Post Malone took Instagram to share his excitement about his Twelve Carat Toothache a few weeks ago. He said that he “put his heart and soul into it and couldn’t wait for everybody to hear it,” He wanted everybody to hear it.” Now everybody can listen to it. Before the album’s release, he dropped “Cooped Up,” featuring Roddy Ricch, and “One Right Now” with The Weeknd.

That album debuted at No. 1 on the weekly Billboard 200 chart dated Sept. 21, 2019, and spent five weeks at No. 1 during the 2019 chart year. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the “White Iverson” rapper said that this album “album is his “favorite” body of work to date. Hopefully, it will share the same success as his previous albums. Listen to Twelve Carat Toothache below.

Dave Chappelle’s Attacker Looking For Plea Deal

Dave Chappelle's Attacker Charged with Attempted Murder From A Different Attack

Fans were shocked when Dave Chappelle was tackled by an audience member towards the end of his set at the Hollywood Bowl. Following the attack, the man responsible, Isaiah Lee, was beat up by multiple people backstage before being restrained and put into an ambulance.

Following the attack, Los Angeles County District Attorney, George Gascon, announced that the city would not press felony charges against Lee, instead, they would be charging him with four misdemeanor counts, including misdemeanor battery, misdemeanor possession of a deadly weapon with intent to assault, and two violations for jumping on stage and attacking Chappelle.

Now, it seems as if Lee is changing his mind and instead of taking a plea deal instead of heading to trial. Lee appeared in front of a judge on Thursday, June 2, and agreed to a two-month delay in the probable case hearing for an attempted murder case that he was charged with after stabbing his roommate during an altercation at a transitional housing facility in December.

Lee’s attorney had requested a delay in the Chappelle case so that she could “see if there’s a disposition in the felony matter which would potentially resolve (this case) as well.” His attorney, Chelsea Padilla was then asked if a claim of mental incompetency would be used and she replied “not at this time.”

Chappelle’s lawyer declined to comment on the plea offer. Following the attack, Chappelle had urged George Gascon to reconsider the misdemeanor charges and file felony charges against Lee. “Mr. Chappelle wants this case charged as a felony,” Gabriel Colwell, a partner at Squire Patton Boggs, said. “Entertainers in Los Angeles need to know that the justice system will protect them on stage.”

Joe Budden Criticizes NYC Strip Clubs, Waka Flocka Responds

Joe Budden Joins Patreon As Head of Creator Equity

If you listen to the Joe Budden Podcast, you would know that Joe Budden frequents a few strip clubs in New York City and has been vocal about the lack of diversity and blatant colorism at NYC strip clubs. Budden took to Instagram on Thursday morning to issue a warning to NYC strip clubs.

“NY strip clubs, not only are you not hiring Black women, but you’re purposely hiring the SAME exact girl..” Budden said. “Your promoter having a type is gonna lose yall money this Summer.. this is disgusting (not the girls, the optics)” he added.

Many on social media came out in support of Budden’s remarks, noting the lack of diversity in NYC strip clubs. Others, however, made fun of Joe Budden, more so because he was taking a stand for inclusion in the strip clubs.

However, there were some people who didn’t support Budden. DJ Akademiks reposted Budden’s message on IG and Waka Flocka commented under, calling Budden a “soft ass.”

“Man shit yo soft ass up,” Waka replied. Budden then replied to Waka, “@wakaflocka or what?”

It is unclear why Waka responded to Budden’s message that way. Maybe Waka is on the list of artists that Budden has beef with. Regardless, do you agree with Budden?

Prosecutors argued he is the head of Young Slime Life. Allegedly a street gang that has committed multiple murders, shootings and carjacking’s over the last decade.

The 56-count indictment includes charges of murder, robbery, witness intimidation, drug and gun possession, drug dealing and carjacking. Other notable YSL rappers were also named in the indictment, including Gunna, who was denied bond last month.

Despite the strong plea from Thug’s defense, the judge sided with the state denying bond, while also citing a possible flight risk. Adding that Thugger would pose a risk of committing additional felonies, as the “top dog” if he were released.

Young Thug is being held at Cobb County. He faces charges of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act and participation in a criminal street gang. His trial date set for January 9, 2023.

Joyner Lucas Selects Four Emerging Artists To Collab for a Remix to His “Isis” Single

Joyner Lucas

Joyner Lucas has chosen four independent artists to remix his platinum-selling hit “Isis (feat. Logic)” through his startup, Tully, allowing them to get compensated while getting visibility.

Last month, the Boston native announced the competition, which required potential independent musicians to join Tully, download the “Isis” beat, record a verse, and send it to Lucas via the app.

Lucas selected four winners, Tone Catra @catra609, Lex Bratcher @lexbratcher, Starringo @iamstarringo, and Kvng Moses: @1kvngmoses, during an Instagram Live, where they will collaborate for a forthcoming mega-remix of Lucas’ hit song that will appear on all major digital service providers (DSPs).

Tully was developed in 2015 by Lucas and his business partner Dhruv Joshi as a way to expedite the creative music process using digital tools. The two collaborated to create tools that directly influenced Joyner’s independent music success, and they’re now sharing them with other musicians to keep them in complete control of their careers. Tully offers a 360-degree array of tools for artists to manage and expand their businesses, including guided workflows, organized asset management, templated industry contracts, publication, and licensing support.

Tully provides management services such as contract and split sheet storage and songwriting tools for artists to play, compose, and record music. This functionality is accessible via a smartphone app, which Lucas, an independent artist, uses. Tully allows independent musicians to collect 100% of their royalties, access royalty-free beats, and have digital copyrights for their creative work, among other benefits.

During the height of the pandemic in April 2020, Sony Music Entertainment announced a strategic investment into Tully and announced an expansion of features at the end of 2020.
