Last night, Women’s National Basketball Players Association Executive Director, Terri Jackson was interviewed on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Jackson spoke to Trevor about Brittney Griner, who has been detained in Russia for five months.
The Phoenix Mercury star entered a guilty plea over a week ago while saying she “didn’t want to break the law.” The guilty plea aids as a pre-condition for consideration of a negotiated release and possible prisoner exchange between Russia and the U.S.
Griner is facing up to 10 years in prison on the charge of large-scale transportation of drugs. Less than 1% of defendants in Russian criminal cases are acquitted, which can be overturned.
Jakson explains why the WNBA was told not to respond or comment publicly when Griner was first detained. She also shared comments that many people feel Griner is being used as a political pawn. Griner “should not be a political pawn,” Jackson continued. “We are BG,” calling on the Biden administration, what comes next and much more in the clip below.

Former The Real co-host Loni Love shades her former bosses for never acknowledging her birthday.
The “Soul Plane” actress turned 51 on July 14, and her new co-host of “E! Daily Pop,” Justin Sylvester, and the day’s guest co-host, “Full House” actress Jodie Sweeten, surprised her with a trombone-and-trumpet “Happy Birthday” performance by The Potash Twins, as well as a sweet birthday message from former co-host Tamera Mowery.
“I was on a show for 8 seasons and never got a birthday surprise .. I am humbled for this. Thank you to my @ENews fam“
Loni Love fired back at a fan after the reality TV host claimed her former hosting job The Real never gave her a solo birthday surprise celebration.
Although Love showed appreciation for the sweet gesture from E!, fans couldn’t help but point out her shade directed at the Daytime Emmy-winning talk show.
One fan in particular uploaded a throwback clip from 2016 underneath Love’s tweet that showed Love being given a surprise birthday celebration with her July birthday twin Tamera. However Love stated the clip only validated her point.
She responded, “Like I said, eight seasons boo.. Never got one, that was a combo.. Oop.”
TheShadeRoom reposted Loni’s message onto their Instagram page, and fans didn’t understand the reasoning behind the dig.
“There was no need for the shade, seeming a little bitter.”
“Sooo why didn’t you say anything for 8 seasons?”
“So she also had an issue with the show but stood 10 toes down defending them when other people spoke out about the show?”

We couldn’t help but notice how beautiful Cardi looked in the “Hot Sh*t video that dropped on Tuesday, July, 12 featuring Ye and Lil Durk. The video shows Cardi defying gravity and scaling the NYC skyline, playing with fire in an all-white room, and an all-out icy diamond look from the jewelry, and make-up down to the stiletto nail tips. Cardi’s Glam Squad definitely understood the assignment when it came to creating the looks. Nothing about Cardi looked regular smegular in this video, and with Law Roach on fashion; Tokyo Styles on hair; Marie Nailz on the stiletto Crystal Clar nails and Erika La’Pearl on makeup, there was no detail overlooked. We became obsessed with everything about it, especially makeup. Thankfully for us, her MUA, Erika La’ Pearl revealed a few of her face card secrets and the exact products she used on her with all of her Instagram followers and we are forever grateful. To get the look, we gathered all the products and shopping info that you’ll need to keep your face card tight for the rest of the summer.

Influencer Amber Rose recently had a candid conversation regarding her beliefs about God and Christianity. She reveals she found Buddhism and that feels right to her. In a candid conversation, Amber Rose tells Raquel Harper on the It’s Tricky Podcast why she questions the religion.
“I had a lot of questions about God that just didn’t add up. I believe in science, more than, like an invisible entity named God was like, ‘Let there be light,’ It just seems far fetched to me.”
“And I just don’t believe Jesus died for my sins and came back to life. That’s ludicrous.”
She also adds, that science and the theory of evolution are just more logical to her. She says she did grow up going to church, and was even told by her mom what TV shows to avoid due to “the devil” — but as she’s grown up, she’s only developed more questions than answers about religion. Especially about some of the Bible stories.
Kehlani became a trending topic on Twitter on Wednesday after a video clip posted by Christian Walker, son of the current Republican Senate nominee for Georgia, Herschel Walker, goes viral while they are in a Starbucks drive-through. The bruhaha all started when Walker, 22 posted a video of the heated exchange on his Twitter account, “This mediocre singer that everyone’s forgotten about, Kehlani, told my baristas at Starbucks that I was an ‘a**hole’ and to be ‘safe around me.’ Well, I set her straight.” Continuing, “I’m tired of these fake woke people being rude to everyone and acting like they’re the good ones.” in the video Walker is filming Khelani who looks completely unscathed and unbothered, in her car while walker is yelling “Everyone’s entitled to an opinion-you’re so rude, or you wouldn’t be telling barista workers that I’m an a-hole…Get your drink and go.
Fans of Kehlani quickly jumped in and responded pointing out how calm and collected the singer remained while criticizing walker for approaching the car” Kehlani looking radiant and unbothered. At the same time, Christian Walker is pressed and distressed.” one wrote.
Kehlani joins in later by posting a screenshot of part of the video with the caption in Instagram stories “A Taurus” and also responding on Twitter with a video letting fans know that part of why she was calm was because while the altercation was going down, she coincidentally was on a virtual therapy session with her therapist talking about people misplacing anger when they are ma. She ended it by posting a picture giving an air kiss and writing “Therapy works babes, I’m living proof.”
