2022 NBA All-Star Weekend got underway on Friday night with the Rising Stars Challenge. With a new format and a series of games, were four seven -man rosters coached by Hall of Famers Isiah Thomas, Rick Barry, James Worthy and Gary Payton.

When it was all said and done, Team Barry outlasted Team Thomas to win the 2022 Clorox Rising Stars Challenge with Detroit Pistons Cade Cunningham being named MVP.

“It was a lot of fun,” Cunningham said after claiming the event’s MVP award. “Great teammates, great coaches, great atmosphere … I had a good time, for sure.”

With Cunningham leading the way, Team Barry came out and played a much more organized form of basketball then the other three teams. They actually was calling real plays and didn’t have the look of a pick up team.

“I tried to get some diversification, get some size, get some guys who can shoot the ball and just play good basketball,” Barry said. “I’m proud of these guys, cause every one of them did a good job. It was so great to see them playing basketball. They really went out and played the way the game should be played.”

New York collects 51% of the state’s sports betting revenue in taxes, and New Yo Kathy Hochul’s budget plan reportedly expects $357 million in FY2023 from the additional source. By 2026, it estimates $509 million.

“Sports betting has level the playing field for the average sports fan to make a nice living on the side.” Said Jeff Johnson of MSG Networks’ The Betting Exchange, a dynamic roundtable style show featuring co host Katie Mox and former New York Jets safety Erik Coleman.

Johnson explains some ways on how the average newbie can try his or her luck on this chance to come up in a hot new industry.

“Start with what you can afford to lose.” Said Johnson” Even if your’e not a sports fan, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action. Think betting sports props, and or do you research and learn trends and remember Las Vegas isn’t aways right.”

Donald and Stephen Glover Recount Being Racially Harassed In London While Filming Season 3 Of “Atlanta”

Donald Glover Helped Write Punch Lines in 'Black Panther'

While speaking at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour earlier this week, Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover recounted a racist experience the cast and crew of “Atlanta” had while filming in London.

Stephen said that they and some other cast and crew were approached by a group of drunk people asking if they knew of any local bars in the area. One of the men in the group then insisted that the primarily Black cast and crew were carrying guns so that they could break into any bar they wanted to.

“Mind you, all of the writers on Atlanta are Black. So, he’s making a reference that we all have hammers, and we can just break into this place, which we kind of ignored,” Stephen Glover said. “It was so insulting, but not insulting at the same time because it took us five minutes to fully understand. He got to a point of like if the insinuation was lost on us, he got specific and he was like, ‘You guys are Black, you’ve gone to jail and you do things like that.’ Like he kept doubling down on it.”

The guys in the group continued, telling the one woman that was with them that the Atlanta crew was going to “rape” her.

“We are just standing there, like, ‘What just happened,’” Donald Glover chimed in.

Stephen concluded the story, saying that “The girl was literally, like, ‘I’m sorry,’ as she’s being taken away. So, it was pretty bad.”

Season 3 of Atlanta premieres on March 24, with Season 4 premiering later this year as well.

Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Release Dates for Part 1 and Part 2 Announced

stranger things 4 crop

If you’re a fan of Netflix’s Stranger Things and you felt like you’ve been waiting too long for a new season, good news, the wait is almost over.

Starting with Season 4, Netflix said it will be split into two volumes, the first of which will be released on May 27. The second part will follow five weeks later, debuting on July 1. This is not a unique release strategy for Netflix, as the company also broke Ozark Season 4 into two parts.

Creators Matt and Ross Duffer said they wanted to split Stranger Things Season 4 into two parts due to its “unprecedented length.” The season had nine scripts and more than 800 pages, and it required two years of filming and “thousands” of VFX shots, the Duffer brothers said in a note to fans. The total runtime for Season 4 is almost twice the length of any of the previous seasons, and the brothers said Season 4 was the “most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one.”

The brothers also confirmed that the fifth season of Stranger Things is coming, and it will be the last. “Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four…” they said.

No word yet as to when season 5 of Stranger Things will arrive. In the meantime, we will have an extended season 4 after a long two-year absence.

‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ Showrunner Praises Writers For Bringing the Funny in New Season

First Look: 'Real Husbands of Hollywood: - More Kevin, More Problems' Set for Feb. 2022

The Real Husbands of Hollywood returns to BET+ after a nearly 6-year hiatus since the premiere of its fifth season. The original cast Kevin Hart, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, JB Smoove, Nelly, Nick Cannon, Robin Thicke, and more, reunite for a six-part limited series.

This season, similar to the past, is filled with celebrity guest appearances that have no issue stepping into the comedic landscape to serve the audience.

“I think Duane said it best,” says Boris Kodjoe. “We never said goodbye.”

Wayne Stamps, the series’ showrunner for season 6, says the timing of the revival could not have come at a better time.

“I just feel like now is the perfect time because people just need to laugh…. to relieve pressure and stress. There’s no show better that’s doing that than this.”

This season, similar to the past, is filled with celebrity guest appearances that have no issue stepping into the comedic landscape to serve the audience.

This revival is titled: ‘The Real Husbands of Hollywood – More Kevin, More Problem.

“The impetus for this season started with our conversation with Kevin. We asked him, ‘how are you doing all of this with so much going on in your life’” says Stamps. “Kevin does a great job of exaggerating his life on screen as well, which is a big help.”

Stamp credits the writing staff for building each episode with a comedic cliff-hanging sequence as “each episode gets more funny.”

Hart, who hilariously teased the show nearly a decade ago while hosting the 2012 BET Awards, is more booked and busy than ever. Hart is cloned to physically fulfill his personal and professional commitments with a jam-packed schedule.

What may have seemed like a good idea takes an unexpected turn that Kevin and the guys do their best to get control of? The guys are pulled into Kevin’s cloned chaos but have a dramady of their own.

“The best thing about this show is we all get made fun of equally,” says Robin Thicke.

Aaron Rodgers Calls of Engagement to Shallene Woodley

aaron rodgers shailene woodley

A Super Bowl championship ring won’t likely be the only ring that Aaron Rodgers won’t be getting in 2022 as the Green Bay quarterback recently ended his engagement to actress Shallene Woodley.

The news comes just a year after Rodgers, 38, and the Divergent actress, 30, announced their engagement, much to the surprise of many.

Neither Rodgers nor Woodley provided any official information about the split, although it appears to be fairly amicable. (The couple has no children.) A source told People that “it just wasn’t working” between the two, stating that Rodgers and Woodley very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount. They will remain friendly; there’s no bad blood and no drama. It just didn’t work out for them.”

Some have speculated that the split might have been caused by their drastically different political and social views. Whereas Woodley is an outspoken activist about many causes, Rodgers has been a prominent figure in the fight against mandated Covid-19 vaccinations.

Neither has posted anything on Instagram since the breakup announcement.
