“Today is a big day, I drop a new single with City Girls, Fabolous. We all teamed up together to make the song of the summer, “Act Bad,” Diddy said. “‘Act Bad’ means just being free, enjoying yourself, letting go, not giving a f*ck.”

Loso delivers the single’s opening bars weaving his verse inside Diddy’s, bringing ample DeLeon shoutouts, letting you know that should be your drink of the season. Yung Miami then takes over for an isolation verse full of tools to an Act Bad summer.

Diddy Gets Straight-Up Naked In His, City Girls, And Fabolous’ Absolutely Wild New ‘Act Bad’ Video

Diddy is a notorious bad boy, City Girls can’t help but act up, and Fabolous has made the streets his family. So when all three musicians come together, it will surely be an epic party. On their new collaborative track, “Act Bad,” co-produced by Diddy himself, the group wants it to be known that the summer is theirs for the taking.

In the official visual for “Act Bad,” directed by Kid Art, all eyes are on Diddy and his “special friend,” Yung Miami, as they can’t keep their eyes and hands off of each other. As the recording artists race down the Miami highway in their exotic cars, endlessly party, and overly consume Diddy’s DeLeón Tequila, it is clear that they have no care in the world. At one point, Diddy is even full-blown naked.

JT raps, “When a broke hoe’s hot, that’s bad advice / And these n***** ain’t sh*t, act bad for life / They treat a good girl wrong, and a bad one nice / So act,” driving home the point that respectability politics or other’s opinions of her behavior doesn’t matter in the slightest.

The song’s concept is essentially the subtle art of “not giving a f*ck,” according to the mogul. In a video shared on Instagram, Diddy spoke about the single, saying, “[Fabolous, City Girls, and I] all teamed up together to drop the song of the summer. It’s gonna be an Act Bad summer.”

Diddy & Fabolous Link Up With The City Girls To “Act Bad” In Raunchy New Music Video

It’s no secret that Yung Miami’s lingo tends to catch on quickly both on the internet and in real life. One of the latest phrases she’s been using is “acting bad,” or “real bad,” ultimately inspiring her to team up with JT, Diddy, and Fabolous, to create what some are already calling the “song of the summer.” On Friday (May 26) the collaborators dropped off “Act Bad,” along with a wildly raunchy music video that sees the New York native dancing naked during an evening of wild partying.

“It’s going to be an ‘Act Bad’ summer,” Sean Combs declared in an Instagram post the day before dropping off his latest banger. As Hypebeast reports, the father of six has previously defined the phrase as “being free, enjoying yourself, letting go, and not giving a f*ck.” If nothing else, today’s Kid Art-directed visual perfectly emulates all of that, with the Bad Boy founder getting even wilder for the camera than his Florida-based friends.

Diddy Declares “Act Bad” The “Song Of The Summer”

Of course, Yung Miami and JT have their moments too, taking turns rapping the chorus for the camera while twerking and showing off their bodacious bodies. “Act Bad” marks the partner in rhyme’s first release of 2023, following their promise from a few months ago that this summer will mark the arrival of new music from the City Girls. They previously previewed a title of their own, called “Piñata” during Rolling Loud California, but opted to drop off their sure-fire hit with Diddy first.

Interestingly, the new joint effort comes just days after Caresha clapped back at a Twitter troll asking about upcoming releases from them. It remains unclear when they plan to give us more, but it likely won’t be much longer seeing as the three-year anniversary of City On Lock is quickly approaching. Do you have plans to “Act Bad” along with Diddy, the City Girls, and Fabolous this summer? Let us know in the comments, and tap into the NSFW music video on YouTube above.

Fabolous Wants To Collab With Eminem, Calls Him “Real Hip-Hop”

Fabolous recently shared that there is one artist he has not collaborated with yet but would like to in the future – Eminem. At the Tunecore “Hip-Hop 50” event, the rapper gave an interview on the red carpet. As part of the line of questions, the interviewer asked Fabolous who he would want to work with that he hasn’t had the chance to. Though he took a moment to chastise the interviewer for putting him on the spot, he quickly came up with an answer. Fabolous named Eminem, and he said he admires Em’s lyrical skills. He also described him as a true representation of hip-hop. “In Hip Hop, I think I want to get with Eminem,” he said. “He’s real Hip Hop.”

Though Eminem seems to inspire Fabolous, other artists also find inspiration from him. While he may not be as commercially successful as he once was, his influence on the game is undeniable. Earlier this year, Drake paid tribute to Fabolous on Instagram, crediting him with shaping his style and sound. Drake shared two throwback photos of Fabolous from the early 2000s and wrote that he wouldn’t be where he is today without him.

Fabolous’ Gym Bangers

Although Fabolous has not been releasing music as frequently in recent years, there is something in the pipeline. The New York rapper is joining Jim Jones, Maino, and Dave East for a collaborative album. The rappers named their album Fit Lit, inspired by their love of the gym. They released a track under the same name last year, but they only recently announced the album. In an interview with the Amazing AllHipHop Podcast, Maino revealed the news. “I’m gonna tell you some secretive shit that I’ve never talked about,” Maino said. “It’s actually an album that’s I’ll say 85 percent done — me, Jim, Fabolous and Dave East. We got some heat.”

The New York rappers dropped the title track early last year. It was released as part of Jim Jones’ mixtape with DJ Drama, We Set The Trends. Alone with the track, the quartet released a video. It was filmed inside a gym, fittingly. What do you think about Fabolous’ choice of collab partner? Would you like to hear a song from Em and Fabolous? Sound off in the comments!
