Jeezy Is Not Complying With His Rigorous Divorce Settlement Stipulations, According To His Now Ex-Wife Jeannie Mai

In his cocky bars on JT’s “Okay” remix, Jeezy bragged that a rocky divorce wouldn’t stop from enjoying the summer months. But the “Super Hero” rapper’s now ex-wife, Emmy Award-winning TV host, Jeannie Mai claims that he still has a list of things to do before he can act out his “single as a dollar bill” line.

In an exclusive report published by TMZ, Jeannie Mai accused Jeezy of failing to comply with the stipulations outlined in their divorce settlement.

Jeannie claimed that Jeezy did not make good on his coverage of daycare costs and school tuition for their daughter Monaco reportedly amounting to $4,000. The court document also stated that Jeezy hasn’t provided Jeannie with access to an investment account (supposedly in the amount of $500,000) for their daughter.

Outside of his parental obligations, Jeannie stated that she is still waiting for Jeezy to reimburse her for four months of her rent (allegedly totaling $92,417.39). Lastly, Jeannie argued that Jeezy hasn’t yet transferred the titles of a 2021 Range Rover and a 2022 Ford Bronco into her name. His supposed lack of action has allegedly prevented her from securing insurance or from having one of the vehicles shipped from their former martial residence in Atlanta to her newly established residence in Los Angeles.

Jeezy has not yet issued a legal response or public statement regarding Jeannie Mai’s claims.

Jeezy Makes Light Of Jeannie Mai Divorce On New Remix Of JT’s “OKAY”

Jeezy graced the remix of JT’s “OKAY” yesterday (Friday, June 28), and fans quickly realized that it was a much messier single than they perhaps anticipated. Moreover, there are multiple bars from the former on here than either outright reference or subtly allude to his contentious and drama-filled divorce from Jeannie Mai. “Summer 24, I’m single as a dollar bill,” he raps on the cut. “Handsome and wealthy, can’t forget the fact a n***a real.” It seems like The Snowman really wanted to make a statement and speak on his current state with this remix, and we’re sure that this won’t be the last addition to this saga.

However, some fans might be confused because, as far as they knew, Jeezy and Jeannie Mai just finalized their divorce earlier this month. The process was very combative, including domestic abuse allegations against the rapper and claims that he unsafely kept an AK-47 in their home and brandished it while leaving many firearms and a lot of ammunition in easily accessible places. “Why you got choppers in ya house? ‘Cause I’m a n***a still / A b***h’ll never catch me slipping, yeah, banana peel / Ever lost a real one? You dropped the ball baby,” he raps on the “OKAY” remix.

Elsewhere on the song, Jeezy flexes his longevity by challenging hip-hop’s biggest story of 2024 so far: the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. “You’re taking off this summer? I said n***a, naw / All I’m hearing about is Drizzy Drake and K.Dot / Been on fire twenty years, b***h, I stay hot,” he spits on the track. It would be very interesting to hear what an Atlanta legend like himself would have to say about that battle. Did the 6ix God run to him for a couple of dollars or did he wipe Kendrick down?

Regardless, Jeezy did receive some defense from his circle amid the Jeannie Mai divorce, and so did she from her loved ones. Hopefully things slow down in the future and they turn this sad end into an amicable, accountable, and responsible future. These moments are never easy, and perhaps rapping about it on a record will exacerbate this difficulty. But only time will tell.

JT Grabs The Trap Rap OG Jeezy For Remix Of “OKAY”

JT is doing one heck of a job this year. Whether it be her solo work or team-ups, the Miami, Florida rapper has not missed a beat at any point. After making some noise last summer with “No Bars”, the run she has been on since then is quite remarkable. She nabbed a massive song on Kali Uchis’ latest record ORQUIDEAS with “Munekita”. Her and TDE signee Doechii were all gas and no brakes on “Alter Ego”. Then, you have her laid-back and confident “Sideways” to pair with the high-octane “OKAY”. The latter is now getting a new version and it is arguably better than the original. For the remix of “OKAY”, JT is teaming up with Jeezy and this was honestly the perfect selection.

It seems that JT was somewhat inspired by the 2000s and the bling era, a period in which the feature thrived in. The triumphant, horn-filled instrumental for “OKAY” is something that Jeezy would have certainly rapped over and its why this marriage works so well. The Atlanta legend kicks the remix off, delivering some hilarious one-liners. At one point, he even makes a reference to the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef, claiming that even though it is all the craze right now, he has still managed to stay relevant through it. As for the rest of the structure, it remains the same. This alternate version of “OKAY” could certainly be a bonus track for JT’s upcoming solo album, City Cinderella. We still do not have information in regard to the album cover or release date, but it should be coming in 2024. For now, give the remix a try below.

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai Finalize Their Divorce, Seal Settlement

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai’s divorce is officially final. It comes one year after they separated and featured dramatic accusations on both sides.

According to TMZ, the terms of the divorce settlement are sealed, leaving no details on how assets and other assets are split. Previous reports state Mai asked not to have the prenuptial agreement enforced as she did not have enough time to review it properly before their wedding in March 2021.

A custody agreement for their two-year-old daughter was also sealed after what Jeezy called a “stifled” relationship with his daughter. Opposing the statement, Mai stated Jeezy was unfaithful, didn’t properly secure firearms, and would “walk around the house carrying an AK-47,” sharing images. Mai also said there were moments of domestic violence, stating the rapper physically and verbally abused her. In response, Jeezy called the allegations “deeply disturbing” and was said to “tarnish” his character.

Last month, Jeannie Mai thanked Cassie for speaking out against Diddy. Hitting the comments of Cassie’s Instagram post, Mai wrote:

“In every echo of your bravery, there lies a melody of hope that dances through the silence. Your voice has been a shield and sanctuary for many, including me. Thank you for turning your fight into your light.”

Cassie issued a thank you message for the kind words and support that she has received after a video of Diddy assaulting her went viral.

Jeezy denied allegations of domestic abuse and child neglect levied on him by Jeannie Mai. Hitting Instagram, Jeezy released a statement.

“The allegations are not only false, but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved. This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous,” Jeezy wrote to social media. “It’s disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court mandated joint custody. Rest assured, the truth will prevail through the proper legal channels.”

Complex notes Mai accused Jeezy of domestic violence in court documents, stating he abused her four different times, including choking her and pushing her down stairs at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco in April 2022. Mai also stated Jeezy punched her in the face weeks after she gave birth.

Jeannie Mai is in the middle of a pretty contentious divorce from Jeezy, and is apparently seeing her story reflected in other big pop culture developments. Specifically, she reacted to new footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie and responded to the former Bad Boy artist’s message to fans about their support and her journey. “In every echo of your bravery, Cassie, there lies a melody of hope that dances through the silence,” Mai wrote to Cassie. “Your voice has been a shield and sanctuary for many, including me. Thank you for turning your fight into your light.” Of course, fans found it hard to see this in any other context that wasn’t relating to her current situation.

Moreover, Jeannie Mai accused Jeezy of subjecting her to domestic abuse and child neglect, exhibiting behavior that included “explosive outbursts, excessive drinking, and domestic violence.” The rapper denied any and all claims on social media, labeling them as “not only false but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone [he] loved.” As such, there are a lot of conflicting narrative points in their legal battle, so the public is still very unclear as to what actually went down and how the court will respond. Given that the two started a family, this will probably be one of the more combative and potentially ugly parts of this debacle, as they will fight staunchly to stay connected. While this situation is very different to that of Diddy and Cassie, it’s understandable why people drew these links before Mai even said anything. Maybe it’s not because of the actual circumstances, but more because of the timing of both of these stories.

In both cases, especially relating to Diddy’s various sexual assault lawsuits, there are claims and accusations that the court still hasn’t verified at press time. Per People, the former host of The Real detailed disturbing incidents in a recent court filing, accusing Jeezy of exhibiting “explosive outbursts, excessive drinking, and domestic violence.” While Jeezy has denied the allegations, it’s evident that their relationship is currently beyond repair. Last week, Jeezy sought primary custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Monaco. Tensions reached a boiling point as Jeezy escalated the pressure in their divorce proceedings by filing for primary custody of Monaco. The move came after Jeezy claimed that Mai was limiting his access to their daughter, sparking a bitter custody battle that has captured headlines.

According to reports from TMZ, Jeezy alleges that Mai has been obstructing his visitation rights and restricting his ability to spend time with Monaco.
