Yung Miami Continues Back & Forth With Fans Over “BMF” Performance

Yung Miami continued going back and forth with fans online over her performance on the latest episode of 50 Cent‘s BMF show. For the episode, Miami played the role of Deanna Washington. In one viral moment, her character learns about the death of her husband from Big Meech. Yung Miami’s fake crying in the scene was the subject of many jokes online afterward.

When one fan shared a TikTok referencing the show, Miami wrote back “Man I’m cryinh.” Earlier in the night, she vented: “If I’m crying why y’all laughing??? Y’all play to much.” While there were plenty of jokes made about her appearance, other fans praised the performance. “I love to see [people] win in life, elevate, and give their family the [world]!” one fan wrote in a sweet message. In response, the City Girls rapper said: “The more they hate, the more opportunities come!! It’s only the beginning for me!”

Miami isn’t the first rapper to land a role on BMF. Kash Doll also recently played Monique, a single mother who works as a paralegal and serves as a love interest of Big Meech. “It’s a full circle moment man. I came up hearing about BMF when I was younger and just seeing how big their movement was. Being a part of this story on Starz with 50 Cent, man,  it just feels amazing. It’s something I can’t explain. I’m just grateful for that opportunity,” she told HipHopDX.

STARZ renewed BMF for a third season in January. “BMF captures the essence of Detroit through elevated, gritty storytelling and our fans have passionately responded to this show more than ever before,” STARZ president of programming Kathryn Busby said in a statement. “Following such a strong debut with Season 2, we’re thrilled to continue to expand on the incredible story of the Flenory brothers as they change the game by writing their own rules. We can’t wait to see what our extraordinary producers and cast deliver next.”

Lil Baby Performs At Kids’ Choice Awards, Fans React & Call It Inappropriate

Lil Baby just performed at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, and many fans believe that it was an inappropriate appearance. Moreover, he rapped the cut “California Breeze” off his latest album, 2022’s It’s Only Me. While he gave a cleaned-up rendition of the track, many still pointed to the track’s sexually explicit lyrical content. Of course, conversations like these surrounding kids’ proximity to genres like hip-hop are nothing new. Still, it was quite bizarre to see the Atlanta MC try to turn up some 11-year-olds.

Furthermore, Twitter had a field day reacting to the sight and cracking some jokes about it. “Lil Baby performing at a kids choice awards is like Yo Gotti performing at a back to school tour,” one fan remarked. Another wrote, “Y’all worried about Lil Baby Performing at the Kids choice awards but your kids know every word to Glorilla songs and s**t and they are twerking. Ijs like the selective outrage ain’t none of this music kid appropriate now a days let’s be honest!” That “selective outrage” reference is likely from Chris Rock’s latest comedy special, which itself drew some fire online.

“California Breeze” Takes Kids’ Choice Awards By Storm

However, any complaints from online adults don’t concern kids loving the performance onstage. After all, a lot of the show’s target audience isn’t quite at the impressionable teen age that these lyrics could more confidently affect. As such, they were just happy to dance along to the song and not really care about (or fully understand) what Baby was saying. Also, the 28-year-old probably got the gig in the first place because he has young kids of his own. What’s more is that eight-year-old Jason and four-year-old Loyal also attended the awards ceremony alongside their dad.

Meanwhile, Baby’s latest headline appearances stemmed from topics that would’ve torn the Kids’ Choice stage apart. Moreover, Blueface and Chrisean Rock fought recently over Baby contacting Chrisean. Since then, the California rapper adamantly claimed that him, as well as other rappers like Rick Ross, want to get with her. Overall, it’s quite hilarious but also enlightening to see just how many lanes the “Freestyle” artist finds himself in. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Baby and check out more reactions down below.

Travis Scott Faces Potential Lawsuit After Throwing Fan’s Phone

Travis Scott was out of control in New York City this week. We previously reported that the “SICKO MODE” rapper faces potential charges following an alleged altercation with a sound engineer earlier this week. The man, who identified as only Mark, said the rapper punched him in the face, leaving him hospitalized. Though he didn’t confirm whether or not he would press charges, Scott’s team reportedly arranged for his return to NYC next week to speak to detectives.

The rapper allegedly fled the club to take a private jet to California after things went sour during the show. Mark said that the rapper attacked him after asking to turn the volume down since a distorted sound came out of the speakers. However, the rapper allegedly lost his cool and assaulted the engineer before destroying $12K worth of equipment in the venue. However, it wasn’t just equipment that he destructed during his alleged rampage at Nebula in Manhattan.

Travis Scott Faces Potential Lawsuit

Mark wasn’t the only victim who faced Scott’s wrath in New York City. Moments before the alleged attack, Travis apparently got into it with a fan who tried to film him behind the DJ booth. A new video emerged showing the individual getting a close-up of Scott who looks up and proceeds to reach for the phone. The video gets blurry afterward but the phone owner told TMZ that the rapper tossed the phone, which hit his head and cracked the screen.

This is turning out to be another avoidable headache for Scott following the alleged assault on the sound guy. Unlike Mark, the phone owner said that he lawyered up with plans to file criminal charges and a civil lawsuit. The individual said that the owners of Nebula tried to offer his table free liquor for the incident but he ultimately refused. It seems as though Scott might end uphaving to answer for this upon his return to New York City following his headlining performance at Rolling Loud California this weekend. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the situation. You could watch the footage of Scott’s phone toss above.

Chris Brown Throws Fan’s Phone After She Ignores Private Dance

There was a time when fans gave all of their focus to artists at live shows, and Chris Brown demands that sort of attention. Concerts were filled with dancing, singing at the top of your lungs, and grabbing a quick photo or two. These days, shows are flooded with attendees who spend most of their time on their phones. It’s easy to find videos of audiences with thousands of cellphone lights in the air, recording their favorite moments. However, a recent performance by Chris Brown took a turn.

Breezy has dealt with a lot in the past few weeks. The singer has been flooded with one controversy after another, whether it be Tommie Lee or his collaboration with Chlöe. On Thursday (March 2), a video surfaced of Brown giving the performance of his life to a fan who was chosen to take to the stage. Many artists use this method to give their supporters personal interactions. A woman sat in a chair in the middle of the scene as Brown and his dancers delivered a sexy number.

Chris Brown Throws Phone In Frustration

Viewers quickly noted the clip was a tad awkward. The woman seemed both excited and disinterested, as she was focused on her phone more than Breezy. He was giving his best Magic Mike moves, belting out notes, and even attempted a lapdance, but the fan still held tight to her mobile. People speculated that she was simply trying to record the ordeal, but the display seemingly frustrated Brown. He grabbed the woman’s phone at the end of the segment and chucked it into the audience.

The lights cut to black, and what occurred after the incident was unclear. As expected, the video circulated on social media, even prompting a reaction from the hitmaker. On his Instagram Story, the singer shared a video from another fan in the audience who recorded the uncomfortable moment. “F*ck dat phone [sideways crying laughing emoji],” was written over the image.

Fan Get Phone Back

It looked like that phone was gone for good, but Breezy gave an update. “Shawty got her phone back too.. [crying laughing emoji],” Brown wrote in a separate slide. The woman hasn’t been identified, but internet sleuths are hard at work. Check it out above.

Ashanti Reportedly Caught Wearing Nelly’s Chain, Fans Speculate On Another Romance

Ashanti and Nelly might be reigniting their romance after ten years separated, or at least that’s what fans say based on a chain. Moreover, social media speculated on the couple reuniting after fans noticed both of them wearing a similar chain. Furthermore, a fan page of the couple posted a picture of Ashanti wearing a thick, shiny, and silver Cuban link chain. In fact, it looks eerily similar to one that the “Hot In Here” rapper often wears. As such, many warned the singer and actress of straying back into the relationship after he apparently “betrayed” him based on her testimony.

Still, it’s not like the two completely stayed out of each other’s lives, and recent run-ins fueled reunion rumors before this was even a factor. For example, they were recently spotted clubbing after their Nashville concert in early February this year. Meanwhile, back in December of 2022, they performed together for a Christmas concert in Glendale, Arizona. In fact, many people noted their intimate stage chemistry as they performed, which got hopeful fans excited for their reconciliation.

Nelly & Ashanti Turn Heads With Matching Chains

Even with all that fresh excitement, some fans didn’t take too kindly to these rumors. “Girl he wasted your time before he will do it again…” one social media user expressed. “They do look good together though, but no.” Another pointed out that maybe some things are just left up to fate. “Chile soulmates are a thing,” they expressed. Despite shippers expressing their happiness, it didn’t filter out the notably cautionary messages that frequented social media discussions. “She’s in his chain,” another user expressed. “I liked them together but sometimes it’s best to leave people in your past.”

While they didn’t say much about why they broke up back in 2013, they dated since their music careers started. Fans were all the more curious when Ashanti expressed that Nelly “betrayed” her in a 2015 interview. Since then, they reconciled and spoke pretty vaguely about what happened, so clearly not much is set in stone. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest on Ashanti, Nelly, and their potential romantic rekindling.

Freeway Says Dissing Nas Admid His Jay-Z Beef Was “Painful”

Freeway says that dissing Nas during the rapper’s infamous beef with Jay-Z was “painful.” Speaking with VLAD TV, Freeway explained that he was a big fan of the Queens rapper at the time.

“I love Nas, I gotta just let y’all know that,” Freeway said. “That was painful for me. ‘Cause when I was a young boul, they used to call me the Philly Nas. I had this song and I had this hook, ‘They love to hear the story how the thugs live on worry/ Ducking down the car seats, heat is mandatory.’ Like, I LOVE Nas.”

“But like I said, When it come time to ride for the team, I’m riding for the team,” Freeway added. “At that time, we in the middle of it. And it’s time to show and prove. And I’m letting people know what it is: I’m riding for the team. You got a problem with Big Homie, you got a problem with all of us.”

From there, Freeway explained that he and the Queens rapper eventually met after Jay-Z and Nas patched things up. While leaving the music video for “Roc Boys (And the Winner Is),” Freeway let Nas know how big of a fan he is of his work. Nas returned the praise. “When we got outside, I was like ‘Look Nas, I know I dissed you; but I love your shit, I used to listen to your shit as a young boy’,” Freeway recalled. “He was like, ‘Free, I love your shit too, I ain’t even gon’ front, I be listening to you too.’ I was happy we had that moment and I got to tell him how I really felt. That was major for me.”

Jay-Z and Nas’ beef was one of the most famous feuds in hip-hop during the early 2000s. Nas’ song, “Ether,” remains among the most iconic diss tracks in history. Four years after its release, the two mended their relationship publically on stage at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey during Jay-Z’s ‘I Declare War’ tour in October 2005. In the years since, they’ve collaborated on multiple occasions.

GloRilla Snaps On Fan Who Throws Jacket In Her Face

GloRilla continues to blossom in the public eye but that’s also made her a target for some unwanted interactions with fans. Last week, the rapper found herself in the middle of a light altercation following a club appearance. She claimed the promoter paid her $30K for a walkthrough while Yo Gotti confirmed that it costs a whole lot more to watch Glo perform. Though the promoter later said he was under the impression that she would perform, the miscommunication created friction between the rapper and her audience. Unfortunately, this left fans upset and one fan tried to get at Glo.

As GloRilla tried to leave the venue, one fan threw a bottle of water at her. Glo’s security quickly intervened but the clip immediately went viral on Twitter. Though the fan clearly felt that they didn’t get their money’s worth to see GloRilla in the flesh, her actions truly revealed how entitled fans are toward artists. Later on, one person claimed GloRilla was shook to return to Oakland, where the incident took place, but the Memphis rapper quickly shut it down.

GloRilla Fan Ruins The Show

GloRilla fans can’t seem to control themselves these days. The Memphis rapper performed at a concert when one fan threw a jacket at Glo. Unfortunately, that interrupted the whole flow of the show and the Memphis star had to put things on pause to issue a stern warning to the individual. “Who the f*ck threw that?” Glo asked the crowd after the jacket hit her in the face. After scouring the audience, she finally identified the culprit.

“You with the red braids?” she said, pointing towards the person as the instrumental to “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” played in the background. At that point, GloRilla issued a stern warning to the person. “Now, listen, lil’ girl. Don’t throw shit on stage,” she said as her back-up dancers came to her side. “Don’t throw no jacket at me. That hit me in the face,” she said. “See, I was just about to jump in the crowd. She fucked it up,” Glo added before taking a selfie with one of her dancers. Check out the post above.
