Today Forbes shared their annual celebrity billionaires list. This year’s edition highlighted 14 stars whose net worth has crossed the billion threshold and ranked them in order of the volume of their wealth. The biggest story of the list was its very first entry, Taylor Swift. The pop star has now barely crossed the billion threshold, but is the first to ever do it entirely through songwriting and performing. She arrives on the list on the back of her massively successful Eras Tour last year.

Elsewhere on the list, all kinds of stars are represented. Filmmakers are well represented with Tyler Perry and Peter Jackson cracking the top 10. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg take up the top two spots on the list. The sports world is also present with Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, LeBron James, and Magic Johnson. Beyond Swift, two more musicians appear on the list and neither are a surprise. Rihanna turns up at number 9 on the list with a net worth of 1.4 billion. Her spot on the list is propelled by brands like Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty. Jay-Z turns up at number 5 on the list with an impressive net worth of 2.5 billion. Jay-Z has been characteristically silent recently. But he was recently brought into the launch of ScHoolboy Q’s new album Blue Lips. That’s because ! got to play him the record before it was released. Some of his Top Dawg contemporaries like Isaiah Rashad and SZA slid into the comments of a post about it with jokes about the situation.

Jay-Z has also become one of Azealia Banks’ targets. She’s taken shots at both him and Beyonce repeatedly throughout the Cowboy Carter rollout. During a recent interview with Forbes, the hitmaker chatted about how she keeps herself grounded amid her success and constantly strives to become a better version of herself. She revealed that aside from keeping people around who hold her accountable, she always pushes herself to improve.

“I have great intentions,” she began. “And I know that at the end of the day, if I just pushed myself to focus on becoming a better me whether it’s in my tone, my delivery, my attitude, my routine of waking up in the morning, waking up earlier, going to church every Sunday, writing in my journal, that’s how I got to this place now.“

“I’m blessed to also have such amazing people in my life to keep me levelheaded,” she also added. “So I’ll call them and be like ‘yo’ and if I’m in a place where I say something or do something, they’ll check me. They’ll check me in a way where they’ll be ‘you should have approached it in this way, you could have handled it like this’ and you know what, you’re right.” Fortunately, this approach also allows Coi to remain cool, calm, and collected even in the face of adversity. Last week, for example, she weighed in on the newly passed TikTok ban bill and didn’t seem concerned at all.

“TikTok is not a streaming platform,” she told Twitter/X followers. “And I never looked at it as one. I’m not worried. As long as you don’t take away Apple Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, Tidal, [Audiomack], YouTube Music, Amazon Music, I’m good. Yo Gotti was Forbes‘ latest cover issue subject on Friday (February 23), and the outlet revealed that he is reportedly worth a staggering $100 million. Moreover, this is due to his highly successful record label, CMG, a minority stake in the D.C. United team in the MLS, and his Memphis restaurant Prive. “If I never wrote another rap again, I’m financially straight,” the Tennessee rapper and business mogul shared. “My whole career, I was setting up for that.” Elsewhere during the interview, he also indicated that he has no plans of slowing down or pumping the brakes on any of his lucrative endeavors.

“It’s in the process,” Yo Gotti remarked about his massive success. “I’m planting the seeds. A lot of people don’t have patience. They want it all tomorrow. So they can’t execute a real plan… What I do know, we’re coming out on top.” “I may want to buy a company or acquire another company,” he said of his decision to study business at UCLA. “So I’m making sure I’m super tight and understand the language and the verbiage myself.”

Sadly for the Memphis MC, it must have been very hard to focus on his career, success, and blessings in the recent past. His brother Big Jook tragically lost his life in their home city, which shook the community to its core and from which his loved ones and close associates are still recovering from. While Yo Gotti already made some public appearances since this incident, he’s yet to fully unpack this with all the sets of eyes and ears on him and his career. That is something that should come at his own pace, and not feel rushed or pressured to get back in front of microphones.

Meanwhile, over this past holiday season, the 42-year-old was able to share his wealth and lavish lifestyle with his family and friends. Forbes dropped their annual 30 Under 30 Lists this week, honoring some big names that are making a significant impact in their respective fields. For musicians, Ice Spice, Trippie Redd, Steve Lacy, and Latto were included among the recipients.

Others on this year’s class list were all three members of Boygenius (Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus), Gracie Abrams, Dominic Fike, Peso Pluma, Reneé Rapp, and Kali Uchis.

Ice Spice didn’t come as a surprise, considering how she took over the music scene this year. She dropped her Princess Diana EP, after getting a boost through hits like the title track, “Bikini Bottom,” and more. She appeared on the soundtrack of the Barbie movie alongside Nicki Minaj. She also collaborated with PinkPantheress, Taylor Swift, and more.

Lacy was previously honored this year on the Time Most Influential People of 2023 list. He continued performing his hit “Bad Habit,” including at the Grammys this year, and dropped a new video for his song, “Helmet.”

And Rapp has remained incredibly busy, dropping her debut album, Snow Angel, and securing the lead role in the forthcoming Mean Girls reboot movie.

Druski recently took aim at Drake amid the drop of his new album For All The Dogs, trolling the performer by accusing him of taking his song. The comedian shared a clip on Instagram, sitting in a chair while his associate plays Drake’s “Daylight.” Druski then demands he play his own track, which he says sounds a bit too close for comfort.

The clip prompted a response from Birdman, who told him, “Bro you still playin with a real gangsta SMH.” Drake also chimed in with a warning. “Stunna bout to have you come up missing on Gladys,” he added. It’s not the first time the three of them joked about having beef for Druski’s Coulda Been Records skits, but nonetheless, it got some attention.

Druski recently stopped by the Forbes Under 30 summit in Cleveland, OH to speak about his career. He sat down for a chat with the outlet when they brought up his drama with Birdman, asking whether it’s fake or not. “Y’all just gotta keep watching,” he explained. “I gotta peak behind my back.” He continued, calling it an example of when “your idols turn to rivals.” Druski stopped there, insisting that it just wasn’t safe for him to say much else. “I ain’t saying too much that’s all I’m gonna say,” he finished.

Obviously, the back and forth was all in good fun, and their friendship is still very much intact. Recently, the comedian even stopped by Drake’s It’s All A Blur tour stop in LA to show his support. Dwarfing $93.9 million that he made in as a player.

Money moves for Jordan beyond the Hornets, is ownership and cofounding the Cup Series 23XI Racing team with Joe Gibbs Racing and Denny Hamlin in Nascar.

“I would say my business endeavors are the most profitable,” Jeezy said on the show. “I have a Steakhouse, a spirits company, I’ve built and solid spirits, I don’t know if you know about Avión tequila. Shoutout to my partner Ken Austin. We basically built it up, sold it to Pernod Ricard, which is probably one of the biggest deals of the year on the low.”

Beyoncé’s “RENAISSANCE” Tour Could Earn Over $2 Billion From Ticket Sales Alone

Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE tour has yet to begin, but already, Forbes is reporting that the mother of three could bring in some serious cash after her time on the road. On Monday (May 8), the publication revealed that Queen B is expecting to clear as much as $2.1 billion from her trip around the world. This means she would outsell Taylor Swift’s Eras tour by approximately $500 million. The country-turned-popstar will likely take home $1.6 billion from her latest venture.

The estimated numbers are optimistic in favour of both singers. The outlet says that they’re based on the number of tickets sold so far, as well as the average price of nearly $700 per seat. In addition, Forbes has considered that both Beyoncé and Swift would be taking home a considerable share of merchandise proceeds while paying tour expenses that would be equal to roughly 20% of their revenue.

The “I’m That Girl” hitmaker’s highest potential estimate is notably well above the $1.9B box office projection that’s been placed on the Eras tour. Aside from her pricey tickets, the Houston native also offered VIP packages to fans with serious cash to spare, ranging in price from $3750 to $5000.

As DailyMail points out, the last time The Lion King actress hit the road was in 2016 as a solo act. In 2018, she and her husband Jay-Z headed out to support their The Carters joint effort, much to the pleasure of their fans. The only performance Beyoncé has given so far in 2023 took place in Dubai, where her beautiful vocals helped to commemorate the opening of a new hotel in the luxurious country.
