Joey Bada$$ On Serayah Dating Rumors

A recently buzzing rumored relationship just got a stop sign from one of its alleged subjects. During a recent interview with Complex, Joey Bada$$ responded to rumors that he and singer and actress Serayah were dating. Moreover, the Wu-Tang: An American Saga costars sparked dating claims when they were boo’d up for an Instagram post. Not only that, but said picture seemed to promote Joey’s upcoming music video for his track “Show Me,” in which they starred as a couple. From what he told the publication, however, it was all part of the plan.

“We’re not [together],” the 1999 MC revealed. “Well, honestly, it wasn’t anything that wasn’t anticipated at first, but when we got back all the assets, like the photos, you know, I started to kind of like, ‘Oh, there’s something that could be done with these. This could tell the story.’ So that’s kinda what I wanted to do. I knew it was gonna catch people by surprise a little bit. That was the hardest part, was kinda waiting 48 hours, to like, you know I mean? They was wilin.’”

Joey Bada$$ Denies He’s Dating Serayah

Elsewhere, he also spoke to xoNecole about his relationship with the California native, and also dished out some dismissals of fan theories. “Serayah and I — I’m trying to think, when did we cross paths?” the 28-year-old began. “We have some mutual friends. I think we found ourselves at a few, like, at the same events. And we just became really cool, you know? We got a pretty cool friendship, and I think she’s gorgeous. I think she’s talented. She was in the studio with me one time and she heard the song, and I know that she really liked the song.

“When it came to shooting the video, I just kind of proposed the idea to her and she was down, you know what I’m saying?” Jozif Badmon went on. “Shout out to Serayah because she really came through for me and she killed it. She killed it. I’m single, to to clear all the confusion on that up. I don’t know; things could happen. Or have those things happened? Not necessarily. It’s not anybody’s business, but for those who are wondering, yes, I am single. The speculation and everything could die now.” Regardless of his testimony, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Joey Bada$$ and Serayah.

Lil Dicky Says Usher Is The Reason He Strips During Concerts

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lil Dicky revealed that he strips during his shows because of Usher. The rapper and actor, whose real name is Dave Burd, was on the late-night talk show to promote his show Dave. The show, which is now entering its third season, is semi-autobiographical. It follows the story of a suburban white man who manages to convince himself that he is going to be a great rapper. Dave has featured many illustrious guest stars from the music industry, including Doja Cat, Lil Yachty, Justin Bieber, and Trippie Redd.

Dave Burd is a comedian, actor, and rapper hailing from Philadelphia. According to him, rap was more of a path to a career in comedy. However, after he released his first mixtape entitled So Hard in 2013 under the moniker “Lil Dicky”, he fell in love with rapping. Since then, he has released a second mixtape, a full studio album, an EP, and countless singles. Though much of his music may be comedic in nature, it hasn’t stopped him from getting huge features from big-league artists like Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown.

Seeing Usher Made Lil Dicky Weep

In his promo tour for Dave, Lil Dicky stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about a whole host of topics, including some of his inspirations. While talking to Kimmel, he reminisced about the time he saw Usher in concert as a child. “I see this man on stage, and I remember weeping watching him as he would strip down into his underwear,” he said. “And honestly, I now, strip down to my underwear when I get shows, because of Usher.”

In season 3 of Dave, viewers can expect to see more exciting cameos, one of which will be Usher himself. When the R&B singer was on set, Lil Dicky took the opportunity to tell him about the stripping habit he’d picked up from watching his concerts. Though this may seem like an awkward interaction, apparently Usher was okay with it. When asked how he reacted to the information, Burd simply said, “He thought it was cool.” Let us know what you think of this revelation, in the comments below.

Roddy Ricch Speaks On Social Media Pressures

During the latest episode of RapCaviar Presents on Hulu, Roddy Ricch spoke candidly about his often documented perspective on social media. Of course, given that his breakout album was titled Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, many might not be surprised at this revelation. However, the Compton artist is certainly a rapper who had to deal with these pressures quite quickly. Moreover, “The Box” is one of the biggest rap hits of the past couple of years, and catapulted him to an insanely high-profile status. While he’s grateful for the success he’s seen, he also had to deal with the pitfalls of fame much more quickly than most.

“A lot of people don’t have to deal with more than 10 people,” the hitmaker said during the episode, aptly titled “The Gift and The Curse.” Given the mostly mixed reception to his follow-up after such a huge hit, he has a unique and hardened perspective on living up to expectations set by others. “So just imagine seven million that see your posts every day… Jesus only had 12 disciples, and I ain’t nowhere near Jesus… Let me be great, man.”

Roddy Ricch Reflects On “The Gift & The Curse” Of Social Media

Despite his feelings on social media and reception to his output, the 24-year-old continues to shine and stamp his name into the game. Recently, he released “I Remember” with Kodak Black and Internet Money, and also collaborated with Blxst on “Passionate.” Unfortunately, though, his gifts as of late also came with some curses. For example, he received a copyright lawsuit over his smash hit “The Box” at the end of 2022, although it’s unknown how much it will really impact the song or his success.

Also, there’s the point of multiple fan and paparazzi interactions that had people unjustly criticizing him for reacting strongly. It seems that Roddy is more aware and critical of the fact that celebrities like him get their privacy intruded on by people running up on them for pictures or statements. While it’s never easy to see someone lash out, it’s also completely understandable. As such, hopefully Roddy’s communication of these feelings can make fans think twice about judging how famous people might react to these scenarios, and how much we truly connect with them on social media. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Roddy Ricch.

DMX Faced A Scorpion In Wild Story From Cassidy

The loss of DMX shook hip-hop to its core, as one of its most definitive, perseverant, and unique voices. While his storied battles with his inner demons inform much of his discography, his close friends and collaborators also keep his legacy alive in other ways. For example, the Ruff Ryders recently announced a Ryde Out through the five boroughs of New York to commemorate the two-year anniversary of his death. Through those acts and other testimonies, they show us a more complete picture of who Earl Simmons was and still is as an individual.

Philly rapper Cassidy recently recalled visiting the Ruff Ryder and Swizz Beatz while in Arizona, as he worked on his third album B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story back in 2006. While on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, he told a fun story involving the crew. “I went back to Arizona for my third album,” the rhymer began on the show. “That was the last time I was really around X, went to his crib… X was in a positive zone. I was liking how he was carrying it at that time.

Cassidy’s Story Time: DMX Versus A Scorpion

“One of the memorable moments was when he showed me this giant scorpion we was riding past,” he continued. “He was on the four-wheeler, we was in the car and he was leading us back to the road to leave. And then he turned around and said, ‘Yo, y’all wanna see a scorpion?’ He took a rock and threw it down and it made the scorpion tail come off. He picked it up like this, and poison was dripping and he was like, ‘Look, look!”

Furthermore, Cassidy spoke on that being the last time he connected with DMX, labeling him a “wild” but gold-hearted soul. In fact, they were once label mates, and although they didn’t get to link up in the same way again, his fond memories of the Yonkers legend persist. “That’s how I remembered him,” Cassidy remarked at another point in his conversation with the show host. “[DMX] didn’t give a f**k about nothing. He was just wild, but a good dude.” If you have a favorite story from the “Party Up” star, leave in in the comments and join us in celebrating his legacy. Also, stick around on HNHH for more moments, memories, and the latest updates on DMX and his incredible impact, career, and triumphant life.

Ice Spice Dishes On Writing Her Own Raps, Says She’s Open To Working With Other Lyricists In The Future

While some rap stars rely on the help of a ghostwriter to craft their best verses, others are confident enough in their pen to handle to hard work themselves. Among the latter category is Ice Spice, who’s been putting together her quick-witted lyrics herself since she blew up last summer with the arrival of “Munch (Feelin’ U).” The New York starlet’s most recent accolade is being tapped as Harper Bazaar’s 2023 Music Director, earning her a feature in their April issue in which she markedly opened up about her incredibly fast-paced rise to fame.

“I’ve always been a baddie, and I’ve always been infatuated with other baddies,” the 23-year-old told the outlet during their sitdown. “I wanted to emulate that and make other people feel that way too,” she explained of her often salacious, female-centric bars. Prior to finding fame, her first two releases were “Bully Freestyle” and “No Clarity,” which came together for Spice shortly after she connected with RIOTUSA while studying at the State University of New York at Purchase together. The time since has found them making plenty of hits. “We just cook up bops, we make vibes; I try not to think too hard and just really have fun,” she revealed.

Ice Spice is Confident in Her Writing Chops

As for being one of the few female figures in drill, the redhead says she’s become comfortable with pushing boundaries. “I feel like I’m bringing a new sound to people that they haven’t really heard before, being one of the few girls to bring drill to a mainstream level,” Spice told HB. She additionally hinted at the future arrival of her debut album (following January’s Like..? EP), and while “it’s definitely cooking up right now,” she doesn’t want to “promise any dates” to her fans. “I’m so proud of it and how fun it was to make, and I can tell that right now, this is an era I’m always going to cherish,” the Bronx baddie added of her recent release.

Elsewhere in her Harper’s Bazaar feature, Ice Spice confirmed that she’s comfortable continuing to write her own raps for now, but a time may come in the future when she’s interested in linking up with other lyricists. “Right now, I’m sticking to what got me here in the first place,” the “Bikini Bottom” hitmaker said. “That’s me being creative in the studio with Riot.” Revisit Isis Gaston’s breakout single below, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

Nick Cannon’s Baby Mamas Don’t Get A “Monthly Allowance,” He Says

It’s been a few months now since Nick Cannon welcomed a new child into the world. Still, the dozen offspring he has fathered over the years remains a hot topic in the media. He’s usually bombarded with “jokes” about considering a vasectomy. Thankfully, the entertainer has become an expert at clapping back at haters, as well as answering questions about his unique blended family. Most recently, the man of the hour sat down with Hot 104.1. At the time, he revealed how he financially provides for the various women in his life.

Cannon initially described himself as a “provider” for his children’s mothers. He immediately clarified that no “monthly allowance” or “set amount” is given out to each of the six women. “I don’t give myself that [guideline],” the rapper explained. “What they need, they get it.” According to him, there’s never been a request made by one of his baby mamas that “they didn’t receive.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Cannon spoke about how he manages to balance his schedule with so many different personalities surrounding him. “Everybody has their challenges – but when you really understand this woman has given the greatest sacrifice and sacrificed her body to bring a child into [this world], that’s the best gift any man could ask for,” the 42-year-old told Hot 104.1. “Regardless of what goes on in any scenario… I’ll never say anything disrespectful or bad about any of the mothers of my children.”

Other recent headlines prove Nick Cannon’s comments to be true, as he was gushing about having posters of Mariah Carey on his walls as a teenager not to long ago. The musical couple were married from 2008 to 2016, and share twins – Moroccan and Monroe – the oldest of his 12. SZA Covers “CR Fashion Book,” Talks Anxiety, Taking Inspo From Kelis, Her Mother, And More

SZA may have made her fans wait a considerable amount of time before finally delivering her sophomore album, SOS, last year, but the TDE artist didn’t hold back on the 23-song tracklist. Following the project’s release, she headed out on tour across North America, attracting celebrity friends like Frank Ocean, Lori Harvey, and Damson Idris to step out in support of her. The genre-bending vocalist may be taking a break from the road for now, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have more exciting news to share today (March 28).

As per Bossip, SZA is the latest famous face to grace the cover of the bi-annual CR Fashion Book publication. Issue 22 has been titled “Mother Nature,” and finds the “Kill Bill” hitmaker serving plenty of beachy looks and very valid face cards. While the photos are surely what will first draw many in, in her accompanying interview, she discusses plenty of interesting topics, including her mental health. “I’m neurotic about everything,” the St. Louis-born songstress explains. “I’m neurotic, and I have a lot of anxiety.”

The 33-year-old also spoke candidly about finding inspiration in Kelis as a young girl. “There was no one that looked like her and [also] thought like I did. And I think now we know people like Kelis exist. So, looking at her growing up, I was like, wow, I am that,” she recalled. Of course, SZA’s mother also played a key role in moulding the woman we know her as now. “She is definitely more conservative than I am,” she explained. “But I still thought [her clothing] was cool because it was thrift, and things that come from places with culture and history are more important than a name brand.”

Elsewhere in their chat, the Ctrl singer also reflected on the current “scarcity mindset” that human beings are being plagued with, as well as her plans for the future. “I feel like designing is in my nature. And I’m gonna continue to do that,” she teased. Find early photos from SZA’s CR Fashion Book cover here, and check back later for more pop culture and streetwear news updates.

Lil Wayne Claims His Google Net Worth Is Incorrect, But Not In The Way You’d Think

When you’re as talented, successful, and beloved as Tunechi, it’s hard to put a price on you. Lil Wayne recently refuted his Google net worth, listed at $160 million, during an interview with Culture Millennials. Moreover, he spoke on how claims of how much he’s worth are nowhere near what he actually has. However, before you think he’s boasting, he actually downplayed the amount and said that he doesn’t have that kind of cash. Sure, he acknowledged that it’s nice to have people think he’s worth that much, but still refused to really bank on it.

“Honestly, I’m gonna let everybody know now,” Weezy remarked. “When you go check a motherf***er’s net worth and that s**t be saying some crazy numbers, I don’t have a cent close to that s**t. Yeah, I don’t have that, but I guess they be meaning that’s what I’m worth. So I be always calling my agent and being like, ‘I’m telling you, bro, I’m gonna fire the s**t out of you ’cause I don’t need you.’ I Googled that, you know what I mean? I’m like I’m a zillion dollar n***a on Google bro … It’s motivation, that’s all. It’s just motivation.”

Lil Wayne Dismisses His Net Worth

Furthermore, this discussion probably relates back to a recent story on how Jay-Z’s net worth reached $2.5 billion, according to Forbes. In fact, this is a massive step-up for Hov, considering Forbes valued his worth at $1.4 billion just a year ago. While it’s nearly double the original amount, the publication didn’t detail how it got to such an estimate. As such, a lot of people responded with both high praise and raised eyebrows, along with the typical discussion of what all that money is really worth.

Regardless, much of the Carter series icon’s worth sparked debate in another, and for a lot of people, much more serious way. Moreover, the culture traded takes on who would win in a Verzuz battle: him or 50 Cent. Decisions seemed almost split even wherever you looked, with even strong advocates for either acknowledging that it’s not an easy call to make. Regardless, it’s the kind of debate that’s much more fun that the numbers, because we’ll never really know the answer. Check out the New Orleans legend’s interview take on net worth about and return to HNHH for the latest on Lil Wayne.

Damson Idris Dodges Questions About Lori Harvey In New Interview: Watch

It’s been only a few months since rumours of a romance between Damson Idris and Lori Harvey began swirling online, but already, the young lovers seem to be on cloud nine. The honeymoon phase is clearly in full effect, and though they’ve faced the usual rumours of breakup and drama between them, the couple has put on a united front through it all while giving little glimpses of their life together to the public. They were separated for some time as the Snowfall actor headed to Trinidad for Carnival and the model jetted off to Milan for Fashion Week, but as of late, they’ve been back outside together, making plenty of headlines.

Earlier this month, Idris and Harvey grabbed a bite to eat at a pizza joint in New York City, and just a few days ago, they attended SZA’s concert together. Prior to the latter, some internet sleuths were speculating about a breakup between the attractive pair, but their most recent outing quickly shut those down. While we haven’t seen them hit the town together since then, the English star did sit down for an interview with Complex on Monday (March 27), in which he aptly dodged Speedy Morman’s questions about his relationship.

Damson Idris Dodges Questions About His Relationship

“My private life, my relationship today, it’s great,” Idris confirmed, intentionally not giving out too many details. “Life is great, and I’m just moving forward.” When Morman asked his guest if it was hard to keep his romance with Harvey a secret, he said, “Yeah,” with a chuckle. “You know, our lives are under a magnifying glass. People need to understand that people in the public eye are people.” The 31-year-old then reiterated that things have been “great” for him as of late, a wide smile spreading across his face.

Elsewhere in their discussion, Damson Idris spoke about his experience having Jay-Z sponsor his green card, enabling him to relocate to America to work on some of our favourite TV shows. Aside from his performance as Franklin Saint, the internet has also been raving about his work in Donald Glover’s Snowfall opposite Chloe Bailey. Watch the actor’s full Complex interview on YouTube below, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Nick Cannon Speaks On Growth After Anti-Semitic Comments

Nick Cannon recently addressed how he went through a process of growth after anti-semitic comments he made in 2020. Moreover, he revealed his thoughts during a recent interview with AllHipHop, and said that he’s still undergoing that learning phase. For those unaware, Cannon’s comments about white people being “barbaric” and “true savages,” plus his praise of anti-semitic Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan, resulted in his long-running “Wild ‘N Out” show’s cancellation for some time. However, since then, he made significant steps to rectify his wrongs, and spoke on his personal evolution.

“Man, I’m going to be super honest with you,” he began. “That process was a growth moment for me, on so many levels as a man. And I even now, we have a podcast, myself and the CEO of the ADL, Jonathan Greenblatt, called Solutions: To Hate or Not To Hate. And it’s really talking about the equation of our two communities from two different perspectives. We voice our side, or the perspective as a Black man, and then he voices his side from a Jewish man.

Nick Cannon Addresses Anti-Semitic Comments And His Growth Away From Them

Their conversation on Cannon’s comments begins around the 16:30 mark.

“Just even that alone is helpful and educational for both communities,” the TV host continued. “And again, because that’s the thing, we can sit up here and be enraged, but if we don’t engage, what are we really doing, if we can’t even learn from one another? And clearly, we all know the issues, we all know the tropes, we all know the stereotypes. It’s just about bringing people closer together. Ultimately, nobody’s monolithic, but we’re all one organism that allows this thing to keep pumping.”

Furthermore, these remarks display acknowledgement of mistakes, a continuous reevaluation, and a desire to make things better. As such, many expressed support for the father of 12 on his journey, and the last three years clearly taught him a lot. Hopefully, when it comes to other celebrities who spewed similar rhetoric to much backlash, they can make strides to see the error of their ways as well. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Nick Cannon.
