Cardi B Sparks Pregnancy Rumors With Impact Awards Outfit Following Offset Reconciliation

Cardi B sparked pregnancy rumors on social media after rocking an oversized black blazer and floor-length sheer skirt to Hollywood Unlocked’s annual Impact Awards ceremony on Friday night. She was present at the event to accept the “Inspiration” accolade, at which time, she gave an impassioned speech to not only thank Jason Lee for the honor but to call out her haters as well.

Afterward, users on X (formerly Twitter) began theorizing that she’s expecting another child with Offset. “Cardi b is currently roughly 5 months pregnant,” one fan wrote, as caught by Bossip. “She won’t drop the album in the next two months because she will be full blown pregnant and can’t tour. She will drop the album in 4 months right before she deliver then go on tour 2 months post partum.” Another added: “Cardi is so annoying wtf are you doing pregnant when cheating allegations were just a few months ago stop pissing me awfffffffff.”

The 4th Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, hosted by Hollywood Unlocked and its CEO and Founder Jason Lee, recognized individuals who have impacted the culture. The star-studded event honored notables, including Cardi B, Jonathan Majors, Fat Joe, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, Christian Louboutin, Da Brat, Ben Crump, and Sharon Stone. Tiffany Haddish, the Emmy award-winning comedian and actor, returned to host the show for the third consecutive year, delighting attendees with her signature comedic stylings.

Jason Lee presented the Inspiration Award to his longtime friend and Grammy award-winning rapper Cardi B. Cardi B highlighted the unique challenges female rappers face in her acceptance speech, noting, “Female rappers have it worse than some pop stars. We have to be perfect all the time, and I struggle with being my own worst critic.”

Rap icon Fat Joe received the Culture Award from Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton, who humorously remarked, “He’s got more hits than I have hats. And trust me, I’ve got a lot.”

Hollywood icon Sharon Stone presented the Innovator Award to Christian Louboutin, one of the world’s most renowned shoe designers. Stone praised Louboutin, saying, “Tonight we pay homage to a true visionary…those soles are the Rolls Royce of stilettos.”

The event also honored Jonathan Majors with the Perseverance Award, presented by renowned spiritual teacher Iyanla Vanzant. In his emotional speech, Majors addressed the challenges he faced and his determination to persevere. “When I was taken away in handcuffs, I didn’t feel like the Jonathan Majors I knew, the Yale graduate, the actor from Creed or Kang. I felt like a small, powerless Black man. Despite the support and evidence in my favor, I knew I was in serious trouble simply because of who I am. This is what happens to Black people all too often—guilt or innocence often have little to do with the outcome.”

Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who made headlines earlier this year after a heated exchange in a committee hearing, was presented with the Social Impact Award by reality TV star Marlo Hampton. Crockett emphasized the importance of representation in her acceptance speech, saying, “When people say you are going to be their representation, you really should do your best to make sure …you represent them. I am grateful to be acknowledged for simply doing my job.”

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump received the Community Award from Jasmine Crockett, who called him “my mentor.”

Six-year-old Malcom Bell, Jason Lee’s “official” campaign manager for his Stockton political run, took the stage with Jason and encouraged everyone to get out and vote.

Grammy-nominated rapper Da Brat and her wife Jessica Harris-Dupart were presented with the Spirit Award by Disney channel alum Raven-Symoné.

In a surprise moment, Tiffany Haddish presented the Icon Award to Sharon Stone, calling her a “true inspiration.” Stone, in her acceptance speech, shared, “Early in my career I made a choice to use whatever fame I gained to make a positive change in this world. I am honored to have been recognized here today in a room so full of love. There is no other room that I would want to accept an award like this in. Thank you so much.”

The event was attended by numerous celebrities, including Evan Ross, Omarion, GASHI, Floyd Mayweather, Trina, Meagan Good, Babyface, Eric Bellinger, Yvette Nicole Brown, Claudia Jordan, Lemuel Plummer, Bobby Lytes, and Brittney Elena, all of whom contributed to a night filled with celebration and recognition of impactful contributions to culture and society.

Cardi B’s long-awaited sophomore album isn’t slated to be released until 2025. However, that hasn’t stopped the “WAP” rapper from dusting off the microphone for several notable collaborations. But just as she dropped off guest verses, Cardi has picked up a few rap beefs along the way.

Yesterday (June 21), during the 2024 Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, Cardi addressed those dust ups and more as she accepted the night’s Inspiration Award.

“I just want to say thank Jason [Lee] so much for this award,” she said. “I’m really my biggest critic and I always say this, ‘Nobody has it harder than in the industry and in every genre than a female rapper, and I’m going to tell you why. You have to have the best verse. Not only that, you have to kill the charts. On top of that, your personal life has to be perfect, or then the opp b*tches are going to use that against you.”

Although Cardi didn’t outright name any of those foes, users online quickly took it as a jab at either BIA or Nicki Minaj (maybe even both).

Cardi went on to clap back at those who continue to use her husband and fellow rapper, Offset’s past infidelities, to hurt her.

“‘Your husband. Your husband.’ Shut up,” she said. “I make more money than all the n****s you’re f*cking. So you know sometimes it is hard to be yourself. It is hard to want to push yourself into the music because sometimes I don’t like showing weakness in my music because, ‘You can’t see the p*ssy in me b*tch.’”

Jonathan Majors was not the only celebrity to receive a special award at Hollywood Unlocked‘s Impact Awards ceremony last night (Friday, June 21) in Beverly Hills. Moreover, the one and only Cardi B went onstage to accept the “Inspiration” accolade, and delivered a heartfelt and relatively unfiltered speech to thank HU‘s Jason Lee and her supporters. However, she also included a dismissive message against those who would rather see her downfall than her success. At the end of the day, the Bronx femcee knows that she is her own biggest critic, and works that much harder so she can prioritize her own wishes and desired changes rather than those of her haters.

Cardi B’s Impact Awards Speech

“‘Your husband. Your husband.’ Shut up,” Cardi B continued her speech, seemingly referencing how people use their relationship drama and cheating accusations to discredit them. “I make more money than all the n***as you’re f***ing. So you know, sometimes, it is hard to be yourself. It is hard to want to push yourself into the music because sometimes I don’t like showing weakness in my music because you can’t see the p***y in me, b***h.”

Meanwhile, Cardi B’s sophomore album remains in limbo, with opposing rumors indicating that it’s either still slated for this year or it will arrive in 2025 instead. Either way, we doubt that hype for it will ever get any easier to manage or more subdued until we get a concrete announcement. Hopefully it lands sooner rather than later, as it’s quite difficult to continue to justify a six-year wait in many fans’ eyes. But like these “opp b***hes,” maybe all we need is some patience and empathy.

Ne-Yo Clarifies Comments About Trans Children

Earlier this week, Ne-Yo came under fire for comments he made about parents who allowed their children to transition as minors. “I have no issue with the [LGBTQIA+] community, I have no problem with nobody. Love who you love. Do what you do. I just personally come from an era where a man was a man, and a woman was a woman, and there wasn’t but two genders, and that’s just how it rocked. Now, you could identify as a goldfish if you feel like. I don’t care. That ain’t my business. It becomes my business when you try to make me to play the game with you. I’m not going to call you a goldfish. You want to be a goldfish? Go be a goldfish. We live in a weird time, man,” the rapper said on a VladTV podcast.

Ne-Yo’s point really boils down to “I don’t have an issue with trans people, but I don’t respect their decision and don’t abide by it.” What appeared to further rile up trans advocates was the use of the debunked and transphobic talking point about “children identifying as animals”. No verifiable study has shown an actual phenomenon of children identifying as animals as their gender. While it’s certainly not the worst anti-trans take out there, it’s still fairly ignorant. He conflates sex with gender, starting there are two genders when referring men and women. Furthermore, it’s unusual that man who goes by Ne-Yo despite being born Shaffer Chimere Smith, has an issue with people wanting to be identified a different way to how they were born. After the comments appeared on Hollywood Unlocked, Ne-Yo took to the comments section to add a clarification.

Ne-Yo Hits Back, Doubles Down

“1st and foremost, I CONDEMN NO ONE. Who am I to condemn anybody? Your life, your kids, your choice. I was asked a question and I answered it. My opinion is mine. I’m not asking anybody to agree with me nor am I telling you what you can and cannot do with your children. I stated my opinion on a matter and that’s that.
Why should I care if my opinion upsets you when you don’t care if yours upsets anyone? Opinions aren’t special. We all have one. People voice them regularly whether they’re asked or not. I was actually asked mine. Agreeing to disagree is not a declaration of war. Y’all do whatever the hell y’all want to. But my feelings on the matter are mine. Same way yours are yours. Meanwhile,
I love everybody. Don’t agree with some of y’all’s ideals….but love you no less,” Ne-Yo wrote in the comments.

Again, it’s the same idea as he previously stated. He has a right to his opinion and he disagrees with the idea of children transitioning at a young age. Of course, his opinion is based on incorrect assumptions about the trans community, which is why he was called out in the first place. It’s very telling that Ne-Yo plays the cis victim card, asking “Why should I care if my opinion upsets you when you don’t care if yours upsets anyone?” Firstly, being trans is not an opinion. Not liking trans people is an opinion. But being trans, or gender non-conforming is not an opinion. But regardless, Ne-Yo has expressed his opinion while pulling the classic “I love all people, despite being opposed to your existence and not loving you enough to show you basic respect.”

Jason Lee Opens Up About His Time Working For Kanye West

Jason Lee has made all the right moves in becoming one of the culture’s biggest names. While it may seem as though Lee is a newcomer, he is far from that. Over the last decade, the media magnate has been heavy on his grind. Moreover, Jason Lee has been around some of the cultures most prominent voices. From his days on Love & Hip-Hop to his close friendship with Cardi B and Rihanna, Lee has friends in high places. Recently, the culture critic sat with Complex and shared a few stories, his ups and downs, and more.

Furthermore, Jason Lee spoke on a bunch of different topics with the publication. However, one major topic they discussed was his time as the Head of Media for Kanye West. He told Complex “The day I opened Hollywood Unlocked Studios, I was sitting in the kitchen saying, ‘How will we rent this space out?’” Lee went on further to say that he was trying to figure out a way to let people know he had a new space for creators to create(creators do enjoy creating). Additionally, he mentioned, “The phone rang and it was Wack 100, and he said, ‘Hey, man, when are you opening that studio? I got somebody who wants to rent it.’”

Moreover, Jason Lee says after that Wack gave the phone to Kanye West and the two began talking. “Ye told me he has some cousins that want to rent the space for a podcast.” He began. “He then says, ‘When can you go to dinner?’ I said, ‘Whenever you want.’” Henceforth, the two met had dinner, and got to brass tacks. They spoke on many different topics and after listening to new music the culture critic had a deeper conversation with the rap mogul. He told Complex that they discussed Ye’s affection for the culture and how he wants to be desired by the culture again (big surprise there).

Afterward, the two had dinner again with Madonna, Floyd Mayweather, Antonio Brown, and Julia Fox. The star studded arrangement was documented, going viral on the internet. Yung Miami Said She Would ‘Smash’ Megan Thee Stallion After Confirming She Is Bisexual

Last year, when Yung Miami had Megan Thee Stallion on her show Caresha Please, the City Girl and the Houston Hottie set fans’ antennae buzzing as they shamelessly flirted their way through their interview. “I like what I like,” Megan told Miami in response to whether Thee Stallion “likes girls.” “I like you.”

Now, it appears that the feeling is mutual, as a clip from Miami’s upcoming interview with gossip site Hollywood Unlocked found her confirming her own bisexuality and admitting that she’d “smash” Megan during a game of “Smash Or Pass.” “I really do like girls,” Miami said, although she also added, “I don’t want to be in a relationship with girls.” When asked about Meg, Miami replied enthusiastically, “I’ma smash. All day and tomorrow. Megan just give me… Like, she really can take me up and throw me down.”

The interview wasn’t the first time that Miami made overtures to her fellow rappers. Megan found Miami’s 2021 song “Rap Freaks” highly amusing as she made passes at a number of MCs, from Lil Durk to Diddy. “Diddy, let me put it in your face like them roaches / And put your rich ass to sleep, buenas noches,” she rapped, sending Meg into uproarious laughter in a video on Instagram.

Miami’s bedroom proclivities continue to be a source of fascination for rap fans. Earlier this year, she admitted to being into “golden showers,” prompting fans on social media to coin the nickname “Pee Diddy” for her then-beau. However, she recently shot down that rumor while also revealing that the couple had broken up — which didn’t stop them from appearing together at the Met Gala earlier this week.

Kim Kardashian has been a part of numerous failed relationships throughout her life, but she’s not giving up on love. According to a Friday (March 3) report from PEOPLE, the socialite is feeling “ready” to start dating again after ending things with Pete Davidson in mid-2022. It sounds like her next beau could be very different from the men from her past.

When she was only 19 years old, the mother of four eloped with music producer Damon Thomas. Their divorce was finalized three years later, in 2003, at which time Kardashian was spending time with Ray J. During their relationship, the singer and model famously made a sex tape together, which was leaked in February 2007. As many have pointed out, this was the true catalyst for her inevitable rise to fame.

Kim’s Romantic Past

As Us Weekly notes, Kardashian also spent time with two Nicks – Lachey and Cannon – before meeting long-term beau Reggie Bush. They were together on and off from 2007 to 2010. After that, the reality star stepped out with a handful of other stars before connecting with Kris Humphries. She and the athlete were engaged less than a year after meeting. While they went through with their wedding, it ended after just 72 days and wasn’t settled until April 2013.

Kanye West is the man who came into the SKIMS founder’s life next, and though their marriage also ultimately ended, they share four beautiful children together. Their split was publicly played out via the rapper’s Instagram feed, but he’s been far quieter on Instagram as of late. When Kimye went their separate ways, she found a spark with Davidson, but that burnt out after nine months.

After taking time off from romance to heal and focus on her family, Kardashian has formed a better idea of what she’s looking for in a man. “Kim hasn’t been dating, but is ready again,” insiders told PEOPLE earlier this week. “She took a breather after Pete, but she is interested now. She would love to date someone who isn’t famous in Hollywood. Someone in finance would be perfect.”

La La Anthony and Jason Lee spoke about the time that Lee covered news of La La’s ex Carmelo Anthony allegedly fathering twins with another woman. And to be able to have made that call, and you respected what I said and understood that. I’m a mom to a teenager that has to see those things. I always appreciated and respected that.”

“No, of course,” the Hollywood Unlocked reporter said. “Where does that presence come from? I mean I met your mom, she’s amazing. You know, Mom’s ain’t playing, she over there looking at me like ‘Keep them questions cute.’” While everyone in the room laughed, La La’s words honored her mother. “Yeah, probably my mom. My mom is actually super calm, like, I’m the turnt one. My mom is calm.
