Travis Scott And Ty Dolla Sign Fuel Kanye West Album Rumors On IG

Kanye West is as enigmatic as they come. He also overshares. The legendary artist doesn’t go for the mysterious route the way that Playboi Carti or Frank Ocean does. Rather, he confounds expectations because he seems to change his mind at the drop of a dime. Entire Wikis have been dedicated to all of the Kanye West albums that have been made and shelved over the years. He has as many unreleased albums as released ones, at this point. Because of this, a Kanye West album is always an event. And it seems like a new one might be coming soon. Travis Scott and Ty Dolla Sign seemingly think so.

Kanye West teased a new single called “Preacher Man” via Instagram on September 23. The very next day, producer Digital Nas shared a text in which West claimed to be in “art studio mode.” Then, the IG post started receiving comments from artists in the rapper’s circle. “There he is,” Ty Dolla Sign wrote underneath the video of West chopping a soul sample. Travis Scott responded, weirdly, with the same comment as Ty. Only he emphasized the word “he” in his. “There HE is,” the Houston rapper asserted. Confused? So are we. Fans have been trying to unpack what these two comments could mean, or why Scott slightly tweaked the emphasis of Ty Dolla Sign’s comment.

Travis Scott And Ty Have Also Teased New Music

This is not the first time Travis Scott and Ty Dolla Sign have teased new music in recent weeks. The former told Cultured Magazine that he was back in “album mode” and working on new songs during his tour. “I can see the music for what it is,” he told the outlet. “I’m f*cking amped.” Scott and Kanye West have not had the smoothest relationship over the last few years, but it seems as though the two have mended fences. Scott even brought West out during the Orlando leg of his UTOPIA tour.

Ty Dolla Sign, on the other hand, is working to complete his trilogy with Kanye West. The two have yet to release VULTURES 3, after the messy rollout for VULTURES 2 stretched on for weeks. Some questioned if it would ever see the light of day, but Ty Dolla Sign confirmed that it’s real and it’s coming soon. “V3 bouta rip heads off,” he wrote on Instagram. Given how close Kanye West is with both artists, it’s safe to assume they have an inside line to what he’s working on. We can only hope that the context of their IG comments come to light soon, and that West decides to bless us with his “art studio mode” as soon as possible.

Kanye West Claims He’s Going Into “Art Studio Mode” In Leaked Texts

Kanye West has got something cooking up. It seems like the rapper/producer always has new music in the works. That said, he has a renewed focus that fans haven’t glimpsed in years. West has been in a chaotic head space throughout the 2020s. Even the most ardent Ye Stan has to admit that his recent output pales in comparison to the decade plus that came before it. Thankfully, the artist seems to have realized this. A screenshot of a text conversation has surfaced online. It suggests that West is focused on making a new masterpiece.

The text exchange was posted by producer Digital Nas. It appears as though the two artists were sending records back and forth to each other. “F*cking insane bro,” Digital Nas says in reference to something Kanye West sent him. “I’m having chills rn listening.” The producer then urges West to clear whatever he needs to in order to get said song on streaming platforms. “Run that single thru the label system it’s outta here.” This exchange would be more than enough to elicit excitement from fans. It’s what Kanye West said in response, though, that proved most exciting.

Kanye West Has Been Sending Music To Digital Nas

“I’m going into my full Ye art studio mode,” he told Digital Nas. This statement is music to the ears of any self-proclaimed hip hop fan. The last time Kanye West spoke so candidly about being locked in, he went on to make My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The artist had his back against the wall due to the Taylor Swift controversy, and proceeded to make what many consider the best hip hop album of all time. It’s an unfair expectation to assume West has another Twisted Fantasy caliber release within him. The album is a decade and a half old. West has also been put through the ringer, physically and mentally, since then.

Let’s focus on the positive, though. Kanye West recently previewed a new single titled “Preacher Man” on Instagram and it sounds incredible. The beat harkens back to his soul chopping days. If he manages to lock in, and dispel with all of the drama that has hampered the VULTURES albums, fans could get an album of the year candidate. It’s obvious people in West’s circle, like Digital Nas and Ty Dolla Sign, are excited by what they’ve heard. Let’s hope we get to hear it sooner rather than later.

Kanye West Shares IG Snippet Of Soulful New Single “Preacher Man”

Kanye West needs a comeback. Not a 2010, said a mean comment about Taylor Swift comeback, either. The rapper has fallen off musically in addition to the controversy that he’s generated in recent years. He needs to refocus, and prove to the fans that he still has what it takes to drop meaningful music. Which is why the snippet he dropped on September 23 was so encouraging. Kanye West uploaded a video of him chopping up a previously unreleased beat with the caption “Producer Man.” The beat in question is said to be for West’s upcoming single, “Preacher Man.”

Few producers have displayed more mastery over the soul chop than Kanye West. He pioneered the Chipmunk Soul sound in the early 2000s, and has proven adept at pretty much every style of hip hop that’s ever existed. The beat for “Preacher Man” seemingly brings things back to basics. Kanye West chops up an R&B sample using a keyboard. His face isn’t visible in the video, but the camera is fixed on his hands as he works the keys. The sample source is hard to make out, but the catchiness of the chop is undeniable.

The Instagram teaser is the latest in a string of encouraging signs regarding Kanye West’s new direction. It was alleged that the rapper was pleased with the reception to his recent performance in Korea. He was so inspired, in fact, that he reportedly decided to start work on a new album. He teased “Preacher Man” as a new single a few weeks later. It’s worth noting that Kanye West has yet to drop the third part in his VULTURES trilogy with Ty Dolla Sign. The rollout for the first two have been absolute disasters, from an artistic and PR standpoint.

That said, Ty Dolla Sign recently confirmed that VULTURES 3 is on the way. The R&B singer took to IG on announce that “V3 bouta rip heads off.” One can only hope that more care and time is put into the album than its predecessors. Kanye West hasn’t commented on the status of the upcoming VULTURES 3 or the rumored solo album, but the fact that he’s putting focused effort into “Preacher Man” as a new song is a sign that things are moving in a positive direction. Kanye West Fan Appears To Leak “GUN TO MY HEAD” With Kid Cudi Onto Spotify

It seems that once again Kanye West is dealing with another leak. At least that’s what it looks like to us. On X (formerly Twitter), there’s a single tweet from a user by the name of MikeyPy_ who has an allegedly real Spotify link to a prized collaboration. It is Kid Cudi, Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign’s “GUN TO MY HEAD”, which was included as a deluxe track for VULTURES 2. When you click on it, it takes you to the 2:16 track and it has over 19,000 plays. For a track this coveted by fans, the streaming numbers are way too low. Where there appears to be some possible accuracy here is when it was released.

Kanye West put out “GUN TO MY HEAD”, “BELIEVER”, and “DRUNK” on the YZY website on August 8 and made them available to buy up until midnight or August 9. When you look at it that way, that Spotify drop date kind of makes sense. What also makes this potentially true is that it was released under YZY and has the official accounts of Kid Cudi and ¥$ attached to it instead of some random user on the Spotify platform. In that same breath, it doesn’t make sense as to why we are just getting this allegedly true announcement today.

There was already some confusion surrounding “GUN TO MY HEAD”, especially on Kid Cudi’s side. The on-and-off collaborator of Ye’s found out via a Twitter Q&A with fans in late August and was visibly shocked. After talking about it for a little bit back and forth, Cudi said he was going to discuss the possibility with Kanye about getting it on DSPs. Maybe this supposed leak is the result of that? No one really knows, as we are extremely skeptical overall.

Kanye West Accused By Redditors Of Egregious AI Use On “VULTURES 2”

You could make a very good argument that Kanye West (unfortunately) is starting to lose that creative magic he once possessed for so long. Overall, you’re not going to find many hip-hop fans who feel that rapper, singer, and producer had a mediocre record from 2004-2021. However, the conversation surrounding his VULTURES era is vastly different. Yes, there are going to be some way too loyal Ye stans who swear that his last two projects have been good. But in general, both entries into this unfinished trilogy are a far cry from his previous efforts. Many have been fed up with how messy and lifeless the tracks are on them, and diligent Redditors claim to have one major reason as to why.

After receiving VULTURES 2, some listeners felt there was some use of AI, particularly on “SKY CITY” with CyHi’s verse. Users on the forum are claiming that there’s hardly any doubt that these suspicions are true. However, they feel Kanye didn’t stop there. Other tracks include “FIELD TRIP”, citing “rough punch-in vocals of him doing lines Ty Dolla $ign did on the full CDQ leak” as the source. Furthermore, “FOREVER”, which was recently updated with a new Ye verse, sounds off in the cadence and flow department. For this one, they claim to have the exact AI model that was utilized.

Finally, Redditors also feel that they have evidence for a recent unreleased Skepta and Kanye collab. As it stands, contributors are pretty positive that “SKY CITY”, “FOREVER”, and the Skepta track are “almost certainly” containing AI. Then, “FIELD TRIP” and the highly sought after Childish Gambino cut, “Say Less”, are “speculated to be containing AI vocals. Overall, commenters are pretty disappointed as they think that his best days are gone and are missing “the old Kanye”.

Kanye West Teases New Single “Preacher Man” From Upcoming Album

Kanye West is at all-time low when it comes to musical output. VULTURES 1 and VULTURES 2 are the consensus picks for worst albums of his career. The rapper has clearly lost the plot with regards to his musical focus, resulting in albums that were pieced together seemingly in real time. That said, West has seemingly regained focus in recent months. Since VULTURES 2, the rapper has played a well-received show in Korea. He also performed in China. And now he’s hinting at the release of a brand new single called “Preacher Man.”

Kanye West performed “Preacher Man” during the Korean show, and he reposted an image from the show on his Instagram. He also dropped the title of the song in the caption, suggesting that fans will get a chance to hear a CDQ version of the song in the near future. That’s the best case scenario, at least. Ye has become a model of inconsistency when it comes to sticking to a plan. That said, “Preacher Man” is a promising sound for a new album. The production is wistful and stripped down. A single vocal sample is the basis of the whole instrumental.

Then there’s the rapping. Kanye West has not had the strongest pen game over the last decade, despite harnessing the talents of multiple songwriters. Conversely, West is rapping clearly and coherently on “Preacher Man.” It’s a surprise to hear, albeit a nice one.

Kanye West is rumored to be working on a new solo album. While the jury is still out on VULTURES 3, the Channel Candy CEO claimed that the rapper was pleased with the reception to his Korean concert. West is reportedly channeling this newfound inspiration into a fresh body of work. We can only hope it comes together more smoothly and seamlessly than we we’ve gotten from the rapper since, well, 2018. Azealia Banks Accuses Kanye West Of Beating His Wife In Twitter Rant

Azealia Banks will say just about anything. She says it with conviction, and has torched a few dozen celebrities in the past as a result. She’s also been on the wrong side of Twitter beef, and been called out for problematic behavior. It subsequently makes it difficult to determine when she’s telling the truth or not. Azealia Banks had an absolute explosive Twitter rant on September 11. She went after a number of targets, but the most shocking accusations were leveled at Kanye West. Banks stated, as though she knows for a fact, that West physically abuses his wife, Bianca Censori.

The whole rant took place in the early hours of the morning. Azealia Banks posted a screenshot of a termination notice issued to Milo Yiannopoulos. Yiannopoulos previously worked for West, but has been increasingly vocal about his opposition towards the rapper’s various antics. Azealia Banks laid into the controversial Yiannopoulos, calling him names and making bold assertions about his personal life. It’s when the focus shifted to Kanye West, though, that the rest of Twitter locked in.

Azealia Banks claimed that the former Ye employee had implicit knowledge of the domestic abuse going on behind closed doors. “Tell the world about how Kanye is Beating up Bianca Censori,” she wrote. “And how he threw a chair at northwest the other day big mouth.” Banks didn’t provide context, as she was too busy throwing out other accusations, but this bold claim definitely stood out. Kanye West has never been formally accused of domestic abuse, but he has been attacked for perceived “emotional abuse” towards Censori in the past. Yahoo! News ran an entire article on the public backlash to Censori’s appearances in public, and how the rapper treats her like a “piece of meat.”

As was previously stated, though, Azealia Banks is not a reliable source. She also has criticized Kanye West for years. She dubbed the rapper a “fat smelly loser” when he was beefing with Nicki Minaj in 2023. Banks also roasted West’s album Donda on Instagram Live in 2021. “Two f*cking years,” she noted. “To drop this redundant sh*t? Gosh. Is this a Kanye West record or what?” It’s unlikely there will be a follow up on Banks or West’s part regarding the allegations, but they are admittedly alarming.

Kanye West Shared A Performance Clip And Tyler The Creator Is Seemingly Baffled By The Backing Track Usage

Rather than straight-up concerts, lately, Kanye West has been hosting events that are more like listening parties, where his music plays and he himself isn’t rapping. Last night (September 9), Ye shared a clip from one of these performances, in South Korea on August 23, on his Instagram, and it drew the attention of Tyler The Creator.

Tyler seemed perhaps confused or frustrated about what’s going on, as he commented on the post (as HotNewHipHop notes), “n**** u was right there just say the words!!!!!!!! [heart-eyes emojis].”

The event itself seemed pretty comprehensive, though. As setlist.fm notes, songs from West and Ty Dolla Sign’s Vultures albums were played from their studio versions, but then West performed 54 of his own songs.

There was some speculation in 2023 that Tyler had dissed Ye on “Stuntman” from Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale. Tyler explained at the time, though, “I’ve seen fans saying on the last verse of ‘Stuntman,’ people were like, ‘Oh, he’s talking about Kanye!.’ And I’m like, ‘You guys are f*cking stupid and have terrible comprehension skills.’ I would never disrespect — like, no, I love that n****. That is not about him. It’s actually about the rest of the world.”

Tyler, The Creator Calls Out Kanye West For Using Backing Tracks In Concert

Tyler, The Creator and Kanye West admire each other’s music. They’ve collaborated multiple times over the last decade. The former has cited West as a major musical influence on several occasions. Tyler will speak his mind when something annoys him, though. Kanye West posted footage of him performing the track “On Sight” during his recent concert in Korea, and Tyler, The Creator took to the comment section with some feedback. He wasn’t mean about it, but he did make it clear to West and the fans that he was annoyed with what he saw.

First, the footage. Kanye West is clearly letting the backing tracks do most of the work during the show. “On Sight” is a high energy song, but the rapper seems pretty laid back and content to just vibe out while the crowd sings along. Tyler, The Creator wasn’t thrilled. He left a comment on West’s page calling him out for being lazy on stage. “N**ga u was right there,” Tyler wrote. “Just say the words!!!!” He tried to take some of the sting out of his critique by throwing a few heart eye emojis, but his point stood.

Tyler, The Creator may have songs with Kanye West, but he’s been accused of dissing the rapper in the past. Tyler, The Creator clarified this misconception during an interview with Rap Radar. “[People] have terrible comprehension skills,” he told the podcast hosts. “I would never diss—like, no, I love that n**ga. And that is not about him. It’s actually about the rest of the world.”

Kanye West has reciprocated the positive energy. He praised Tyler, The Creator’s fashion sense as far back as 2013. “[He’s an] artist, innovator, and a good mentor,” West told 97.1 AMP Radio. “Because he’s so talented and understands things.” It goes without saying that Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator are very different people than they were in 2013 (especially West), but mutual admiration still seems strong. Star Boy Refuses To Clear Samples For Destroy Lonely And Kanye West Collabs

Star Boy may not be a household name, but the producer is on the rise. He’s worked with several notable artists this decade, including Ken Carson and Lil Uzi Vert. His production style is so enticing that massive names like Destroy Lonely and Kanye West have reportedly booked sessions with him. Unfortunately, for both artists, Star Boy has decided to draw a line in the sand. The producer announced that he will not be clearing the sample for his anticipated Destroy Lonely collab “Holding It Down.”

Destroy Lonely previewed “Holding It Down” back in May. The rapper told fans that he wanted to put it on the second version of his new album, Love Lasts Forever. The second version is now available on the rapper’s personal site, but the song is nowhere to be found. Lonely even took to Twitter to explain why the song was omitted. “‘Holding It Down’ going on streaming,” he explained. “We waiting on Star Boy to clear the track blow him up.” The plea for fan assistance didn’t pan out, though. Star Boy went on IG and stated, definitively, that he wasn’t clearing anything. “I ain’t clearing sh*t,” he wrote.

Star Boy Refuses To Clear ‘Ungodly’ Song Lyrics

Fans were confused by the harshness of Star Boy’s words. There was some confusion as to whether there was beef between the producer and Destroy Lonely, or whether the two men had a falling out after recording the song. Apparently, Star Boy had a change of heart. He posted a follow up on Instagram, and explained that he will not be clearing songs he considers to be against his beliefs. “Not clearing anything ungodly,” he wrote. “For no amount of money.” Kanye West then caught a stray, when Star Boy said the same rules applied to him. “I ain’t clear @Ye sh*t either,” he added. “No one getting swag.”

Star Boy’s sudden line in the sand is surprising, given his production history. He’s lent his talents to songs with plenty of “ungodly” messages in the past. He has multiple credits on Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red, as well as Ken Carson’s A Great Chaos. Star Boy has also worked with artists who have done and said controversial things in the past, like West and DaBaby. Regardless of the reasoning, it appears as though Destroy Lonely fans are going to deprived of “Holding It Down” for the near future.
