Cam’ron Teases Addition Of Former Big Name NBA Player To “It Is What It Is”

Cam’ron teased fans of It Is What It Is when he took to social media to hint at adding a new face to the lineup. “You already know, we about to get this meeting done,” Cam says in the clip. “It’s probably gonna be the biggest signing to the It Is What It Is team. The signing today is gonna be crazy,” Cam’ron told the camera in the brief clip. Along with the clip, Cam’ron also included a photo of him with two NBA legends – Mark Jackson and Metta Sandiford-Artest.

Jackson, laid off by ESPN earlier this year, is a New York native taken 18th overall in 1987 out of St. John’s. Named Rookie of the Year, Jackson would play nearly two decades in the league. After retiring in 2004, he would later return as a coach, heading the Warriors between 2011 and 2014. Meanwhile, Metta Sandiford-Artest (fka Ron Artest, fka Metta World Peace) is a more recent product of St John’s. Taking 16th overall in 1999, Metta also spent nearly 20 years in the league. He picked up a ring along the way, winning the 2010 title alongside Kobe and the Lakers.

Rich Paul Confronts Cam’ron

Of course, It Is What It Is is getting fully into its NBA coverage now that the season is underway. However, Cam’ron was already being irksome to some league sources even before play tipped off last week. Rich Paul reportedly defended Anthony Davis after the Lakers star came under some harsh criticism from Cam’ron. “Shout-out to my man Rich Paul. Whoever is Rich Paul’s clients, you guys should feel very lucky. He doesn’t let nothing slide. He’s very passionate about his clients. He’ll call and try to check you about his clients. He texted me like, ‘Y’all kinda went hard on Anthony Davis the other day.’ Just in case y’all missed the episode, there was a statement where LeBron said, ‘This is the year they want to hand the team over to Anthony Davis.’ And we up here and we made a little fun of Anthony Davis,” Cam’ron said on a recent episode of It Is What It Is.

However, Cam’ron didn’t entirely offer a mea culpa, defending his comments as well. “I texted Rich Paul back that’s my man you know we Ohio and all that. I texted him back, ‘Yo Rich listen, maybe I’m on the outside looking in, but I thought that was the whole reason he left New Orleans anyway. He got to the Lakers and I thought that was LeBron saying, ‘Okay cool, I got somebody young on the team,’” the Dipset rapper added. “I can defer to him and this is a four-year project that hasn’t taken the team over and I relayed that to Rich. I thought that was the plan from the jump to give him the team and LeBron is about to be 39 and we still have to go about LeBron giving him the team. LeBron been ready to defer and give him the team,” Cam’ron argued.

Adult Film Company Offers Mark Jackson $1 Million to Be Play-by-Play Announcer for Adult Cam Shows

In a shocking turn of events, ESPN bid farewell to longtime NBA analyst Mark Jackson, leaving fans and colleagues surprised and curious about the reasons behind the network’s decision. Jackson, a former NBA player and coach, had been a prominent face on ESPN’s basketball coverage for several years, making the news of his departure all the more striking.

During his tenure with ESPN, Mark Jackson brought a unique perspective to the network’s coverage, blending his experience as a player and coach with his charismatic on-air presence. His basketball acumen and strong opinions drew polarizing reactions from viewers, making him a focal point of discussions and debates. Many appreciated his insights, while others found his commentary too controversial or biased.
Rumors circulated about behind-the-scenes tensions at ESPN, suggesting that internal disagreements, particularly regarding Jackson’s on-air remarks, might have played a significant role in his dismissal. Some of his statements were perceived as crossing professional boundaries or expressing personal beliefs that did not align with the network’s image of neutrality.

One of the most notable controversies during Jackson’s time at ESPN revolved around his support for fellow NBA player Stephen Curry, whom Jackson coached during his stint as the Golden State Warriors’ head coach. Critics claimed that this partiality affected his objectivity as an analyst, leading to concerns about impartiality in his analysis.

Adult Film Company Offers Mark Jackson $1 Million to Be Play-by-Play Announcer for Adult Cam Shows

After ESPN’s recent decision to lay off NBA analyst Mark Jackson, an unexpected offer has come his way. Adult webcam site CamSoda has extended a jaw-dropping $1,000,000 offer to Jackson to provide play-by-play analysis during their live cam shows.

In a quirky twist, the company has even suggested that Jackson can use his famous catchphrase, “Grown Man Move,” during sensational moments when couples perform intimate acts.

The offer adds an amusing and unconventional dimension to Jackson’s career options, leaving fans and the industry curious about his response to this unique proposition.

CamSoda’s Vice President, Daryn Parker, penned a letter to Jackson:

Dear Mark Jackson,

My condolences on being laid off by ESPN and vacating your role as an NBA analyst at the worldwide leader in sports.

Now that you’re out of a job and in search of work, I’d like to formally extend you an offer. We here at CamSoda – an adult webcam site – would like to hire you as the company’s first-ever play-by-play announcer for adult cam shows. You’d call private cam sessions just like you had been calling NBA games, commentating on the action playing out in front of your very eyes. You can even use your catchphrase, “Grown Man Move” for sensational moments during couples shows when the man bangs down low and goes strong to the hole.

In return for hiring you as CamSoda’s play-by-play announcer – a role you would have to serve for one full year – we’d be willing to compensate you up to $1,000,000.

Please take some time to consider my offer. I’d like to get you back on the mic and calling the…action…ASAP.

Mark Jackson was let go by ESPN on Monday (July 31). His departure highlights a complete switch of the flagship team for the company’s NBA coverage. Previously, ESPN let go of Jeff Van Gundy during a massive run of layoffs.

According to the New York Post, Van Gundy and Jackson will be replaced by Doris Burke and Roc Rivers, making a new three-man team with Mike Breen. ESPN did not offer a statement.

On Monday, Jackson released a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter: “This morning, unexpectedly, I was informed that my services were no longer needed at ESPN. Although shocked and dismayed with the suddenness of it all, I would like to thank ESPN and all the staff of the NBA ESPN crew for allowing me to be a part of the organization for the past 15+ years. … It has been an honor to sit beside two LEGENDS in the business, who are like brothers to me, Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy, and learn so much from them. Lisa Salters is a GOAT and like a sister to me and I’m so proud of the work she continues to do. … To all of the staff and crew, that may have never been seen on camera…please know that you were always seen by me and so greatly appreciated.”

Mark Jackson Apologizes For Jokić MVP Snub

MVP voting is always controversial. With limited spots on the ballots, some players are bound to be left off despite having a strong claim to the title. However, to say that Nikola Jokić was not deserving of the MVP title in 2023 at all is certainly a take.

Jokić put up an average of 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists in 69 regular-season games this season. While that is a significant dip in some categories from his MVP season last year, it’s still a fantastic season. He may have been 18th in scoring, but he was top-three in both rebounds and assists. However, that wasn’t good enough for former coach and broadcaster Mark Jackson, who left Jokić off his MVP ballot.

Jackson Apologizes, Calling Jokić Snub An “Honest Mistake”

Jackson, who coached the Warriors between 2011 and 2014, had his ballot revealed along with all other voters on Thursday. His ballot featured Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Donovan Mitchell. Jackson claims that he simply forgot about Jokić when filling out his ballot. “One thing I live by, you make a mistake, you own it,” Jackson said in an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio’s Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson. “Absolute mistake made by me… In thinking how did I make that mistake: you can tell I put one center, two forwards and two guards. So I wasn’t even thinking.”

However, he quickly went on to apologize for the bizarre snub. “I apologize to the Denver Nuggets. I apologize to Nikola Jokić, who is not only in the MVP discussion and deserved to be on my ballot but he is one of the greatest players in the history of this game and a top-10 center of all time. So I own it. If you want to take away my vote or do whatever, more than welcome. I made a mistake.” While it’s nice that Jackson apologized, it’s still a bizarre snub. He remembered Gilgeous-Alexander and Mitchell but completely forgot about the star player on the #1 team in the Conference he used to coach in. Do you believe Jackson? Or do you think he’s not telling the truth about why Jokić was left off his ballot? Let us know in the comments.
