Teyana Taylor Accuses Iman Shumpert of Endangering Children in Nasty Custody Battle

Tensions are escalating in the custody battle between singer Teyana Taylor and former NBA player Iman Shumpert, with Taylor accusing Shumpert of neglecting the safety of their children. The divorce proceedings, already marked by legal disputes, have taken a new turn as Taylor alleges Shumpert’s parenting choices pose risks to their two kids.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Taylor doesn’t hold back in criticizing Shumpert’s parenting skills. She claims that Shumpert consistently fails to meet the basic needs of their children, even neglecting to provide them with proper meals while they are in his care.

One of the most serious allegations is Taylor’s assertion that Shumpert smokes marijuana around the children and is sometimes under the influence when taking care of them. The documents outline instances where Taylor believes Shumpert’s actions have jeopardized the safety of their kids.

One specific incident mentioned in the legal filing involves Shumpert reportedly putting the children in a rideshare in Chicago, having them dropped off at the United Center alone, while he opted for a private driver to take him to the arena.

Summing up her concerns, Taylor claims that Shumpert “consistently demonstrates a clear disregard for the safety of the minor children.” These allegations come in response to Shumpert’s denial of Taylor’s previous claim that he made her feel endangered during their time together.

As the divorce proceedings unfold, the public watches closely as this once-united couple faces off in a heated custody battle that sheds light on their differing views on parenting and child safety.

Last year filmmaker Tyler Perry vowed to build a five-bedroom house with a swimming pool for a 93-year-old woman South Carolina senior, Josephine Wright after developers pressured her to sell her land.  Tyler got in touch with the family and asked Josephine what she wanted in a new home, and she told him 5 bedrooms plus a pool. Tyler agreed and his team sent Josephine the blueprints.

Now in a heartfelt post, Tyler Perry pays his condolences after Ms. Wright passes away. The mogul promises to give the home to her 4 children and 40 grandchildren. In a post on Instagram Perry wrote:

I am so heartbroken to hear about the passing of this warrior. Ms. Josephine Wright, even though we spoke by phone, I was so looking forward to meeting you in person next month to hand you the keys to your new house, but God had other plans.
My prayer is that you rest in peace knowing that I will honor the commitment that I made to you.
I know you will be watching over us all as I hand those same keys to your family.

So your 4 children, 40 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren will still be able to gather at YOUR house on YOUR land and tell the world what kind of fighter that you were. You have run your race and fought an incredible fight! Journey well my dear lady. You have inspired me.

Rest in Power Ms. Wright!

Jasmine Guy, celebrated for her iconic portrayal of southern belle Whitley Gilbert in the classic sitcom “A Different World,” has finally received the recognition she deserves. The accomplished actress was honored at the 75th Creative Arts Emmys, where she clinched her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. Her award-winning role was in Prime Video’s “Chronicles of Jessica Wu.” She’s the third Black woman in the ceremony’s history to capture the trophy following previous winners KeKe Palmer and Jasmine Cephas Jones.

Taking to TikTok to share her joy, Jasmine Guy exclaimed, “This is Jasmine Guy, and I just won an Emmy. Yay, yay!” The elated actress proudly displayed her well-deserved trophy.

Despite her remarkable career spanning 42 years, it’s surprising that this marks Jasmine Guy’s first Emmy win, considering the widespread acclaim she garnered for her portrayal of Whitley Gilbert. While “A Different World” earned her four NAACP Image Awards, an Emmy nod had eluded her until now.

Jasmine Guy’s television journey began in 1982 as a dancer on the series “Fame.” Throughout her illustrious career, she has graced various TV series with her talent, including recurring roles in “Touched by an Angel” (CBS, 1995-1997) and the current Prime Video hit, “Harlem.”

This long-overdue recognition at the Creative Arts Emmys is a testament to Jasmine Guy’s enduring impact on the world of television, and fans are thrilled to see her finally getting the flowers she rightfully deserves.

Jonathan Majors Breaks Silence in Exclusive ABC News Interview Following Assault Conviction

linsay jonathan 745x498

Award-winning actor Jonathan Majors, known for his roles in acclaimed projects like “Lovecraft Country,” recently granted his first interview since a Manhattan jury found him guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

ABC News Anchor Linsey Davis conducted the interview, set to air on Disney-owned ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday, January 11. Clips from the interview will be featured on “GMA3” on Monday, January 8, with an exclusive half-hour special airing on “Impact x Nightline” on Hulu.

The 34-year-old actor was arrested and charged with assaulting Jabbari on March 25, leading to a trial that began in December. Despite denials and counter-accusations, Majors was convicted on December 18 on a single charge of assault and harassment. His sentencing is scheduled for February 6, with a maximum potential jail term of one year.

Following the conviction, Disney/Marvel Studios severed ties with Majors, dropping him from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The studio is reportedly considering openly gay actor Colman Domingo as Majors’ replacement.

Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, expressed gratitude for the not guilty verdicts on two additional charges. “It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her. We are grateful for that,” Chaudhry stated. However, she expressed disappointment that, despite discrediting Jabbari’s account, the jury found Majors somehow reckless during the altercation.

The interview provides an opportunity for Majors to share his perspective and shed light on the trial’s intricacies, adding another layer to a complex and challenging chapter in his career.

Taraji P. Henson Raises Concerns Over Lack of Transportation Support for “The Color Purple” Cast

Taraji P. Henson Stars in Trailer for'What Men Want'

This comes on the heels of a previously resolved pay dispute where Henson, alongside the cast, had concerns about their salaries. The intervention of Oprah Winfrey, an executive producer of the film, facilitated the resolution of the payment issue.

Henson’s latest grievance revolves around the lack of chauffeured transportation to the set while filming in Atlanta. In an interview with the New York Times, she emphasized the potential safety hazards of driving herself, stating, “They gave us rental cars, and I was like, ‘I can’t drive myself to the set in Atlanta.’ This is insurance liability; it’s dangerous. Now they’re robbing people. What do I look like, taking myself to work by myself in a rental car?”

The acclaimed actress raised a valid point about the need for equal treatment, emphasizing that her request for a driver or security was not an extravagant demand. However, the production company reportedly responded that providing such services for her would necessitate extending the same to everyone.

Henson expressed frustration, stating, “It’s stuff like that, stuff I shouldn’t have to fight for. I was on the set of ‘Empire’ fighting for trailers that weren’t infested with bugs.”

This battle for equal treatment in the industry has taken a toll on Henson’s mental health. “It wears on your soul because you fight so hard to establish a name for yourself and be respected in this town to no avail,” she shared.

Support for Henson poured in from her fans, who echoed her concerns about the potential danger of stars driving themselves in unfamiliar cities, particularly in a place like Atlanta with high crime rates. The sentiment on social media reflected a consensus that Henson’s request for proper transportation was not unreasonable but a matter of basic safety and respect for the cast.

Taraji P. Henson Surprised By Pay Disparity Support: ‘Women Of Color Have Said The Same For Years’

empire trailer video fox taraji p henson

Actress Taraji P. Henson went viral last month after breaking down in tears during an interview with Gayle King about black women’s pay in Hollywood. Taraji talked about the pay disparities for Black female actors and revealed she was considering quitting her acting career. Now Taraji shares she was surprised by the overwhelming support, because she along with other women of color have been talking about this publicly for years to no avail.

ETonline reports:

Taraji P. Henson was not expecting the amount of support, feedback and attention she has received since passionately speaking out about her experiences with pay disparity throughout her career.

The Color Purple actress walked the red carpet at this years’ Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Film Awards at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Thursday, and she spoke with ET’s Denny Directo about her message, and why she wasn’t expecting it to hit so hard with so many people.

“[It’s] because I’ve been saying it for years,” Henson shared. “If you go and do research and look at any women of color in the industry, they said the same thing.”

“I don’t know why people decided to hear the words [this time], maybe it was the emotion attached to it,” she added. “But like I said in the interview, I’m just tired of us having that same conversation. Something’s gotta give.”

Cardi B Seeks Dismissal of Claims in Ongoing Lawsuit Over Alleged Medical Office Altercation

cardi b cries

Four years after rapper Cardi B faced a lawsuit from a security guard at her OBGYN’s office, the legal battle continues as Cardi pushes for the dismissal of multiple claims before the upcoming trial.

Cardi B is actively seeking the dismissal of the claims of false imprisonment and violating the Bane Act in the lawsuit filed by security guard Emani Ellis. The Bane Act, a California law, prohibits the use of force or threats of violence to interfere with a person’s constitutional rights.

As reported by Radar Online, Ellis initially sued Cardi B, alleging that she was physically assaulted after requesting a photo with the rapper. Ellis claimed that Cardi used racial slurs and profanities during the incident, leading to her termination from her job. Cardi vehemently denied all allegations.

In the recent motion, Cardi’s legal team argued for the dismissal of the false imprisonment claim, citing that it was filed past the statute of limitations. According to Cardi, the claim should have been brought within one year of the alleged incident in February 2018, but Ellis filed the lawsuit in February 2020.

The second claim Cardi seeks to dismiss revolves around Ellis alleging that Cardi interfered with her constitutional right to engage in legitimate employment. Cardi’s lawyer countered that Ellis failed to demonstrate how Cardi, as an entertainment celebrity and not a state actor, could legally violate any constitutional rights.

As the trial is set to commence on February 1, Cardi B has also previously requested the court to exclude testimony about her net worth as evidence and to prevent any mention of past altercations with third parties during the proceedings.

TS Madison Calls Out Lil Boosie’s Selective Outrage With The LGBTQ Community

Screen Shot 2024 01 03 at 12.15.59 PM

This week, rapper Boosie was up in arms when he took his daughter to see the film ‘The Color Purple’ and realized there was a romantic relationship between the characters Miss Celie and Shug Avery. While the Louisiana rapper expressed his views on Twitter, he doubled down and called the LGBQT community bullies. Transgender influencer TS Madison responded on social media calling out Boosie’s selective outrage.

TS Madison wrote:

So #lilboosie you sat there with your daughter while Celie “Daddy” took her 2nd child that he fathered and gave it to the pastor and his wife

You sat there with your daughter while Mister Came and bought her from her daddy at 14

You sat there with your daughter while MISTER enslaved CELIE to cook and clean his nasty house with HIS children

You sat there with your daughter and watched MISTER beat, sexually destroy and Drag Celie all over the floor

You sat there with your daughter and watched MISTER bring his side chick into the house with CELIE

But you got up to leave when you saw CELIE finally find love and compassion and some sort of temporary relief from MISTERS prison???

Then you try and come to social media and bring the “what about the kids mane” campaign you been on and attempt to use God to justify you and the people who stand with you ???? Tuh… and they call us DELUSIONAL

Sir: the character you play in real life is MISTER, The Daddy, The pastor and all the other men who abused CELIE in that movie!! And have the nerve to finally be “concerned” about what a kiss would do to “influence” your daughter……..

There is Truly some intervention needed in your life to sort out these homosexual demons you’re fighting…… #shifttheconcern this year #2024
