Nicki Minaj Blasts A Twitter User Who Claimed She Was Too Grown To Be Partying With Fivio Foreign

At the end of last week, Nicki Minaj dropped off her third record of the year with “We Goin Up” alongside Fivio Foreign. The record is one she previously previewed on Instagram Live while noting that it would not appear on her long-awaited fifth album. Despite this, Nicki still celebrated the song’s release and she joined Fivio and others to party the night away. While the night may have gone well, one person had a comment about Nicki’s outing and it eventually earned a response from Nicki herself.

In response to a video of Nicki at the party with Fivio and others, the Twitter user wrote, “I wish she’d move on from this lifestyle this isn’t you anymore Nicki.” She eventually caught wind of the comment and did not hold back on a response. “Tell me you don’t know anything about Nicki Minaj w/o telling me,” Nicki wrote. “Ppl rlly create their own perception of you then tell you not to be you. Girl eat sh*t. Thank you.” She added, “Out of all the 3 wishes a b*tch get a b*tch using 1 wish to tell me not to be who I’ve ALWAYS [f*cking] been.”

Nicki continued, “My whole AUTHENTIC come up is fully documented for the world to see. YouTube is free I think still. Y’all want me 2b some rich RNB singer/pop star so bad. (well not the smart ppl) they know my story. 1 thing u can never change is ur story. I can&will only be me. Take it or [leave].” Another person questions the first user’s intention between their tweets and Nicki wrote, “Other races can do it tho,” while adding in another tweet, “Ppl rlly make up an imaginary ‘you’ in their head. Sh*t wild.”

To conclude her message, Nicki wrote, “Can y’all please let me enjoy the moment? Please?”

Nicki Minaj And Fivio Foreign’s Chemistry Crackles On The Brash ‘We Go Up’

Nicki Minaj has been more active lately than she has been in a while. After mostly disappearing in the disappointing wake of her 2018 album, Queen, she made sporadic appearances on breakout tracks like Doja Cat’s “Say So” and Tekashi 69’s “Trollz,” but this year, she’s been even more productive, collaborating with Lil Baby on “Do We Have A Problem?” and “Bussin,” as well as Coi Leray on “Blick Blick.” Today, she continued that trend with the release of a new song featuring emerging New York rapper Fivio Foreign, “We Go Up.”

In this instance, Nicki dips into Fivio’s production pool, utilizing a drill beat that highlights a choppy flow from the Queens rapper laden with punchlines dissing an unnamed rival and celebrating her success. There’s nary a mention of bitches being her sons, either — always a plus, because it means Nicki is trying and when that happens she always delivers. Fivey’s verse is also pretty solid, which will certainly help fuel anticipation for his upcoming debut album, B.I.B.L.E. The chemistry here is immaculate; sticking together two New Yorkers, their collaboration crackles with the Big Apple’s natural flair and brash energy.

Nicki’s recent spate of single releases has also fueled speculation that she intends to drop an album soon, but thus far, she has yet to make any announcements to that end. If she does, though, her recent releases are a promising sign of a return to form, which bodes well as the Queen re-enters a rap arena where she’s no longer the only go-to option for the feminine perspective in hip-hop.

Kanye West Has Reportedly Added A New Song Featuring Fivio Foreign To ‘Donda 2’

Apparently, Kanye West is keeping his promise to continue updating his new album Donda 2 for those fans who purchased it via his Stem Player. This past weekend reportedly brought the latest album update, a new song called “We Did It Kid” featuring Fivio Foreign, who is quickly becoming one of Kanye’s go-to collaborators after the Brooklyn rapper appeared on “Off The Grid” from the original Donda. Since then, they also released “City Of Gods,” which is expected to appear on Fivio’s recently delayed debut album B.I.B.L.E.

Kanye’s Stem Player release strategy has been controversial, receiving criticism from Corey Taylor of the metal band Slipknot and even prompting some fans to simply create a software emulator of the device to avoid its $200 price tag. The Stem Player is a small, circular, touch-sensitive disc that allows fans to adjust the volume on one of four audio tracks, which the accompanying app creates from the original song. This allows listeners to remix tracks on the fly and save their mixes, but there were plenty of fans who felt this functionality wasn’t enough to justify a purchase.

The strategy has also affected Kanye’s standing on Billboard; the magazine has refused to count sales of the Stem Player as album-equivalent units. Kanye celebrated this as a victory but failed to demonstrate how it benefits him other than giving him more ammo for his persecution complex.
