This past weekend, NYC graffiti enthusiasts as well as those lucky enough to be in town for the weekend had the opportunity to meet and greet two of the Rotten Apple’s most prolific writers; NICEO CM and STEM YNN.

Both artists were on hand in Lower Manhattan’s graffiti haven Scrapyard NYC, where they signed copies of books, prints, canvasses and everything else with their name on it for those fortunate enough to get their hands on some of their limited pieces. The exhibit/signing, which was dubbed the “Real Graff vs. Anti-Graffiti” show, drew new fans and faithful supporters of the dynamic duo, who hail from the Upper West Side of Manhattan and the Flatbush section of Brooklyn respectively.

The show was scheduled to only take place on Saturday, but with such a large turnout until closing, STEM and NICEO came out for an encore appearance on Sunday for those who didn’t catch them on the 22nd.

STEM YNN(Your Neighborhood’s Next) and NICEO CM(Criminal Minded) have been killing the Tri-State and beyond for the past five years with their whole car, freight train productions that seem to be rolling out daily. STEM, who has perfected the art of caricature along with NICEO and his underground-to-commercial letter formation have created an unprecedented team that has brought pride back to NYC graff.

50 Cent Calls Pras a “rat” for being an FBI informant

50 Cent Calls Pras a 22rat22 for being an FBI informant

As the jury quietly deliberates the fate of Pras in his conspiracy case behind closed doors, other members of the public and hip-hop community are being very vocal in sharing their own opinions about the Fugees artist’s role in working with the FBI, including 50 Cent.

During his trial last week, Pras admitted that he had voluntarily offered information to the FBI, claiming that he reported certain information to the government agency because he “thought the FBI should know.”

This information seemed to shock the general public and didn’t sit well with fellow artist 50 Cent, who has had his own share of run-ins with the law. 50 took to Instagram and shared a screenshot of a news story with a headline that read: “The Fugees Rapper Pras Admits to Being an FBI Informant.”

50 captioned the photo with: “I knew this fool was a rat. I’m glad I never fvck with this guy. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi” following three laughing emojis.

Pras currently faces eleven charges, including conspiracy, witness tampering and failing to register as an agent of China. If convicted, he could face up to 22 years in prison.

Desiigner Says he is Checking into Mental Health Treatment Facility after Allegedly Exposing Himself on Plane

Desiigner Says he is Checking into Mental Health Treatment Facility after Allegedly Exposing Himself on Plane

Following a bizarre incident that occurred on a flight this week in which he allegedly exposed himself, hip-hop artist Desiigner says that he is taking some time to focus on his mental health and will be checking into a mental health treatment facility.

While details are still fuzzy, it appears that the “Panda” artist exposed himself on an international flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis and seemed to have been reprimanded by a flight attendant on the plane who alerted authorities in Minneapolis. Police were waiting for the artist when his plane landed and it appears that he was released without being held.

However, he did post to Instagram on Thursday. In the post, he appeared to acknowledge his struggle with mental health as well as noting that a medication prescribed to him in Asia may have caused a chemical imbalance. He wrote:

“For the past few months I have not been ok, and I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on,” the statement begins. “While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted in to a hospital, I was not thinking clearly. They gave me meds, and I had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, and am admitting my self in a facility to help me. I will be cancelling all of my shows and my obligations until further notice. Mental health is real guys, please pray for me. If [you’re] not feeling like yourself, please get help.”

Desiigner had originally been in Thailand as part of the Rolling Loud event series in the country that was held last weekend where he joined Cardi B, Travis Scott, and others. He also had reportedly performed at a venue in Tokyo.

No further updates have been provided on any of his social media accounts as of Friday.

Elon Musk Paints over ‘W’ on Twitter Headquarters Sign, now reads ‘Titter’

Elon Musk Paints over W on Twitter Headquarters Sign now reads Titter

Even though April Fools Day was over a week ago, the jokes apparently have not stopped for Elon Musk. Over the weekend, the eccentric Twitter CEO apparently defaced…his own business’s sign.

For reasons completely unclear, Musk had covered up the “w” on the company’s sign outside of its headquarters in San Francisco. While some assumed that it was a routine maintenance or repair issue, it appeared that Musk had done it….just because.

However, while some fans thought that the stunt was funny, the building’s landlord was apparently not having it, stating that the sign could not be altered from its previously-approved design.

Apparently Musk (or one of his staff) may have found a loophole in the contract that allowed them to paint the “w” the background color of the sign (white). While some people were unsure whether the painting was the work of vandalism, Musk proudly took credit on Sunday on (where else?) Twitter, showing off the new sign.

No word if the social media platform will officially be changing its name any time soon.

Billy McFarland Says that Fyre Fest II ‘Is Finally Happening’

Billy McFarland Says that Fyre Fest II ‘Is Finally Happening

If at first you don’t succeed, try again? That seems to be the mantra of Billy McFarland, the organizer of the infamous Fyre Fest music festival that spiraled into chaos and disaster, leaving thousands stranded in the Bahamas for a concert event that never materialized.

However, almost exactly six years to the date that the original Fyre Fest spiraled into disaster, McFarland seems to be ready to give it another go, tweeting his plans for Fyre Fest II and inviting fans to tell him why they should be invited.

Naturally, the responses were every bit as hilarious as expected with some respondents volunteering to bring food and water with others offering their therapy or DJ-ing services. One user gave the response: “Because I’m forklift certified.”

The first Fyre Fest, which was set to happen over two weekends (April 28–30 and May 5–7, 2017) had teased major headliners such as Ja Rule, Blink 182, and Lil Yachty with A-list celebrities such as Kendall Jenner promoting the event on their social media. However, no performances took place and McFarland ended up pleading guilty to two counts of wire fraud charges and serving just over four years of his original six year prison sentence.

While McFarland may be free and planning a comeback event, one thing is likely certain- the event will not be held in the Bahamas again. Aviation Chester Cooper, Bahamas Minister of Tourism, said that the Bahamas will not endorse or approve any event in associated with McFarland, stating that he “is considered to be a fugitive.”

[LISTEN] Joe Budden Rips Former Co-Hosts Rory & Mal Over Recent Comments

Screen Shot 2023 04 10 at 1.10.31 AM

Joe Budden and his former co-hosts are back at it again.
Podcasters Rory and Mal recently called the New Jersey native a “thief” and “cat burglar” for the alleged financial issues they had host, which ultimately ended their relationship.

Budden has fired back and referred to them as the “bare minimum” boys — a  reference to Drake’s track “BackOutsideBoyz” from his and 21 Savage’s Her Loss album. Although Budden appears to throw subliminals at Rory and Mal, he never says their names.

“To whom this may concern,” he began. “This is not even on page one of the manual, ’cause you n-ggas ain’t in the bookstore. Instead of critiquing people’s placement on this list, we need more critiquing on why you’re not on it. To everyone not on it, shut the fuck up. There’s some steps that you n-ggas have missed.

“To whom it may concern, stop holding a microphone. I’m just giving out podcast advice. It’s certain n-ggas, y’all can’t speak to me, y’all didn’t do the work yet. You didn’t go to the bookstore.”

“Hire the editors. Get people to help. Invest in the staff. Pay the staff. Get more staff. Stop check chasing. Stop doing the bare minimum and expecting that to yield results. You n-ggas are the bare minimum boys.”

Mal has previously said there’s no chance of reconciliation for the former friends.
“I don’t respect him at all,” Mal stated. “Shake his hand? I’ll shake the room before I shake his hand. That’s just what it is. It’s not even about the business or the money. It’s a lot of money, it’s a lot of money, bro, that me and Rory walked away from. It’s a lot of money that was taken out of our pockets. It’s a lot of money that still to this day, we don’t have no lawyers going after it. Keep it. We got our own bag.”

He continued: “But, with that money that we walked away from, with that, what was owed to us that we walked away from, that was also me walking away from a relationship and a chapter of life that, once I walk away, you know, that door never opens again.”
