Taxstone Receives Yet Another Prison Sentence Over Troy Ave Shooting Case

Taxstone continues to find trouble in his case for the Troy Ave shooting, for which a court convicted him for fatally shooting the rapper’s bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter. A New York court had already sentenced him to 35 years in prison last year for state charges involving first-degree manslaughter, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. For those unaware, the whole situation occurred in NYC’s Irving Plaza back in 2016. Multiple injuries resulted from this. Now, the media personality, real name Daryl Campbell, faces a new sentence, and this one’s reportedly federal. The news comes from court documents reportedly obtained by AllHipHop.

Per this source, a judge sentenced Taxstone to 115 months in prison (roughly ten years) on Monday (November 4). This is over federal gun charges including being a person with a felony history in possession of a firearm and receiving a gun via in-state commerce. Furthermore, Judge Lorna Schofield ruled that he must serve his new federal sentence in concurrence with his state-related sentence. “Daryl Campbell used a firearm to target his rival, which led to loss of a life and serious injuries to innocent bystanders,” Alvin Bragg, Manhattan’s District Attorney, stated. “Gun violence cannot… address conflict. The toll of guns continues to be staggeringly high and it is horrific that a night out at a concert ended tragically.”

As for Troy Ave, he’s now a free man as of August of this year after a few months in prison for his actions during the shooting. He consistently mocked Taxstone over this whole case and especially over his prison sentence. The rapper even testified against him in court, something that the media personality claimed he filled with lies. “Half the stuff… Troy Ave [said] is a complete lie to protect himself from going to jail,” he alleged.

Meanwhile, Taxstone kept his head high and remarked on social media about how he will choose to look on the brighter side. “Just got 35 years for being victimized and reversing the situation. The beauty in it all is I’m not doing 36. Be safe tho,” he wrote.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawyer Responds To Tory Lanez’s Missing Gun Claims

Major updates regarding the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion shooting case continue to file in. According to Meghann Cuniff (via AllHipHop), the Houston rapper’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, has come forward to shoot down previous claims made by Lanez and his legal team. The latter had stated that the gun that was used to injure Megan went missing and therefore not able to run through DNA tests. That court filing was sent in earlier this month. “As the firearm is unavailable, this further testing is impossible. By failing to preserve the material and exculpatory evidence, the People have infringed on the Petitioner’s right under the First and Fourteenth Amendments to seek redress of Petitioner’s grievances through the judicial process.”

Lanez’s team continued to argue, “The Petitioner is entitled to challenge the legality of his confinement under the Fourteenth Amendment due process clause because of the People’s failure to preserve and present exculpatory evidence at trial and make available to the Petitioner post-trial.” Spiro spoke directly with Cuniff to disprove these claims, saying that the weapon was “there and available” at the Los Angeles Police Department.

If you remember, prior to these claims from Lanez and his team, he initially wanted to do DNA tests. They thought this would prove his innocence and place the blame at the feet of someone else. That someone else was a former friend of Megan’s, Kelsey Harris. Tory’s appeal for writ of habeas corpus is currently under consideration. The California Attorney General’s Office needing to make a decision on the petition by November 20.

NBA YoungBoy Hit With Yet Another Gun Charge After Guilty Plea

NBA YoungBoy is facing another federal gun charge after authorities filed a new charge of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon against him. According to court documents obtained by WAFB, prosecutors made the claim in the United States District Court for the District of Utah on Monday. The update stems from his arrest in April when police say he illegally possessed a Sig Sauer P365 9mm semi-automatic pistol.

YoungBoy has been banned from possessing firearms and ammunition since 2016. At the time, he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a firearm. He had been involved in a shooting in South Baton Rouge. After his 2020 arrest in Louisiana, YoungBoy was initially allowed to stay on house arrest in Utah.

His change of plea hearing is scheduled for September 4.

Prior to his arrest in April, he dropped the track, “Tears Of War.” It served as the final song he recorded before federal agents raided his property and took him into custody. YoungBoy’s next court date in general is set for August 29 in Weber County. Be on the lookout for further updates on NBA YoungBoy on HotNewHipHop.

HoneyKomb Brazy Accepts Plea Deal In Federal Gun Case

In December of 2023, HoneyKomb Brazy and two associates were pulled over by police in Alabama, and soon after charged with possession of a firearm. Reportedly, upon searching the vehicle, officers found a Girson MC28 SA 9mm pistol and a Smith and Wesson MP 15 AR pistol. One of the rapper’s associates, bodyguard Miguel Hall, pleaded guilty to the federal gun charge in May of this year. At the time, Brazy appeared ready to go to trial to fight the case.

Now, according to new legal documents obtained by XXL, HoneyKomb Brazy has pleaded guilty as well. Reportedly, this is part of a plea deal that also saw both the defense and prosecutors recommend a sentence of between two-and-a-half and three-and-a-half years behind bars. He’s scheduled to appear in court on October 25, where Judge Kristi DuBose will hand him his sentence.

HoneyKomb Brazy Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge

As for Hall, he’s scheduled to learn his fate in September. He could be facing up to 15 years in prison. Reportedly, he was previously prohibited from owning a firearm due to a past protection from abuse order. Aside from a hefty prison sentence, Hall could also be looking at a $250K fine and three years of supervised release. Per his plea deal, the prosecution will not bring any additional charges against him and will recommend a shorter sentence.

The news comes after it was revealed last January that authorities had been monitoring Brazy on social media. This was due to the fact that he was a “subject of multiple investigations for years.” Reportedly, Special Agent Evan Fisher found out where Brazy was the night of his arrest based on his posts, though he didn’t specify why he was a person of interest. Boosie Badazz Addresses Snitching Accusations After Gun Case Dismissal

As expected, the Louisiana-born rapper got emotional while sharing the news with fans on Instagram, thanking god and sharing his hopes for the future. This led to speculation that Boosie might have “snitched” on someone else in order to walk free. According to him, there wasn’t anyone he could have snitched on, as nobody else was facing charges. “Four people got caught, I’m the only one that got charged,” he explained, laughing. “Who the f*ck imma tell on? That sh*t cr*zy.”

NBA YoungBoy’s New Mugshot Surfaces Online Following His Latest Arrest

NBA YoungBoy has had his fair share of legal issues in the past, and unfortunately, they don’t show signs of slowing down anytime soon. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the rapper was arrested at his Utah home, which he’s dubbed Gravedigger Mountain. He’s been on house arrest there, awaiting trial for a federal gun charge, for two years.

YB was booked for “patterns of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon.” He was taken into custody yesterday (April 16) following a search of his property. It remains unclear exactly what he’s accused of. Either way, the arrest could certainly threaten his ability to await trial at home.

NBA YoungBoy Looks Unbothered

Amid all of the chatter and questions remaining about YB’s legal drama, his latest mugshot has surfaced online. In the photo, the 24-year-old looks relatively unbothered, though it’s hard to tell by the low-quality image. Regardless, he’s got a lot to worry about these days, particularly if he’s found guilty of what he’s being accused of. This isn’t the first time his house arrest privileges were threatened either. At the end of February, prosecutors filed a request to address his allegedly “non-compliant behavior,” accusing him of doing drugs despite strict orders not to. It’s not been revealed exactly which substances YB was accused of using, however, he allegedly told supervising officers he had “no intentions” of stopping.

According to reports, NBA YoungBoy is currently being held without bond. This means that he’ll remain behind bars, at least for the time being. What do you think of NBA YoungBoy’s latest arrest? Do you think he’ll be able to find a way out of jail? What about his mugshot surfacing online? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Lil Zay Osama Arrested For Gun Possession & Robbery: Report

According to new reports, Lil Zay Osama has been arrested for gun possession and robbery. Unfortunately for him, this is the latest in a series of arrests for similar charges, ones that have plagued his life and career for a long time. It’s important to note that much of this is due to the systemic conditions and circumstances that he faced while growing up in Chicago. Nevertheless, the specific charges include theft of over $10,000 in stolen goods, although the arrest report indicates that it doesn’t reach the $100,000 mark. In addition, this document details the specific firearm charges that he faces.

Furthermore, authorities took custody of Lil Zay Osama for possessing a loaded machine gun on his person and in the passenger compartment of his vehicle. Not only that, but the report also suggests that he modified the gun in some way that left a defaced serial number. It’s unclear what the “Ain’t On S**t” rapper’s status or condition is, as well as whether he’d be able to bond or bail out. Surely within the coming days and weeks, we should get new updates on this case and what other implications it could yield for him.

Lil Zay Osama Arrested

Back in October of last year, Lil Zay Osama spoke on another arrest he faced and the circumstances behind his escape of it. “I’m On A 1Million Dollar Bail Rn,” he wrote on Instagram. “Ima Beat This Up Like Rocky Thanks to my lawyer @dawnmflorio [heart emoji] We Locked In 5L. It’s cr*zy i thought people would say free me hoping i do better and wish the best. Yall really in the comments and on blogs saying 20 and 30 plus ima get and yall hope i get time im dum and etc. Don’t believe everything u hear i been out here i know how to move dont believe everything u hear.”

Meanwhile, these issues even prompted the 26-year-old to call for help from other famous rap figures. Perhaps he will do the same this time around and expose his situation publicly in more elaborate ways. Hopefully this is the last arrest, and one that marks the end of his legal troubles.
