Rick Ross was among the most recent guests on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, and he took a risk in trying to make a joke about the host’s past appearance. Moreover, when he saw a photo of a young 20-year-old Tyson, he couldn’t help but make a joke about his hairline. “It’s a beautiful picture…How old were you?” The Biggest Boss asked the boxing legend. “That n***a that cut your hair ain’t give you no blend.” This resulted in laughs from the people around them, and Mike cracked a smile and said, “I hear you.” However, Ross cleared the air and said that he loves it, so it’s either some backtracking or some tough love that acknowledges some missteps.
Furthermore, this was a particularly special episode of Hotboxin‘ because it was what many fans probably hoped it wouldn’t be: its last. Furthermore, it seems like Mike Tyson’s convo with Rick Ross puts things at least at a pause as he prepares for his upcoming fight with Jake Paul. A lot of folks are very excited to see how this match-up pans out, whether or not they think that Tyson will be able to beat the YouTube provocateur. We’ll all have to wait until July 20 to find out.
Mike Tyson & Rick Ross Chop It Up On Hotboxin‘: Watch
Elsewhere, Rick Ross is very much occupied with a showdown of his own, although this is more about trading bars than blows. He and Drake had a big falling out as a result of all the drama and disses that have emerged from Future and Metro Boomin’s WE [STILL] DON’T TRUST YOU albums. While things probably won’t reemerge on wax for a while, they are two social media trolls who will likely continue to send potshots at each other. Things are a bit more quiet right now, but we’re sure that they won’t stay this way forever.
Meanwhile, Tyson is training hard for his Jake Paul fight, which will be a big moment for pop culture at large. Maybe if Paul launches a jab at his old haircut this time around, he won’t be as forgiving as he was to Rozay. Who do you have coming out on top in either head-to-head? Let us know in the comments and stay posted on HNHH for more on Mike Tyson and Rick Ross.
Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson has delivered some compelling and insightful conversations with everyone from athletes to movie stars. However, the heavyweight boxing champion announced that his podcasting career is coming to an end in anticipation of his upcoming fight with Jake Paul. Hotboxin’ covered a wide range of topics during its run, from sports, entertainment, culture, and of course, cannabis. Tyson’s diverse array of guests included athletes, entertainers, entrepreneurs, and other notable figures. Altogether, it was known for its raw and unfiltered discussions, providing listeners with unique perspectives from both Tyson and his guests. Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson produced over 275 episodes since its launch in January 2019, and the podcast released its final episode in March 2024. Below is a list of some of the podcast’s great moments.
In November 2019, the Cameroonian MMA titan, Francis Ngannou, was a guest on Mike Tyson’s podcast. The conversation between the two mostly dwelled on Ngannou’s exploits in the MMA. However, sometime during the podcast, Ngannou told Tyson about his wish to have a go at none other than WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. This was also after over 90 minutes of Mike Tyson being in awe of Ngannou’s track record in the UFC. “Everybody’s going to know your name…You’re the future. You’re special,” Tyson said.
As fate would have it, Ngannou was scheduled to fight Tyson Fury on October 28th, 2023. In what was billed as the battle of the baddest, the event became a huge spectacle. Ngannou requested that Mike Tyson coach him, to which he agreed. Ngannou lost the match to Fury, but both he and Mike Tyson’s partnership was definitely the highlight leading up to the match.
4. Hugging Hasbulla
An episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson went viral after a clip from the podcast was published in March 2023. Tyson featured the popular Russian internet personality and fighter, Hasbulla on the show. Sometime during the episode, Hasbulla walked up to Mike Tyson and began to swing at Tyson’s face, while the latter “practiced” his swerves. Since they were in such close contact, Hasbullah managed to land a few blows. However, Tyson suddenly picked up the three-foot-tall man and hugged him to his chest like he was a child.
He also playfully pretended to bite his ear, in what many think was a reference to his infamous 1997 fight against Evander Holyfield. During a future episode with Prince Jackson, Tyson’s co-host, DJ Whoo Kid, brought up the Hasbulla incident. He narrated: “He [Mike] thought he [Hasbulla] was a baby.” DJ Whoo Kid added that he warned Mike about Hasbulla’s age by saying, “The guy is like 20, Mike. What are you doing?” The co-host then commented that the incident only occurred because Mike Tyson was high at the time, to which Tyson retorted: “Hey listen, I didn’t f**king know, okay? When you kiss all those girls in the show and don’t know they are men. It’s like that!”
3. Jorge Masvidal Equates Mike Tyson’s Punch To Death
In an episode of Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson, Jorge Masvidal asked Mike if he could still fight. Tyson then responded, “Hell, I can always fight. I don’t know how well I’mma do, but I’m always gonna [know how to] fight.” Tyson’s co-host then asked Masvidal if he was interested in receiving a punch from the legendary champion. In a hilarious turn, Masvidal responded, “I don’t know how long I’ll be in the hospital. It’s like getting killed in a Ferrari.”
Later during the podcast, Mike said he would be open to getting in the ring if someone offered him enough money. It was later alleged that the founder of Bare Knuckle Boxing approached Mike with an offer. However, it did not work out. Nonetheless, Mike Tyson is set to go against celebrity fighter Jake Paul in June 2024.
2. Mike Tyson Robbed U-God’s Mom
During his high school years, Tyson, a former dropout, confessed to resorting to theft, even from his teachers, to make ends meet. Allegedly, he stole earrings from the mother of U-God, a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. U-God had said as much in another interview. “This was back in the 1970s before he was the world champion or had even started boxing. I was about eight years old, holding my mother’s hand, walking down Pitkin Avenue by the OTB, when this dude came by and snatched my mother’s earrings right off,” the Wu-Tang Clan MC said.
Mike Tyson did not deny U-God’s claims, however, and even brought it up during an episode. The incident came up when DJ Whoo Kid asked about Tyson’s relationship with the Wu-Tang Clan rappers. Tyson said he was close with Raekwon, but that U-God hated him. He then said he told U-God’s mom he would reimburse her for the earrings.
1. Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, And The Dancing Gunman
In a June 2022 episode of the Hotboxin With Mike Tyson podcast, Rosie Perez shared some interesting stories about Tyson. The actress, who seemed quite close to Tyson, spoke about the public’s reaction to the champion in the aftermath of the 1997 Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield fight. The fight, as aforementioned, became infamous for the ear-chomping incident, for which Tyson was disqualified.
“You walked into Cheetah’s and everybody was so in awe and terrified of you at the same time,” Perez shared. “It was like Moses parting the red sea, everybody just moved the f*ck out of your way.” Perez also recalled the story of her calling on Tyson after a man pulled a gun on her sister Sally Perez in a nightclub for refusing to dance with him. She explained how Tyson, unarmed, walked up to the gunman, and calmly nudged the gun out of his hand. Unsurprising, coming from one of the deadliest fighters of all time.
The boxing world was shocked recently when the shocking announcement was made that Mike Tyson was returning to the boxing ring. It may have even come as a bigger shock to fans when they found out that Tyson’s next opponent would be none other than Jake Paul. Fight fans have now been wondering just how that fight will go down, but you may not be hearing those predictions from Tyson anytime soon.
The legendary boxer has announced that he is ending his popular podcast Hotboxin. In a video posted on the shows YouTube page, Tyson gives fans a quick goodbye to the show as he states that he is onto his next journey in his life. For Paul and his fans, that may not be what you want to hear. Check out Tyson’s goodbye to his fans in the video below.
Why anyone would stop into the ring with Tyson is beyond my comprehension, but nevertheless, Paul has decided the risk is worth the reward. Sure, the payday has to be big if you’re going to step into the ring with one of the greatest to ever do it. However, are we sure that Paul knows exactly what he signed up for? Yes, Tyson is a leader older now, but that killer instinct hasn’t completely left the boxing legend.
Tyson vs. Paul is set to take place July 20th, at A&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. While fans have longed for Paul to take on more professional boxing competitors, this still feels like more of a what-if matchup then what fans were expecting from Paul’s next bout. However, many will tune in to see if Tyson still has a step has the power in his punch. Will you be one of those people? Let us know in the comments. As always, keep it right here at HNHH for all the latest news in sports.
AI is the biggest tech story and debates right now. Whether it be about music, art, or writing the argument is heated. While AI has many defenders, its detractors are numerous. The anti-AI advocates argue that AI works are created using the works of others, nearly all of whom did not consent to their work being used in that manner. Furthermore, there are concerns about copyright and slander if an AI is able to mimic someone’s voice
In the music world, people are split on whether AI-generated music is a blessing or a curse. While artists like JoJo are in favor of embracing the technology, industry legends like Ice Cube have absolutely no time for it“That’s fucked up, bruh,” the champ told Yayo, his mouth agape, as he heard Biggie rap 50’s hook and 2Pac spit his opening verse, before adding: “Woah.”. However, that has not stopped users from creating works from artists, both dead and alive, with AI.
Mike Tyson Shocked By AI Track
Rapper and former G-Unit member Tony Yayo stopped by Mike Tyson’s podcast, Hotboxin’ with Mike. They discussed many topics, including the shooting of Yayo’s close friend 50 Cent. However, they also broached the topic of AI art.“Let me tell you how ill computers is takin’ over. You ever heard of AI music?” Yayo asked Tyson and his co-host DJ Whoo Kid. “Do me a favor: play ‘Many Men’ by 50 Cent, 2Pac and Biggie.” The AI-generated song, while not a perfect imitation of the three iconic rappers, was enough to shock the studio.
“That’s fucked up, bruh,” Tyson commented before simply adding, “Woah.” Whoo also added a similar thought on the track. “Yo! This is crazy! This is insane. That don’t even make no sense.” While Yayo was impressed by the track, it shows the potential of what AI can do – bringing back dead artists. However, with that comes with concern as the industry grapples with the question of whether those artists, their memory, and their legacy, should be left alone. What do you think of the rise of AI music? Let us know in the comments below.
Wiz Khalifa almost knocked Mike Tyson out while trying to show him how to do “kush-ups.” For those unaware of the endurance test, a kush-up consists of taking ten quicks puffs from a joint (blunt, pen, or whatever smokable you prefer) without blowing the smoke out. Moreover, Wiz tried to show Tyson the technique on the latter’s Hotboxin’podcast. When the boxer tried to do one, he only got to two puffs before coughing. “Do ten puffs but don’t exhale,” the Taylor Gang leader explained. “1,2, 3, and you don’t blow the smoke out.
“That was two, that was two,” he acknowledged after Mike started coughing uncontrollably. “So we’ll work on the kush-ups,” Wiz Khalifa remarked with the patience of a coach. “Yes, thank you,” the 56-year-old replied while trying to catch his breath. “Oh god, help me,” he exclaimed. At least the two seemed to have fun together and enjoyed the devil’s lettuce with much more ease and enjoyability than a kush-up. Throughout their conversation, Tyson was able to finish his L with no further hiccups. In the comments section of Wiz’s post with a clip of the interaction, he lightly teased his colleague.
Kush-Ups Almost Knock Mike Tyson Out
“SMOKIN WIT CHAMP,” Wiz Khalifa captioned in all caps. Also, he added “Somebody come help my boy for real” in a comment. During their interview, they spoke about a lot of cannabis-related topics, including whether legalization would occur in all U.S. states and territories. Currently, marijuana is recreationally legal in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia. Conversely, 37 states allow for medical use of the drug. Of course, this isn’t the first time that Wiz and Tyson linked up to smoke together.
However, there’s only one person who’s seemingly able to out-smoke the Kush & Orange Juice MC, and that’s unsurprisingly Snoop Dogg. The two had a bit of a competition on stage, and though people argued that the order of their trade-offs was against WIz’s favor, he ultimately tapped out first. Given that all names involved are heavy advocates for marijuana, it’s still quite the achievement. Regardless, check out the full Hotboxin’ episode below come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Mike Tyson and Wiz Khalifa.
We haven’t received many updates on Chrisean Rock’s pregnancy since she broke the big news earlier this year. It came as she and Blueface were amid severe turmoil, and even found the 26-year-old vehemently denying paternity of the unborn child. In the weeks since we’ve seen the Crazy In Love stars spending plenty of time together, from hitting up the gym for workouts to causing drama on Instagram Live.
Without new weekly episodes of their Zeus series to entertain the masses, fans of the couple have been happy to see them in the press doing plenty of interviews. Of course, some have come with their share of drama, but for their latest sitdown, the chaotic couple was noticeably more well-behaved than usual. In an interview that premiered earlier this week, Rock told Mike Tyson that she plans to name her first child after her “Lit” collaborator.
It’s Baby Blueface!
“Is it a girl, or boy? Or you can’t tell yet?” the professional fighter asked the expecting mother during the latest episode of his Hotboxin’ podcast. Rock confirmed that she’s currently unaware of the baby’s gender, but plans to name a boy after the “Thotiana” rapper. In the case she’s having a girl, the little one will take on a variation of her name.
It remains unclear exactly how far along the Baddies cast member is, though this isn’t her first time being pregnant with Blueface’s baby. In another interview, Chrisean says she’s had at least three past abortions because she didn’t quite feel ready for motherhood. She’s also taken comments from those encouraging her to reconsider her desire to be a mother very personally, lashing out at anyone condemning her for keeping the pregnancy.
Mike Tyson Asks the Real Questions
Elsewhere on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, the athlete spoke candidly with the couple about their public history of physical violence with one another. At one point, the host suggested that Blueface enjoys being “beat on” by his girl, to which he said, “It’s like a weird situation to be in. It’s like you wanna fight but it’s like… I don’t know.” Afterward, Tyson revealed that he and his wife would often get into spats as a result of drinking alcohol.
“Me and my wife used to fight, but we stopped fighting,” the multi-talent told his guests. “Once we stopped drinking, we stopped fighting,” he added before the California-born rapper asked him what cause their altercations. “Jealousy,” Tyson explained, calling himself an “idiot” for being insecure over other men looking at his wife. Check it all out in the video above, and come back later for more hip-hop news updates.
The influence Lil Wayne has had on Hip Hop is unmatched, including personal relationships with artists like Tyga. Weezy is a certified GOAT in the industry and not only shaped his own career but helped others receive global success. In 2008, Tyga inked a deal with Young Money Entertainment that would change his life forever. While on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, he spoke on lessons he learned from the Rap giant.
“I learned the hustle,” said Tyga. “‘Cause like, Wayne’s not a person—he don’t really like, talk much.”
Tyson agreed that Wayne is usually “quiet in a corner.”
“Yeah, so you gotta like, pick up on his ways and the way he moves,” Tyga added. “The work ethic, I learned from him. It was like, whatever he was doing, he made sure whatever city was we in, we was gon’ be at the studio ’til noon or 1:00 p.m. the next day. All night.”
DJ Whoo Kid spoke about rappers complaining about not having money, but Tyga never had that problem with Wayne.
“You gotta think, the rappers now, it’s different,” Tyga replied. “It’s different. Kids go viral on TikTok or—they don’t really have…they’re not seasoned. There’s no artist development no more. So, I felt like for me, being around Wayne when I was that young, that was my artist development.”
“I learned how to move and patience. Now, it’s not patience.”
Do you agree with Tyga about current, rising artists? Does the industry need to offer more guidance and artist development?
In the entertainment industry, it isn’t always easy to find lifelong friends, but that’s exactly what happened when Swizz Beatz and DMX were introduced. Despite the struggles DMX faced throughout his life, he always had a strong support system of family, friends, and fans who cheered him on. Sadly, the world lost X in April 2021, but in a new interview on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Swizz reflected on his relationship with the beloved star.
“For me, every since I known DMX, he was like, always in pain,” said Swizz. “Since I was a kid.”
“And so, I just know he’s in a better place now,” the megaproducer continued. “He came to me in a dream, the whole thing. I was definitely on a mission. Losing a brother so close, it just—I never felt that before.”
Swizz added that he has “lost a lot of people to the streets,” but grieving the loss of DMX remains difficult to reconcile.
“Still, ’til this day sitting on this couch talking about it, it don’t feel real to me,” he said.
In the Spring of 2021, DMX was hospitalized as speculation regarding his medical condition ran rampant. His family and friends were by his side as he sought care, but later, it was announced that the rapper had passed away.
A cause of death has been reported as a heart attack brought on by drug use. DMX was always candid about his struggles and recovery pertaining to his addictions. Following his passing, the world celebrated his life and accomplishments in solidarity.

The Game has been known to embellish a story or two in his past, but it appears the latest happening in his life may actually have video proof. This past Tuesday, the Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson podcast Instagram posted behind-the-scenes footage of an upcoming episode where the legendary boxer hosts the West Coast rapper. The two engage in an intense arm wrestling match where it appears The Game may get the best of Tyson, but the 55-year-old mounts a comeback while simultaneously smoking a joint.
The Game took to Instagram to celebrate his supposed victory. “I beat @MikeTyson arm wrestling & before you get started in the comments… he told me this eye to eye after it was over,” the “Hate It Or Love It” rapper said. “I went light on em in the end cause I love him & I found it in my heart to let him come back lol.”
Perhaps the wildest part of it all is The Game’s admission that he was on mushrooms provided by Tyson. “Mike got me on shrooms, too, y’all. If I’m spaced out for the rest of the day, it’s this n**** fault.”
Evidently, they weren’t potent enough to stop him from a major underdog win and some nice momentum heading into The Game’s upcoming album Drillmatic.
Check out the footage of the arm wrestling match above.
