Stephen A. Smith Tells Haters To “Kiss My A**”

A lot has been made about the recent talent cuts made by ESPN. It’s the latest cost-saving measure made by Disney after they made a paltry $82 billion last year. In a similar move, National Geographic, which Disney also owns, fired its entire writing staff and will move to a digital-only production. However, for many sports fans, the ESPN cuts ran especially deep. Not only did engaging and beloved contributors like Jalen Rose and Keyshawn Johnson get the axe, but the company also laid off some true legacy stars. Max Kellerman had been with ESPN since 1998, for example. The aforementioned Johnson was laid off after 15 years with the broadcaster.

Obviously, a few big names escaped this round of layoffs. Pat McAfee, who will join ESPN this fall, received a large amount of criticism for officially signing his massive contract with the company in the wake of the layoffs. Meanwhile, Stephen A. Smith also remains at the company. Smith is somewhat of a divisive figure for many. Building his brand as a talking head, many see him simply as a “hot take factory” whose job it is to boost ESPN‘s engagement. However, Smith is also a diligent and insightful journalist who usually has a reason behind whatever wild thing he is saying on First Take that day. However, in true Stephen A. fashion, Smith took to The Stephen A. Smith Show to address people who wished that he had been laid off.

Smith Addresses Haters

“Let me address something,” Smith began. “To some of the haters out there about me. Y’all can kiss my ass. Twice. I’m talking directly to the people in the industry who sat up there and said ‘Why isn’t Stephen A. gone?’ Ladies and gentlemen, we got a few people here at ESPN getting paid more than me. They don’t have the number one show, the top ratings. They don’t generate more revenue. How come y’all don’t bring their names up? And by the way, none of them are Black.”

He continued. “How come you don’t bring their names up? I wonder why? I’m talking to those folks, the critics in the media, or the wannabe media with the blogosphere and websites that never went through the terrain of being members, official members, of the fourth estate. I’m talking about them. How come y’all don’t bring them up? But me, who’s been number one, who’s got the top-rated show. Who, by the way, is an executive producer on that top-rated show. My name comes up.”

Summer Walker Puts Instagram Troll On Blast

Anybody who exists in the public eye is going to have to deal with some trolls. Many artists have found their own way to deal with the haters, including Summer Walker. According to the Jasmine Brand, she put a hater on blast earlier today for switching their tone on her. After Summer posted a photo of herself and boyfriend Lil Meech a fan swiped up and said “you look like you stink girl.” But Summer had receipts and posted a screenshot to her story of old DMs from the same fan reaching out to her with praise.

In the comments, fans debated whether Summer Walker did the right thing. Some point out the audacity of particular fans who feel like they can say anything to their favorite artists. Others called out Summer herself for never responding to the fun until their messages turned negative. Regardless the altercation got fans’ attention and got people debating about how to handle haters online.

Summer Walker Has Receipts For Hater

Summer Walker and Lil Meech have been turning heads all over the place recently. The pair sported matching all-black outfits on the BET Awards red carpet that got plenty of attention. It was a pleasant surprise to see that side of them again following all the drama that came earlier last month. In a viral story, Summer Walker hit up the DMs of a woman who appeared to be wearing Lil Meech’s chain. Through a back-and-forth series of clarifications, it seems the couple have smoothed things over.

Earlier this year Summer Walker dropped her CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE EP to much acclaim. The project sports features from two superstars in J. Cole and Childish Gambino; The songs both artists feature on, in particular J. Cole, have racked up millions of streams in the weeks since the EP first dropped. It was Summer Walker’s first new release since her Life On Earth EP in 2020. What do you think about Summer Walker’s response to a trolling fan? Let us know in the comment section below.

Yung Miami Says She Doesn’t Even Need To Rap When Clapping Back At Haters

Yung Miami’s relationship with rap, especially as it relates to people’s assessment of her skills, is actually a complicated one. Two years ago, the City Girl shared that she had only been rapping for three years before blowing up alongside JT. In addition, she’s responded plenty of times to haters who bash on her music and rapping skills, always brushing it off. Still, clearly she cares at least a little bit, or enough to warrant Twitter responded like the one she let off on Monday (June 19). In it, she insinuated that things are going so well for her right now that rap doesn’t need to be part of the equation.

“So I said “h*e RAP FOR WHAT? this p***y pay the bills!!!” Yung Miami tweeted. “Cause y’all always saying I can’t rap but I ain’t even gotta rap tho!! LIFE IS GREAT b***h do you see how I’m living??? I ain’t never said I was no lyricist either tho lmaooo,” she concluded with crying emojis. Of course, the 29-year-old likely referenced backlash to her teasing a remix of “Put It On Da Floor.”

Yung Miami’s Response To The Haters

Back when she referenced only rapping for three years, she commented on needing some time to reach her full potential. Whether she’s reaching it right now is your own opinion, but hype around her music plus her podcasting endeavors certainly point at that being the case. “I be rapping my a** off fr now I wanna go to the studio!” Yung Miami wrote on Twitter. “For me to only be rapping for 3 yrs with no experience I feel like I do good af idgaf who think differently. I use to be so shy and nervous I couldn’t record in front of nobody and I never wanted nobody to hear but now I’m more confident ion care who in the room I be like turn it up!!! Tf. We all gotta start from somewhere just give me room to grow.”

Meanwhile, a recent Twitter Q&A with fans had her answering all sorts of questions. Whether it was about upcoming music, Diddy, or not wearing panties, the Florida native dished it all out. We’re most likely going to get much more from the City Girls in the future, as fans are very excited for their musical comeback. Blue Ivy’s “RENAISSANCE” World Tour Performance Defended By The BeyHive As Haters Lash Out

11-year-old Blue Ivy Carter is younger than many of the other well-known nepo babies, but already, her resume is more impressive than some celebrity children who are triple her age. Earlier this year, the young girl joined Beyonce on stage in Paris (where she was previously conceived) during the RENAISSANCE World Tour. She appeared during “My Power,” and managed to keep up with the gaggle of dancers around her, as well as her mother who was beaming with pride at the sight of Blue Ivy being cheered on by 80,000 fans watching them.

No matter how pleased the Carters were with their eldest daughter’s work, miserable haters on the internet still found time to criticize her. For the most part, people appear to take issue with Blue being “stiff” while dancing. “Dear Black Women, Blue Ivy is 11 years old performing for the first time in front of 80K people,” one Twitter user wrote amid all the negative discourse. “Stop hyper-sexualizing her saying she’s too stiff or making inappropriate comments about her body. Y’all are no different than the men. She’s a child. Y’all acting like pedos.”

Beyonce Brings Out Her Eldest Daughter

“There is no need to oversexualize her but she is still stiff. And it’s okay for y’all to admit that. I have seen a lot of kids younger than her dance way better,” someone attempted to argue in the replies. “You don’t understand what age-appropriate means,” the OP shot back.

In response to another comment, they later wrote, “She dances like most 11-year-old kids. It’s beyond weird it’s [mostly] women making comments comparing her to a seasoned pro and adult.” Even with the hate, Blue looked cool and composed after finishing her iconic show, and will likely make more appearances at her mom’s future tour dates.

Scar Lip Hits Haters Asking About Her Lip Below The Belt

NYC rapper Scar Lip recently took to Instagram to respond to haters who wouldn’t stop asking about her scar. When asked during a Live, “What actually happened to your lip?” she responded, “What actually happened to that little tiny wee-wee of yours?” She continued, saying, “That’s nothing but a tiny wee-wee of yours. It’s like the n**gas with the tiny wee-wee’s you fall in love with them, right? or Nah, not really.”

Scar Lip shared the origin of her lip scar with XXL, revealing that it’s a result of being attacked by her brother. She began, saying, “It was a situation where I was going to a football game and my aunt was like you gotta come back at a certain time and I was like ‘alright whatever…’” “I came back before I was supposed to be in the house, and then my family is acting like they’re not home,” Scar Lip explained. “They cut off all the lights to make it seem like they wasn’t home. So I’m knocking on their door because mind you, I’m 16, I live with them I don’t got nowhere else to stay. So I’m knocking on the door waiting for them to open the door and that’s when my little sister came downstairs and she said, ‘Oh you can’t come in,’” she continued.

DDG Believes All His Haters Are “Ten Times Broker” Amid Kankan Beef

If you’re not getting RIAA certifications of flexing seven-digit account numbers, DDG doesn’t want to hear your hate. Moreover, the rapper recently faced a spat with fellow MC Kankan, who called the former’s new track “f***ing a**.” In response, the YouTube star searched for the underground rhymer in the RIAA’s list of certifications, found nothing, and posted a screenshot of it above his tweet. Whether you think his rap career has been corny or creative, it’s no secret that he’s on the rise. As such, he also expressed on the social media platform that he won’t respond to criticism that’s not coming from his level of success.

“I only get hated on by n***as that’s 10x broker than me,” DDG tweeted. “From now on if u can’t show at least million cash liquid in your account i’m not responding to anything negative.” Unfortunately for him, a lot of shade thrown his way stems from circumstances outside of his rap career. For one, his relationship with Halle Bailey fell under much speculation and scrutiny recently as breakup rumors surged. Still, they seemed to persevere through it all, despite the heavy toll it takes to be so discussed on social media, as The Little Mermaid star expressed.

“The biggest thing I’ve learned in dating when it comes to dating in the public eye, is that everybody’s gonna have an opinion about you, whether it’s good or bad,” she reflected concerning her relationship with DDG. In fact, some referred to him as an “E-list rapper” after rumors swirled, adding insult to injury. At least he laughed it off and clearly continued to hone his talents. “I’ve had this since I was younger,” Bailey continued. “I think because I’ve grown up, kind of in the public eye, people think they have this sort of… I don’t know, that they can say what they feel about my life. Like they do with everyone in the public eye. But I’ve realized, for me, I just go with my heart.

“It’s hard when you’re in the public eye because social media is also a part of your work, it’s a big part of what I do!” she went on. “I have to set healthy boundaries for myself, ‘cuz just like anyone, if you see all these people saying whatever they want about you, your life, what you choose to decide… That could take a toll on anyone, so I just have to choose to step aside and not look at any of that. Just live in the real world. That’s what makes me happy.” For more news and the latest updates on DDG, come back to HNHH.

Summer Walker & Lil Meech Goof Off, She Claps Back At Haters Asking Why Same Energy Isn’t Given On Stage

Summer Walker fans are undeniably happy to see the R&B starlet in high spirits after hard launching her relationship with Lil Meech on social media. While the two seem to continuously laughing and smiling in each other’s company, external forces have been fighting hard to cause a rift between them. Celina Powell’s recent antics, such as sharing an alleged video of her and the BMF actor being intimate on OnlyFans, were an apparent attempt to split the new lovers up, but ultimately, Walker proved how much she’s grown in recent months by trolling her man rather than getting wrapped up in the internet drama.

On Friday (May 12), the mother of three kept the good vibes going, showing off some of her silliest dance moves as Meech watched on. In one of the clips posted on her Instagram Story, Walker even tagged Chris Brown, suggesting that her choreography could rival his. “You don’t want none of this,” she joked with her fellow R&B star. Rather than revelling in the happiness Summer chose to share with the world, haters took the opportunity to ask the vocalist why she fails to deliver the same energy on stage. “Doin’ all this on IG, but keep hittin’ that stage like she paralyzed lips down,” one user wrote in @theshaderoom’s comments yesterday.

Lil Meech Brings Out Summer Walker’s Goofy Side

After catching wind of the hateful comments, Walker took a moment to address them in another IG post, even demonstrating why dancing so freely wouldn’t work with her style of music. “I’m tired. If I came out on stage like this to this slow ass music they’d say it’s crack,” she wrote in her caption. “Like please.” With a song of her own blaring in the background, the Still Over It songstress proceeds to mount a chair in front of her, wildly swaying her hips along to prove a point.

“Are y’all catching my drift now?” she asked haters after taking the time to clear them. “It’s not adding up right.” No matter what critics have to say about her laid-back sets, die-hard fans of Walker are eager to hear her first project since 2021 later this month. During her set at Dreamville Festival a few weeks ago she confirmed that Clear 2: Soft Life will be dropping in the near future, and will likely be a part of many summer playlists as it circulates in the weeks after.

Coi Leray Twerks To New Singles & Calls Out Haters During Something In The Water Set: Watch

During her second weekend at Coachella earlier this month, Latto took a moment during her set to show some love to Coi Leray. The latter rapper was left upset after assuming that the 777 Radio host had body-shamed her on her “Put It On Da Floor” single. However, her contemporary made it clear that there was no malice intended in her lyrics. Things seemed to be cool between Latto and Leray at that point. Nevertheless, the Boston baddie’s set during Pharrell’s Something in the Water Festival on Saturday (April 29) now has us thinking otherwise.

In between performing some of her most popular hits, Coi took a moment to address the critics she’s been dealing with as of late. “People talk shit every f*cking day,” the 25-year-old yelled to the massive crowd watching her. “Every day it’s a hater on my d*ck, a new bitch got my name in her mouth. Somebody got something weird.” Thankfully, Leray has her team on her side supporting her, along with God. “You can’t do it without them, period,” she reminded her fans.

Coi Leray Addresses Her Critics

“If you a selfish bitch and you wanna be on some, ‘Imma do it myself,’ don’t be one of them,” her message ended before launching into another song. Leray obviously didn’t name-drop Latto while she was ranting. Still, knowing that the Trendsetter was certainly in her feelings after hearing the “Wheelie” hitmaker’s lyrics gives us an idea as to what may have motivated her speech. Elsewhere during her time on stage, she sang “No More Parties,” “FLY SH!T,” and her Nicki Minaj collaboration, “Blick Blick,” just to name a few.

Others who put on a show during day two of Something in the Water include The Kid LAROI, the Jonas Brothers, Lil Yachty, Summer Walker, and Pharrell’s Phriends – and that was just on the event’s Solar Stage. Scroll further to catch more videos from Coi Leray’s latest festival set. Afterward, tell us which of her two new singles, “My Body” or “Bops,” is your favourite in the comments.

Ne-Yo Shares Open Message To People Hating On His Personal Life

Ne-Yo’s been in the news quite a bit recently, but he doesn’t see that as an excuse for people to comment on his personal life. Moreover, the R&B singer came through with a couple of Instagram Story posts blasting people speaking on his name. Furthermore, he launched some light jabs and harsher critiques throughout his “unbothered” rant, claiming that people are probably just jealous. Most recently, he finalized his divorce after he apparently cheated on his wife and fathered a child with another woman. Even with a lot of drama surrounding him, he wanted to make it clear that it’s not getting to him, even though that’s exactly what a social media post about backlash suggests.

“I just need the whole world to understand this,” Ne-Yo began his message. “Your opinions of me and my personal life don’t mean ANYTHING to me. My kids love me, my women love me. My future is bright as f**k!! I don’t even have time to concern myself with what y’all think. I feel like the father in ‘The Nutty Professor.’ ‘You really think I be listening to you. ION BE LISTENING TO YOU!!’

Ne-Yo Blasts The Haters

“I might come from the Omarion school of unbotheredness,” Ne-Yo continued. “I hope everybody that needs to see this sees it. Cause I’ve already wasted too much time trying to let y’all know. Feel how you wanna feel about me. Imma still sleep comfortable as hell tonight and every night following. Meanwhile you mad cause I’m living….. Tf!?? How’s that working out for you…? Ok. Back to regularly scheduled program. Healthy, smart, and beautiful kids, limitless bank account, beautiful baby mama’s (Front [if] you want to. They all bad.) And lady friends that love my dirty drawls. ‘Life is good…’ (Future voice).

“Now run n’ tell the shaderoom I said it,” he concluded prophetically. “Sad muthaf***as. Ion smile all the time just because my s**t is beautiful. I smile cause I’m HAPPY AS F**K!! Go get you some.” If he stays in the news, perhaps this won’t be the last rant we hear from the 43-year-old. On that note, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Ne-Yo.

Cardi B Calls Out Online Haters

Cardi B has never been quiet on her opinions, or her beefs. She is currently collecting checks from YouTuber Tasha K while she awaits the verdict of a defamation lawsuit. She’s beefed with Akbar V in the past. And then there was the recent video where she took fans behind the scenes of her life.

However, Cardi’s outspokenness has garnered her a lot of haters. Not just in her beefs and in the music scene, but just out in the wider world. Obviously, there is the general misogyny aimed at a successful woman of color in the rap scene. But some people are just rubbed the wrong way by Cardi. However, the musician is now clapping back at hater culture and in classic Cardi fashion, she is not holding back.

Cardi B Says Haters Are “Nerds”

On April 28, Cardi tweeted out a message to the haters of the world. “That mean girl persona y’all put on for the internet don’t fool me. I can tell y’all were NERDS in high school.” The tweet comes a day after Cardi tweeted about a viral TikTok. In the video, a woman recounts her experience at a Houston Astros game where a group of women made fun of her. Cardi retweeted the TikTok saying “I would of put that ring to use”. Cardi also changed her profile picture on Twitter to an image of Penn Badgley from You. Badgley’s character is a serial killer who typically targets entitled assholes.

Additionally, Cardi’s comments about “mean girls” comes during her legal battle with blogger Tasha K. Cardi is currently awaiting a decision in a $4M lawsuit against the YouTuber, who is accused of making slanderous comments about Cardi. However, Cardi also elaborated on her tweet in a second retweet. “LmAOooo naaa it just be so cringe watching kids ,grown woman/Men be on some nasty stank ish on the internet when you was getting your face smushed In the hallway …MIRRORING the exact same people you use to HATE !” Safe to say that Cardi’s coming for your ass if you choose to be an ass on the internet.
