Doja Cat Deactivates Instagram Due To Fan Toxicity, Users Clap Back

Doja Cat announced via Instagram on Saturday (March 9) that she would be deactivating her account on the social media platform, and as of writing this article, it has in fact disappeared. “hey i’m gonna deactivate because im not really feeling this anymore,” she captioned her last picture on the app so far. “you guys take care of yourselves. i like coming here to find inspo and see people being creative but i just feel like this is getting to be too much. the way im spoken to on here and treated makes me have f***ed up thoughts. Please watch how you talk to and about people on the internet. Bye.”

Moreover, many fans had pretty bewildered reactions considering the complicated relationship that the Los Angeles star has with her fanbase. In August of last year, she didn’t reciprocate fans saying they loved her and said that people calling themselves “Kittenz” as fans of her needed to “get a job.” Doja Cat is definitely appreciative of all the success and of the opportunities across her career, but only to a certain extent. As such, a lot of people criticized this decision to leave IG and blaming fans for turning their backs, whether that’s justified or not.

Doja Cat Announces IG Deactivation

On the other hand, Doja Cat has also been in plenty of controversies that have also brought about a lot of backlash. For example, there’s her very old history of participating in racist chat rooms, which definitely ran its course and is something she grew from. However, more recent drama such as the Scarlet creative’s supposedly naive endorsement of Sam Hyde, whom she apparently didn’t know was tied to the alt-right, have made these developments fall under darker context. But it’s tough to call how much of this Instagram leave is due to legitimate criticism or undue hate, because she’s gotten a lot of both recently.

Meanwhile, this is all rather saddening because of what Doja is going through elsewhere. The court recently denied her a restraining order against her allegedly abusive brother. Hopefully there is not enough danger there to warrant one down the road, and that the family can move on from this chapter. For more news and the latest updates on Doja Cat, stick around on HNHH.

Meek Mill Shouts Out Mystery Woman Who Raps His Song Perfectly, Fans Question It

Meek Mill is a big fan of his fans, often shouting out their praises on his social media or advocating for them in his messages and industry moves. Moreover, it’s no surprise that he would want to shout out a mystery woman (well, not mystery: she’s content creator Aggy Baby) that rapped his track “Whatever I Want” with Fivio Foreign on her Instagram Story on his own IG page. The Philly MC has always engaged in this type of behavior online, yet recent context seems to have made fans forget that. For example, many folks such as this commenter had another interpretation of this: “he’s still on this ‘look at me, I’m not gay’ tour!

Furthermore, this narrative is something that has plagued Meek Mill in a nastily homophobic way (a sad two-way street) ever since he was implicitly mentioned in a sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy. This was his response to comedian Andrew Schulz making fun of this matter. “the first time I laughed at being gay,” the HEATHENISM rapper tweeted in response to Schulz’s joke with a bunch of laughing emojis. “But don’t with me in real life I May swing lol.”

Elsewhere, though, Meek Mill is focusing back up on his commitment to his community. “If you black or brown talk about this,” he said of a recent shooting in his home city that injured eight children, two of which were in critical condition. “It’s kids that’s gonna pick up guns because they think they gonna die b4 they turn 21 for a gun license! You will go from Xbox to Glock because of your environment. And get locked up for trying to survive. It it’s terrible!

“I wanna help [the mayor] especially with education…” the 36-year-old continued in a follow-up tweet. “I have dreams of working with the Yas foundation with dream chasers academy to offer these kids resources with technology and to travel outside of that environment to understand life! I’m in on reform ima join helping with education!” For more news and the latest updates on Meek Mill, come back to HNHH.

Drake & 4batz’s “Act II: Date @ 8 Remix” Receives Lukewarm Feedback From Fans

4batz’s meteoric rise to notoriety is due to his mega overnight sensation of a song, “act ii: date @ 8.” Fans are falling in love with the sticky melody, its dreamy beat, and the Dallas, Texas native’s high-pitch vocals. So much so in fact, that the song is already at a staggering 80 million streams in the three months it has been out. It is a straightforward cut about spoiling a woman and proving why he is the one for her. However, there is a massive camp that believes 4batz is an industry plant and that the song is just okay. But, Drake clearly liked what he heard and he decided to work with 4batz for the remix.

The rapper and singer only has three tracks in his discography, but based “act ii,” Drake saw potential. The Canadian superstar has a history of striking when the iron is hot. He did it with ILOVEMAKONNEN, Smiley, and a few others. Even with the big co-sign a lot of people are still sticking to their guns about how mediocre the track is.

In The End The Consensus Seems To Be That It’s Okay

Twitter sure had a lot to say about the collaboration with some saying Drake carried and others felt his part was trash. However, there are few supporters sprinkled in throughout all of the animosity. “That 4batz x drake remix slides,” one user says. Another adds, “this reminds me of sweeterman. I like the vibe.” All in all though, it seems that fans are lukewarm on it. 4batz is rumored to be dropping a six song EP that have “act” in the title, according to Genius. We are already at three installments, so the tape should be coming soon. Maybe that will put some haters to rest?

What are your thoughts on “act ii: date @ 8 remix” by Drake and 4batz? What camp are you in for this song? Do you think 4batz will be a one-hit wonder, or does he have real star potential? What version do you prefer and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Bobby V Goes Commando In Viral Performance, Fans Can’t Help But Clown Him

Bobby V recently went viral for his recent performance, although it’s unfortunately not for the talent he exhibited during it. Rather, it’s actually for his exposed hips, since many fans noticed that he apparently wasn’t wearing underwear beneath his jeans, and proceeded to clown him online. “It might look good in person,” one fan joked of the Millennium Tour participant. “Freeballin jeans gotta be a incarcerationable offense,” another added, with a particularly cheeky fan referencing another fashionably provocative celebrity. “He got the low rise Britney Spears joints on lol,” they wrote, with a user providing the best possible pun around this. “Bobby just wanted to show yall his V.”

Furthermore, apart from this performance, Bobby V is pretty low-key and under the radar these days, which must feel nice. After all, even the happiest or most successful celebrity in the world can’t keep up with so much attention all the time. Regardless, he is still moving his career forward and making the best out of it, with some potential opportunities on the horizon. For example, Ray J said last year that he wants a Verzuz rematch with Bobby Valentino, Sammie, and Pleasure P.

Ya’ll back there singing my songs and s**t, throwing me off.

“I over-rehearsed, you know?” he continued. “I learned from what I did wrong and I want my get back, too. Can ya’ll run me my get back? I’m ready to get back right now. Were we at? Frank Ocean Flaunts His Muscular Physique In New Selfie And Fans Can’t Contain Themselves

Whenever Frank Ocean does anything online, fans go wild for it, even if it’s as simple as a hairstyle change. Moreover, he just uploaded a new series of snaps on Instagram, one of which shows him rocking a wrestling outfit and a whole lot of firepower. Fans were very quick to comment on the Endless creative’s jacked physique, and how it seems like he’s been spending all his time at the gym when he should be working on the release of new material. But then again, it’s been seven-and-a-half years since his last full-length Blonde in 2016, so he had plenty of time to hit the weights at his own pace.

Jokes aside, the sheer quality of this scant but classic discography has kept fans fed for a long, long time. As such, many of them are happily patient to wait for new music whenever Frank Ocean is ready, whereas others make the pain of patience for him their whole musical personality. Either way, each group definitely contributed to him becoming the most streamed independent artist of all time in late 2023. Sure, the Long Beach native wasn’t always independent, but much of his most popular material came after going his own way. Check out some more of what he posted on his IG Story on Monday (March 4) down below.

What’s more is that another elusive legend in music recently spoke on how the “Higgs” crooner inspired him to pop out of the shadows more, which is quite ironic. “A year after Idlewild at home, I was blessed to start getting asked to be on remixes,” André 3000 expressed told Questlove last year. “And that was a blessing for me because it gave me a chance to rap. When I say a blessing, this is a town creating a new sound. DJ Unk actually came through another DJ friend of mine that know Unk, and Unk said, ‘Ask Andre if he’ll get on [the ‘Walk It Out’] beat.’ It was no big production; I don’t know if I got paid for the [remix]. I think the trade-off was, ‘Hey Unk, can you do a couple beats that we scratched in the background of my cartoon for Class of 3000?’”

“The beat was so jammin’ that you just wanted to get on it,” he continued. “So I say the blessing because any rapper just wanna be on a good beat and in the city. Or even later, like, new artists. Even if a Frank Ocean says, ‘Hey, get on my song’… Frank Ocean’s a new artist, I don’t know him. When I say a blessing, that introduced me to a whole other generation, too. I say blessing because we just came off Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and Idlewild. Which was a musical, more focused, melodic kind of thing, so I didn’t rap a lot in those offerings. So I say a blessing because it gave me an opportunity to do what I enjoy doing.” Let’s hope Frank finds the same opportunity soon. Meek Mill’s Latest Twitter Like Has Fans Raising Their Eyebrows

Meek Mill’s been warring with the Internet ever since his name was seemingly redacted in a sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy. Moreover, many people speculated on their alleged intimate relationship and history, which he took to social media to blast outright. Unfortunately for the Philadelphia MC, this means that folks will scrutinize and criticize his activity on social media and elsewhere much more closely. As such, it didn’t take fans long to spot a post that he liked on Twitter that raised a lot of eyebrows. In it, a fan seemingly approaches the Dream Chasers rapper and speaks to him as he chills out in a pool.

“Meek mill cooling ’em cakes after all night of bender [crying-laughing emoji],” the tweet’s caption read. In addition, the use of words like “daddy” and “king size” also made fans chuckle in the replies and question why he would even like this. Also, the tweet is a reply to a meme about the Diddy allegations and his industry proximities. Of course, it’s always possible that this could just be a hack of some sort, but it seems like a pretty light and innocuous instance if that’s the case. After all, there’s a lot more you could do with Meek’s Twitter account.

Furthermore, fans already saw how this whole debacle and slew of claims, allegations, and discoveries resulted in some combative responses from him. For example, Meek Mill reignited his beef with DJ Akademiks given that the media personality was the main media source pointing to his involvement in the Diddy lawsuit. It got pretty nasty between the two, who had previously engaged in and then squashed beef, but that didn’t last long. Other than that, most of his responses to people that weren’t Ak were much more general and unspecific.

Meanwhile, Fivio Foreign recently came forward to defend his collaborator. “The streets ah never a weird industry n**** take out a n**** like meek..,” he expressed on Twitter on Wednesday (February 28). “He do too much for the trenches. We gon hold each other down from now on it’s 2024.. It’s Blue World Order.” For more news and the latest updates on Meek Mill, check back in with HNHH.

Nicki Minaj Kicks Off “Pink Friday 2” Tour In Oakland: See The Barbz’ Reactions

Nicki Minaj officially kicked off her Pink Friday 2 tour on Friday (March 1) in Oakland, California, and fans couldn’t be happier with the results. Moreover, the Barbz took to social media to share not just their hype for the trek, but in the case of those who attended, some high praise. For example, many folks remarked on the extensive and versatile setlist, whereas others lauded the production design, outfit changes, Monica’s mid-show slot, and much more. Most importantly, though, die-hards are very happy to see the Trinidadian MC’s excited and engaged energy during this first show, and hope it continues for the rest of the journey.

Furthermore, it was mostly a very wholesome affair, but the Barbz let some of their online crusading into the building, too. For example, fans started a “F**k Latto” chant during this Oakland tour-opening show, alluding to Latto and Nicki Minaj’s beef in the past. It’s disheartening to see this feud bleed into live spaces, especially because it opens the floodgates for more combative scenarios moving forward. But die-hards were happy to chant along, and hopefully these femcees flaunt their artistry more competitively as a result.

Barbz React To The Pink Friday 2 Tour’s Opening Night

As the first female rapper to hit a billion streams in 2024, Nicki Minaj has a lot to celebrate, and a lot of material to showcase. From what setlist.fm indicates, this first show was obviously very dominant with Pink Friday 2, but contained plenty of beloved classics and gems across her catalog. Although the 41-year-old has a lot of new endeavors and releases to promote and hone, we’re sure that this must be a cathartic moment for Barbz everywhere who’ve been waiting to see her for so long. With that in mind, you can see it for yourself and check out more fan reactions down below.

Meanwhile, this unfortunately coincided with a new lawsuit against her and her husband Kenneth Petty for alleged backstage assault. This certainly paints the Pink Friday 2 tour in a different light, yet it’s important to note that isolated (and especially alleged) incidents are not reflective of any wider patterns. Still, it’s not the first accusation thrown their way, so we’ll see what comes of it. On that note, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Nicki Minaj.

Cardi B Gets Fans Riled Up Over New Single, “Like What (Freestyle)”: See Reactions

Cardi B is back, and the Bardi Gang couldn’t be happier with her new single, the vicious “Like What (Freestyle).” Moreover, social media lit up with a firestorm of reactions, whether they were excited, skeptical, critical, or simply happy to have an album rollout finally in our hands. Sure, there was the Megan Thee Stallion collab “Bongos” last year, but this feels like a more elaborate and special drop with more anticipation behind it. After all, both femcees basically did a dual comeback moment, and they both went on to provide the true individual kick-offs to their respective new eras.

Furthermore, a lot of fans broke down the bars on “Like What (Freestyle),” commented on the Missy Elliott and Timbaland sampling in the beat, and spoke on Cardi B’s performance as a rapper. Overall, reactions seem pretty positive online, and most folks understood the assignment and are looking at this as a straight-up rap song. But another notable aspect that folks found curious was the fact that the Bronx rapper’s on-and-off-again husband, Offset, directed the video. The Bardi Gang reacted particularly wildly to this, as their relationship status is still unclear.

For example, a Valentine’s Day date indicated that they were patching things up following news that they were split for a while. In addition, they both continued to support each other’s moves and, clearly, chose to eschew this personal separation’s impact on their professional working relationship. Regardless, Cardi B’s listeners have a lot more to chew on, such as brand references, cheeky turns of phrase, and a whole lot of attitude. It’s great to see her reenergized like this, and you can check out more fan reactions down below.

Fans React To ScHoolboy Q’s New Album “Blue Lips,” AOTY Praise Dominates

After a long five-year-or-so wait, ScHoolboy Q is finally back in the album game with his new offering, Blue Lips. Across 18 songs, 56 minutes, and with the help of eight featured artists across nine guest spots and a wealth of talented producers, he came through with a versatile, vibrant, often messy, but still compelling project. But that’s what this writer thinks; what about die-hards who have also been waiting on new music from the TDE rapper for years? Well, if Twitter is anything to go by, then he definitely found a big hit with audiences with this new record.

Furthermore, many fans compared the “Love Birds” MC’s Blue Lips to previously beloved LPs in his catalog like Oxymoron and Blank Face. However, it’s not much of a comparison, as he reinvents himself in both measured and aggressive spaces on this new album. What’s more is that ScHoolboy Q’s also been very active on social media, responding to praise for the album and providing some wholesome fan interactions. It goes to show an underrated part of the album rollout experience: artists enjoying the process, their craft, and their results as much as the ears they intended to hit.

ScHoolboy Q Gets Fans’ Praise For Blue Lips

Meanwhile, this album also wasn’t without its fair share of eyebrow-raising lyrical moments, the biggest of which (at press time) has nothing to do with ScHoolboy Q. Freddie Gibbs reignited his beef with DJ Akademiks with his feature verse on “oHio,” which had a lot of fans joking around online. It’s nowhere near the most standout part of the lyrical content here, but it’s the most headline-inducing detail listeners have noticed so far in the few hours since Blue Lips‘ release. It will be interesting to see what bar-for-bar breakdowns of this record will yield in the coming days and weeks. Check out more reactions to the project down below.

But enough about Twitter fingers; what did you think of Blue Lips? Do you think that Jay-Z had the same to say about the album when he listened to it or must he have some untapped genius beyond our grasp? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments section down below. Also, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on ScHoolboy Q.

Did Joe Budden Or Ja Rule Have The Better “It Up” Song? Fans Debate

Joe Budden and Ja Rule were two big figures in 2000s East Coast hip-hop, and they really represent the era in hindsight. Of course, the latter was certainly more commercially successful than the former, but they still inhabit rap culture today as emblematic rappers of the time. Thanks to a new post on the Joe Budden TV community on social media around Tuesday (February 20), fans of both are now debating which one had the better hit with “It Up” in the title. What wins: Budden’s 2003 cut “Pump It Up” or Rule’s 2001 record “Livin’ It Up”? Moreover, fans seem split on the decision, and there was plenty of appreciation for both.

“Depends on the crowd,” one fan shared in the Joe Budden and Ja Rule debate. “Pump it up hit on the dance floor but any other setting living it up get all ages moving.” “Joe got it on this one (comfortably I might add) but man did Ja have a run,” another conceded. “stop playin on Joe’s name lol. pump it up was/is WAY better,” a user argued, with a big Ja fan adding: “Dawg you must’ve forgot the living it up hook vocals + the beat.” Check out some more reactions and arguments in the comments of the post below.

Joe Budden’s “Pump It Up” Or Ja Rule’s “Livin’ It Up”? Fans Debate Under Post Below

In other news, Ja Rule recently reflected on how he kind of regrets taking a break from music ahead of his comeback album. “Damn sitting here listening to my new album 12 songs in, it’s making me a lil sad I should’ve never stopped making music. I’m SORRY… #CWWTST.” We wonder if Joe Budden shared this sentiment when it comes to his own career, but considering his wide media success and notoriety these days, it’s probably not such a big regret.

Speaking of which, the former Everyday Struggle host is still going strong with his podcast. On he and his crew’s latest episode, they reviewed Vultures, the first in a supposed series of collaborative albums from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign. Regardless of that, let us know where you fall on the “Pump It Up” and “Livin’ It Up” debate in the comments section down below.
