Anycia’s extremely lowkey and unbothered delivery has made her a standout and a name to watch out for. Bursting onto the scene in 2022 with a pair of singles, the Atlanta native really got to see growth in her reach heading into 2024. Her first major co-sign was fellow Georgia peach Latto on the single “BACK OUTSIDE.” It’s a braggadocious banger that still burns for us all these months later and it’s her biggest track to date. After a few more releases, she would go on to drop her debut project PRINCESS POP THAT. It’s essentially a longer version of that Latto collab, as she displays uber levels of confidence.
As we said, her delivery is big reason as to why she’s steadily rising up the ranks. However, there are times where it doesn’t always play in her favor. One of those instances unfortunately is on Anycia’s latest single, “SMOKE YOU OUT.” Sleepier flows in general are ones that tend to be the most hit or miss out there. 21 Savage sometimes suffers from that issue despite his superstar status. For Anycia, she gets a little more grace as she continues to build out her career. However, given how minimal the lyrics, there just isn’t enough oomph on her end. Kalan.FrFr provides the chorus, which sees him croon rather than spit. Overall, “SMOKE YOU OUT” is not Anycia’s best work in our opinion. But there are plenty of others out there that are.
Know you wanna be seen with me That is not real gas, that is just OG Car real loud, Trackhawk Jeep Spacegirl world Pretty girls get geeked Eyes real low, make a f*** n**** weak
Kalan.FrFr was on a mission to MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN in the first quarter of 2024. The eight-track project featured a handful of California’s most prominent figures, including Ty Dolla $ign and YG. However, he also called on acts from the Midwest like G Herbo to help his cause. Unfortunately, it’s a project that sort of came and went for us. But still it was nice to get something from Kalan during this resurrection of the West Coast. It’s been a big year for the entire region and business was especially booming in the spring/summer months. But Kalan.FrFr is making sure the success continues into the end of 2024 with the release of “EVERYBODY (Remix).”
This was initially a single for MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN that was solely his. But for this remix, he’s merely playing organizer, as he’s limited to handling the chorus which is unchanged. When we mention organizer, it’s not just for three or four features. No, Kalan.FrFr called on 11(!) rappers from his area. Thanks to a press release, we have the scoop on everyone you will hear on this record. 310babii, OHGEESY, BlueBucksClan, John Mackk, and G Perico are the first half. Then, RJMrLA, Rucci, Heembeezy, CUZZOS, Wallie the Sensei, and CheffBoy round out the rest. So yes, it’s an ensemble performance to a tee and everyone’s bringing something to the table. Overall, it’s cool to see artists put these sorts of things together, and to get everyone pretty equal time is just as impressive. Check out the remix for Kalan’s “EVERYBODY” with the YouTube audio link below.
Two Los Angeles MCs are holding it down on this bouncy and romantic single and brand-new video from Wallie The Sensei and Kalan.FrFr, “Come Slide Wit Me.” As you might expect, this is a West Coast-infused and summery cut about one’s ability to care for a partner, lust for them, provide, and just overall flex together throughout their lavish lives. The vocal melodies and flows are relatively simple, but there are some engaging speed-ups and extra production embellishments like strings, samples, and synth pads to flesh things out. Also, both vocalists share plenty of sung chemistry and are able to come across quite charismatically on the mic. They’ve both been pretty busy this year, with Wallie landing on G Perico’s G Slim’s Revenge back in April.
On the other hand, Kalan.FrFr just dropped his new project MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN backed by hot tracks like “EVERYBODY.” If you’re a fan of that California swing, it’s a must-listen. It’s also pretty heartening to hear these two artists have some fun on a track together, as they haven’t had many link-ups together in the past. They both appeared on Rucci’sEl Perro 2 a couple of years ago, so hopefully there are more chances. We should also mention that this song came out on SoundCloud three years ago, and we’re glad it’s finally widely accesible. Check “Come Slide Wit Me” out on your preferred streaming service and watch the music video below. Let us know what you thought of it in the comments section down there, where you’ll also find some notable lines. As always, stick around on HNHH for more rap drops around the clock.

Quotable Lyrics Bust down your neck, but not the nasty kind, Your Cuban Link all flowers set just like a dandelion, You fell in love with me and my set like it was Valentine’s, Said if you bust yours, you know I’m blasting mine
You could argue that the West Coast hip-hop scene has been run by Kendrick Lamar for the better part of a decade. If not, it is undeniable that he has been taking over for the last several weeks. His diss tracks and verses have been playing all throughout the streets of California in particular. “Not Like Us,” his most recent diss and perhaps the Drake kill shot, has sort of become the anthem out West. With that in mind, artists of lower stature, such as Kalan.FrFr, really have to come through with some major heat.
Kalan.FrFr is looking to put on for his hometown, and the state at large, with a new EP called MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN. The 29-year-old multi-hyphenate might not have the fan base of a K-Dot, but he certainly has the backing of a major label (Roc Nation), and the co-signs from plenty of big fish. Giving this new tape that West Coast street cred are fellow veterans YG, Ty Dolla $ign, as well as G Herbo and Spooky Jay. Kalan.FrFr is following up on a December 2023 EP, NOT HARD 2 UNDERSTAND, as well a 2022 LP, 222. Furthermore, leading up to MTWGA, the “Right Wit It” MC dropped one promo track, “EVERYBODY,” which called out all the gangs.
So, how does Kalan.FrFr perform on this new EP? To be quite frank, it comes across as run of the mill West Coast fare. The track that managed to stand out to us was “NO MUNYON NO FUNYON” with G Herbo. The Chicago native brings an animated performance to break up the flow that Kalan brings, which is his trademark smooth flow. Additionally, Spooky Jay, has probably the most unique outing that will definitely grab your attention. But back to Kalan, he sort of recycles that formula across the rest of the tape. On top of that talking about the same topics (flexing and being around women), it gets even more redundant. The beats are passable and non-offensive, which is fine, but it just does not move the needle. Still, give the tape a chance with the links above.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new EP MAKE THE WEST GREAT AGAIN by Kalan.FrFr? What tracks have you been gravitating toward? Who had the strongest guest performance? Where do you rank this project amongst the rest of his discography? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. For about eight years or so, Los Angeles, California rapper Kalan.FrFr has been putting out signature vibes from the area. His usual chill and calm presence on the microphone is what makes him standout a little bit more from some of the higher energy MCs from the West Coast. His following is not as massive as some other artists from the area, but do not let that dictate whether or not you check out this new song or not.
Kalan.FrFr is back with a new single called “EVERYBODY” and it is out everywhere now. It is his first offering since early February’s “Ain’t No Fun,” and it also follows up his collaboration with 310babii on “stuck.” From what we know “EVERYBODY” and maybe also “Ain’t No Fun,” will be on an upcoming EP for Kalan.FrFr. For now, we have no word on a release date, or how many tracks will make the project.
“EVERYBODY” is a barebones record in terms of the lyrical content, but it brings that bouncy sound from the West we are accustomed to. Over a rumbling and chunky bassline provided by Bankroll Got It, Kalan brings simple song structure with an earworm of a chant. “Ayy, Bloods, Crips, h**s, pimps / Thugs, strippers, n****s, b****es / Everybody, everybody.” You can check out the track with the YouTube link above.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “EVERYBODY” by Kalan.FrFr? Is this the best track that he has put out as of late, why or why not? Does this get you excited for the upcoming EP? Who would you want to hear on that when it drops? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Kalan.FrFr’s summer hit “Butterfly Coupe,” featuring fellow Cali rapper Tyga, has been turning heads with millions of global streams and YouTube views. The track made a significant impact on rhythmic radio soon after its release, and it was clear that it was destined for success.
Produced by Hitmaka and OG Parker, “Butterfly Coupe” was a high-octane cruise through the streets of L.A., painting a vivid picture of luxury living, from big rims and designer clothing to penthouse suites and gourmet dinners.
The success of the original single caught the attention of Migos frontman Quavo, who decided to hop on for the remix. The result is nothing short of spectacular. Quavo seamlessly continues the lavish narrative, rhapsodizing about beautiful women, luxury cars, and living the rockstar lifestyle. In the latest recording, Kalan.FrFr also showcases his lyrical prowess with a new verse, showcasing his versatility as both a rapper and singer.
The “Butterfly Coupe” remix is set to solidify Kalan further.FrFr’s status as a rising star in the rap scene, with his infectious beats and clever lyrics captivating audiences far and wide.

Last night in LA felt like a reunion! Blxst and Bino Rideaux performed at a sold-out show at the Novo. And the energy in the room was crazy. The two L.A. artists are currently on a 4-city tour for their collaborative Sixtape album series, and last night kicked off the third night of the tour in their hometown. Performing songs from parts one through three of their Sixtape trilogy, they had the crowd vibing the entire night. Not only did they perform just about every song from each tape, but Blxst and Bino performed some of their own popular solo records. Just when fans couldn’t think the night would get better, they brought out special guests 03 Greedo, Kalan.FrFr, and BlueBucksClan to add to the night.
The anticipation in the room was high as the intro to each track played, teasing the songs, and the crowd roared with applause. The atmosphere was electric, with fans of all ages coming together to celebrate the unique blend of hip-hop and R&B that Blxst and Bino Rideaux bring to the stage. Although this time, it was the California native Kalan.FrFr who graced the stage, causing the crowd to erupt in screams and cheers. Kalan.FrFr, known for his collaboration with Blxst on “No Stoppin,” treated the audience to one of his hit tracks, “Never Lose You,” from his TwoFr 2 album in 2021. But the night was far from over. Blxst and Bino additionally closed out the show with tracks from their most recent release, Sixtape 3. The fan-favorite “Doin Yo Stuff” had the entire crowd vibing and singing along, creating an unforgettable moment. And just when everyone thought the surprises were over, the duo brought out the final special guest, 03 Greedo.
Following his five-year hiatus behind bars, Westcoast rapper 03 Greedo made a triumphant return, hitting the stage to perform his hit track “Run For Yo Life.” It was a heartwarming sight to see him back in action, as if he had never left. In fact, since his release, he’s been back in the studio and even released a new song, “Rich On Grape Street,” just last month. Fans were pretty excited to see him on stage.

The culture loves a fuzzy feel-good moment when artists connect with their communities and Kalan.FrFr recently pulled together a few friends for TwoFr Day. For the fourth year, the Los Angeles rapper hosted the giveback initiative sponsored by Roc Nation, First Class Entertainment, Puma, and Amazon’s Music Rotation. Kalan partnered with the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees for the event and donated $20,000 to the district’s special needs program.
It wasn’t all networking and handshakes; Kalan and his team truly wanted to shine a light on the needs of students. The neighborhood came together at Dominguez High School in Compton for the massive giveaway and a concert takeover. “Two Fr means the world to me,” he told us.
He continued: “It’s an event where I can get close to my fans and they can see me in a more comfortable level where we’re having fun together. Just being able to give back and help the school district that I came from and to be able to put something back into my community means everything to me.”
TwoFr Day advocates for kids and adults with disabilities, and it is an event that the community looks forward to. It began as a toy drive at its inception and has evolved into something that has helped change the lives of California families.
Kalan was able to provide free food, shoes, apparel, toys, school supplies, and much more with special giveaways, thanks to donations from Puma, Ethika, Undefeated, Snoop Dogg and Hip Hop Harry, Homme Femme, Bachi Bus, and The Goldwing Group.
The rapper has shared several highlights from this community get-together, so check out more from TwoFr Day below.
