Joe Budden Apologized To Megan The Stallion Over His ‘Careless’ Jokes About Her Mental Health

Even Joe Budden admits he can go too far sometimes. The media personality and former rapper offered Megan The Stallion an apology after making harsh comments about the Houston rhymer’s recent statements regarding how the trial against Tory Lanez has affected her.

On the latest episode of Budden’s podcast, the host admits he might have stuck his foot in his mouth when he offered his thoughts about Megan. In the episode prior, Budden talked about his contempt for the “Savage” rapper, revealing he had seen her do ” horrible things” to some “really great people.”

“I’m biased,” he said on the broadcast. “You can’t just treat my friends, and people I f*ck with, and people I’ve seen in this game for 15 years a certain way.”

But to be clear, Budden noted his disdain for Megan had nothing to do with her involvement in the Tory Lanez trial. Either way, his message didn’t go over too well. After receiving tons of backlash on social media, Budden said he received “a few phone calls” from some “women he respects” and now realizes the error of his ways.

“I’m apologizing for the careless manner in which I joked about her mental health,” he said in a clip posted to The Shade Room. “That didn’t sit right with my soul and my spirit. Because whether you believe her or don’t believe her, can you afford to be wrong? And the answer is no.”

Budden says he “would not feel right if that girl went home and she did something to herself” and doesn’t want to add to the “Meg hate train going on across social media.”

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Joe Budden Says Rappers Should Have To Take A “Hip-Hop SAT Test” Before Signing Record Deal

Joe Budden has never been afraid to speak his mind on any topic within the music industry.

As a result, the media personality has continually seen himself in some controversial headlines.

His most recent comments arrived while making an appearance on the Earn Your Leisure podcast. The “Pump It Up” rapper believes that new rappers shouldn’t get signed solely based on their musical talents. According to him, labels should be requiring up-and-coming artists to additionally take a hip-hop SAT test.

Many artists, especially in today’s fast-paced world, see offers from record labels after one viral song or snippet. However, the former Everyday Struggle host says they should also have to showcase their knowledge about the industry.

“I’ve always felt like there needs to be, like, a hip-hop SAT test that you take before you can get a record deal. Some of you n****s gotta answer some questions, like ‘how do you hold a microphone?’ They’re some of the bare basics you gotta know. If everybody just know everything, with no consequence, with no trial and error, then everybody’s just doing the same sh*t,” suggests the 42-year-old.

The comment comes in response to him and the podcast’s hosts discussing the over-saturation of both the podcast and music industry.

In other recent news surrounding the media personality, he’s been engaging in some heated exchanges with actress Vivica A. Fox. This has been a result of him dissing Megan Thee Stallion while she’s going through the trial for Tory Lanez’s alleged shooting over two years ago.

The Independence Day actress subsequently took aim at the 42-year-old, telling him to “sit your b*tch ass down.” “Y’all mad ’cause the girls right now is ruling in rap. It’s just driving y’all crazy that the sisters is just ruling,” she clapped back.

What do you think of Budden’s most recent comments? Should newer artists have to take something like his “hip-hop SAT test” before signing a deal in the industry? Leave your thoughts in the comments down below.

Claudia Jordan Reacts After Joe Budden Tells Her To “Shut The F*ck Up”

Claudia Jordan’s made an enemy out of Joe Budden after the podcast host faced backlash for criticizing Megan Thee Stallion.

In the past two weeks, we’ve watched the Tory Lanez trial unfold with testimony from Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Nicole, and eyewitnesses. On one of the latest episodes of his podcast, Joe wound up dragging Meg for allegedly mistreating some of his industry friends. Ultimately, this landed on the radar of Cocktails With Queens co-hosts, Claudia Jordan and Vivica A. Fox, who had a lot to say about Joe.

“If you want to talk about somebody doing something bad to someone your friends with, maybe you’re not the one to say that,” she said before bringing up allegations of domestic abuse and Budden’s falling out with Rory and Mal.

Ultimately, this led to Budden trashing both Claudia and Fox on the latest episode of his podcast. Though his rant largely targeted Vivica A. Fox, he still had smoke for Jordan.

“Claudia Jordan, shut the fuck up. You got to shut the fuck up. It could get bad,” he said. “I will book that entire Fox old hoes show for $75.99. You bitches better leave me alone.”

Word got back to Claudia but she doesn’t seem too offended by Joe’s rant. Instead, she provided a solution.

“Wow, he” seems upset’s upset,” she wrote. “He should drink some milk.”

While Joe might have issues with the FOX Soul hosts, he did offer an apology to Megan Thee Stallion for his initial comments.

“I’m apologizing for the careless manner in which I joked about her mental health. That didn’t sit right with my soul and my spirit,” he said. “But that’s not funny because whether you believe her or don’t believe her, can you afford to be wrong? And the answer is no. I would not feel right if that girl went home and did something to herself ’cause then I would just be a part of the pile-on. And there is seemingly a Meg hate train going on across socials.”

Joe Budden Denies Being Bisexual Or Gay Following Fizz Remarks

Comments made on The Joe Budden Podcast thrust the podcaster into a viral moment. For years, there have been rumors that Joe Budden was bisexual, and with each allegation, he trolls the masses. The former rapper is happily in love with his girlfriend, yet still, his sexuality is regularly called into question. This was recently reignited after Budden spoke about Lil Fizz’s controversy over an alleged nude leak.

“Aye, Lil Fizz, you’re lucky I ain’t see this news sooner,” he said on his podcast. “I would have started with this one, buddy. But this why I’ma fight y’all, ’cause y’all have eyes and know some of this is funny. If this n*gga got his ass tooted up in the air on OnlyFans, somebody need to know about that.”

Additionally, he added, “Do I like skinny people? Lil Fizz too small for me. I’d break that lil’ boy. I’d have fizz coming out of Fizz, man. Get this n*gga outta here.”

It was all delivered with a roar of laughter, but the internet quickly shared the clip. Soon, Budden found himself a trending topic, and he returned to make a few things clear.

“I am not gay or bisexual,” he further stated. “I want to apologize—I’m flattered!… Y’all think y’all was flirting with me. I took it as disrespect.” Budden then relived a few conversations he’s had since making his statements on Fizz.

“I’m not playin’ with you. Y’all n*ggas is aggressive. Y’all tall. It’s over now, yo, it’s over. Enough! No more jokey-jokes. Big ass gay dudes. Big as hell in my DMs.”

As he’s been fighting off people sliding in his DMs, Budden has also gone to verbal war with Vivica Fox and Claudia Jordan. After saying he doesn’t like Megan Thee Stallion, Fox and Jordan called him out. He returned the favor and didn’t hold back.

However, he also apologized to Megan for joking about her mental health.

Joe Budden Trashes Claudia Jordan & Vivica A. Fox

Just after apologizing to Megan Thee Stallion, Joe Budden had a lot to say about the hosts of Cocktails With Queens.

Joe’s commentary on Megan Thee Stallion this week ruffled plenty of feathers. The podcast host explained how he didn’t like the Houston Hottie due to her alleged treatment of some of his friends.

The commentary sparked a reaction from Cocktails With Queens co-hosts Vivica A. Fox and Claudia Jordan, one that Joe couldn’t ignore.

“If you don’t button it up and sit your bitch ass down!” Fox warned Budden. Meanwhile, Claudia Jordan brought up domestic abuse allegations and Budden’s treatment of Rory and Mal.

“If you want to talk about somebody doing something bad to someone your friends with, maybe you’re not the one to say that,” Jordan added.

Though Joe offered an apology to Megan Thee Stallion, he had plenty to say to Fox and Jordan on the latest episode of his podcast. The Mood Muzik rapper fired back at both women while dragging their careers.

“Claudia Jordan, shut the fuck up. You got to shut the fuck up. It could get bad,” he said before redirecting his energy toward Vivica A. Fox.

“Once regarded as the Black woman that all of America wanted to be with — just so we’re clear on that. Long fall from grace. You bitches don’t know how to usefully use your pussy broth is the problem. So now, be very careful with how you continue to speak about me because I got right here Vivica Fox movies,” he said. Joe listed Vivica A. Fox’s recent roles in movies like Aquarium Dead, Arkansas, and Hooking Up.

“Vivica Fox, shut the fuck up before I book you for a movie. You don’t cost but $5 to get it done,” Joe continued. “I will book that entire Fox old hoes show for $75.99. You bitches better leave me alone.”

Joe Budden Issues Apology To Megan Thee Stallion Amid Tory Lanez Trial

Joe Budden offered an apology to Megan Thee Stallion following disparaging remarks about the “Savage” rapper on a recent podcast.

On a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Budden made it clear that he is not a fan of Meg. “But what I can say is I’m finished with these n****s and I don’t like that girl. I can’t,” he said before explaining his stance.

“Personally, I’ve seen this woman do horrible things to some really great people that I have longstanding relationships with here in this industry,” he continued. “You can’t just treat my friends, and people I fuck with, and people I’ve seen in this game for 15 years a certain way.”

Joe quickly faced backlash following his comments. Vivica A Fox, for example, told him to “sit yo bitch ass down.” She told Joe that the “facts are finally coming out” surrounding the shooting.

Today, Joe offered an apology to Megan and her team for the “careless manner” that he addressed her mental health.

“I’m apologizing to Meg,” he said. “Meg, the people that love her. Her handlers, her team, the people that have to support her through what has to be an exhausting trial. I listened back. I got a few phone calls from women that I love and appreciate and admire,” he added before appearing to blame his co-host for the information that he heard surrounding the case.

A fan later urged people to cancel Joe but he quickly fired back, saying, “You can’t cancel me, don’t fool yourself.”

Joe Budden Reacts To EJ King’s Trial Recap

Apart from all of the pleas leading up to the YSL Rico trial in Atlanta in January, the Tory Lanez trial in Los Angeles has been one of the most-talked legal battles in Hip-Hop this month. Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Harris, and plenty of other witnesses have taken the stand so far. Megan’s former bodyguard, Justin Edison, has still yet to testify, but earlier this week, EJ King took the stand.

EJ King was Megan Thee Stallion’s stylist around the time of the shooting, and he attended Kylie Jenner’s party on July 12, 2020. In his testimony, he said Megan was “past the faded point,” so he had urged her to leave the party. When questioned if Megan or Kelsey had a firearm in their possession that night, EJ King replied, “Possibly… but it’s not my business.”

Joe Budden and other celebrities react to EJ King’s post-court Instagram post

Following EJ King’s testimony in court on Monday (Dec. 19), he hit Instagram to share photos of his outfit. As reporters previously described, King sported long, wavy hair and a bright pink blazer during his court appearance. King also shared video clips of him talking to the press and walking away from the courthouse. In fact, King took his IG dump a step further by soundtracking the video clips with the theme music from Law & Order.

“My day in court was exhausting but it’s over and done with!!!” EJ King wrote in his Instagram post. “Speak your truth and leave it there.”

See the celebrity stylist’s post below.

Naturally, several people found King’s Law & Order clips hilarious, which led fans and celebrities alike to react to his post. Supermodel Winnie Harlow, actress Jessie Woo, Joie Chavis, and plenty of others roasted King for using the Law & Order music.

Surprisingly, Joe Budden also joined in on the fun. Budden recently admitted to not liking Megan Thee Stallion, but his reaction to King’s post appeared to be more focused on his video-editing antics than his actual testimony in court.

“Fam,” he wrote in EJ King’s comments with a flurry of crying laughing emojis. See Joe Budden’s reaction, as well as more celebrity reactions, below.

Vivica Fox Goes Off On Joe Budden After He Disses Megan Thee Stallion

Ever since she was catapulted into stardom, Megan Thee Stallion has been a polarizing figure, and Joe Budden apparently isn’t a fan. Megan is currently in the throws of a court case involving Tory Lanez and the infamous shooting in July 2020. Megan contests Lanez shot her in her feet, but he says it was Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Harris.

Joe Budden Slams Adam22 For Posthumous Kevin Samuels Content

Joe Budden Joins Patreon As Head of Creator Equity

Kevin Samuel’s sudden death earlier this year was met with mixed reactions as some paid their respects to the controversial influencer while others celebrated his death. On the Joe Budden Podcast, Joe, Ice and Ish paid their respects to Samuels who actually guest starred on the podcast early last year.

Following his death, many social media outlets started to repost clips from Samuels’ IG lives, interviews, and YouTube content. No Jumper, a popular hip-hop media outlet based out of Los Angeles and run by Adam 22, started to upload clips of Samuels’ old content. Adam 22 recently guest starred on the Joe Budden Podcast where he was scolded by Budden for re-uploading Samuels’ content after his death.

While on the episode, Budden brought up the late men’s influencer, and Adam22 responded, “Rest in peace.” Budden then told the No Jumper host “i don’t like what you did after he died.”

Budden went on to call Adam22’s actions “disgusting” and the “nastiest performance I’ve ever seen.” Adam22 defended his postition saying that when someone dies, there’s a huge demand for that person’s content on social media.

What is your job as a content creator? Your job is to make content and get that content out to the people that want to see it,” Adam said. “Somebody dies, there’s a huge demand for that content, you re-upload it, people see it on their subscription feed, they click on it because this is a very talked-about thing,” Adam22 added.

Ish then asked Adam22 if the content he posted about Samuels was in a negative light. Joe jumped in and said “He didn’t slander his name, he just re-uploaded everything on Kevin Samuels in the moment that he died.” Adam22 then admitted to uploading content of Samuels as soon as his passing was confirmed.
