Lil Durk Now Faces Life In Prison For New Federal Charges

The case against Lil Durk for alleged murder-for-hire just got some incredibly raised stakes for the Chicago rapper. Moreover, a new federal indictment emerged against him this week, placing him as the main defendant and subjecting him to new charges. These include one count of conspiracy, one count of using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and one count of wielding and using firearms during a violent crime. With these new charges, Smurk could face life in prison if convicted, and so could the other five codefendants listed in this new federal grand jury indictment. He reportedly remains in a Miami cell awaiting transfer to Los Angeles.

Of course, the reactions to Lil Durk’s arrest and this subsequent indictment vary from staunch condemnation to outraged support, and both options got their fair share of pushback online. For example, Adam22 released a rap song titled “Free Durk” in support of his innocence, which elicited mocking and concerned reactions for a few different reasons. First off, it’s a podcaster making a rap song, which never flies over the best with much of hip-hop’s audience, especially someone with the platform that Adam has. Then, there are folks that expressed their discomfort with trivializing this serious matter and not waiting for more evidence, trial development, and deliberation.

Lil Durk Reportedly Faces Life In Prison

Not only could Lil Durk face life in prison if a conviction occurs, but some reports allege he could also face the death penalty. Take that information with a grain of salt, though, as neither the prosecution nor other sources clarified any of this. Other speculative comments, though, paint more of an understandable picture. According to an alleged source who reportedly spoke to TMZ, he plans to plead not guilty in this case.

In addition, the alleged source also reportedly told the outlet that Lil Durk finds himself in “great spirits” while in a Miami prison. Apparently, his number one complaint so far is prison food, but we still have yet to hear any of this from a confirmable source. We’ll see what other legal updates emerge in the coming days and weeks about this alleged murder-for-hire case.

Diddy To Remain In Jail, More Charges Still On The Table

Diddy and his legal team attended Manhattan federal court on Thursday (October 10) for their latest hearing, and it was a big one. Not only did the defense accept the judge’s offer for a May 2025 trial start date, but prosecutors also suggested that they could add more charges to the Bad Boy mogul’s original indictment given their still-ongoing investigation. Both teams agreed to refrain from speaking to the press moving forward, although the judge did not impose a gag order. Also, the prosecution denied defense attorney Marc Agnifilo’s claims that they leaked grand jury information to the press and are engaging in an unfair “takedown of a successful Black man.”

Back to the possible additional charges, though, this lines up with previous reports that a grand jury spoke to a sex worker allegedly linked to Diddy. However, perhaps the biggest update in the case is that the judge did not receive his third bail appeal, so they did not rule on it this time around. This means that Sean Combs will remain behind bars, and it’s unclear when the court will be able to rule on this bond attempt.

Despite all these developments, we imagine that the accusations against the prosecution that they allegedly leaked grand jury information might remain a contentious point in court. The Diddy case has so many civil allegations and federal accusations tied to it that the discourse against both sides is quite vocal. However, it’s impossible to make a full judgement call until we have a verdict from a court of law. As such, folks are still taking stock of pre-trial court developments more than anything else, especially when it comes to the specific charges against him.

Meanwhile, Diddy reportedly received an emotional prison visit recently from his twin daughters and his mother, so his family remains connected to him. With this latest hearing, we don’t know if the court will follow up on these matters and progress the trial forward sooner than we expect. But at least we have some new dates on the calendar to specifically look out for and be attentive to for new updates.

Crip Mac Hit With Lengthy Sentence Over Federal Gun Charges

Outspoken YouTuber and rapper from California, Crip Mac, now knows his official prison sentence. According to a tweet from No Jumper, the 31-year-old is heading behind bars for 33 months and this stems from his September 3, 2023 arrest for “being a person with felony convictions in possession of a firearm”. Originally it was a state charge, but after the court dropped the case, it was moved up to a federal court almost immediately. Crip Mac has been dealing with multiple legal battles throughout his life, with some of them being the same as this one. To be exact July of 2022 and October of 2021 were those instances.

However, he has other arrests on his record that do not relate to gun charges. In November 2017, Mac attempted second-degree armed robbery. Furthermore, he’s got a grand theft charge from August 2015, and transportation of a controlled substance in October of 2014. But to go back to this newest sentence, Mac is kind of a lucky man for this reason.

Crip Mac Was Looking At A Minimum Sentence Of 15 Years Originally

Originally, the online personality was looking at a minimum of 15 years. However, it could have been even worse for Mac. Back in December there was some discussion as to the other factors that could have led to even life in confinement. “The worst case is he gets folded into a larger gang conspiracy and RICO case involving murders. In that case, it’s likely life in prison. It’s possible, depending on the specific facts of his case, he could do 10 years [for just the gun charges]. It depends on various individual factors”.

What are your thoughts on Crip Mac receiving just a 33-month sentence for his federal gun charge from 2023? Are you surprised that it was brought down by 13 years? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Crip Mac. NBA YoungBoy Reportedly Faces 10 Years In Prison For Federal Gun Charge

It’s no secret that NBA YoungBoy has dealt with his fair share of legal issues in recent months. Earlier this year, he was arrested at his Utah home for his role in an alleged prescription drug fraud scheme. At the time, he was already on house arrest, awaiting trial for a federal weapons charge. This charge stems from a 2020 music video shoot in his hometown of Baton Rouge, where police allegedly found him in possession of a 9 mm handgun and a .45-caliber Glock. He’s considered a felon, and barred from possessing guns, due to a 2016 shootout.

Now, according to WAFB, he intends to enter a guilty plea in his federal gun case and have it transferred from Baton Rouge to Utah. Reportedly, YB’s attorney Drew Findling filed the paperwork on his behalf earlier this week. He’s likely requesting the transfer for convenience, as he’s facing various charges in both Cache County and Weber County.

NBA YoungBoy Intends To Enter Guilty Plea

Once the case is transferred to Utah, YB must continue with the guilty plea, per the outlet. If he doesn’t, the case will be moved back to Louisiana. Reportedly, he could potentially face up to 10 years behind bars, as well as fines, and a period of supervised release. Of course, it remains to be seen exactly what happens in YoungBoy’s case, which could end up working out more favorably for the 24-year-old.

News of his expected guilty plea also arrives just days after Chief Judge Shelly Dick agreed to postpone the case. This would allow higher courts to weigh in on it and provide guidance for applying federal gun laws to it. What do you think of NBA YoungBoy reportedly intending to enter a guilty plea in his federal weapons case? What about the rapper potentially facing a 10-year prison sentence for his alleged crimes? Quando Rondo Federal Drug Charges

This is far from the only legal trouble Rondo has dealt with this year. Just last month, a Georgia judge had to weigh whether or not to ban Rondo from his own home town. That spawned from an arrest all the way back in June that saw Rondo facing even more drug charges. Thankfully for him he ultimately wasn’t banned from his hometown, though he was eventually arrested by the FBI while there.

The very next month, Rondo was involved in a high speed car crash. He was arrested after the crash as observations were made that he could be under the influence. He was even administered Narcan after displaying the first symptoms of a potential overdose. A judge ultimately granted him his release, but only under the conditions that he didn’t drive or use drugs while out. Fugees Member Pras Found Guilty In Federal Conspiracy Case

The trial of Fugees MC Pras Michel has been ongoing for months now. It began on Monday, March 27 in Washington D.C. As per an NPR report, Pras is facing charges of conspiracy, witness tampering, and failure to register as an agent of China. In 2018, an investigation was opened into Pras’ dealings. The MC allegedly embezzled millions. Apparently, he used the funds to support Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign. Pras has more legal issues, though. The MC has also been in court for failing to pay child support. However, the federal case against him is far more serious. Pras’ legal problems resulted in the cancellation of the Fugees’ reunion tour in August 2022.

The charges against Pras are a little bit complicated. He allegedly planned to repay $40,000 to participants of an Obama campaign fundraiser using foreign investments for ticket expenses. Additionally, he allegedly threatened those who would think about reporting this scheme to the authorities. Furthermore, he also helped Malaysian billionaire Jho Low through a secret lobbying campaign to persuade U.S. Justices and White House officials to dismiss the fraud charges against him. As of today, it looks like his luck has run out.

Pras has been convicted for participating in the aforementioned international conspiracy plot. It utilized millions of foreign funds to influence American government officials. According to TMZ, Pras is guilty on all 10 charges. He can be sentenced to up to 20 years in jail. His lawyer, David Kenner, expressed dissatisfaction with the jury’s verdict. Of course, he promised to challenge the decision.

In 2019, Pras was accused of violating campaign laws. At the time, authorities presented a plea deal. It would have cleared all charges and returned some of the $74 million seized from his bank accounts. However, he declined the offer, confident in his innocence. Instead, he chose to face trial, which resulted in the inclusion of eight additional charges. Now, he has been found guilty of all of them. What do you think of the outcome of Pras’ trial? Let us know in the comments!
