Jimmy Buffett Is Stacking Bills In Margaritaville As He Makes The ‘Forbes’ Billionaires List Alongside Jay-Z And Rihanna

Forbes dropped their several lists about billionaires for 2023, including one of the richest and another of some new faces who brought in fortunes this year.

Jay-Z is now officially the richest rapper in the world, as XXL notes. Hov boosted his earnings from $1.5 to $2.5 billion now. Not only does he own Roc Nation, but he also has found success through his liquor businesses, selling his stake in D’Usse to Bacardi just this February.

Rihanna is another notable musician on this year’s list as her net worth is currently $1.4 billion. She played a successful Super Bowl halftime show this year and runs a massive Fenty Beauty makeup brand.

For Forbes‘ list of new billionaires in 2023, the island king himself, Jimmy Buffett, joined the ranks. Buffett’s string of successful Margaritaville locations around the world are clearly working on bringing in the dough. Just about two years ago, he also opened a location in Times Square, which features a restaurant that is open to the public. (There’s also a non-crowded pool that’s fun for summer lounging, but they might have cracked down to it just being for guests.)

In total, about 150 new names were added to Forbes‘ list, with other non-musicians being LeBron James, Tom Ford, Tiger Woods, and more.

Jay-Z Is The Only Rapper On Forbes World Billionaires List:

Jay-Z accomplished what most didn’t think was possible in his career. The Brooklyn-born rapper emerged as hip-hop’s first billionaire in 2019 and his net worth continues to grow. Between his efforts in the alcohol and cannabis sectors and Roc Nation’s success, among other business ventures, Jay-Z’s entrepreneurial spirit helped him turn into one of hip-hop’s wealthiest figures and we can’t help but celebrate his achievements.

Now that Forbes 2023 World’s Billionaires List arrived, Jay-Z reached another milestone in his career. Hov stands as the only rapper on the list with a net worth of $2.5B – a massive increase from $1.5B last fall. Much of the fortune Jay-Z amassed derives from his liquor businesses, including the 50% stake in Ace Of Spades sold to LVMH and the sale of D’usse to Bacardi two months ago. Meanwhile, his assets also include his music catalog, a wide collection of rare art pieces, and shares in multiple companies, such as Uber.

Did Jay-Z’s Protegés Make The List?

With a net worth of $2.5 billion, Jay-Z ranks higher on Forbes List than some of the world’s most notable billionaires. Net-wise, Hov holds a higher ranking than Oprah Winfrey ($2.5B), Donald Trump ($2.5B), Tom Ford ($2.4B), and Michael Jordan ($2B). It’s a testament to Jay-Z’s hustle and drive, especially when each of these individuals were, at one point, a benchmark of success for the Blueprint artist.

While Ye also reached billionaire status in the past, it was a title that he was ultimately stripped of once Adidas cut ties with him. That said, he did not make the Forbes World Billionaire’s list this year following his anti-Semitic press run in the latter half of 2022. Still, Kim Kardashian kept her billionaire status with a net worth of $1.2B. However, Rihanna, Jay-Z’s other protegée, still holds rank among the World’s Billionaires with a net worth of $1.4B, a decline from $1.7B last year. The main source of Rih’s wealth comes from the Fenty line and her collaborative partnership with Puma. Either way, congratulations to Jay-Z for his continued success and for paving the way for others in hip-hop to follow his lead.

Blac Chyna Sets Record Straight On OnlyFans Earnings

Rumors swirled around Blac Chyna’s OnlyFans earnings for a while now, something that she recently addressed. During a new interview with Forbes, the socialite spoke on the timeline of her earnings, recently shutting it down, and how she got into the platform. Moreover, while many have their skeptical views in the comments, it was quite the measured and calm conversation about her money. After all, she’s on a bit of a healing journey right now, working to mend some mistakes she felt she made in the past. With that in mind, it’s hard not to imagine these statements coming from a clear mindset.

“You also deactivated your OnlyFans account,” the interviewer began. “And I hear that was the source of a lot of your money and I want to just clear this up right now. Because there is a $239 million discrepancy right now going on,” which Chyna said she’s seen. “You have,” the interviewer replied. “So April 2022, you said you made one million dollars from it in 2021. But now I’m seeing reports that are saying $240 million. What’s the actual number?”

Blac Chyna Clears Up OnlyFans Earnings Rumors

“The actual number was close to $2 million,” the reality TV star stated. “Within a two-year span. So I opened it in 2020, so right when the pandemic had hit. I had opened it because I was like ‘Oh my gosh, what’s about to happen?’ I had just recently did a TV show called ‘Only Cams’ where I produced it and filmed on it just a little bit. So it kind of gave me the leeway to kind of doing it, because it was something that I didn’t want to do at first.”

On The Jason Lee Show, she addressed why she decided to close her account. “I’m just changing everything about me,” the 34-year-old remarked. “All that stuff is a dead end and I know that I’m way — I’m worth way more than that. I feel like I have bigger fish to fry, and at the time, I had so many things in lawsuits. It’s like, ‘wow,’ but yeah, I’m good. Shout out to the people that do still have their OnlyFans and stuff like that. Get your money, don’t let the money make you.” Also, she mentioned that her children growing up played a huge factor. Regardless of your take, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Blac Chyna.

‘Forbes’ Names Rihanna, Taylor Swift, And Beyoncé The Most Powerful Women In Music For 2022

From the hijab protest in Iran to the overturning of Roe v. Wade here in the United States, this year has been a challenging year for so many minority groups around the world but especially women. Serving as a beacon of hope, Forbes‘ annual The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list could not have come at a better time.

In the number-one slot is European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen. As this year was a widely political year, that comes as no surprise, however, the list starts to get interesting once musicians are introduced. This year’s highest-ranked musician is “Lift Me Up” singer Rihanna at number 73.

Before making her musical return by way of the Wakanda Forever Soundtrack, the entrepreneur kept herself busy with her company Savage X Fenty’s line expansion and annual fashion show. This year also marked a few firsts for her. Rihanna celebrated her first National Heroes Day as an honoree in her home country of Barbados, in addition to becoming a first-time mother. Now, Rihanna is planning her true return to music space in the biggest way possible, with a performance at the Superbowl Halftime show.

The second highest-ranked musician was Taylor Swift in the number 79 spot. The “Anti-Hero” singer flexed her impact with an impressive run on Billboard‘s Hot 100 charts and a site-crashing tour general ticket sale.

“Break My Soul” singer Beyoncé is the last musician to make the cut coming in at number 80. With a monumental return to music, Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, Renaissance, broke a plethora of records at the upcoming Grammy Awards. Although Beyoncé is currently tied with her husband, Jay-Z, as the most-nominated artist of all time, she only needs four wins to become the highest-awarded artist by the Recording Academy of all time.

Other media and entertainment professionals that made the list include Oprah Winfrey, at number 24, the chairwoman of Disney General Entertainment Content, Dana Walden, at number 41, the Head of Amazon Studios, Jennifer Salke, at number 58, chairwoman of Universal Pictures Donna Langley at number 61, FOX News CEO Suzanne Scott at number 65, actress Reese Witherspoon at number 86, television producer Shonda Rhimes at number 93, and Nigerian media mogul Mo Abudu at number 99.
