Mase Reveals Paul George Confronted Him Over Cam’Ron’s Podcast Comments

Mase and Cam’ron are no strangers to discussing fellow celebrities on their podcast It Is What It Is. That often includes sports coverage as they’re both big sports fans, though sometimes it can get them into hot water. Earlier this year they found themselves receiving some backlash over a segment they did about concerning allegations made against Dwight Howard. In the clip, they seem to primarily take issue with Howard’s sexuality more so than the actual concerning accusations he’s facing.

They’ve also been known to talk about Paul George in particular quite a bit in the past. The two hosts recently appeared on the Stephen A. Smith Show where they talked about how that made an actual encounter with George a bit awkward. Cam explains that he brought up Paul George after Hornets rookie Brandon Miller called him the GOAT. “I went crazy and said I don’t know what this kid is smokin,’ I don’t know where he’s been but he’s out his damn mind sayin’ Paul George is the GOAT,” he explained. Mase Dealing With Reactions To Cam’Ron’s Comments

Cam explained that Ma$e eventually ran into Paul George in person. “Fast-forward three weeks later, Paul George sees Ma$e at Summer League and says, ‘Why I can’t be the GOAT? What’s goin’ on, Ma$e? Tell Cam why I can’t be the GOAT?’” Ma$e explains that he didn’t know how to handle the situation and ended up just calling Cam. When he picked up Ma$e said “Yo Cam, Paul George and them got me surrounded right now — why you say he can’t be the GOAT?”

Earlier this month the pair once again drew attention for something they said on their podcast. In the clip, they said they would choose DMX over Tupac in a best rapper debate, which many fans disagreed with. Cam’ron Takes Aim At Skip Bayless For “Using” Lil Wayne & Yella Beezy For Clout

Cam’ron is someone who does not mince words. Overall, this is especially true on his new sports talk show, It Is What It Is. He and Ma$e have renewed their friendship on this show, and it has been great to see. As you probably know, these two have taken aim at plenty of figures this season. However, they have a lot of respect because of these tactics. Fans love the show, and it will not be going away, anytime soon.

Recently, Cam decided to go after Skip Bayless while OJ Simpson was on the show. Essentially, Cam takes issue with the fact that Bayless seemingly “uses” black people to make himself appear cooler. For instance, he referenced the fact that Lil Wayne, Yella Beezy, and Bubba Dub have all been on the show. Cam feels like Skip is trying too hard and that if there is a show they should go on, it would be It Is What It Is.

Cam’ron Says His Peace

“Yo if anybody that’s popping on the Gram, social media — do not go up there for free cause them n**** is getting the bag, my n***a. Cam’ron Credits Gillie Da Kid & Wallo For Squashing Mase Beef, Dame Dash Weighs In

During a recent episode of It Is What It Is, Cam’ron chatted with Gillia Da Kid and Wallo about his past beef with Cam’ron. The duo have known each other since they were kids, and slowly started to part ways after forming Children of the Corn together. Cam’ron later accused Mase of being a “fraud,” and they went on to feud publicly before making up years later. According to Mase, money drove a wedge between them, as Cam thought he was refusing to share cash that he didn’t actually have.

Cam’ron explained that Gillie Da Kid and Wallo played a major role in their reunion, and took the opportunity to thank them. “Thank you guys also for helping connect me and Mase, and putting this sh*t together for us,” he said. “To be honest with you, and we talked about this on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, we may not even still be speaking right now without you guys’ platform.”

Dame Dash also spoke on their reunion during a recent interview, revealing that he feels as though it’s what they both deserve.

“You know how happy that makes me? You know I used to manage them?” he began. “To see this and them realize their potential, I always wanted them in front of cameras.” Dame Dash went on, continuing to praise their friendship. “I’m just saying that they happy and that they finally gained the credit they deserve and it had to happen.”

As two seasoned MCs, they have a lot to say about the rap game, and as seasoned celebrities, they have a lot of unique perspectives on pop culture. One of these takes came concerning Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS clothing brand, which recently became an official partner of the NBA. In fact, Killa Cam couldn’t help but squint at his co-host when he revealed that he tried on a piece from the brand when he heard this news. The “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems” spitter actually enjoyed how it fit, and the Dipset leader had to hold his tongue.

“I’m not gon’ lie,” Mase began his remarks on the shape-wear brand, which caused Cam’ron to prepare for some unfortunate roasts. “When I put the SKIMS tank top on, my ribs stopped hurting. So shoutout to SKIMS. I wouldn’t wear it, wear it but somebody sent it to me and I wanted to see. It wasn’t the one-piece, it was just the tank top.”

Cam’ron Teases Addition Of Former Big Name NBA Player To “It Is What It Is”

Cam’ron teased fans of It Is What It Is when he took to social media to hint at adding a new face to the lineup. “You already know, we about to get this meeting done,” Cam says in the clip. “It’s probably gonna be the biggest signing to the It Is What It Is team. The signing today is gonna be crazy,” Cam’ron told the camera in the brief clip. Along with the clip, Cam’ron also included a photo of him with two NBA legends – Mark Jackson and Metta Sandiford-Artest.

Jackson, laid off by ESPN earlier this year, is a New York native taken 18th overall in 1987 out of St. John’s. Named Rookie of the Year, Jackson would play nearly two decades in the league. After retiring in 2004, he would later return as a coach, heading the Warriors between 2011 and 2014. Meanwhile, Metta Sandiford-Artest (fka Ron Artest, fka Metta World Peace) is a more recent product of St John’s. Taking 16th overall in 1999, Metta also spent nearly 20 years in the league. He picked up a ring along the way, winning the 2010 title alongside Kobe and the Lakers.

Of course, It Is What It Is is getting fully into its NBA coverage now that the season is underway. However, Cam’ron was already being irksome to some league sources even before play tipped off last week. Rich Paul reportedly defended Anthony Davis after the Lakers star came under some harsh criticism from Cam’ron. “Shout-out to my man Rich Paul. Whoever is Rich Paul’s clients, you guys should feel very lucky. He doesn’t let nothing slide. He’s very passionate about his clients. He’ll call and try to check you about his clients. He texted me like, ‘Y’all kinda went hard on Anthony Davis the other day.’ Just in case y’all missed the episode, there was a statement where LeBron said, ‘This is the year they want to hand the team over to Anthony Davis.’ And we up here and we made a little fun of Anthony Davis,” Cam’ron said on a recent episode of It Is What It Is.

However, Cam’ron didn’t entirely offer a mea culpa, defending his comments as well. “I texted Rich Paul back that’s my man you know we Ohio and all that. I texted him back, ‘Yo Rich listen, maybe I’m on the outside looking in, but I thought that was the whole reason he left New Orleans anyway. He got to the Lakers and I thought that was LeBron saying, ‘Okay cool, I got somebody young on the team,’” the Dipset rapper added. “I can defer to him and this is a four-year project that hasn’t taken the team over and I relayed that to Rich. I thought that was the plan from the jump to give him the team and LeBron is about to be 39 and we still have to go about LeBron giving him the team. LeBron been ready to defer and give him the team,” Cam’ron argued.

Cam’ron Does Hilarious OJ Simpson Impression While Dressed As Him For Halloween

Cam’ron and Mase have been experiencing a whirlwind of success thanks to their new show, It Is What It Is. The show has been active for months at this point, and it has proven to be a massive success. Although some people have criticized them for their lack of statistical analysis, others prefer it that way. Overall, they approach it from a fan perspective. Furthermore, they are completely independent which means they do not have to censor themselves. Instead, they can do as they please.

For instance, they have been able to get away with having OJ Simpson on the show, every single Monday. OJ is a very controversial figure and for good reason. However, Cam and Mase have welcomed him onto the show with open arms. He is a mainstay whenever they discuss football, and that won’t change anytime soon. The guys are grateful for OG, and it seems like Cam decided to pay it forward by going as the former NFL star for Halloween.

Cam’ron Reveals His Costume

In the clip above, you can see that Cam does a very good impersonation of Simpson. Furthermore, he had on a vintage Buffalo Bills jersey and even had a vintage helmet. As Cam’ron explains in the clip, the jersey was gifted to him by OJ himself. Even the helmet was a gift and it is all authentic retro gear. So much so that the Bills logo was peeling off of the side of the helmet. It made for a pretty cool costume, and the It Is What It Is fans thought it was pretty cool, as well.

We’re sure there are going to be a few people going as OJ Simpson for Halloween. However, we doubt those costumes will be as flattering as Cam’s. Mase Gives Bizarre Monologue About Dwight Howard Situation

Ma$e weighed in on the unfolding situation Dwight Howard situation on the most recent episode of It Is What It Is. In a bizarre monologue, Ma$e focused more on the fact that Howard admitted to a threesome with another man than anything else. “We gotta stop saying it doesn’t matter what happens behind closed doors because it does matter. People wouldn’t be talking about it if it didn’t matter. There’s a reason that 30 teams didn’t sign Dwight Howard,” the rapper argued. At no point in the monologue does Ma$e refer to the accusations being made against Howard.

Dwight Howard has formally denied sexually assaulting model Stephen Harper. Howver, he did not deny inviting Harper to his home for a threesome, which allegedly involved an individual named Kitty. Based on the accounts given by Howard and Harper, it is unclear if Kitty is a transgender individual or simply a cross-dresser. Furthermore, Harper alleges that he was forced to perform sexual acts on Howard and that Howard performed non-consensual acts on him after he objected to participating in the account. Howard has been sued by Harper but has not been formally charged with a crime.

However, it’s not the first time that Ma$e has addressed the Dwight Howard allegations. Back in August, he and Cam’ron appeared to imply that Dwight Howard’s sexuality was more of a concern than the sexual assault allegations against him. In the episode, Cam’ron claimed that days before the assault allegations were made public, Howard’s team reached out. Their intention was apparently to secure an appearance for Howard. Cam’ron then proceeded to ask his co-host how he would react. In particular, given the revelations, how he would react if he was on a team and playing with Howard. “I don’t want to say it because we’re on the air. But I would probably want Howard to have his own space,” Ma$e argued. The comment implied that he would want Howard segregated from the team due to his attraction to men.

Cam’ron appears to agree with Ma$e, bringing up a video where Odell Beckham Jr. appears to appreciate his teammates’ asses. But don’t worry, Cam’ron later clarifies that he’s not homophobic because he “got gay relatives”. However, what’s most telling is that during this entire clip, no one actually brings up the allegations Howard has been hit with. The entire conversation is done through the lens of Howard’s sexuality, not the heinous acts he has been accused of committing.
