50 Cent, Drake, Nicki Minaj, And More Weigh In On Will Smith’s Wild Oscars Moment

Good morning. So, last night, every ounce of West Philly jumped out of Safe Black Guy Will Smith, who left fresh prints (heyo) on Chris Rock’s face during the Academy Awards after Rock made an ill-considered joke at the expense of Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith. In 2021, Jada revealed her ongoing struggle with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder that can make a person’s hair fall out. Rock, perhaps not realizing this, remarked that Jada’s freshly-shaved head could make her a candidate to star in a G.I. Jane remake (the titular character shaves her head upon joining the US Marines).

In a video taken from an international broadcast of the ceremony, Jada’s face says it all. For Will, who has had to put up with years of jokes about the couple’s marriage, this last straw broke the camel’s back, and he strode onto the stage to make an example of Rock, slapping him across the face. Although Rock tried to play the moment off, Will shouted from his seat: “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth.” Fortunately, it seems Rock is taking things in stride, and according to Diddy, the two men had nothing but love afterward.

Obviously, those who saw the moment, whether live in person or watching at home, have thoughts about the possible overreaction, and the hot takes flew fast and furious on social media — including among Will Smith’s celebrity peers, including rappers like 50 Cent, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and more.

While 50, Drake, and others brought out the jokes, Nicki gave an empathetic — and vaguely threatening — take, expressing empathy for Jada Pinkett Smith. “Imagine what it must feel like to be losing your hair to the point where you have to shave it bald,” she wrote. “You think that’s easy to deal with for anyone? You don’t think she’s cried about that many times? 2022 y’all gon have to see these men about those jokes you made about their wives.”

The LeBron James Family Foundation has received a $1 million Bitcoin donation from Drake and Stake.com.

When the basketball star came visited Toronto with the LA Lakers, the multi-platinum award-winning artist hosted James at upscale Toronto restaurant Harbour 60 to personally pledge his earnings.

Drake’s greatest Stake.com gift to date comes on the heels of his ‘biggest ever hit’ on the premium global crypto betting platform’s roulette tables, thanks to a winning wager on black 11, which he documented in an Instagram video post.

“Speaking of memorable nights, I had an incredible night last night playing roulette on Stake.com. It was my biggest hit ever,” Drake said. “As you can see, I was clearly excited. Any time I get blessed like that, I always think it’s luck that needs to be transferred, or it’s good karma that needs to be transferred. “I play for fun and I play in the hope that I can spread love, always.”

Speaking to James in a private dining room, Drake said: “I’ve been trying to figure out what we can do to help you. Myself and Eddie from Stake.com are going to dedicate $1m to the I Promise School and I’m going to come and drop it off myself before the school year is over.”

Mabel, the mother of Michael, a high school basketball player at Royal Crown Academy in Toronto, was also given $100,000 by Drake in an effort to help the family and offer the highly-rated youngster the best chance of success. Drake and Stake.com’s $1 million Bitcoin donation to the LeBron James Foundation is the betting platform’s most recent philanthropic move, following their $1 million Bitcoin donation to the people of Ukraine.

LeBron James and Drake surprise Toronto Family with $100,000

LeBron James Drake

LeBron James and Drake are two of the most blessed celebrities in their respective industry- and recently they teamed up to share their blessings with one deserving family in a big way.

Drake shared a video on Instagram in which he invited a Toronto-area teen named Michael, who plays basketball for the Royal Crown Academic School in Toronto as well as his mom and his coach to dinner at Toronto’s Harbour 60 restaurant, the same place where his 2011 “Headlines” video was filmed.

He starts out by plugging Stake, James’ crypto gambling platform, as well as Lobos tequila. The clip shows a cutaway video of Drake winning big while playing roulette on Stake, then saying that he believes in transferring similar blessings to others.

Drake then tells Michael, his mom, and his coach how proud he is of their hard work before giving Michael and his mom $100,000 cash as well as giving both Michael and his coach new shoes.

In addition to the gift for Michael and his family, Drake also made a donation to James’ I Promise School.

Drake Says He Will Donate $1 Million To LeBron James’ I Promise School

Drake has been in quite the giving mood as of late. Earlier this month, he and Jack Harlow, who were on vacation in Turks & Caicos, surprised a singer who covered Drake’s 2013 song “Hold On, We’re Going Home” with a gracious gift of $20,000. That came after Drake surprised a different fan with $10,000 during that same trip with Harlow. In Drake’s latest move, he’s committing a large amount of money towards a good cause that’s connected to his longtime friend LeBron James.

Over the weekend, LeBron celebrated the launch of Lobos 1707, a tequila and mezcal brand founded by Diego Osorio and one LeBron was an earlier backer of. The celebration was quite the star-studded event as it featured appearances from Drake, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Trevor Ariza, and Carmelo Anthony. It was at this event that Drake congratulated LeBron on the launch with a special donation. “I’ve been trying to figure out what I can do for, obviously, this moment,” he said. “So, I am going to, myself and Eddie from Stake, we’re going to dedicate $1 million to the I Promise School and I’m going to come drop it off myself.”

Ed Craven, the co-founder of Stake which is a bitcoin casino and sports betting platform, is who Drake is referring to in his announcement.

You can check out the video of Drake committing to the donation above.

J Prince Wants Drake, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, And More To Hold A Hip-Hop Show On Grammy Night

J Prince is at it again. Months after he somehow orchestrated a reconciliation between Kanye West and Drake, who held their Larry Hoover benefit concert shortly after they patched things up, the Rap-A-Lot Records CEO is back with another idea. J Prince wants a number of hip-hop artists to come together to hold a hip-hop show the same night as the Grammys which would be on April 3. He shared a lengthy audio message on Instagram that explained the inspiration behind his idea.

“I’ve been watching the Grammys control and dictate our culture to their benefit up close and personal for the past 30 years that I’ve been in the music business,” he wrote. “And all the artists, managers, and executives would do is complain but never have the nuts to come together to do anything about it.” He later added, “This is a slave master, punish a n**** mentality and act to remind us that no matter how much money we have, we’re still n****s in their eyes. So they cancel Kanye and discriminated against Drake, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, and many others over the years. This will only be broken by us uniting our powers to bring about change moving forward.”

He then revealed his proposal to have Drake, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, and more come together to lead the hip-hop show. J Prince went as far as to say the show should take place in Las Vegas where the Grammys are set to take place.

“I recommend that the artists I mentioned above—and more—come together in Las Vegas and perform at the same time as the Grammys on a special network and streaming platform to prove that ratings will change where the Grammys are concerned when the No. 1 selling genre in music — hip-hop — come together,” he said. “Because there’s power in numbers.” He concluded by saying, “The powers that be will be mad at me about this one. But f*ck ’em! I love the culture. The seed has been planted; let’s water it.”

You can listen to J Prince’s full audio message about the proposed hip-hop show and what inspired it above.
