Joe Biden Campaign Reportedly Tests Kamala Harris’ Odds Against Donald Trump With Secret Survey

Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s first debate was concerning, to say the least, and left many voters questioning whether or not the current U.S. President is fit for another term. As a result, there have been countless demands for a switch up to the Democratic ticket. Of course, Vice President Kamala Harris would be the easiest replacement, though it was previously unclear how she might perform against Trump.

Now, The New York Times reports that the Biden-Harris campaign has been quietly conducting a survey to figure this out, according to three unnamed sources. They also added that some of the president’s top aides are skeptical of her ability to outperform Biden and are wary of putting any faith in hypothetical polling. It’s unclear at the time of writing what the campaign plans to do with its purported findings, whether it be to prove that Biden is still the strongest option or the opposite.

White House Spokesperson Denies Secret Survey Reports

Andrew Bates, a White House spokesperson, denies reports of a secret survey. “Unequivocally, this is not true,” he told PEOPLE. “President Biden’s team is strongly behind him.” The reports arrive shortly after NBC News chatted with three individuals “directly involved” in his campaign efforts, who claimed that the debate fallout has shaken their confidence. “He needs to drop out,” one of them explained, “He will never recover from this.” Another said, “No one involved in the effort thinks he has a path.”

“The question for me, and a lot of us, is: Who is the best person to beat Donald Trump?” someone else asked at the time. “There are a lot of us that are true blue that are questioning our initial thoughts on that.” Again, Biden campaign spokesman TJ Ducklo shut down these reports, insisting that the president’s team stands behind him. What do you think of reports that the Biden-Harris campaign has been conducting a secret survey to determine how well Harris would perform against Donald Trump? Kendrick Lamar Quoted By Kamala Harris At BET Awards & Wins Best Male Hip-Hop Artist

Kendrick Lamar hasn’t dropped an album in two years, he’s dropped very few features and very few singles… and yet a rap battle took him to the top. Moreover, he recently won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the 2024 BET Awards last night (Sunday, June 30) and got some additional shoutouts. The ceremony’s host, Taraji P. Henson, parodied the smash hit Drake diss “Not Like Us” at the very start of it, and even U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris quoted the song in a Joe Biden presidential campaign ad with Henson during the show. “The majority of us believe in freedom and equality. But these extremists, as they say, they not like us,” Harris remarked.

Overall, it’s a pretty curious homage while Kendrick Lamar’s beef ally Rick Ross faces the consequences of playing with Drake in his country. Award shows aren’t the definitive authority on the culture, but this certainly carries a bit more contextual weight than, say, the Grammys… someone go hand him one right now. Whether or not you think the Compton lyricist deserves this award with his limited material, he’s certainly earned it. As the perceived victor of the biggest pop culture event to happen in rap music in recent memory, it’s understandable that his dominance and astonishments took him far in this regard, and that political powers would want to capitalize on the moment and attempt to curry favor with audiences they often neglect with their policies.

Kamala Harris Quotes Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

Elsewhere, Kendrick Lamar fans instead focused these days on his other Drake diss “6:16 In LA,” which got some very interesting recent theories. But “Not Like Us” continues to captivate and electrify. Of course, K.Dot has some more work to do with this beef, namely the Compton music video for this track that should drop any day now. Hopefully that’s his last move and he moves onto his next endeavor.

Meanwhile, Drake is still referencing the beef in trolling, mostly cheeky ways, but they don’t remove the shroud of bitterness and insecurity that many fans perceive. It’s clear that the whole Kendrick Lamar situation got to his head. Still, he just released new summer bops with Camila Cabello, so we’ll be right back to our regularly scheduled program in no time. Nevertheless, congrats to Kendrick on his BET dubs: he has the most wins in the Best Male Hip-Hop Artist category and nabbed it for the third year in a row in 2024.

Quavo & Kamala Harris To Discuss Gun Violence & Reform At Summit In Takeoff’s Memory

Quavo has already done a lot to honor Takeoff’s legacy and start conversations around gun violence prevention in the United States, but the work is not done. Moreover, he will speak to U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris about firearm reform and violence prevention at his inaugural Rocket Summit Foundation. Atlanta will host this event on Tuesday (June 18), and the event in honor of the late former Migo will take place on what would’ve been his 30th birthday. According to Variety, Harris and Quay’s fireside sit-down will “discuss the methods and approaches that must be taken to decrease gun violence and protect communities.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that VP Kamala Harris would be speaking to Quavo. Last September, the Georgia rapper went with his mother and Takeoff’s mother to the White House to meet with her for the first time and kickstart these conversations between these parties. With this Rocket Foundation Summit, it seems like he is pushing for these discussions even more, and hopefully continues to do so. After all, the “Mink” MC has a massive platform through which folks can connect, and he will always want to tribute his nephew.

“I feel like your calling comes at the least expected times,” Quavo told the Associated Press after his first meeting with VP Kamala Harris. “You don’t think nothing is going to happen. I need to step up to the plate and hit a home run. I have to do something about it, so it won’t happen to the masses. Especially in our culture. I don’t want this to happen to the next person. I want to knock down these percentages.

We need to do better with the control of guns,” Quavo continued. “We need to figure out how do we keep these types of incidents from happening to people going anywhere and thinking they can hurt somebody where it shouldn’t happen.”

Jermaine Dupri Claims To Have Talked With VP Kamala Harris About Freaknik

Jermaine Dupri and Kamala Harris spoke with one another about Freaknik? That is what the record producer and hip-hop mogul claims to have happened recently via an Instagram post. According to AllHipHop, the North Carolina-born rap figure met up with the Democrat mostly because she was beginning to launch her nationwide Economic Opportunity Tour. Kamala was heading to Georgia specifically for this campaign. Additionally, the trip down South was also for the $158 million in federal funding the city received for “The Stitch” project. “The Stitch” is a “civic infrastructure investment needed to reconnect Downtown and Midtown Atlanta.” “It will span 14 acres and consist of urban greenspace and transportation enhancements,” according to the project’s website.

“In Collepark with THE Vice President @kamalaharris talbout Freak Nik,” Dupri said in the IG post. Unfortunately, their chat in inaudible, so we kind of just have to take his word for it. But part of the reason that Jermaine was chatting with Harris supposedly about Freaknik was because he had a major hand in producing a recent Hulu documentary about the annual spring break festival that took place at the Atlanta University Center.

The massive event took place in the 90s but has not happened since that decade due to the people’s efforts to avoid the police. Since Kamala was in the ATL for this new public hub’s construction, maybe Jermaine was trying to chat about Freaknik to possibly bring it back? Maybe he was trying to convince her to have it be hosted in this new spot? More could come of this, so be sure to stick around for more.

What are your thoughts on Jermaine Dupri claiming to have spoken with Kamala Harris about Freaknik? Do you believe him, why or why not? How do you think they decided to meet up? Fat Joe Panel Leads Discussion With Vice President Kamala Harris on Criminal Justice Reform, Cannabis and Healthcare

Fat Joe Shares That He's 'One Million Percent' Taking The COVID-19 Vaccine

Bronx-raised rap icon Fat Joe just had a high-level meeting this past Friday with the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris! As TMZ reported, Joe “led a panel regarding criminal justice reform featuring Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and White House Director of the Office of Public Engagement Steve Benjamin,” where he expressed ideas and solutions for important issues in the country.

This seemed more than a photo op. Fat Joe met with VP Harris and spearheaded the conversation with other advocates of criminal justice reform, not to mention a few recipients of marijuana-related pardons. Joe had the Vice President’s audience for about an hour, and he reportedly contributed personal anecdotes from the pardoned in attendance.

TMZ was told Fat Joe expressed gratitude for how his Hip-Hop journey paved the way for a close relationship with the Veep, whom he met through Power To The Patients, his healthcare reform group. Did you know he had that? Joe has been busy in the public reform arena!

Now get this: the report also said Fat Joe could have a private chat with Kamala, and the two dished on transparency regarding healthcare prices and other issues that matter to Joe.

ICYMI, Joe also rapped with President Joe Biden, himself after the State of the Union address, which implies Joe was at the address. Both political parties were clamoring for Joe’s attention trying to score autographs and snap pics. Rightfully so, because Joe has been working the world of politics and advocacy like no other in the world of Hip-Hop, maybe he’s on to something.

Fat Joe And Kamala Harris Got Into The Weeds About Marijuana Reform At A White House Event

Vice President Kamala Harris is on a mission to make penalties for marijuana-related offenses less harsh, and she has now recruited Fat Joe to the cause.

On Friday, March 15, Harris hosted a discussion on the topic at the White House, and it featured Fat Joe and others. As the Associated Press notes, the rapper “moderated a subsequent closed-door discussion that included Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and individuals who received pardons for prior marijuana convictions.”

Harris said during the event, “I cannot emphasize enough that they [Department Of Health And Human Services and Department Of Justice] need to get to it as quickly as possible and we need to have a resolution based on their findings and their assessment. But this issue is stark when one considers the fact that on the schedule currently marijuana is considered as dangerous as heroin,” she said during the public portion of the meeting. Marijuana is considered as dangerous as heroin and more dangerous than fentanyl, which is absurd. Not to mention patently unfair. So I’m sure DEA [Drug Enforcement Administration] is working as quickly as possible and will continue to do so and we look forward to the product of their work.”

As NPR notes, Harris also said plainly, “Nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed.”

Old Footage Of Kamala Harris And Montel Williams Resurfaces

Footage of Kamala Harris and Montel Williams during their brief 2001 relationship has re-emerged online. The footage shows the couple attending a red carpet-event together. Harris was yet to enter politics and was heading the Family and Children’s Services Division of San Francisco. She would win her first political position, San Francisco DA, in 2004. Meanwhile, Williams was in the midst of the syndicated run of The Montel Williams Show, which would end in 2008.

However, as mentioned, the relationship was a brief one. Harris met her husband, attorney Doug Emhoff, through a mutual friend in 2013. Meanwhile, Williams married American Airlines flight steward Tara Fowler in 2007. In 2020, Williams tweeted that he had “great respect” for Harris as she was named Joe Biden’s running mate for the 2020 election.

Lil Wayne Performs “Mrs. Officer” At Kamala Harris Hip-Hop 50 Event

Meanwhile, Did Lil Wayne shade the Vice President? While performing at Kamala Harris’s Hip-Hop 50 celebration last year, Wayne dropped a performance of “Mrs. Officer”. Peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2008, it’s a beloved piece of Wayne’s catalog. However, is there a deeper meaning to this performance? Obviously, the song is about Wayne getting it on with a female police officer and references N.W.A.‘s “F-ck Tha Police”. But before she was a senator and later VP, Harris had a relationship with law enforcement. She served as both San Francisco DA and California AG. Furthermore, she was widely criticized for her vocal pro-cop stance.

“Hip hop is the ultimate American art form,” Harris said at the event. “Born at a back to school party in the Bronx, raised on the streets of Philadelphia, Chicago, Oakland and Atlanta, hip hop now shapes nearly every aspect of America’s popular culture and it reflects the incredible diversity and ingenuity of the American people. To be clear, hip hop culture is America’s culture. It is music and melody and rhyme. Hip hop is also an ethos of strength and self-determination; of ambition and aspiration; of pride, power and purpose. Hip hop is a declaration of identity. It says I love who I am. I represent where I come from, and I know where I’m going.”

Kamala Harris Congratulates Jess Hilarious On Joining “The Breakfast Club”

Last week, Jess Hilarious finally confirmed that she’ll be a permanent host of The Breakfast Club. The exciting announcement followed plenty of speculation, and even rumors that she would be off of the radio show for good. To celebrate, the comedian shared a dramatic video of her sitting on a throne between her co-hosts, DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God.

Amid the announcement, Jess Hilarious has been met with congratulations and praise from countless fans and peers. Her predecessor Angela Yee even gave her a shoutout on Way Up recently, noting that it’s not an easy gig. “Today I think that we should shine a light on Jess Hilarious for joining The Breakfast Club,” she said. “Congratulations to her, I know it’s not an easy job.” Now, yet another powerful woman has provided her with a co-sign, Kamala Harris.

Kamala Harris With A Message For Jess Hilarious

“Jess Hilarious, it’s Kamala Harris,” she begins in a new clip, shared by Charlamagne Tha God on Instagram earlier today. “Congratulations on joining The Breakfast Club, I know you’re gonna be great. Your voice is so important. Have fun with Charlamagne and DJ Envy and thank you all for being just such an important voice for so many reasons.” As expected, the message has viewers split. Either way, it’s an exciting and unexpected endorsement. “The Most Powerful Woman In The World Will Be Listening to @breakfastclubam Per Usual. Thank You Madam VP. Tomorrow Morning the @jesshilarious_official era begins,” Charlamagne Tha God captioned the clip.

Jess went on to share the clip on her own page, writing, “Thank you Ms. Vice President @kamalaharris I will not disappoint… oh I’m coming with it for sure.” What do you think of Jess Hilarious becoming a permanent host of The Breakfast Club? How about Kamala Harris congratulating her? What about her reaction? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Joe Biden & Kamala Harris Endorsement Leaves Charlamagne Tha God Regretful

2024 has only just begun, but already, this year’s Presidential Election is weighing heavy on the minds of Americans. Donald Trump critics are working hard to prevent the Republican reality star from landing in the White House again, with multiple states launching campaigns to keep him off the primary ballot (some successful, others not). On the Democratic side of the fence, current POTUS Joe Biden is hitting the trail again as he moves into his mid-80s, much to the disappointment of journalists like Charlamagne Tha God.

During 2020’s election, The Breakfast Club host endorsed Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris. However, in a recent interview with Politico, Tha God confirmed he won’t make the same decisions this time. “I’ve learned my lesson from doing that. Once they got in the White House, she… kind of disappeared,” he said of the first BIPOC (and first woman) Vice President. According to Charlamagne, people in his life held him accountable when Harris failed to “hold it down” as he had promised them she would.

Charlamagne Tha God Hopes Current POTUS Won’t Run Again

“‘Damn, you told us to vote for [them].’ Do you know how many people say that to me all the time?” he vented to the outlet. As HipHopDX notes, Biden was in hot water after appearing on Charlamagne’s radio show in the year he entered office. At the time, the media mogul raised questions about Democrats taking the Black vote for granted. “You’ve got more questions, but I tell you … if you’ve got a problem whether or not you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t Black,” was the politician’s response.

Charlamagne Tha God isn’t the only public figure speaking out against President Joe Biden, though he may be the one to get his point across most poignantly. As far as our favourite rappers go, Denzel Curry is making his stance on the 84-year-old running in the 2024 election well known, which you can read more about at the link below.
