It’s been nearly a year since Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian pulled the plug on their surprising age-gap romance. Now, we’re finally watching all the drama unfold during the third season of the socialite’s Hulu reality series. While she doesn’t reveal exactly what led up to her and the comedian going their separate ways, Kim does make it known that her ex-husband, Kanye West, definitely had a hand in the split.
“Breakups are just not my thing,” the mother of four ranted to little sister Khloé Kardashian and longtime friend Scott Disick during a recent episode. “I’m just proud of myself. We had talks and talks. We had been talking about it. It was both of us just communicating really well about it. It’s obviously sad. Nine months is a long time. I don’t have random hook-ups and relationships,” Kim added, revealing that she and Davidson put no shortage of effort into making things between them work.

Of the tumultuous period the New Yorker spent being berated by Kanye West online, Kardashian says she felt “a lot of guilt.” She further acknowledged, “Pete went through a lot because of my relationship.” Though she recently said that she’s ready to get back on the market, the 42-year-old noted elsewhere on The Kardashians that she’s still waiting to find someone who can put up with the drama that comes along with her life.
“I go back and forth in my feelings sometimes, like, ‘Oh my God, who’s going to want to deal with the (drama)?’” the SKIMS founder pondered. “But my person will be like, ‘F*ck all that. Earlier this year, it was Kanye West’s giant black boots that caused social media users to poke fun at the 45-year-old. Granted, they eventually became trendy thanks to MSCHF’s Big Red Boots, but now, Ye is proving that he’s already on to the next big things with his latest fashion choices. He’s been showing off his curves in so-called “yeggings” over the past few weeks alongside his new wife, Bianca Censori. Apart from that, we’ve also seen the couple in “sock shoes,” which are quite the opposite of his winter attire.
Earlier in the week, West stepped out with the Australian architect in their questionable outfits, causing photos and reactions to go viral online. For the most part, users have been comparing him to a Roblox character due to the larger-than-life shoulder pads he’s been rocking on a regular basis. Regardless of what the haters have to say, however, the Yeezy founder continues to keep all eyes on him with his bold looks. On Friday (May 26), he was joined by his two eldest children, North and Saint West, for a trip to the Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles.

For the outing, the father of four donned a black t-shirt reading “Polizei,” or “police” in German on the front, his shoulders obviously emphasized. He stayed comfortable in a pair of sweatpants, once again opting to forego normal footwear in favour of his new favourite sock shoes. Ye’s offspring also looked comfortable, wearing Yeezy shirts and shoes with their cloth shorts.
It remains unclear what the Atlanta-born lyricist is planning with his daring decisions as of late, though his ex Kim Kardashian has made it clear that she thinks his antics will have more of a long-term impact on their kids than her past sex tape with Ray-J. For as much as Kanye West has declared himself a fashionable human being, he sure gets photographed wearing some of the most ridiculous outfits pretty often. Earlier this week, Kanye was photographed on what the New York Post called an “ice cream date” with his “wife” Bianca Censori. While his blue, sock-like Yeezy shoes were no surprise for fans, his latest accessory was the real eyebrow-raiser. Under a relatively standard-looking black tee shirt reading “Polizei,” the German word for “police” (a bad look, considering the past year for him), Kanye donned what appeared to be football shoulder pads underneath.
Naturally, fans on Twitter had a field day with the unusual outfit, wondering “What is he wearing?” — and perhaps more importantly, “Why is he wearing shoulder pads?”

Perhaps equally confusing, though, was the question of just what message he was trying to send with that shirt. After all, this was the guy who, just a few months ago, was fired from deals with both Adidas and Gap for espousing antisemitic views in multiple interviews. And let’s not forget Black Americans’ experiences with police over just the last few years (let’s stop at 100, or we’ll be here all day). It sure looks like Kanye’s either still trying to troll his way out of trouble — either that or whatever sense of self-awareness he had, to begin with, is gone forever.

In the season premiere of The Kardashians, which is streaming today on Hulu, Kim Kardashian addresses her ex-husband Kanye West’s self-destructive behavior, comparing the backlash to the one she endured over her sex tape. According to Complex, while Kardashian doesn’t specifically cite Kanye’s recent run of antisemitic comments, she does take the opportunity to refute his remarks about her sex tape and rumors that she cheated on him with Drake.
“There’s been a lot going on with Kanye right now and things are going on in the media radio shows and interviews,” she says. “But even just how he looks so down on me for, like, my tape and brings it up all over town, all over the media. Like, thanks for reminding people once again. All of his shenanigans — I don’t even know what the fuck to call it — is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be. And I have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that and I know that is the best thing for them.”

Last night, The Kardashians returned with more drama for the season three premiere. During the latest episode, Kim Kardashian broke down about dealing with her ex-husband Kanye’s antics last summer when she was dating Pete Davidson. In particular, when Kanye leaked Kim’s texts on Instagram and ranted about Kim’s sex tape and new boyfriend.
“I spent my whole morning having an anxiety attack, I felt like I just couldn’t breathe all day,” Kim sad in the episode, according to Too Fab. “You know when you’re just on the verge of tears and it feels like your throat, like you’re about to cry? That’s how I felt all day. Even through all the craziness of everything Kanye says about us, I never comment, I never post, he has made up the most insane narrative about you and the tape and we stay silent through all the lies, all the stuff.”
She continued, “Even how he looks so down on me for my tape and brings it up all over town, all over the media, thanks for reminding people once again. All his shenanigans are going to be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be and I have to sit here and not say anything ever because I know one day my kids will appreciate that and I know that’s the best thing for them.”
Following their divorce last November, Kanye apologized to Kim for the stress he caused her during those trying times in an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America. Ye has since moved on, marrying Yeezy designer Bianca Censori earlier this year.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Adidas decided on a plan to sell the remaining Yeezy inventory after notoriously parting ways with Kanye West. However, the rapper is still in trouble — with Gap. In October, the company removed Yeezy products from its stores and shut down the Yeezy Gap website.
It looks like things are still not settled. According to TMZ, Gap has a $2 million lawsuit against West. Gap is being sued by Art City Center, who claim to own a building in Los Angeles that Gap leased as a storefront for Yeezy Gap products. Art City Center allege that unapproved alterations transpired at the property in 2021 and 2022 and are suing to restore the premises. As a result, Gap is apparently suing West.
Upon terminating their partnership with West, Gap representatives wrote in an official statement, “Our former partner’s recent remarks and behavior further underscore why we are taking immediate steps to remove Yeezy Gap product from our stores and we have shut down [the Yeezy Gap site]. Antisemitism, racism, and hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordance with our values. On behalf of our customers, employees, and shareholders, we are partnering with organizations that combat hate and discrimination.”
