Monaleo & Kaliii Put Toxic Men On Blast With “Flush Em”

Throwing Bows might be the most spot-on title for a Monaleo project. Her rap style and bars exhibit similar actions that you would see in a boxing ring. Ironically, the cover for the aforementioned tape displays exactly that as she’s knocked out a man cold. Even crazier, is that Monaleo and Kaliii sound like they want to throw down with some toxic men for their girlfriends on their new single “Flush Em”.

This track comes just a week ahead of Throwing Bows, which will be her second LP of her still bubbling career. Where The Flowers Don’t Die, an 11-track, 28-minute-long effort was the last full-length-like effort we got and that came in May of 2023. “Flush Em”, which features production from Bankroll Got It, is the third offering, as it comes after “Passenger Princess” and “Don Who Leo”. While the flows are a bit clunky and do sound like Latto at times, what you can’t deny is the energy and mic presence from Monaleo. Give the track a try and tell us what you think in the comments below.

Kaliii’s Shines In The Opulent Video For Her New Single, ‘Hot Girl Maybach’

Atlanta rap star Kaliii is expecting a bundle of joy soon, but she isn’t letting that stop her from putting in work and enjoying the fruits of the other kind of labor. In the video for her new single “Hot Girl Maybach,” Kaliii shows off both her baby bump and some expensive rides as she rocks a silver gown in the driveway of a mansion surrounded by the titular luxury autos.

The chrome-colored video follows the reveal of her pregnancy with the clip for “Big One” featuring Monaleo, which Kaliii released last month. That video arrived two months after “Gas You Up” featuring Hunxho, which followed the dismissive “Bozo” video from February. Between songs, Kaliii collaborated with G-Eazy on “Femme Fatale,” which also featured Coi Leray, YG on “Shake” with Stunna Girl, and Cash Cobain on “Problem,” which included a squadron of collaborators like 6lack, Big Sean, Flo Milli, and the burgeoning TikTok favorite Laila!, whose breakout hit “Not My Problem” formed the base sample.

The former Uproxx cover star is a little under a year removed from her last EP, Fck Girl SZN, and is still working on her debut album — which hopefully won’t be negatively impacted by the shakeups at Atlantic Records.

Cash Cobain’s Remix Of Laila!’s ‘Problem’ Features A Massive List Of Guests Including 6lack, Big Sean, Flo Milli, And More

Does anyone else remember those 2000s mega-mixes of songs like “I’m So Hood” and “One Blood?” A popular rap song would get a remix that featured WAY too many guest stars, running the gamut from dancehall deejays to R&B court jesters like T-Pain. They were a sort of much more obnoxious version of rap supercrew posse cuts geared toward drawing in as many of the featured artists’ fans as possible to extend the life of a smash way beyond its normal expiration date.

Well, Gen Z finally has its version of this, courtesy of Cash Cobain and Laila! On “Problem,” the sample drill pioneer remixes the second-gen rapper‘s TikTok hit “Not My Problem” into a prime example of the form, adding in verses from a gaggle of game MCs ranging from blog rap vets 6lack and Big Sean to teen star Luh Tyler. Even mixtape staple Fabolous gets a look, while gender parity is provided by Atlanta rapper Anycia, Flo Milli, Kaliii, and Lay Bankz. New Yorker Kelz2busy, Don Q, and Kenzo B round out the Big Apple roster, while New Orleans rising star Rob49 completes the cipher. In the interest of keeping things short enough to appeal to the target demo, the verses are kept to bite size snippets, bringing in the whole thing at seven minutes — five shorter than “One Blood,” so there’s that, at least.

YG Teams Up with Kaliii and Stunna Girl for Energetic New Single “SHAKE”

YG Teams Up with Kaliii and Stunna Girl for Energetic New Single "SHAKE"

YG has collaborated with rising stars Kaliii and Stunna Girl to release a vibrant new single, “SHAKE,” accompanied by an eye-catching music video.

The track aims to dominate summer airwaves with its infectious energy and dynamic composition, blending YG’s signature sound with a lively orchestral melody. The song expertly integrates different beats and rhythms, keeping it fresh while circling back to the original groove. Kaliii and Stunna Girl’s distinct vocals add a catchy chorus, “Shake shake shake it fast,” which perfectly complements YG’s gritty flow.

The music video for “SHAKE” brings the lyrics to life on the beach, capturing the chill yet vibrant energy of the track against a moody coastal backdrop. Featuring dynamic scenes of YG riding a jet ski, relaxing on a boat, and vibing on the beach, the video showcases captivating visuals of girls dancing in sync with the rhythm, enhancing the carefree atmosphere. The combination of striking coastal shots and energetic dance sequences creates a visually engaging experience that matches the laid-back yet lively mood of the song.

Recently, YG dropped the new single “Weird,” accompanied by a striking music video. This powerful anthem combines YG’s signature heavy bass lines with an electrifying beat as he addresses those he views as disruptive and dysfunctional. This single follows the announcement of his upcoming “JUST RE’D UP” tour, set to kick off on June 28th in his hometown of Los Angeles, CA, and conclude on August 17th in Hawaii. The tour will feature special guests rapper Doe Boy and DJ Vision. This tour follows the release of YG’s first single of 2024, the upbeat record “Knocka,” under his new multi-album global recordings partnership with BMG, signed through his 4Hunnid label, setting the stage for his highly anticipated seventh solo studio album.

YG’s NSFW ‘Shake’ Video With Kaliii And Stunna Girl Is A Beach-Bound Booty Buffet

YG knows how to play the hits. With his new project Just Re’d Up 3 on the way, the Compton rapper has been getting back to basics with singles custom-made to turn up the function. First, there was “Knocka,” which hearkened back to the party-ready anthems of his debut album, My Krazy Life. Then, there was “Weird,” which some fans interpreted as a Drake diss (it wasn’t). Today, YG delivers the third single, “Shake,” which features Kaliii and Stunna Girl, along with a beach-bound, borderline-NSFW music video.

The song and its video both feel like callbacks to YG’s 2017 single “Pop It, Shake It” (the original version) from the uptempo beat and instructive chorus to the raunchy, booty-filled visuals — which, to be fair, are significantly tamer than the older video’s. Still, try not to watch “Shake” at your desk if you work in an office, or face some potentially awkward conversations. Also, sorry, but Kaliii and Stunna Girl don’t actually appear in the video, although based on some of their own output, they would fit right in. They also spit some very aggressive, but technically impressive verses.

Just Re’d Up 3 is due in July via 4 Hunnid.

G-Eazy Returns From His Long Hiatus With The Seductive ‘Femme Fatale’ Featuring Coi Leray And Kaliii

Just when you probably found yourself wondering, “Where the heck is G-Eazy?” the man himself returns with a new single to show you: he’s been in the studio. On the new track, “Femme Fatale,” he was accompanied by a pair of companions whose presence played perfectly with the title: Coi Leray and Kaliii. Opening with the familiar vocal intro from 20th Century Steel Band’s oft-sampled “Heaven And Hell Is On Earth,” the track quickly pivots to Gerald’s signature Bay Area bounce and the three rappers spitting sleazy verses about stepping out for some sexual activities. The new single is accompanied by a vizualizer of G-Eazy’s face — complete with Starchild-esque makeup — projected on a nude woman’s body.

“Femme Fatale” represents the first time fans have heard from the Berkeley, California native since last April when he appeared on Vic Mensa’s “Swish” with Chance The Rapper. It’s Eazy’s first single as the primary artist since “Tulips And Roses” a month before. One potential reason for his absence from the spotlight could be the death of his mother in late 2021; one of the few songs he’s released since then was the loving tribute “Angel.” If G-Eazy is looking to release a new album soon, it’ll be his first since 2021’s These Things Happen Too, his sixth studio album, which featured appearances from Demi Lovato, E-40, EST Gee, Jack Harlow, Lil Wayne, Tyga, YG, and more.

“BOZO”: Kaliii’s New Single Is A Pre-Valentine’s Breakup Anthem

February 14th is a special time of year for love birds, but for those who are feeling the weight of being single, or working through a breakup during this time of year, emotions can be running high. Thankfully, even those in the music industry know this, and they continue to release songs that cater to virtually everything their fans feel – especially heartbreak. For her first single of 2024, Atlanta’s Kaliii is making a bold return with “BOZO,” which celebrates the femcee regaining her freedom after ending a toxic relationship.

“Last night me and that ni**a broke up / I’m outside, man, that ni**a f**ked up,” the Toxic Chocolate artist says on her first verse, not holding back from the jump. “That ni**a striked out, he done played again / Caught him with a h* in her baby ass Benz,” Kaliii continues, seemingly insinuating that cheating lead to her relationship’s demise.

Kaliii is Back with an Anti-Valentine’s Day Anthem

According to Uproxx, “BOZO” will appear on the tracklist for Kaliii’s upcoming spring EP. It includes a sample of R&B icon Keyshia Cole’s “Love,” though that’s the opposite of what the young lyricist feels toward her ex. As she continues to grow into her identity as a creatiive, the “Area Codes” hitmaker has been experimenting consistently with new sounds, and we’re curious to see what other interpolations her and her team of producers might have up their sleeve.

As we’ve already noted this weekend, the women in music are seriously holding it down today in particular. You can tune into Kaliii’s visual for “BOZO” above, or find it on Spotify/Apple Music. Afterward, we’ve got plenty more must-listens from our favourite femcees, including Coi Leray, who reconnected with Metro Boomin after their Spider-Man soundtrack success for “Enjoy Yourself.” Stream that at the link below, and let us know which February releases have been your favourite so far in the comments.

Kaliii Celebrates A Break-Up With A ‘Bozo’ In Lavish Fashion In Her New Video

Kaliii continues to lay down the law. Last year, the ATL rapper made a splash with her viral hit “Area Codes.” Tonight (February 9), our cover star has shared her empowered new single, “Bozo.”

The song precedes her upcoming EP, which is slated for release this spring. On “Bozo,” Kaliii makes it known she’s not the one to play with. She tells the story of a break-up, unfazed about hearing of a man’s infidelity. Evidently, Kaliii heard the news from the man’s mistress, but simply lets the woman know that she can have that man.

“Come to me as a woman? That’s a no-no / ‘Cuz who the f*ck wants smoke about a bozo,” she raps on one of the song’s verse.

The song features a prominent sample of Keyshia Cole’s “Love,” but make no mistake — Kaliii won’t be suckered back in.

After a vocal sample of Cole singing the word “love,” Kaliii raps “F*ck that, ain’t no more love for a ho” and says “his homeboy the one I should’ve chose.”

In the song’s video, Kalii is seen gossiping with her girls about the break-up, then living her best life dressed to the nines on a yacht, while the titular bozo begs for another chance.

You can watch the “Bozo” video above.

Kaliii is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

At the tender age of 12, with the guidance of her stepdad, Kaliii embarked on her rap career. She drew inspiration from iconic artists like Nicki Minaj and Aaliyah. However, like many teenagers, Kaliii momentarily lost her musical focus, turning her attention to athletics and part-time jobs, including stints at Chipotle and a senior living facility.

Her big break came in 2018 when she auditioned for Netflix’s music competition series Rhythm + Flow. Although she only made it to the second round, this experience was a stepping stone. In November 2020, Kaliii released her breakthrough single, “Do a Bi**h,” which went viral and catapulted her to fame.
