Rican Da Menace Taps Chrisean Rock To Join Her For “Uh Ohhh” Music Video

GloRilla’s new “Internet Trolls” single already got plenty of love on our Fire Emoji playlist. Still, we wanted to keep the female rap artist love going with more fire releases. Thankfully, Rican Da Menace also shared her new single, “Uh Ohhh” yesterday (February 3), along with an accompanying music video. While fans were most excited to hear from the artist herself, she also tapped Chrisean Rock to join her for the visual.

The quick and catchy song follows recent arrivals from the Baltimore baddie such as “I Admit It” and “Ain’t Going Back.” With each and every drop, her confidence and lyricism undeniably continue to grow to new heights. On this latest release, Rican stands out thanks to her catchy bars and unique lyrical flow as she talks her shit.

The 21-year-old worked with VideoGod for her visual. Throughout various clips, she’s plays dice with friends, hits up the local mall, and later visits a nightclub. During the latter is when we see the Crazy In Love star‘s cameo. It’s certainly not the first music video she’s appeared in as of late.

Before rising to mainstream fame, Rican made a name for herself via social media while growing up in Maryland. She’s often praised for her unapologetic realness and is known to tease her followers and build anticipation with snippets of unreleased music. According to a press release, fans of the vivacious recording artist should be on the lookout for more exciting things coming their way soon.

Beyoncé Surprises Fans With “CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)”

Before the arrival of RENAISSANCE last year, the Beyhive was starving for more content from Beyoncé. Following the project’s historic debut, the mother of three has been working harder than ever to keep her fans fed.

She began with an incredible return to the stage for the first time in years in Dubai. A roster of star-studded celebrities flew out to the UAE to witness the spectacle firsthand. At the same time, the rest of the world has been left to tirelessly rewatch the handful of sneakily captured videos circulating on Twitter from the show.

Beyoncé is still hearing adoring social media users sing her praise for the concert. In the time since her big resurgence, the announcement for her upcoming RENAISSANCE tour is now making headlines. Meanwhile, the world is desperately fighting to get their hands on coveted tickets.

Of course, only a select number of lucky shoppers will take home passes to the performances. To cheer up anyone who may have missed out, the “Baby Boy” hitmaker shared a remix of a RENAISSANCE fan favourite this weekend.

“CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)” landed on Beyoncé’s website on Friday (February 3), and is already receiving endless praise for its creativity. The song takes the vocalist’s singing from the album, then layers it over the instrumental of Twista’s “Wetter” from 2009.

The lyrics have been slightly altered as well. Now, the Houston native sings, “I can see the love in your eyes / Boy I know you wanna squeeze it, don’t lie / Double tap when I walk by, f*ck a reply,” on the bridge, obviously boosting the track’s already sultry energy.

At this time, Beyoncé’s “CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)” is available exclusively on the singer’s website. Purchase a digital download for yourself here, and revisit the song’s original cut above.

Ice Spice Joins PinkPantheress For “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” Collaboration: Listen

It’s still relatively early in her career, but Ice Spice continues to achieve milestone after milestone. Not only did the New York native share her highly anticipated Like..? EP last month, but now she’s also got a collaboration with PinkPantheress under her belt as well.

On Friday (February 3), the “Bikini Bottom” hitmaker joined the ethereal songstress on “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2.” The single is a remix of a prior release. It previously appeared on PP’s Take Me Home EP in late 2022.

“When it comes to collaborations, I’m quite picky. I always want someone who can match me well on a track,” the English multi-talent told NME of her new arrival with Spice.

“Even though Ice does drill, her flows are super unique and the beats she chooses are different. A lot of people would struggle with the beats I choose, but I knew she’d be good for it,” Pantheress later added.

For her part, the rapidly rising redheaded starlet comes in strong with clever bars during her verse. “And it been what it been / Callin’ his phone like, ‘Yo, send me your PIN,’” she spits in the track’s later half.

“Duckin’ my shit, ’cause he know what I’m on / But when he hit me I’m not gon’ respond,” Spice teases.

Along with the upbeat new joint song comes an accompanying music video. Throughout the footage, Spice takes Panthress on a tour of her home state.

Of course, the duo is surrounded by their “baddie friends” throughout their adventures. To boot, all of them are stylishly dressed for the occasion.

Muni Long Unleashes Spanish Version Of “Hrs & Hrs” Alongside “Superstar” Song: Stream

Over a year since the arrival of her smash hit single, “Hrs & Hrs,” Muni Long continues to find new ways to reimagine the same track. At the end of January, the singer-songwriter shared the Spanish version. It’s titled “Horas y Horas,” and recently landed alongside a new track exclusively on Spotify.

As Vibe reports, The Avila Brothers reimagined the production, which finds the vocalist asking “¿Pero te puedo cantar…en español?” or, “But can I sing to you… in Spanish?” as the sultry music begins.

Later on she continues with lyrics like, “Lo tuyo, es mío, ahora / Puedo hacer esto por horas,” and “Sentar y hablarte aquí por horas / Regalarte unas rosas.”

The new take of “Hrs & Hrs” finally arrived alongside “Superstar” a few days ago. The latter finds Long once again sharing her beautiful voice – this time in English.

“Don’t you remember you told me you love me baby? / You said you’ll be coming back this way again, baby,” she floats over the chorus. “I love you / I really do.”

Thus far, both tracks have received a primarily positive audience reaction. Seeing listeners gush over the Spanish version isn’t entirely surprising, seeing as the original single was nominated for both Best R&B Song and Performance at the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards.

Additionally, Long also earned a nod for Best New Artist alongside names like Latto, Tobe Nwigwe, and Måneskin, just to name a few.

While she’s best known by her stage name, Muni’s real name is Pricilla Renea. Speaking with Billboard, she explained how she finds the difference between those two identities.

“I think I was so unaware as Priscilla, I was just doing stuff. As Muni Long, I’m aware, I’m intentional. I took two years off between my last project that I put out as Priscilla to when I started my label [Supergiant] from 2018 to 2020,” she recalled.

“As Muni, I really put on about 15 different hats and I compartmentalize. And I just chipped away at the tree and started building this world totally different, like night and day. It literally was like a reset.”

Delishia J Wants To “Put You On” Her Fire New Single

In past years, the month of January has been relatively quiet in terms of new music releases. In 2023, however, many are choosing to shake things up by releasing incredible singles, EPs, and albums to motivate their competitors for the coming months. Among the early arrivals is a track from Dallas’ Delishia J – “Put You On.”

It made its debut on Friday (January 27), ahead of her highly anticipated Monday Morning EP later this winter. In the lead single, our vocalist markedly paints a sonic picture of the ups and downs of love in various capacities.

In a press release, Delishia specifically cites Kehlani’s Cloud 19 mixtape as one of her biggest inspirations. “Learning that she had written her own songs inspired me to step away from track and pursue music. Fast forward 6 years later and I’m finally releasing my first tap,” she excitedly explains.

Her upcoming EP has an official release date of February 17th. Its primary topic is reflection, the creator says. “Imagine it’s Monday and you’re coming off of a long romantic weekend and you’re reflecting on love and all its sensual moments,” she specifically set the scene.

Speaking on her lead single, “Put You On,” Delishia also notes, “If I put you on to my soul and we take it there you don have to worry about me doing that with anyone else.”

The beat boasts production by Ralph Tiller, who was previously working on Muni Long’s popular “Hrs & Hrs” debut.

Chlöe’s New Single Sets The Tone For Our Weekly “R&B Season” Update: Stream

Last Sunday, our R&B Season update brought five new female-first titles to you for consideration. Today (January 29), we’re back with four more songs for you to stream, kicking off with Chlöe’s “Pray It Away.”

The Atlanta songstress shared the long-awaited news of her debut solo album last week. Currently, it’s due to drop in March. Throughout 2022, she teased her fans plenty with releases like “Surprise” and “Treat Me.”

On her final drop of last year, “For The Night,” Chlöe admitted to using her brief fling with Gunna as inspiration for her music. From the sounds of things, her latest R&B arrival may also be the result of a broken heart.

Following the fashionista is Lil Yachty, who shared his Let’s Start Here. record on Friday (January 27). A far reach from his usual SoundCloud rap style, the new album finds the “Broccoli” hitmaker experimenting like never before.

Of the 14 songs included on the tracklist, we’ve selected “drive ME crazy!” as our top pick.

“Good, love feels like butterflies suffocating your insides / Oh, it’s a late night, you know I try,” Yachty lyricizes on the song’s second verse.

Next comes our only R&B collaborative effort his weekend, from Vandell Andrew and The Colleagues. They linked up with Raheem DeVaughn to craft a remix of their “Euphoria” single. Listeners have already been streaming the song heavily.

Finally, our last selection of the week comes from Daniel Caesar, who has one question for listeners – “Do You Like Me?”

The Canadian singer is preparing for his forthcoming album with his first single of the year. Previously, he was joined by BADBADNOTGOOD on “Please Do Not Lean” in the spring of 2022.

Kayla Rae Connects With Grammy-Winning Producer Duo Stargate For New “Blue” Single

The end of the weekend is finally upon us. While that can certainly cause some Sunday Scaries, our roster of new music will quickly help to cure those. Today, we have a new single from Colarado-raised, LA-based R&B starlet, Kayla Rae. On Friday (January 27), “Blue” arrived, complete with production from Grammy-winning duo, Stargate.

Alongside the sultry song comes a Daniel Choi visual that’s “reminiscent of the 90s and early 00s R&B girl groups” that gave the vocalist inspiration in her younger years.

Throughout her lyrics, Rae reflects on the feeling of having the person you love move on and find happiness with another. She obviously captures the emotional highs and lows of breakups beautifully. Additionally, she lyricizes about the empowerment that comes from overcoming pain.

“Baby, I’ve been feeling like my heart is turning ice blue / Like a Colorado winter, it’s been frozen too soon,” she sings, paying homage to the sometimes frigid beauty of her childhood home.

“Like a tinted Maserati underneath the white moon / Like the hunnids in my pocket ‘n’ all the pain I go through.”

“Blue” marks Rae’s first effort of 2023. Her noteworthy releases from the year before include “Prove Sumn” and “Gifted.”

She made her first significant mark back in 2020 with the arrival of her Pressure project. This gave her the opportunity to open for Doja Cat, Tyga, and Ashanti, ahead of the tumultuous COVID-19 lockdown.

Stream Kayla Rae’s debut HNHH single, “Blue,” on Spotify or Apple Music below. Additionally, check back later today for more song recommendations on our R&B Season update.

Ice Spice & Her Baddie Friends Go Hard For The “In Ha Mood” Music Video

There’s no one quite like Ice Spice. Upon dropping her debut EP earlier this month, the Bronx-born lyricist sold 15K units. To some this may not sound like a lot. However, it’s key to remember that the 23-year-old only broke out last summer with her “Munch (Feelin’ U)” single.

Her explosive success is a force to be reckoned with. After breaking the internet with six new tracks last weekend, she proudly announced her starring role in Beyoncé’s latest Ivy Park campaign. Others honoured with a placement in the advertisement include Offset and one of his young sons.

To keep the momentum for Like..? going into this weekend, Spice dropped off the visual for “In Ha Mood” on Saturday (January 28). She was filming in her hometown a few weeks back. The lit energy from the behind-the-scenes clips obviously came through on the main cameras.

Though the video looks seamless, it was actually a last-minute decision after plans fell through to film for another song on the EP.

Lil Tjay was due to join the “Princess Diana” artist on set for their “Gangsta Boo” collaboration. Unfortunately, he and several other men were taken into police custody at a traffic stop due to weapons charges.

In her celebratory Instagram post from earlier today, Spice markedly quoted some of her best bars. “Ice how [you] always stay hot? Oh, they mad ‘cus I keep making bops. Oh, she mad ‘cus I’m takin’ ha spot!?”

Thus far, fellow celebrities like Russ, Reginae Carter, and Light Skin Keisha have all dropped by the comment section to gas her up along with thousands of fans.

Tay Money Hypes Up Her “Donk” On Latest Single

Among our many New Music Friday posts yesterday (January 27), came Flo Milli’s “Conceited” remix. It saw her link up with Lola Brooke and Maiya The Don to bring even more braggadocious energy to the TikTok-favoured original. In that same realm of bad bitch bops chiefly comes a new single from Tay Money, “Donk.”

The quick and cute track is presently stuck in the heads of many upon its debut. In her usual fashion, the Texas-born rap diva markedly drops bars about her curvaceous figure and talking nasty to men.

“Crown got me stupid / Ass keep on moving (booty) / He ask me how I’m doing / I ask him how he gon’ do it (nasty),” she rhymes near the mid-way point of “Donk.”

Along with the new single, Money also dropped an accompanying music video that sees plenty of booties shaking. Elsewhere in the clip, she later munches on a meal from Rudy’s Chicken, her bright red hair matching the teensy-tiny shorts covering her bottom.

On her Instagram page, the 29-year-old gave followers a preview of the salacious video. Trinidad James, Sally Sossa, and Lexy Panterra were all quick to show their support and hype her up.

In 2022, Money previously made her mark with her Girls Gone Duh project featuring Saucy Santana Flo Milli, and more.

The most popular titles to come from that effort are “The Assignment” and “Asthma Pump.” With any luck, we’ll see the recording artist continue to share female-first anthems all through 2023.

Chlöe Previews Debut Album With Angelic “Pray It Away” Single & Visual

It’s been a long time coming, but the rollout for Chloe Bailey’s debut solo album is finally underway. Today (January 27), the project’s first single, “Pray It Away” made its mark across DSPs as the Atlanta songstress reflects on a toxic relationship that only a higher power can help her through.

As Rated R&B notes, Chlöe co-produced the track alongside ThankGod4Cody, ECassshh, Pitt Tha Kid, and Puredandy. Unsurprisingly, her vocals shine bright all through the over two-and-a-half-minute-long song, not to mention in the Madeline Kate Kann-directed visual.

“Can’t talk to my friends ’cause they hate you too / And if the option’s violence, don’t make me choose it,” the obviously scorned lover sings on the pre-chorus. “God knows my heart, I’m wildin’, wildin’ / So close to doin’ somethin’.”

As she hits every note in the accompanying music video, Bailey also expertly performs choreography by Cortland Brown.

Earlier this week, the performer revealed that her first solo album, In Pieces, will arrive sometime this March. Speaking on the work she’s put into the upcoming effort, Chlöe said, “I have been the rawest, the most vulnerable, and the most open I have been in my entire life with this album.”

“I used to believe the way I love so hard without question, was a curse. Only to find out, it’s been my greatest gift all along.”
