Usher And Keke Palmer Stir The Pot After Their Las Vegas Drama With A New ‘Boyfriend’ Video

In case you’ve managed to avoid all Keke Palmer news on your feed over the past month-plus: Palmer turned up to an Usher concert in Las Vegas on July 4, where the two got a bit cozy as Usher serenaded her. Darius Jackson, the father of Palmer’s son, didn’t care for that and criticized Palmer’s outfit.

That made the situation a whole thing online, and Palmer responded by saying she’s not paying the criticisms any mind. Usher later shared his perspective, calling the whole thing a “pop moment” that is “worth talking about.”

It didn’t end there, though: Yesterday, Usher teased a new video for a song called “Boyfriend,” and of course, Palmer stars in it. Now, the full visual has been unveiled.

Usher sings on the song’s chorus, “Somеbody said that your boyfriend’s lookin’ for me / Oh, that’s cool, that’s cool / Well he should know I’m pretty easy to find / Just look for me wherever he sees you / Somebody said that your boyfriend’s lookin’ for me / That’s cool / If he could find a way to get in your mind / Say he want me, that’s all he got to do.”

The new song and video quickly follows Usher’s last one, “Good Good” with Summer Walker and 21 Savage from earlier this month.

Somebody check on Keke Palmer’s boyfriend as she is set to get close to Usher again. The new connection from Keke and Usher is for the R&B legend’s new single and video, perfectly titled “Boyfriend.”

Usher finally spoke out regarding the recent viral incident involving KeKe Palmer during his Las Vegas residency. Last month, the internet was ablaze after KeKe Palmer’s baby daddy, Darius Jackson, took to social media to criticize Palmer’s choice of attire while attending Usher’s electrifying show in Las Vegas. Palmer found herself in the spotlight, and fans quickly took sides, sparking a spirited debate that enveloped the couple.

In a recent statement to People, Usher shed light on the incident, stating, “I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas. And that’s what I hope came out of it.” Usher emphasized the notion that the moment was ultimately about enjoying the vibrant Las Vegas atmosphere and the music.

Reflecting on the dynamics of his performances, Usher shared, “Every night I’m thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I’ll have with whoever I’m choosing to sing to. But it was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least conversation going and we just keep it light. I don’t see anything negative happening in Las Vegas.”

Usher also displayed his sense of humor by addressing a playful nickname bestowed upon him by fans, saying, “The internet is crazy. You can’t beat the internet.”

As Usher prepares to captivate audiences in Paris with a series of shows in Sept., he remains poised to continue his Las Vegas residency at the Park MGM’s Dolby Live in Oct.. The incident with KeKe Palmer, though sparking conversation, has not dampened Usher’s enthusiasm for delivering exhilarating performances and musical moments.

Keke Palmer & Usher Collaborating On “Boyfriend” Music Video After Sultry Las Vegas Serenade

Keke Palmer hasn’t formally addressed the status of her relationship with Darius Jackson after their public fallout earlier this summer. The new father was in his feelings after videos of his partner at Usher’s Las Vegas residency went viral online. Jackson quickly fired off a tweet shading the former child star’s sheer Givenchy dress. Before long, their personal business was all over social media. We saw the co-parents unfollow each other in the hours after everything went down. Some subliminal shots were also later thrown by both parties.

Knowing Palmer, it’s unlikely that she’ll tell the internet any more than they need to know about what went down between her and Leodis’ dad – at least not until she’s ready. For his part, Usher has been sharing his thoughts in recent interviews, but on Tuesday (August 15) we got further clarity when both artists announced that they’ll be dropping a new visual called “Boyfriend” tomorrow (August 16).

The 15-second teaser that’s been shared on Twitter and IG shows both the True Jackson VP star and the Houston native getting ready separately backstage. “I heard that your boyfriend’s looking for me,” Usher’s famous voice croons as Palmer confidently struts toward the camera. It’s unclear if we’ll hear any vocals from her following her Big Boss visual album on this single, but regardless, the internet is already certain she’ll eat up her starring role in the video.

“When fantasies become reality,” the father of four wrote in the caption of his promotional post this morning. After being labelled a “domestic terrorist” by some, Usher is now also being dubbed a “menace,” among other things, in his comments section. If you still aren’t quite sure who Keke Palmer’s baby daddy is, you can read everything that you need to know about Darius Jackson at the link below. Usher And Keke Palmer Are Really Leaning Into The Las Vegas Drama By Teasing A New Video Coming Soon

Trolls work hard to shut down stars online, but Keke Palmer works even harder to keep her peace of mind. On July 4, Palmer’s estranged boyfriend, Darius Jackson, fueled haters online when he blasted her for her clothing choice while attending Usher’s Las Vegas residency.

Quickly after, the multi-hyphenate entertainer declared she was “Stevie [Wonder] to the bullsh*t,” backlash she received from her wardrobe and her harmless dance with Usher onstage. Now, she is taking it up a notch. Palmer took to social media to reveal that she will be in Usher’s official video for his single “Boyfriend.”

In the record’s trailer, Palmer and Usher seemingly recreated their pre-stage moments as the pair dressed in the flyest pieces heading out for an epic evening. The track is sure to be a masterful clap-back not only to Jackson, with whom she shares a child.

Following weeks of online chatter, Usher finally addressed the moment with People on August 4. “I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas. And that’s what I hope came out of it. Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or a conversation about that song,” said Usher.

Last month KeKe Palmer went viral after her baby daddy, Darius Jackson, mom-shamed KeKe for wearing a revealing outfit to Usher’s Las Vegas residency. Keke was serenaded by Usher and fans picked sides until they forced a back and forth between the couple.
Now Usher finally addresses the viral moment.

People Reports:

“I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas. And that’s what I hope came out of it. Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or conversation about that song,” he says.

Adding, “Every night I’m thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I’ll have with whoever I’m choosing to sing to. He’s even embraced a nickname given to him by fans: the “Domestic Terrorist.” He jokes, “The internet is crazy. You can’t beat the internet.”

Usher will perform a series of shows in Paris in September before he kicks back up in Las Vegas at the Park MGM’s Dolby Live in October.

Usher Reflects On Keke Palmer & Darius Jackson Drama: “We Just Keep It Light”

They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but unfortunately, the age of social media makes that nearly impossible – especially for celebrities. While in Sin City several weeks ago, new mom Keke Palmer dropped by Usher’s residency in a stunning, sheer dress that showed off her naturally enhanced body. The R&B crooner picked the former child star as his guest of honour that evening, beautifully serenading Palmer as she grinned from ear to ear and soaked up every bit of his attention.

Before long, videos of the steamy moment began floating around social media. There, the Chicago native’s baby daddy, Darius Jackson, caught sight of them and quickly threw shade at Palmer for her outfit. What followed that was nothing short of chaos, and though the buzz has obviously since died down, Usher was still happy to share his thoughts on the situation during a new interview with PEOPLE. “I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas. And that’s what I hope came out of it,” he told the outlet.

Usher and Keke Palmer Couldn’t Quite Keep Their Antics in Vegas

“Every night I’m thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I’ll have with whoever I’m choosing to sing to. But it was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least a conversation going and we just keep it light. I don’t see anything negative happening in Las Vegas,” the Texas-born performer added. He also addressed those online calling him a “domestic terrorist” in good humour, saying, “The internet is [wild]. You can’t beat the internet.”

Elsewhere in his discussion with PEOPLE, Usher spoke plenty about his new collaboration with 21 Sav and Summer Walker, “Good Good.” If you haven’t heard that yet, tap in at the link below. For more HNHH release recommendations, you can find our weekly Fire Emoji playlist update here.
