Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out” concert boasted a lot of special guest performers and attendees, but there’s one particular exclusion that has many fans speculating on potential explanations. Moreover, the show was a celebration of all things West Coast, but some rappers that have repped Los Angeles all the way did not appear for unknown and likely innocent reasons. However, one MC who didn’t attend might have more reason to avoid an appearance, and that’s The Game. Social media began to theorize on why he wasn’t there, especially considering that he and K.Dot have had a pretty good and stable relationship over the years.

Still, some factors have always interfered with this perception, such as past claims of jealousy and, most notably and recently, The Game’s apparent support of Drake during the latter’s beef with Kendrick Lamar this year. In fact, he even dissed Rick Ross, who supported Ken against his formerly close colleague Drizzy, so a lot of fans assumed that the Los Angeles spitter sided with his city’s opposition this time around. Regardless of whether this was intentional or not, there honestly aren’t a whole lot of solid indicators that he actually picked a side. The closest thing we got to that was a social media post playing The Boy’s “Energy,” which was enough confirmation for many.

Meanwhile, this is what The Game had to say a few years ago about his exclusion from 2022’s Super Bowl halftime show, which hosted many Los Angeles artists including Kendrick Lamar. “I was hurt by that,” he told I Am Athlete‘s Brandon Marshall. “The real reason I wasn’t on the Super Bowl is because I’m not a ‘safe’ artist. You don’t know what the Game gon’ do when he get up there. So, it’s just like, ‘He not safe,’ so they went with the safe artists.

What many people jokingly called “Hatechella” last night had a bit more to it than that, but regardless, Kendrick Lamar and his “Pop Out” concert with what felt like the entire West Coast was a pretty scathing way to claim victory against Drake. The man opened with “Euphoria,” and it was clear from Ken’s very first note that this was going to be a nasty double-down against his opponent. While Drake hasn’t said much to indicate his thoughts on the matter (though there are hints), there are many fans on both sides currently speculating on what his reaction must’ve been like and what he did or is doing right now that could reflect that.

Furthermore, one of the main factors driving these Drake theories is that Kendrick Lamar had a lot of people in attendance that were not as obviously on Team K.Dot before, but certainly look like they are now. The biggest examples of this are a couple of NBA players. DeMar DeRozan (whom Kendrick rapped about leaving the Toronto Raptors on “Not Like Us”) and Russell Westbrook took the stage to dance to the diss, and LeBron James and James Harden were in attendance. “Lebron rapping along to ‘the other vaginal option’ gonna send Drake into a tailspin lmaooooo,” one fan wrote.

Meanwhile, another big factor of many of these reactions, especially from the OVO camp, is how Kendrick Lamar and the West Coast should thank Drake for this. After all, a lot of people see this success as a direct result of using The Boy’s name for “clout,” as bizarre as it is to say one of the biggest rappers alive someone who needs any more of that. But there’s a lot of new things that Mr. Morale did in the beef’s aftermath, like speaking at Compton College and reuniting Black Hippy, that he might not have done if he didn’t have good reason to. Nevertheless, Kendrick also made it clear that this moment means much more to him than any feud, and that this is just capitalizing on one domino that fell and created momentum for much more.

From what these reactions indicate, there’s no telling how Drake really feels about the Kendrick Lamar show right now. Maybe he’ll respond with some subliminal disses, IG Story shade, or another sort of clap-back or public address. His fans reacted quite comically to all this as well, in amicable and not-so-friendly ways alike. All of them are valid, though. After all, most of us don’t know what it’s like to have about 17,000 people diss you on repeat about eight or nine times throughout a celebration.

The-Dream Hit With Barrage Of Roasts For His Live Singing Vocals

The-Dream is a living legend. Throughout his illustrious career, the Atlanta, Georgia singer and songwriter has accomplished so many things. From helping pen some of the biggest hits in R&B and rap history, to providing his trademark tenor vocals for other artists, he has done it all. However, some days you are not going to bring your best stuff as a musician. It happens to even the best of the best, and for The-Dream, it took place earlier this month. Footage from the Roots Picnic — an annual music festival held in Philadelphia– has just surfaced. The two-day event saw artists like Lil Wayne, The Roots, Smino, Sexyy Red, Andre 3000, and The-Dream all show up for the 16th installment.

It looks to be taken by an audience member while the veteran was onstage. Right away, The-Dream’s vocals seemed to be off-note or off-pitch, and the crowd immediately reacted with secondhand embarrassment. Perhaps the funniest moment of the whole video happens when the camera turns toward the fan recording the questionable performance. All she can do is look absolutely confused and taken aback.

The Game Sparks Heated Debate Online After Posting Photos With His Daughter

The Game always takes pride in being a caring and loving father. However, some people are not seeing that one bit somehow. Not too long ago, the California rapper is a father of three shared some cute family pics with everyone wearing an all-baby blue color scheme. He captioned the collage, “Being a father is definitely what I’m best at.” The first photo sees the rapper, along with one of his sons and his daughter, California. However, it is the two that follow that are creating chatter. The debate here is that The Game is getting too intimate with his daughter.

As you can see below, California is sitting in his lap, with two different actions. In the first one, The Game lays a smooch on the cheek. The subsequent image shows him resting his forehead on her shoulder. Seeing upset people in the comments section of the 44-year-old’s posts is nothing new. In fact, just about a week ago, the Atlanta Black Star News reported that The Game deleted a ton of photos from his IG, including a touching post showing how proud he was of California for graduating from the 8th grade.

Young Thug’s Brother Unfoonk Bamboozles Fans With Cryptic Message: “Should I Set The Record Straight”

Young Thug, as everyone knows at this point, is still working tirelessly to make his case and be a free man in the near future. Unfortunately, it seems that every other day presents a new setback for the Atlanta, Georgia influencer and multi-hyphenate. One of them involves his brother and fellow YSL rapper, Unfoonk. Many fans observing this case closely feel that he screwed over his blood relative by accepting his plea deal nearly one year ago. To recap, Unfoonk pleaded guilty to one count of violating the state’s RICO act in addition to another count of theft by receiving stolen property. It led to a 12-year sentence, which includes 10 on probation. Now, Young Thug’s brother has a message that is seemingly making him more enemies by the second.

According to HipHopDX, Unfoonk was all sorts of cryptic, sharing the note on his Instagram story. “Should I set the record straight or let the world think what they wanna think”, he said. Clearly, there is no telling what he could be possibly referring to, other than some stray link to the YSL RICO case. Obviously, fans were leaving with more questions rather than answers.

Enchanting Remembered Fondly By Fans Following Her Tragic Passing

Yesterday was a tough one to get through for a lot of hip-hop fans. Earlier in the day on June 11, a stunning report came through that 1017 labelmate, Enchanting, was on life support. No further information was provided, but the news was broken by the rapper and singer’s sister Kayy Jayy via Facebook. On top of her sister, family, and friends going through it, multiple publications were reporting that she had already passed on. However, Kayy Jayy immediately shut down the rumors, saying, “Can y’all stop posting you have actual facts. She’s still fighting, she’s not dead… I’m here at the hospital. My sister is not dead”. Sadly though, the worse result imaginable happened, as Enchanting lost her life not too long after being taken off life support. Fans and artists have been in shock over this news, as a lot of them saw true potential in Enchanting.

There is already a massive X (formerly Twitter) thread of her supporters shedding light on how much she left ahead of her. Many are recognizing that she was incredibly versatile, being able to shift from mellow R&B to aggressive trap rap. Others are just having a hard time mustering anything, as Enchanting’s death happened out of nowhere. You can see the overflowing love and adoration for the 26-year-old below.
