conflict Swift already had with Kanye West.
While Kim K hasn’t said much about Taylor at any point in the past few years, Swift continues to bring it up. The new song follows an award show speech last year that many claimed was directed at Kardashian. What do you think of Kim Kardashian’s new pink hair color? Do you think the most recent photo dump she posted to Instagram reminds you of Bianca Censori? Let us know in the comment section below.
Kim Kardashian is reportedly done with her and Kanye West’s feud with Taylor Swift following the release of the singer’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department. On the track, “thanK you aIMee,” Swift seemingly throws shade at Kardashian, accusing her of bullying, and reflects on healing from their beef. The capitalized letters in the title spell out “KIM.” “She’s over it and thinks Taylor should move on,” a source told PEOPLE. They added that Kardashian “doesn’t get why [Swift] keeps harping on it. It’s been literally years.”
On “thanK you aIMee,” Swift sings: “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed ‘F— you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’/ But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.” She also admits “I changed your name,” implying she’s not actually referring to someone with the name Aimee.

Kardashian and Swift’s feud stems from the release of Kanye West’s 2016 song, “Famous,” on which he raps: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b*tch famous.” Swift denied giving her blessing for the lyric, which prompted Kardashian to release edited footage of the phone call between West and Swift.
Taylor Swift Seemingly Disses Kim Kardashian
During Swift’s profile for TIME’s 2023 Person of the Year, she reflected on the incident. “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she said. “I moved to a foreign country, I didn’t leave a rental house for a year, I was afraid to get on phone calls, I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift on HotNewHipHop.
Earlier this week, reality star Kim Kardashian made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show. She was there primarily to discuss the season finale to the current American Horror Story anthology. She took on an acting role in the series and discussed some of her experiences and the upcoming finale while on the show. Additionally, the pair played a special game where Kim spoke on rumors about her that have allegedly been circulating for years.
Through the game she revealed all kinds of unique eccentricities about herself. She admitted that before putting on any metal jewelry or clothes she uses a blow dryer on it to heat it up. This is apparently because she doesn’t like the feeling of cold metal touching her skin. Similarly, she revealed she hates the sounds that cardboard makes dragging against other objects. Specifically, she makes her assistants remove the cardboard slip covers from her coffees to avoid having to hear the sound. She copped to even more strange things throughout the segment. Check out the full clip below.
Over the weekend, Kim Kardashian was at the center of the biggest, and perhaps only diss track to hit the pop music world so far in 2024. Taylor Swift has been feuding with the reality star for years now dating back to a 2016 beef that Kardashian inherited from Kanye West. Kim has been near silent on the beef for years but Taylor has brought it up repeatedly. She once again did so on a track from the deluxe edition of her new album The Tortured Poets Department.
She used playful capitalization on a song called “thanK you aIMee” to make sure fans knew just who the song was meant to be about. What do you think of Kim Kardashian confessing to various quirky behaviors? Do you think she purposefully tried to avoid the recent diss track Taylor Swift released about her? Let us know in the comment section below.
While receiving the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album on February 2, 2024, Taylor Swift announced her eleventh studio album. As expected, fans all over the world went berserk over the surprise announcement, and have eagerly awaited the album since. Then, on April 19, 2024, Taylor Swift finally dropped The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD), shocking fans again by delivering having a double album. Without a doubt, it is currently the biggest musical release of 2024.
Since the album dropped, it has accomplished some groundbreaking feats, and Swifties can’t get enough of it. They’ve also enjoyed deciphering many of the somewhat cryptic lines the singer included in most songs. Taylor Swift seemingly references several people throughout the songs on TTPD such as Jack Antonoff, Charlie Puth, Dylan Thomas, Patti Smith, and Stevie Nicks, among others, throughout the album. Here’s a list of people she references.
Taylor Swift and Matt Healy met in 2014, but it wasn’t until 2023 that they got romantically involved. The two dated for a while in 2023, but broke up in June of that year. Following the release of TTPD, many fans believe Taylor Swift indirectly refers to the 1975 frontman in some songs. She seemingly references Healy on “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys,” and “Down Bad,” where fans believe she sings about their breakup. This also happens in “The Black Dog,” “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart,” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” However, Taylor also sings about when she was head over heels for the singer on some tracks. She does so on “But Daddy I Love Him,” “Guilty As Sin?” and “LOML.”
“God save the most judgmental creeps who say they want what’s best for me / Sanctimoniously performing soliloquies I’ll never see / Thinking it can change the beat of my heart when he touches me,” Swift sings on “But Daddy I Love him.” Fans believe the lyrics are a response to the reproach she got for dating Healy after it was revealed he had made racist remarks and offensive jokes in the past.
Joe Alwyn
Before Matt Healy, Taylor Swift dated the British actor and heartthrob Joe Alwyn, and many Swifties thought the two would be endgame. However, they broke up in April 2023. Following the release of TTPD, many listeners believe that Taylor Swift references Alwyn and their breakup on a few songs. These include “So Long, London,” “Fresh Out the Slammer,” “LOML,” and “How Did It End?” Swifties believe “So Long, London” is a heartbreaking sequel to “London Boy” from Lover, which she also wrote about Alwyn. On “So Long, London,” she seemingly refers to Alwyn as “London,” saying goodbye to their romance.
On TTPD, Taylor Swift lovingly sings about Travis Kelce on the tracks in which she references him. After going through the motions of heartbreak, she moves on to a glowing new love on tracks like “The Alchemy” and “So High School.” Swift and Kelce have been dating since late 2023, and the fire of their romance seems to be burning brighter than ever. Many who have listened to TTPD are convinced that Taylor Swift wrote “The Alchemy” about Kelce.
For one thing, the song contains many football references. Also, it is one of the songs in which Swift does not reminisce but sings about a current lover. All evidence points to the song being about the football player she is madly in love with right now. She also briefly references Kelce on “Chloe or Sam or Sofia or Marcus.” On the track, she sings, “And you saw my bones out with somebody new / Who seemed like he would’ve bullied you in school.”
When fans saw the title of the track “thanK you aIMee,” they assumed it would be about Aimee Mann. However, the capitalized letters that spell out “KIM” eventually convinced them it was about Kim Kardashian. Taylor Swift never actually mentions Kim’s name on this TTPD track. However, from fans’ speculations, the message is pretty clear: the singer is not a fan of the Kardashian. “One day, your kid comes home singin’ a song that only us two is gonna know is about you,” one lyric states. “Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman / But she used to say she wished that you were dead,” Swift also sings.
Lucy Dacus
Lucy Dacus is a singer/songwriter, and a third of the Grammy-winning group Boygenius. On “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift sings, “Sometimes I wonder if you’re gonna screw this up with me / But you told Lucy you’d kill yourself if I ever leave.” Although Lucy’s last name isn’t mentioned on the song, fans believe Taylor is referencing the Boygenius member. Dacus was one of the opening acts for The Eras Tour. Due to their history, it’s very possible Dacus was the one Taylor Swift wrote about on the TTPD title track.
The Starting Line
Throughout TTPD, Taylor Swift namedrops a few people, and on “Black Dog,” she mentions The Starting Line. Matt Healy is a big fan of the pop-rock band, so Swift mentioning them is clearly a reference to her ex-lover. “When someone plays The Starting Line/ And you jump up, but she’s too young to know this song/ That was intertwined in the magic fabric of our dreaming,” Taylor Swift sings on “The Black Dog.”
Clara Bow
When Taylor Swift revealed the tracklist for TTPD, many fans were curious about who or what Clara Bow was. “You look like Clara Bow in this light,” Swift sings in the opening of the eponymous track. Clara Bow was an American actress, and if you’re unfamiliar with the name, there’s a reason why. The actress was a movie star in the silent film era, and she died in 1965. Her name isn’t one that comes up often in recent film discourse. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that young fans of Swift’s music didn’t know her before. However, they certainly do, now.
If anyone hasn’t heard yet, Taylor Swift recently released some new music. She dropped her new album The Tortured Poets Department over the weekend to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. Just a few hours after dropping her lengthy 16-track album, she had a surprise announcement. She revealed that the album was actually two albums with the second The Anthology adding an additional 15 tracks. It was within the tracklist of The Anthology where the song “thanK you aIMee” appears. From the specific capitalization in the title alone, fans could quickly tell the song was probably going to be about Kim Kardashian.
Kim K and Taylor have a beef that dates back to 2016 and was inherited from an already existing feud the pop star had with Kanye West. While Kim has been radio silent about the alleged beef for years, Taylor refuses to let it go. She’s brought up the reality star numerous times in the years since, though often in indirect ways. And on her new song, she once again takes aim. While many online criticized the track for feeling seemingly desperate to re-spark tensions, Swift’s own fanbase unsurprisingly went rabid for it. As a result, Kim’s social media has been swarming with Swifties for days.
According to TMZ, Kardashian has lost more than 100k Instagram followers since the song dropped. Despite the loss she still sits at an astonishing 363 million followers, compared to Swift’s 283 million. Her comments have also been flooded by devout Swifties with criticisms of the reality star. She’s not the only one who has been harassed by the fanbase. Paste Magazine published their review without a byline in an attempt to avoid Swiftie harassment. But that unfortunately ended up in the fanbase attacking an unrelated writer on Twitter.
What do you think of Taylor Swift once again dragging up old beef with Kim Kardashian? Do you think her fans are overreacting by unfollowing Kim in bulk and spamming her comments? Let us know in the comment section below.
