Isaiah Rashad Addresses His Sex Tape Leak, Calling Himself ‘Sexually Fluid’ On Joe Budden’s Podcast

While hip-hop has seen the emergence of more and more queer-identifying artists, most of them were able to come out to fans on their own terms. Unfortunately for TDE rapper Isaiah Rashad, that choice was taken out of his hands when hackers leaked a sex tape featuring Isaiah and another man on the internet. It’s a testament to how far the culture has come that fans supported him with encouraging messages instead of vilifying him, but aside from thanking his supporters during his Coachella set, Isaiah had yet to address the leak.

That changed with the release of the latest episode of the Joe Budden podcast, in which Joe directly asks Isaiah about his sexual orientation. “I’d say I’m sexually fluid,” he replies. “I’m still learning about it myself. I’m putting my head in the books to find out the basics of it.” He elaborates that he’s attracted more to personalities and intellect, but he is in a supportive monogamous relationship (something Joe Budden has trouble wrapping his head around). Isaiah says that he only recently began to discover this about himself. However, he expresses relief that he doesn’t have to explain “this internet stuff” to his kids. “My kids are six and eight,” he says. “We do Roblox.”

Isaiah Rashad is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Nicki Minaj Says Lil Kim Deserves Recognition For Her Influence, Despite Their Past Friction

Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj sat down for a nearly two-hour-long interview with Joe Budden on Instagram Live. During the interview, she talked about her fourth album, Queen, which she admitted wasn’t “presented correctly,” a label and management company she’s working on founding, and her overall influence on hip-hop.

When Minaj first stepped onto the scene, she donned a pink wig, which made up her signature look, and is now part of many female rappers’ repertoires.

“I would never see any female rapper wearing pink hair, pink hair became a part of that starter kit,” Minaj said in the interview. “Every female rapper will put on a pink wig at some point.”

Still, despite the influence of Minaj’s aesthetic, the “Do We Have A Problem?” rapper admitted she’s frustrated at the fact that she’s never been on the cover of Vogue. She also noted that the influence of white artists is regarded differently than that of Black artists.

“When Billie Eilish comes out and sets a trend with her green hair, she’s immediately put on American Vogue,” Minaj said, before later recalling pleasant encounters with Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Minaj later said, “The same way I feel like I should have been on the cover of American Vogue, so should have Lil Kim, if we being all the way a thousand.” She continued, saying, “When myself or Lil Kim goes on the internet, every day we see our influence. I’m not gonna say it’s about me only and not give that woman her just due about what she did.”

Early Minaj songs, including “Roman’s Revenge” and “Stupid Hoe” are thought to be about Kim. While Minaj has never confirmed the subject of these songs, Kim has slammed Minaj several times, including in a Hot 97 interview with Ebro and Peter Rosenberg, where she called Minaj “a snake,” but said she’d be willing to collaborate with her.

Nicki Minaj Says Jokes About Her Body by Lil Wayne Was Part of Her Decision to Get Butt Injections

A Conversation With Nicki Minaj Joe Budden 6 16 screenshot

Nicki Minaj gave a ton of insight into her life and career while speaking with Joe Budden. One of the topics she dived into was her decision to get “ass shots.” Minaj revealed the decision was made after hanging around Lil Wayne.

“Wayne would have a new chick in the studio every session, so it was always a new big booty,” Minaj said. “They were his muses. I wanna make sure I don’t downplay [the women] because they have a big part in the journey of a rapper’s career.”

She would add that hearing jokes about her body would also lead to receiving the shots. “I was around them all the time,” she added. “All I would hear them talking about is bug butts. I didn’t feel complete or good enough.”

“When you say certain things around women you can’t take them back.”

Nicki Minaj recently sat down with Joe Budden for an exclusive interview where she talked about her career, the status of female rap, and the industry in general. She also revealed that Future once told her that he’s a lightweight with drugs, despite much of his lyrical content being focused around them.

Nicki revealed what Future told her during her discussion with Joe Budden about the role that rappers and entertainers play in the lives of the youth.

“I remember I had a conversation with Future in the studio one time and he said something I’ll never forget, and he laughed while he said it,” Nicki said. “He was like, ‘Yeah, you know, people be thinking I’m really doing a lot of drugs because I rap about it all the time but they don’t even be knowing I’m a lightweight.’ I said, ‘Errr?’ in my head because there are a lot of people that are huge Future fans, for instance. And that’s how they’re going to feel closer to him because they’re doing what they’re hearing him rap about not knowing that he’s not like that.”
