Nearly every femcee standing centre stage in the rap game right now has collaborated with the fashion world in some capacity. However, few of them are making bold statements with their outfits the way Cardi B has since her come-up. Interestingly, her “MotorSport” collaborator Nicki Minaj seems to think the New Yorker is taking one too many pages from her book. For her latest transformation, Bardi swapped out her signature jet black hair for a long, platinum blonde wig, which she paired with a stunning white fur coat to film a clip for Instagram earlier this weekend.

Before long, the Barbz and even Minaj pointed out that the Queen of Rap previously stepped out in a similar style. “B**ches Jackin. I’m still Queenin,” she wrote in her caption on Saturday (December 23). In both photos, the mother of one’s hair sits in a shoulder-length 613 style, bringing out the golden tones in her complexion more than usual. Of course, Nicki isn’t the first lyricist to style herself like this either, but her fans seem to enjoy stressing Cardi out by drawing comparisons between the two women.

On Saturday (December 2), an abundance of our favourite stars were in Los Angeles for the Fall 24 runway presentation, including Sexyy Red, Kim Kardashian, Teyana Taylor, Salma Hayek, and Tracee Ellis Ross. Holding things down for the gentleman in the vicinity were the “Bandz A Make Her Dance” collaborators, who had the opportunity to sit in the front row.

From their prestigious spot, Chainz and Weezy were able to cheer on Cardi B as she made her runway debut. While seeing new fashion is always exciting, many social media users were shocked to see Balenciaga getting so much public support after being cancelled for endangering children just months ago. The brand released a campaign photographing underage people holding BDSM-clad teddy bears, much to the public’s shock and disgust. In the time afterward, it seemed as though the foreign company was done for good, but obviously, the opposite is true. Cardi B is often credited as one of the most fashion-forward entertainers in rap music. The “Bongos” rapper’s sartorial skills have landed her on the cover of several major fashion magazines and front row at countless designer collection previews. Now she’s taking things even further: On Saturday, December 2, Cardi made her debut as a runway model.

Fashion house Balenciaga held an outdoor show in Hollywood, California, to display their Fall 2024 collection. Cardi appeared in the show sporting the brand’s floor-length royal blue faux fur off-shoulder coat. Cardi’s look was paired with a diamond Cuban chain containing a Balenciaga initial clasp necklace and name ring.

In September 2020, Cardi was featured in the brand’s campaign. So walking in their show was a full-circle moment for her.

Fellow musicians Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Tinashe, Sexyy Red, and more attended the show.

Last year, many of Balenciaga’s celebrity brand ambassadors, including Kim Kardashian, distanced themselves from the company after their holiday advertisement campaign, which featured children in provocative situations, sparked outrage. However, like several others, Kardashian has since recounted with the high fashion company.

The Grammy Award winner has long had a relationship with the fashion house, despite them being cancelled in recent years for questionable treatment of children during photoshoots, among other things. Moreover, he is going to be performing at the Super Bowl in February, which is going to be a whole lot of fun. At this point in his career, he is getting his flowers, and it is truly nice to see. With the excitement for his Super Bowl performance mounting, it feels like we have seen a bit more of him recently. For instance, he was at a Balenciaga Fashion show this past weekend.

Unfortunately, Usher was utterly roasted for his choice of attire for the show. As you can see in the Instagram post below, the singer was wearing a face mask that had randomly cut holes all the way throughout. He also had on some wild boots, some crazy pants, a blazer, and what appeared to be a turtleneck.
