Charlamagne Tha God Says Colin Kaepernick's Letter to Jets is 'Down Right Pathetic'

Charlamagne Tha God isn’t feeling Colin Kaepernick’s letter to the New York Jets asking to become a practice team member. During Wednesday’s edition of The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne called the letter “pitiful.”

“It’s tragically said and down right pathetic that Colin Kapernick wrote that letter,” Charlamagne said. “He has let his setbacks become his identity. God has exalted Colin Kaepernick into a position of leadership in regards to activism and it pains me to see him begging to be in a league that he compared to a plantation.

“I hate that he can never speak for himself. He always has someone speaking for him or putting out a message for him and that’s so wack to me. I wish Colin the best in all his endeavors but this begging the same people he called racist for an opportunity is absolutely pitiful to me.”

In case you missed it, Colin Kaepernick is attempting to make the New York Jets practice squad, and J. Cole is down to help. Hitting Instagram, Cole released a letter from Kaep to the Jets’ General Manager, Joe Douglas.

“I asked Colin @kaepernick7 if I could share this letter with the world. He was reluctant,” Cole wrote. “My argument was that I believe the people and all organizations should know the truth about how hard he works and how much he still wants to play. And always has. In the end, he agreed to let me.”

Kaepernick detailed how his abilities could prep the Jets’ defense for future games against mobile quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Jalen Hurts in the letter. Kaep also stated he was not attempting to undermine the current starting quarterback, Zach Wilson.

Jimmy Butler wants the NBA’s version of a RICO opened on the Milwaukee Bucks. In case you missed it, the Bucks landed Damian Lillard in a trade, a deal that long thought would send the point guard to the Miami HEAT.

According to ESPN, the other teams in the deal are the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks. The Blazers will receive Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, Milwaukee’s 2029 unprotected 1st-round draft pick, and unprotected Milwaukee swap rights in 2028 and 2030.

The Suns will get Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson.

Hitting social media, Butler wants the NBA to look into the Bucks. Although, it could just be a joke to the moment.

“Yo NBA man, y’all need to look into the Bucks for tampering,” Butler said. “Y’all didn’t hear it from me, but I heard it from somebody.”

Usher Receives Massive Streaming Jump Following Super Bowl Announcement

Usher is getting ready to close an epic 2023 and get ready for a more grand 2024. With plans for the Super Bowl underway, Usher’s catalog is receiving a big boost.

According to Billboard, Usher’s music is rising in streams, with increases headed into the millions. Between Sunday’s announcement and Monday, Usher saw a 16% increase. His most streamed single over the time period is his recently released “Good Good,” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage. The single was streamed 1.1 million times, a 5% jump. His staple “Yeah!” also got 962,000 streams, while “My Boo” moved 527,000 streams. On Tidal, “You Make Me Wanna…” had a 55% jump.

With a Super Bowl performance on the way and an album loaded, Usher‘s 2024 is about to get crazy. The next announcement is reportedly a world tour.

According to Billboard, Usher is scheming on a global tour, his first in a decade. Usher’s team is reportedly working to secure locations worldwide to bring his live show.

Usher recently enjoyed a playful moment with Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union as he took his residency globally for a stay in France. His current set of dates is as the La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, and the power couple was in attendance.

As Usher reaches the point of his set where he serenades a woman, he approaches Union to sing but then hits a pause. “This is Dwyane Wade, I ain’t crazy! That man will knock my whole head off and then dunk it.”

The two laugh it off before Usher says, “So happy to see you.”

Ice Cube is ready to drop a new album. In a conversation with Chuck D on his RAPstation show, Cube revealed the next album will be titled Man Down.

“I’m working on an album that hopefully I can finish in next couple of weeks and schedule to put it out,” Ice Cube said. “I’m digging what I’m doing. The name of the record is called Man Down, and, you know, it’s a pretty good record. It like it. It’s dope.”

Ice Cube’s last album was Everythang’s Corrupt, released in 2018 and featured the singles “Good Cop, Bad Cop” and “Arrest the President.”

Flavor Flav Says He is Related to Members of Wu-Tang Clan

Did you know that Flavor Flav was related to members of the Wu-Tang Clan? Speaking with HipHopDX, Flav revealed he had three blood relatives.

“In the Wu-Tang Clan, I have three blood family members that a lot don’t even know,” Flav said. “RZA, GZA, and ODB. ODB was my cousin.”

He also recalled spending time with ODB in Aspen, CO and it was just a week ahead of his death. “It was never a convo to have me part of the group, because they were always doing their thing and I was always doing my thing. But then we came together and did our thing.”

Drake Comes Through For Newlyweds Who Skipped Honeymoon To See Him

As many of you already know, Drake is currently on his “It’s All A Blur” tour. Moreover, a week from now, he will be dropping his new album For All The Dogs. Overall, this is going to be a massive moment for hip-hop. It is the first time since Certified Lover Boy that Drizzy gave us a fully-fledged album rollout. At this point, we already know what the album cover is going to look like. Furthermore, we got “Slime You Out” with SZA, which turned out to be a very successful track.

In terms of his tour, Drake was just in Atlanta. Throughout the tour, he has been incredibly generous with his fans. If you bring him a story of you spending a lot of money on his show, there is a good chance he will reimburse you, and then some. Although some people are skeptical of this, it seems like the artist is making good on his promises. For instance, on Monday night, the megastar came through for a couple who missed their honeymoon just to see the tour.

Drake Delivers An Amazing Gift

In the video clip above, you can see Drake explaining how he saw a sign that put him in a giving mood. Essentially, he got the couple a trip to Turks and Caicos, which is truly incredible. “She brought a sign to the show that says we canceled our honeymoon for this,” Drake said. “Since we in Atlanta tonight and I’m feeling all the love from everybody. One of my favorite places in the world, you know what it is? Some place called Turks and Caicos. I’ma send y’all to Turks and Caicos on a little honeymoon.” We’re sure a lot of people in attendance were jealous.

Now, all the artist needs to do is give us For All The Dogs in a timely fashion. He delayed the album previously, and fans are worried that he may delay it again. Hopefully, that doesn’t happen. YNW Melly & His Lawyers Believe Jury Selection Could Take Weeks Amid Motion To Dismiss Case

YNW Melly is currently in the midst of legal turmoil. After his first double murder trial ended in a mistrial, a second trial was set for October. Overall, the judge has shown every intention of marching forward with the aforementioned trial. However, Melly’s legal team is doing everything it can to ensure his freedom. For instance, they recently filed for a dismissal of the entire case, claiming “prosecutorial misconduct.” It is a long shot, however, it is in line with the legal team’s strategy thus far.

Yesterday, Melly and his lawyers were back in court to discuss the trial. Jury selection will start on October 9th, as long as the case is not dismissed. That said, an attorney for Melly, Stuart Adelstein, believes that this might be a very messy endeavor. He thinks jury selection will take a very long time, which cuts into Melly’s right for a quick trial. “We’ll be lucky to pick a jury before Thanksgiving,” Adelstein said.

As for the “prosecutorial misconduct,” Melly’s lawyers believe Detective Mark Moretti was being helped by the prosecution. More specifically, they allegedly hid internal and criminal investigations against Moretti. “The unfortunate stark reality is that the State intentionally withheld this information that would impeach Detective Moretti in order to gain a tactical advantage and to violate Mr. Demons’ due process rights as guaranteed by both the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and the parallel provisions of the Florida Constitution,” the lawyers said.

At this point, it feels like this is a saga that has been going on for at least a decade. However, it has actually only been going on since 2018, which is still a very long time. Chrisean Rock Responds To People Claiming Her Son Has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Chrisean Rock and her newborn child have been a huge story online as of late. Overall, this has not been for the best of reasons. In fact, some people are making some wild assumptions about Chrisean Jr. based on some very short videos. For instance, a Twitter user named Nyla Lauren recently came out and provided “evidence” that the child may have fetal alcohol syndrome. They said this based on what the child looks like, and the sound of its cry.

“I hate to be that person, but it really looks like Chrisean’s baby has fetal alcohol syndrome,” they said. “He has literally every physical characteristic, including the folds in the corner of his eyes, small eyes, drop nose, open mouth, extra large low set ears, etc. […] Here is the sound of Blueface and Chrisean’s baby crying. People are saying it sounds like cri-du-chat syndrome, but high pitched crying can also be caused by alcohol withdrawal in infants. My goal is only to raise awareness in hopes Chrisean will see it and get the baby tested.”

The Theory

Chrisean saw this thread and decided to speak out. In the video below, you can see that she notes how the doctors didn’t say anything to her, and that if there was an issue, they would have already brought it up. “My baby is healthy. They would have told me if he had symptoms,” she said. “He’s healthy bro. Just ‘cause that picture wasn’t that cute doesn’t mean [inaudible] you can post my baby on the internet. That shit is wild. Now my baby father is bitter. He doing bitter shit now because I liked some shit about my ex being the baby’s father. But I’m only doing shit because that hurt. Fuck you.”
