Kim Kardashian Lobbies Joe Biden To Help Prevent Another Armenian Genocide

Kim Kardashian has issued a “plea” to President Joe Biden to help prevent another Armenian Genocide. Azerbaijani troops currently occupy at least 19 square miles of internationally recognized Armenian territory. This came after crossing the Armenian border in May 2021. Furthermore, Azerbaijani forces have blockaded the Lachin Corridor, cutting off the Christian Armenians of Artsakh (also known as Nagorno-Karabakh). Kardashian stated her case in a lengthy article co-written for Rolling Stone. As part of this, she has outlined the numerous tactics that the Azerbaijani government has used in order to “make the republic so uninhabitable that people would either die or agree to leave. Meanwhile, supporters of this starvation use coordinated social media campaigns to pretend that a blockade is not taking place.”

Furthermore, Kardashian noted that “Numerous genocide watchdog groups and the United Nations’ own independent Special Rapporteurs — including the first UN Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide, Professor Juan Mendez — have been trying to alert the world about these impending atrocities for months. Last month, Luis Moreno Ocampo, the first chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, published his independent report. He concluded that a genocide is already underway because under Article II, (c) of the Genocide Convention, Azerbaijan is “Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction.”

The United States has officially condemned the actions of the Azerbaijani government. However, they have taken very little action beyond that. “The people in Artsakh want to live in peace. Now is the time for true leadership. We need for those who have a meaningful role in these affairs to immediately demand that the Lachin Corridor is opened to stop another genocide. We want to draw more attention to the crisis and appeal to those in our own government who truly care about humanity to intervene. The United States has the ability to mobilize a response. Leaders who are effective and help our people will be remembered for their heroism. Even if well-meaning, the ones who are inert and ineffective will be remembered for allowing a genocide to take place under their watch. The choice is theirs,” Kardashian wrote.

The term “Armenian Genocide” refers to the systematic destruction of the Armenian people and their culture in the midst of WW1. The Ottoman Empire is believed to have killed between 800,000 and 1.5 million Armenians between 1915 and 1917. However, the issue remains contentious – just 34 countries officially recognise the Armenian Genocide. Meanwhile, Turkey has long defended its actions. Hopefully, a celebrity voice like Kardashian can help compel the United States government into taking further action.

The artist says that though he’s not a supporter of Trump, he thinks both politicians are racist, and he’d opt for blatant racism over hidden racism. “I did prefer when Trump was in office over Biden and I can tell you clearly why. Black people paid more attention to what was going on,” he began.

Touré says that more people were paying attention because they felt as though they “were in crisis.” Styles P continues, “We were in crisis now, but I’d rather have you tell me you don’t like me and know you don’t like me and you inform me than me have to guess it or you secretly don’t like me but you telling me you don’t like me. I think the government been doing that for ages.“

Styles P Says He’d “Rather Deal With Clear Racism”

“I’d rather deal with clear racism,” he adds. “Just someone being who they are and letting you know where they come from.” Styles P went on to claim that the “country sucked under both” presidents, and made it clear that he’s not a supporter of Trump. As expected, the performer’s statements managed to stir up some debate in the comments section. Many people are saying that his reasoning doesn’t cut it, and accusing him of being a secret Trump supporter. Several others are also accusing him of suggesting that Black people are ignorant.

This all comes amid Donald Trump’s recent arrest, which has expectedly gotten a ton of attention online. Of course, Trump has capitalized on the situation, selling merch and urging people to donate to his campaign. According to reports, he’s made somewhere around $7.1 million since his arrest. Donald Trump turned himself in yesterday at Fulton County Jail in Georgia, facing various RICO charges for his alleged attempt to overthrow the 2020 presidential election. Since he had announced the date and time he would be surrendering, countless social media users eagerly awaited the former president’s mugshot. It was finally unveiled last night, sparking a barrage of memes, edits, and jokes about the image. Various personalities have weighed in on the mugshot, and recently, the current President of the United States Joe Biden even shared his thoughts.

Reporters caught up with Biden today, who was willing to say little about Trump’s arrest. When asked whether or not he had seen the mugshot, he replied, “I did see it on television.” After they urged him to share his opinion on the photo, he simply said, “Handsome guy. Boosie Badazz Thanks Kim Kardashian For Bringing Attention To Corey Miller’s Case

Boosie Badazz recently took to social media, insisting that Corey Miller AKA C-Murder is innocent and calling for him to be released. For those who don’t know, C-Murder, the younger brother of Master P, was arrested back in 2002 for a crime he claims he didn’t commit. He’s accused of shooting and killing a 16-year-old named Steve Thomas outside of a nightclub in Louisiana. Kim Kardashian has been working on the case for some time. She then used her platform to shed light on his case with a Tweet last week.

In her post, she highlighted a new law recently enacted by the state of Louisiana, which should allow convicted individuals to raise claims of factual evidence. “Mr. Miller has raised such a claim,” Kim wrote, “and like all of his prior post-conviction filings, has been denied relief without even so much as an evidentiary hearing.” Due to her major audience, Kim has managed to get several new sets of eyes on the case in hopes that he’s eventually freed. Boosie Badazz thanked Kim for her efforts on Instagram yesterday (August 8), telling her that she’s “greatly appreciated.”

Boosie Asks Joe Biden, Kamala Harris To Free Corey Miller

This was far from the first time Boosie has spoken out about Miller’s case. In 2021, he called on Biden and Harris again, asking for him to be released. He claimed that he expected his friend to be pardoned by Trump on his last day in office. “If his name was on Donald Trump’s desk, I feel like he should’ve gotten a pardon before anybody because he’s innocent,” he explained. “He done almost 20, you know. It’s been 20 years, bro. I was in my feelings that day. That’s my partner. I really want to see him come home, but there’s a lot of doors closing on him.”

Joe Biden Reviews “Oppenheimer” After Seeing Film During Delaware Vacation

President Joe Biden hit up a local theater in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with the First Lady to catch a public screening of Oppenheimer on August 1. The Bidens are spending the week in the popular vacation destination as part of their official summer getaway. Oppenheimer is the latest from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan. The film tells the story of The Manhattan Project through the lens of lead scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer. The Manhattan Project was the codename for the United States’ development of the first atomic bombs.

Much has been made of the release of Oppenheimer, which came out on the same day as Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. Barbie has absolutely dominated the box office and is expected to surpass $1 billion this week. Meanwhile, Oppenheimer has been able to hold its own. At the time of writing, the film has made over $400 million and made nearly $100 million during its domestic opening. Reportedly, there was a showing of Barbie at the same theater at the same time as the Oppenheimer showing the Bidens attended.

Biden Calls Oppenheimer “Compelling”

In a brief exchange with reporters after the movie, Biden called the film “compelling.” The president kept the impromptu Q&A short. Furthermore, he did not answer any questions about the additional federal indictments former President Donald Trump was handed earlier in the day. However, it’s no surprise that Biden chose Oppenheimer over Barbie. The President has previously expressed a love of historical biopics. In 2005, then-Senator Biden told CBS that his favorite movie was Chariots of Fire. The 1981 Oscar winner follows two British athletes who must choose between athletics and their religion while competing at the 1924 Olympics.

However, the question is now whether Biden will also be taking in Barbie. The ensemble comedy has been widely praised by critics. The film follows “Stereotypical Barbie” (Margot Robbie) as she travels from Barbieland to the real world to seek answers as to why her perfect life is beginning to be a lot less perfect. Furthermore, it currently holds an 88% critics rating and 84% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Perhaps Biden will catch a private screening at the White House. However, it’s nice to see the President supporting a local theater while on vacation.

Supreme Court Strikes Down Student Loan Forgiveness, Joe Biden Responds

The Supreme Court has struck down President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan with a 6-3 vote. The conservation majority ruled “federal law does not authorize the program to wipe out nearly half-a-trillion dollars in debt.” The loan forgiveness plan would have canceled up to $20,000 in loans for Pell Grant recipients and $10,000 for other borrowers whose individual income is less than $125,000.

In response to the decision, Biden has vowed that “this fight is not over” and is working on other means of providing debt relief. The President elaborated on the situation in a statement on Friday.

“I believe that the Court’s decision to strike down our student debt relief plan is wrong,” Biden said in a statement. “But I will stop at nothing to find other ways to deliver relief to hard-working middle-class families. My Administration will continue to work to bring the promise of higher education to every American.”

“The hypocrisy of Republican elected officials is stunning. They had no problem with billions in pandemic-related loans to businesses – including hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions of dollars for their own businesses. And those loans were forgiven,” he said. “But when it came to providing relief to millions of hard-working Americans, they did everything in their power to stop it.”

Joe Biden On Student Debt Relief

Striking down student loan forgiveness is just the latest of a series of controversial decisions by the Supreme Court. They also struck down affirmative action programs in college admissions and ruled that businesses can refuse service to LGBTQ+ customers on the basis of religious beliefs. For months now, student loan borrowers have been holding onto hope that Joe Biden’s plan to forgive up to $20K in loans per borrower would come to pass. Now, though, we know that it won’t: Today (June 30), the Supreme Court voted 6-3 to overturn the Biden administration’s student loan debt cancellation plan.

Meek Mill had a quick reaction to that, comparing the situation to how much funding the government devotes to other areas. He tweeted, “why are we having a problem with money for education but giving money away for war?? I’ve been seeing this narrative on the news since a child I’ll never understand it!”

Biden is in the same camp as Meek: After the SCOTUS decision was revealed, Biden shared a statement that reads in part, “The hypocrisy of Republican elected officials is stunning. The United States women’s national team is headed to Australia and New Zealand this summer with the hopes of becoming the first team to ever win the FIFA Women’s World Cup three times in a row. After lifting the World Cup in Canada in 2015 and France in 2019, the Americans have their sights set on history — not only would going back-to-back-to-back be unprecedented, but winning this time around with mark the fifth time they’ve won the tournament.

Wednesday was a big day for the team, as U.S. Soccer announced the 23 players who will make up the squad this time around. Joe Biden Confusingly Remarks, “God Save The Queen”

Joe Biden ended a speech in Connecticut at the National Safer Communities Summit at the University of Hartford on Friday by remarking, “God save the Queen, man,” to the audience. The comment comes months after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed at the age of 96, last September.

When asked for context to the quote, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Alair Dalton told CT Insider that Biden was speaking directly to someone in the audience. “He couldn’t do the full rope line due to weather, and was commenting to someone in the crowd,” Dalton wrote in an email.

Biden previously reflected on Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in a White House statement, last year. “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was more than a monarch. She defined an era,” Biden wrote at the time. “We first met the queen in 1982, traveling to the UK as part of a Senate delegation. And we were honored that she extended her hospitality to us in June 2021 during our first overseas trip as President and First Lady, where she charmed us with her wit, moved us with her kindness and generously shared with us her wisdom.”

Joe Biden Confuses Supporters

Elsewhere in Biden’s speech, he called for several gun control measures including universal background checks and banning AR-15s. “A lot of you are tired. You’re tired. No, I get it. Try being 110 and doing it again,” Biden said. “Whether your Democrat or Republic we all want families to be safe. We all want to drop them off at a house of worship, a mall, a movie, a school door without worrying that’s the last time we’re ever see them.” The speech comes as Biden continues to prepare for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
